The Givenchy-loving and always chic Ciara has 1-2 stepped back onto the music scene with her new self-titled album, out today (June 9). Known for her daring and titillating dance moves, the singer brought back her strong and feminine style with a cool new edge for her long-awaited new record. “Ciara” is packed with sweet R&B beats oozing with sexuality, highlighted by its sensuous lead single “Body Party.”
Ciara, ‘Ciara’: Track-by-Track Review
“I ended up taking a different creative turn, and that lead me to change the title of the album to ‘Ciara,’” she told Billboard during a recent visit to our studio, explaining why she switched the title from its original name “One Woman Army.”
Ci-Ci’s a force in the style department as well. Relaxed in sweatshirt, leather pants and Dr. Martens boots, watch Ciara chat about her high school days and tell the secrets of her tomboy beginnings, the worst look she ever stepped out in and fashion inspiration in the video above.
“Michael Jackson was my biggest inspiration,” she revealed. “He had a very unique sense of style. Sometimes it could be a bit wild, but I think that’s what made him very bold cause he would take risks.”
