Here's all Q&A:
Q1. Stephane, how do you plan to manage both coaching and other activities? Looks like you will be very, very, very busy in upcoming 16-17 season. And Dennis, I saw you in Makuhari, how did you like Japan??
A1. D: I LOVE Japan! I hope to perform there someday!
S: I have been coaching since 2010 and opened my own school two years ago, so it won't change my schedule much.
Q2. About new season, two programs choreography by Stéphane, so who choose the music? Which style of songs? And Dennis, do you prefer any kind of music that you think you can explain well?
A2. D: I want to master all types of music.
S: He was surprised at first with my two suggestions, but as soon as we listened to the music on the ice, it was clear that it suited him.
Q3. Do you plan to take some other specialist to work in your team in 3S?
A3. S: #Team3S is already quite big, actually! During our summer camp early August, Deniss has benefitted from the experiences of Peter Grütter and Salome Brunner among others.
Q4. I also wanted to ask if Peter and Salome will be helping. Will they continue to be involved? They did such an awesome job with you!
A4. S: They will continue to be involved!
Q5. My question is about your personalities. Do you have (and if yes, then what) some ideas, suggestions, rules or just routine habits, that are pretty similar and those that are completly different? For example, you two like the same melodies (or maybe thae same dishes) and your feelings about them are almost the same and when you discovered this, it was like "Wow, that's my soulmate!". Or the opposite - one of you is sleeping till the midday, and the other is waking up in the dawn and is already ready to skate, and it is like "Ok, we need to work more on this".
A5. S&D: We are cooking-soulmates, that much is clear!
S: Deniss is kind of a computer game fan, and I wouldn't touch them with a ten-foot pole!
Q6. Will you be with Deniss at Rostelecom Cup (I am asking also because you are supposed to skate at Kings on Ice in Tallin at that time)?
A6. S: Unfortunately, this plan has changed, and I will not be able to participate in Kings on Ice in Tallinn and Riga...
Q6+1. Thank you. Yes, I wanted to go to Kings on Ice either in Riga or in Tallin, but it's okay - it will be very interesting to see you at the boards and in the Kiss & Cry with Deniss at Rostelecom Cup and other competitions.
Q6+2. I'm speachless about this news... cos I have tikets for all my family to the show in Tallin. And I bought it few days ago after video with you was posted at the KoI FB group... Sadly...
A6+1. S: I am truly sorry... I hope to be able to perform in Tallinn on another occasion!
Q7. What is the difference between green and black olives?
A7. S: I think it's the colour! But not sure! Bisous mon Fred!
Q8. Can we get any hints about your new programs for this season?
A8. D: The music for my short was recorded in 1968. Try to guess!
Q8+1. I just googled for songs from 1968!!! #1 Hey Jude, that would be a lovely song for you. Or maybe Born to be wild, that may suit well to your personality!
A8+1. D: Keep googling! You're not so far.
Q9. Why did you decide to his coach? I'm so excited this challenge!!!
A9. S: One thing lead to another...! I first discovered Deniss while watching videos of the JGP, maybe two or three years ago, and I was immediately impressed with his presence on the ice. I got to meet him at the YOG in Lillehammer, we talked about his career, his goals, and I invited him to my show, Ice Legends. In May, we started working on his new programs, and we had a really great time. I could see that he really wants to achieve something big in the sport, and when he asked me to be his coach, I didn't need to think too long.
Q10. What are you both expecting from this coaction?
A10. D: I want to improve my skating, get better results, and qualify for the 2018 Olympic Games in Pyeongchang!
Q11. Will you take part in Volvo Cup this autumn or is your first competition in Latvia Latvian figure skating nationals?
A11. D: I will start the season at the Rostelecom Cup in Moscow, and my first competition in Latvia will be Nationals.
Q12. Salut Stephane et Deniss!!! Thank you both for this A&Q. But my question probably will be not quite right according to the theme..Stephane, my question is for you. I'm sure that lots of people like your program "The Water" on the amazing music by Hurts that really love too. But you didn't perform it for so long... fantastic composition. Have you got in your plans a possibility to dance it again?? Thank you for your answer, and yes, I like your emotions on the ice.
A12. S: Thank you so much!! I love this program too. Usually, I keep my programs for one year, then move on to new ones.
Q13. I have been your fan for more than 10 years, but have never had a chance to see you skating live. Is there a chance you could come to Latvia some day, as you are working with Deniss now?
A13. S: I really hope to visit Latvia very soon! It would be wonderful to skate in a show with Deniss in his home country.
Q14. How are you doing after your injury; are you able to jump again? You had spoken before about trying a quad lutz. Is that still a plan you have for this season or will you train another type of quad?
A14. D: I'm doing a lot better. We started jumping doubles this week. In three weeks, I will start working on triples. Afterwards, depending on my condition, I will start practicing quads. I hope that by Worlds, I can show at least one of them—the quad Salchow.
Q15. Stephane, please don't stop the skating for the show. I love YOUR performances more than anything!
A15. S: Thank you! I love to perform and have no plan to stop anytime soon!
Q16. What would be your main focus for the upcoming season? What would you be particularly working on?
A16. D: My main objective this season is to qualify for the 2018 Olympics!
Q17. Steph, you were about Deniss' age when I first saw you, and the sensation I got was quite similar to what I feel about Deniss. What strikes me is the intuitive, innate feeling you both have from such a young age for the music and every detail for the movement. Do you see a bit of yourself in Deniss?
A17. S: I see a lot of myself in Deniss, for sure. But I think he's unique, he has his own style and personality. I'm inspired by his musicality.
Q18. Will you be training mostly in Champéry? Can fans come watch you at the Palladium? If is, when?
A18. S: We will train mostly in Champéry. Practice sessions are in general private though!
Q19. I'm fan of you since 2006. We called you 'sultan of the spin' in Turkey. Do you know this?
A19. S: I didn't know about this nickname, but I like it! Thank you for your wishes!
Q20. Your cooperation is a good news for all passionates of ice skating! Anyway, I think lot of us is wondering if this will change your participation to the different shows Stéphane?
A20. S: I will definitely continue to skate in shows, but I will organize my time around Deniss' training and competition schedule. We already have a solid plan for this season.
Q21. Deniss, please tell us exactly how and when this amazing team was born, when Stèphane contacted you for the first time?
A21. D: Stéphane gave a conference at the YOG in Lillehammer, and when he asked who would like to participate in his show, I raised my hand. The rest, you already know!
Q22. Will we ever get the chance to watch all of you perform live in Greece?
A22. S&D: We would love to come!
Q23. You think you'll be able to participate in the European Championship in Ostrava?
A23. D: Yes, of course!
Q24. Hi, will you ever come to Sweden, Stockholm, again? Please...
A24. S: I hope to perform again in Sweden soon!
Q25. Which one would be the first competition of the season for Denis and will you accompany him?
A25. S: If everything goes well, it will be the Rostelecom Cup in Moscow. I will accompany him.
Q26. Deniss, what do you like about Switzerland? Apart from training with Stèphane, of course... what do you do in your free time in Champery?
A26. D: We have been working together for only a few weeks, but I have already dramatically improved my cooking skills!! The Cooking Master!
Q27. Deniss, what did you find so far you liked the most about your new training environment? Of course, other than having Stéphane as a coach.
A27. D: Being able to watch the sunrise through the windows of the ice rink during the morning practice!
Q28. One question only if you know Azerbaijan, I'm from this country and my big wish to see you here at ice show.
A28. S&D: Thank you! We've never been to Azerbaijan but have heard great things about your country!
