The Harder They Fall #3

P.S. You're Intolerable

Rate this book
My boss, Elliot Levy is intolerable, and I tell him so everyday…in the little notes I write and then hide in the back of my desk.

I can’t exactly say to his face that I’m convinced he’s a cyborg, considering I'm about to become a single mother and I really need to keep my job as his assistant.

Elliot never looks at me, so he doesn’t even notice I’m pregnant until I’m seven months along. The first thing he asks is if I’m planning to come back to work once I have the baby.

Not unexpected.

What is unexpected is Elliot coming to my rescue when I need a place to stay after my daughter is born. While living with him, I get to see a whole other side of him…especially when he walks around his house without a shirt on.

Which he does, ALL. THE. TIME.

I shouldn’t look, but I can’t help it. He’s gorgeous in a suit, but out of one? Devastating.

Elliot shows me he isn’t the heartless robot I once thought. It’s still terrifying to take a chance on him, even when he holds my baby like she’s precious to him, and he touches me like he’s been longing to for ages.

Now that he has me, he isn’t letting me go without a fight.

And Elliot Levy didn’t get where he is in business without learning a few underhanded tricks. What will he do to keep me? To keep us?

P.S. I think I’m falling for you.

nobody asked but here is my top three single mom romance books of 2023 🥁🎉

1- Forever Your Rogue (if you haven’t read it yet what are you waiting for🤨)
2- Irresistible (i just love this so much)
3- P.S. You're Intolerable

now let’s get to the review🏃‍♀️💨

we have all the classic elements: moody and rude billionaire boss, unqualified but successful poor executive assistant, single mom, useless baby daddy, cutest baby girl

BUT what made me love this book❓

1- heroine who accepts money from his extremely rich boss/boyfriend💅🏻 because duh🙄 a couple of thousands won’t make him bankrupt 🤗
2- hero who is rude but also a secret softie. a billionaire who isn’t sleeping around🙏🏼
3- no owd. women? no there’s only 1 woman for him🤰🏼 no omd. eh i don’t care about the baby daddy or some random dude hitting on her. they only see each other 🧿
4- no third act break up. since they can’t be perfect, they had one moment of stupidness and instead of talking they spend one night alone. young love😋
5- shampoo chapter. you’ll know when you read🥹
6- and my special favorite; lactation and breeding kink😋 now now don’t judge me i know you all are secretly enjoying this🤰🏼🍼🤭

AND what made me lower that one star❓

1- last %5 of the book. what was all that unnecessary drama?

here some quotes for you to enjoy💋

💌 “You’ve become extremely tolerable lately.” I touched my lips to his. “Likable even.” Another kiss. “I’d even say sweet.”
He scoffed. “You were selling it, then you went too far.”

💌 “You weren’t at your desk.” He frowned down at me. “I wanted to have lunch with you.”
“Well, I had lunch with Davida and Raymond. You had breakfast with me.”
He brushed my hair aside to kiss along the side of my neck. “I wanted more. I was forced to eat alone at my desk.”

💌 Catherine was the light at the end of a tunnel. A fire on a cold day. Clothes fresh from the dryer. The winning shot in overtime. The first crack of fireworks on the Fourth of July. She made me nostalgic for something I’d never had. A gut-deep pull to be near her, touch her, take care of her, treasure her.

💌 This love I have for you is etched in my bones and has been growing since the moment I spotted you. If I thought you would agree, I would marry you today, tomorrow, next month. I have never loved anyone else, and knowing myself, I never will. You’re the only woman I want, and you can bank on that never changing. You are threaded through the tapestry of who I am. If you removed yourself now, I would be in tatters.

sending my special thanks to my dear friends RLbooks and Elizabeth for putting this on my radar🤗 i read it asap when i saw your glowing reviews🩷

such a sweet easy read!

i love how much the hero wanted to be there for our pregnant soon-to-be-moon heroine. he made such a good father figure and while he had kind of a commanding billionaire thing going on, i don’t think he overstepped our heroine’s boundaries.

i think this book lacked a little in the characterization department tho and the conflict was kind of weak. neither were deal breakers since i was fine with a breezy read. but i think this could have been 4 or 5 star material if either of the above issues had been worked on.

definitely interested in more from this author tho and was charmed by this :)

"If I choose to pour my life into something, I handle it with care."

Elliot Levy believes in order and control.
Anything aside from that doesn't matter.
That is until he finds out his assistant is pregnant.
And is due in just a couple of weeks.
Then Elliot has something that he can't control.
But he will be damned if he doesn't try.

"He barely noticed me as long as I got the job done."

Catherine Warner is expecting a baby girl.
After the baby's father left for Australia it's just her and her baby girl.
And her boss.
Her utterly intolerable boss.
He never noticed she was pregnant so why does it matter now?
And why does Catherine start to care?

"Maybe he wasn't as bad as I was making him out to be…"

I received an advanced reader's copy in exchange for an honest review.

"Everything was fine. My world definitely wasn't crumbling around me. If I kept thinking that, maybe it would be true."

Elliot Levy is a lot of things: protective big brother, loyal friend, ruthless businessman. But to his assistant, he is one thing and one thing only, completely intolerable. At least that's what she thinks.

"P.S. You're slightly more tolerable than usual."

Ever since "Dear Grumpy Boss" I have been legit CHOMPING AT THE BIT for Elliot's book. We all knew he was all about control and order and I was like "yes yes sign me up I wanna see this pleaseee" and it was everything I wanted and more. I was legit giggling, blushing, and kicking my feet throughout the whole book and I still am!!

"Christ, this woman. She was something else."

First we have Catherine Warner, our precious single mom with her intolerable boss. Liam is a dick just putting that out there, when you read the book trust me you will agree with me but OMFG what a douche. Anyway Catherine is a legit badass with her quips and sarcasm and her "P.S" notes!! (albiet she does not send them but still I stand by her!!). Her whole journey with Jo and Elliot was amazing to see and tears came out people. The obsession Elliot has is REALLL just saying…

"My little prim and pressed Catherine Warner was an undercover firecracker."

And Elliot Levy. Our very own intolerable boss. I am obsessed. Weston will always be number one in my own opinion but Elliot is up there I swear. The gestures, the care, and then that twist at the end!!! I am obsessed with this man and I will not apologize. I mean just the nanny interview scene had me extra giggly and blushy I swear!! Julia Wolf thank you very much for writing this man he was exactly what I needed. 🤭🤭

"He was seeing way more of me than I'd ever wanted to show him."

This playlist is fun flirty and romantic and that was all I could think about during this book I swear!! And I added the author's playlist as well but these are the songs that I thought fit as well 💗💗

Just adorable and sweet and wholesome. 🥹

I didn’t want to stop reading this once I started. I couldn’t stop. The characters plagued my mind.

Elliot and Catherine were so good together! 😭

I was hoping for a 5-star read but things got a little bit dramatic towards the end as well as a little cheesy for my taste.
I also wish we had more background details on these two since whatever was touched upon that caused their trauma, felt somewhat surface level.

But other than that, the humour, the romance, Joey, the side characters (the ones who worked with Catherine especially), the grumpy/sunshine dynamic and seeing a man like Elliot crumble ? Everything about this story was joy! 🥰

(Thanks to Jenn from TheBookRefuge for this amazing rec! 🩷)

4 P.S You're A Hardcore Cuddler Stars ⭐

There was so much to like about this single mom, office romance. It was quality contemporary romance with a sexy twist. My first read by this author and I was impressed and amused. I was not expecting a breast milk loving Elliot. 👀

“Tell me to let you go and I will. But I can keep holding you for as long as you need to feel okay.”

Elliot Levy is an intolerable billionaire boss. That pole is so far up his ass, it's not surprising he can't keep an assistant. That's until Catherine scores an interview to be remembered. Desperation and a hidden pregnancy will create the best assistant ever!

The office interactions between Elliot and Catherine were comical and priceless. And through it all Catherine maintains her professionalism, until the baby bump appears, and then the office dynamics completely change.

“Can I hug you?” I asked.
“If you feel like you have to.” He opened his arms wide. “Make it quick.”

It isn't until Elliot discovers that Catherine has been left destitute with a newborn that he becomes human. A compulsion to help sees Catherine and her daughter Joey moving in with Elliot. Then baby daddy mode is activated. What an unstoppable force!

P.S You're Intolerable was well thought out. There were these beautiful tender moments that made you forget what came before. And Elliot with Joey will make your ovaries pop. I guess my only gripe was that it was a little slow in parts and some of the scenes were drawn out. The highlight were the postscripts that explain the title. 🩷

twenty forehead kisses for you julia wolf!!!!!

20/10. no complaints. no notes. perfection.

this is surprise pregnancy but he's not the father. catherine's boss is notoriously grumpy and demanding... and apparently unobservant because he doesn't realize she's pregnant until his friend's point it out to him. when he does realize she's pregnant, he goes from grumpy boss to still grumpy but doing the cutest things for her. and once her daughter is born, he just slowly starts falling for both of them and doing any and everything he can to take care of them.

this was really, truly everything. it had all of the banter and tension of grumpy/sunshine and workplace enemies, amazing spice and chemistry between catherine and elliott, and the absolute sweetest little love story of them as a family.

4.5 stars rounded down

I picked this up because I had FOMO seeing so many friends read and love this. I've tried this author's books before and had a hard time connecting with characters, but thankfully not an issue with this one. This was such an adorable and heart-melting single mom romance with a side of boss/employee goodness.

Elliot (H) is a big ole grumpy, super-efficient workaholic to start, but there's a slow melt that occurs. He's intrigued by Catherine/Kit (h) from his first encounter with her (which she learns more about later in the book) and he hires her to be his assistant, a mostly thankless job due to that grumpy exterior. He sees through her poised exterior though and is sure more is happening under the surface, so when she started showing him her feistiness and more of her true self, he ate it up. I loved Catherine's personality, she was so likable and relatable. Her PS notes at the bottom of his daily schedules were hilarious and I couldn't wait for the reveal of those to him. Catherine is pregnant by a friend thanks to a ONS, however that friend is a complete let-down who leaves her in a predicament. Elliot truly begins to thaw when he realizes exactly what Catherine is facing following the birth of her daughter, Joey, and he steps in to help. How he couches his offers of assistance as selfishly making his life easier made me melt but also chuckle. These three end up in a roommate situation and Catherine sees the softer side to her boss, which only really comes out for her and Joey since he would do anything for his girls. Written in first person, dual POV. No ow drama, small bits of om drama from h's baby's daddy and a guy who hits on her, and neither are virgins (H said it had been a long time and h wasn't with anyone after conception).

There are so many ovary-bursting, tiny baby in large man's hands scenes. Lots of moments of Elliot supporting Catherine and doing whatever it takes to make her comfortable and happy. Her friends describe him perfectly later in the book when they call him a simp for her. Catherine is a sweetheart and she doesn't fight help (thank goodness). For those who enjoy slice of life in their romance, a good portion of the book is just Elliot, Catherine, and Joey falling into routines and living. The transition to lovers though was a bit sudden for me (not in timing but rather how they didn’t discuss it first). I think I just had a couple of contemporaries close together where the romance was so easy but communication regarding where they were going wasn't as detailed early on that this niggled at my brain a bit. I did appreciate that Elliot is careful to ensure that Catherine doesn't feel the imbalance between them. Steam-wise, this is packed with spice and there is some lactation kink, as well as breeding talk (though it's not serious in terms of getting her knocked up again right away).

Both Elliot and Catherine have lovely friends who are invested in them. Catherine's baby daddies (two coworkers) were hilarious and loving but also gave her some doses of realism. Elliot's friend group and sister were also funny and even when his friends were unnecessarily negative, they were coming from a place of concern and love. I haven't read their romances, but the next MMC in this series was wonderful in this book and injected some amazing golden retriever energy into all of his scenes.

I did not love the couple of small conflicts that popped up. I also really wanted to see Catherine's resolution with her family on page vs. being told after the fact. Elliot sometimes came across too stilted for me. I know it was because of how his mind worked, but I think some of the time it was also because the writing read a little awkwardly in place for me. But this is a book of a single mom fantasy, as several friends have described, and it was a great read for that. The romance is sweet and supportive. The little family moments are adorable and will fill your heart with warmth. The epilogue was the icing on top of the cake, with a time jump a couple years into the future showing their little family just as happy and in love and growing. I do recommend this read for the single mom romance readers esp.

Reread for 2023 faves.
.
.

I am a goner for Elliot Levy. I am deceased. Here lies my besotted corpse.

I am always excited when I get a new book from Julia Wolf, but in this case, I got it on Thanksgiving weekend and I was horribly distracted until I finished it. I was sucked right into this couple and my heart was HOOKED on their romance. I couldn't do anything else until I knew what happened. Catherine and Elliot were everything I wanted and more.

This was book 3 in the Harder They Fall but you can read it as a standalone if you want to. I think after you do, you'll be interested in the other two couples as well. I liked both of the previous books as well.

This book has:
Boss/Assistant
Pregnant Single Mom
Billionaire Hero
Grumpy Sunshine
Curvy FMC
Forced Proximity

I was excited enough by these tropes but then I saw a quote that the author posted and I KNEW this was gonna be a winner.

"Elliot was good at everything I'd seen him do, and now I could add 'holding my newborn daughter' to that list."

Hello... sign me up. I love a grumpy man turning to mush over a baby. We get that in spades in this romance. This book was the deepest desire of a lonely single mother and it came from such an unexpected place in Elliot. Catherine thinks her boss can barely stand her and he drives her crazy but the way he steps in and becomes everything she and her daughter needs... it was so beautiful.

Elliot is very controlled and is almost OCD about how his day needs to go and what he expects from his assistants. Catherine is everything he needs in an employee and when she goes on maternity leave he can barely stand to wait for her return. He can tell himself it's just because she keeps his day on track, but we all know it's more than that. So when he stops by to see when she's coming back to work and sees her precarious living situation... well.. he can't abide by it.

Catherine may not realize where his generosity is coming from but she can't deny her daughter the help he offers. The deeper she gets with him and the more she sees his soft and caring side, she knows she's in trouble. How can things ever go back to being professional?

I was so addicted to these two and watching their love story unfold. It was a slow burn and watching the heat rise and awaken feelings was just.. everything! Elliot was a KING. He stepped up where he never had to and took care of his girls. I choked up multiple times watching him be a dad to Joey.

There was low angst, high swoons and so much heart in this romance. I can't overstate how lovely I found this to be.

I had the best time reading this story and I can't wait to read it again. It is absolutely a favorite of the year.

It's so cute and wholesome. I love how this book has many thoughtful scenes. It's unlike anything I've read since last year, and it's my first book with the girl being pregnant (not with the MMC). I might give the pregnancy trope more chances now. The assistant x boss dynamic was done perfectly at the start, with no attraction between them, and from the POVs, everything was platonic. Everything built slowly and gradually, and then they started having the cutest scenes!

❝Are you stealing my baby, Elliot?❞ I swayed with her the way she liked, palming the back of her head. ❝I really don’t like it when she cries.❞

Catherine & Elliot are really great characters. I love how blunt and honest she is, and Elliot is a grumpy boss with an 'I do it because I want to' personality, but he's the most thoughtful person ever 🥺 Baby Joeyyy's interactions with him were legitimately super cute, and the way he was ready to give her everything! I was all for him changing the chairs, building a nursery room for her in his office, giving her gift cards, and sending emails to check up on her! He even took her and Joey to his house so that they could live comfortably, as her house is in bad condition, and he genuinely took such nice care of them! Full-on princess treatment after 30% ✋🏻✋🏻💕💕

3 stars because there are way too many scenes of breastfeeding and MILK talks and all 😭 LIKE TOO MUCH. It started out normal until he started to get more turned on, and it was also included in the smut like whaa- 🤦🏻‍♀️ I seriously didn't need to know that.

I enjoyed the other scenes, and besides, I like the characters. It started amazingly, but it's definitely long! 😂

What a delight. Elliot is a fantasy and I loved him.

This has the best of a single mom with a guy who absolutely adores her and her daughter. There were several times in this book where tears were practically falling out of my face because I was so touched by how sweet he was and by the hurts she/he had that I totally felt.

This has the cutest scenes between the hero and the heroine's daughter. Ugh, they were so adorable.

I will admit this is straight up fantasy with some absolutely ridiculous situations that I was THERE FOR... including him moving his assistant and her baby in with him because he needed them to be safe and well. So many labor violations in this book, including him saying he wouldn't hire a single woman. Yikes. But, I just lapped up the fantasy of this dude changing his ways to treat her and her baby WELL. I mean, he just took care of them and loved on them and never looked back.

And, unlike a lot of billionaire romances, the heroine accepts his money. And expensive gifts. Maybe because she came from money? Who knows. I just enjoyed that she didn't insist that she was going to "make it on her own" even though he has more money than he could spend in a million lifetimes. She accepted all sorts of stuff from him and it was great.

Safety deets
- She was with a friend for one night and that resulted in a pregnancy. There's a little jealousy but she doesn't date/sleep with anyone else after the book starts.
- The hero hasn't been with anyone else for years and years and we hear very little about his sexual history.
- NO THIRD ACT BREAKUP... tho there is some third act sadness... but they both quickly get over being stupid and become vulnerable to each other.
- No use of condoms; however, they do talk about diseases and birth control.
- He's awesome and recognizes the power differential and gives her enough assets that she can choose to be with him or not.
- Some lactation kink here.
- He loves her body and I love how it was described. Not "perfect" and definitely no thigh gap here!
- I loved how they shared their childhood wounds and supported each other. He gets some time to cry too and it's beautiful.

Work place, grumpy boss (who is a secret sweetheart), and single mom romance that will just melt your heart. Elliot is closed off and very serious about his job but when he meets his new secretary, he can’t resist helping her in any way he can after she’s left on her own to raise her daughter. The tension, with wit, the chemistry, the connection, everything. I loved it all.

Elliot Levy has set the bar. He is now up there with Ryan Shay from The Right Move, and Slade from the Plated Prisoner Series for best book boyfriends. He would do anything for the FMC and he wasn’t afraid to put his money where his mouth was. From all the small gestures to the bigger ones, there was no doubt how much he cared for Kit. I really commend Julia Wolf’s ability to always make the relationship feel so organic and electric. The built up, the chemistry, the way they support and respect each other, ugh chef’s kiss, and this couple was no different.

I loved reading about their connection gradually developing. It happened so naturally, I really got to appreciate every step forward they had together. Kit has been hurt in the past so to see her slowly accept Elliot and grow to care for him was nice. Don’t get me started on the hug thing, that had me kicking my feet, squealing every time. I’m also a sucker for a man who takes in the FMC’s daughter as his own and boy did this man deliver. Every single interaction any of these three had with each other was so precious.

There were some bumps in their road but they always handled each conflict really well. The only thing is I wish Kit’s relationship with her parents was expanded on a bit more. There was more to be explored there but it was an afterthought to the romance. Other than that, I LOVED this one. Every book from this author is a hit for me but this might just be in my top three from her.

I loooove Elliot! I knew he'd be the best among them, and he exceeded my expectations so much more. This guy was the epitome of a green flag; I mean, setting aside the grumpiness at the beginning, he was the perfect partner and father figure all throughout the rest of the book.

The love and dedication he has for Catherine and Joey was so adorable and had me swooning every damn time. I mean, he's way too good—way too perfect with them, if I'm being honest. It was really great how he took charge when he realised he couldn't handle their living situation. Albeit, maybe a little part of that was because of his attraction to Catherine, but the way he took on the role of helping them out was more than enough for me to put him on a pedestal. It was very heartwarming to see how he was always there for his girls and how much he cared about them. He's the perfect boyfriend to Kit and daddy to Joey. These two were lucky to have Elliot, and he's lucky to have them in his life as well.

Catherine was an admirable FMC too. Even though she hadn't planned on getting pregnant, I honestly feel that she's an amazing mother. She stepped up and became the best mom to her daughter. I also liked her character; she's feisty and sweet at the same time. The way she was with Elliot had me grinning so much. These two are sickeningly sweet, and I'm still for all of it.

As for the plot, there are scenes that fell flat, but the overall story was engaging enough to make up for some dragging parts. I'm 50-50 with the two annoying villain wannabes. I liked their purpose but was also annoyed at why they even existed. 😂

Also, I would've wanted to see Catherine dealing with her parents. I didn't like how it was skimmed over and moved off-page when she finally began to reconnect with them.

I loved Elliot and Catherine; they were respectful, open, and honest with each other. But the part where they held back, which led to their overnight separation, came out of nowhere. I partially anticipated that it would've been an issue, but I'm relying on their openness to talk about their concerns. But then again, people carry their insecurities differently, so I really had no right to tell them how to deal with them. I'm just glad it didn't drag on for them, and they only needed a night to realize it was a mistake to be apart.

Overall, this was fun, and Elliot is the freaking man. It ended with HFN and an epilogue spanning 2 years later.

Elliot surprised me but not in the way I expected, I already knew he was a great guy with the way he cared about his younger sister and people closest to him, but I was surprised by how vulnerable he was because of his past and how it made him into the controlling guy we know.

Kit ends up pregnant after a one-night stand with her friend who she has travelled with and known for years. And with the lack of funds and a house she assumed she could flip she is left with the option on getting a job and she gets one working as Elliot's assistant, who btw he fires way more than he should lol.

They meet when she accidentally runs into him and spills coffee all over herself right before her interview.

Elliot is seen of aloof towards her and rude. He never looks at her and is pretty firm in his ways.

I think despite his grumpy exterior there is a softness within him he is afraid to let out because it's not something he can control. Controlling his emotions and environments makes him sane.

Kit's friend Liam is Australian and goes home for a few weeks but when it's time to come home he never does and tells her he got a job at his dad’s company and will be staying. He also stole money from her, and this causes the workers in her home to clean out and remove everything installed so she is left in a shit unsafe house with only a few weeks to go before the baby is born.

Elliot never knew she was pregnant (because he doesn't truly look at her or pay attention, but this is explained why later). So, when he is told about it he goes out of his way to get her gifts and make her more comfortable.

It's pretty sweet of him to be this way and it shows how deep inside despite his lack of attention he cares.

Kit has the baby and Elliot only finds out when she is not at work, during her maternity leave he spends almost every day texting her work-related questions but it's just a way to keep contact. One day he needs to go pick up documents she has, and he sees her home, and this prompts him to take her to his place and keep her there with the baby Joey.

QUEUE THE AWWWWWWWWW

He spends every moment he can falling in love with Joey and finally being able to let himself feel everything for Kit. Their natural progression was so beautiful, it was effortless, and I honestly adored how he was with them both. Kit was a strong woman, but she knew help was needed and was not afraid to accept/take it when given.

There was no childish behavior around them, and it was nice to see them TALK and get things out of the way that way.

Liam turned out to be the son of a millionaire and never gave Kit his full name, he basically lied, and Elliot forces him to pay back the money he owed and eventually later on relinquish his rights as the father so Elliot can adopt Joey.

I loved Elliot. I know I mentioned it a lot in this review, but he was brilliant. He was not a manwhore, he did not view sex as NEED like Luca/Weston did. He had not been with anyone for quite a while, and I think it is hinted that it was because of Kit but it was also before she showed up.

The gestures, the way he treats her, defends her, loves her daughter were all swoon worthy behavior.

OH, we also find out he hired her as his assistant even though that is not what her interview was for lol he just wanted her after their initial encounter that first day which was NOT when she spilled coffee but at the coffee place when he held the door open for her (she was too caught up to notice him) but he noticed her.

The side plot about the disgruntled people Elliot has in the business world caused no actual issues for the couple but Miles did get shot in the ASS right before the guy wanted to kill Elliot.
Let’s also not forget the fact Kit’s parents were horrible and abandoned their daughter for years and acted like it was her fault.

Another note: the postscript stuff was gold lol

FIRST OF ALL: (thank you for an ARC of this. 😭😭😭😭) ALSO: single mother books are superior to single father and i will die on that hill.

i haven’t kicked my feet in glee while reading in so long and everything this man did had me on my knees 🧎🏻‍♀️🧎🏻‍♀️🧎🏻‍♀️

Cathrine aka Kit was also so amazing. i love that she wrote her true feelings on Elliot’s “approved” notebook and when she was on maternity leave he was losing his mind because the temp’s paper was a different size than the one Catherine used 😂😂😂 that man was out of his mind for her and i was HERE for it!

this is FOR SURE my favorite in the series. the other two H’s were whores before their women and it is mentioned in this book how they sowed and sowed…..and sowed their wild oats before they settled down and ewwww i don’t need that reminder especially when one of them is dating this H’s sister 😂 but it was only one paragraph and it was mentioned that Elliot loved to fuck, but he never saw the appeal of spreading his seed and picking up women in bars didn’t appeal to him anymore and he’s been busy lately so in my head i was like OKAY im taking that as he’s been celibate since he first saw Catherine…..and i think im right! the first time they are together he says he hasn’t been with anyone in a long time and you get to know just how obsessed he is with her later on so i’m saying he was celibate after meeting her 😂😂😂😂 especially because there is ZERO ow! one hits on him and he shuts her down so fast it was glorious.

obvs catherine is pregnant at the start of the book and the om kind of causes some problems but elliot handles it flawlessly and there were no feelings involved with catherine and the om.

i think my favorite thing about elliot is that yes he helped catherine a lot, but he was always in her corner. he let her make the choices and always reassured her that he was there for her when she needed support and FUCK it was amazing. he was always doing these things for her under the guise of being selfish but he was a gonerrrrrrrrrrrrr. he would go to bat for his girls against literally ANYONE, including his own friends. he loved them something fierce.

THE WAY HE WAS WITH JOSEPHINE HAD ME SOBBING. i damn near highlighted the entire book of him just being fucking cute.

my only grievance with this is i wish there was more closer with Catherine’s parents. we don’t get to see their conversation and i really wanted that closer 🫣 but other than that i gobbled this shit up and loved every second.

P.S. ELLIOT FUCKING LEVY IS EVERYTHINGGGGGGGGGG

"I will love you with every single breath in this life, and when I go back to the earth with you, I will love you in every flower that blooms, every seed that brings fruit, each gust of wind, drop of rain, and snowflake that falls.”
(if a man said this to me, i would simply disintegrate)

↪ plot:

When Catherine starts working for Elliot while she's already some weeks pregnant, the only thing she's looking for is a steady salary to make her house more liveable and help her partner with the renovations of it, but once he leaves her with almost nothing in her name and a newborn baby in her arms, she doesn't know what to do anymore. Enter Elliot, her boss, who can't help but give her a place to live with him until she gets her life in order again, but this forced proximity will start complicatimg everything once feelings start developing.

↪ thoughts:

I need a man that's as gone for me as Elliot is for Catherine. But, honestly, she's so in love with him too that they balance each other out. And baby girl Joey is the cutest baby ever and getting all their and my attention.
"They were my family. Those were my girls."
Once he starts taking care of her and Joey and acknowledging his feelings, and once she starts accepting the help she needs and deserves for both her and her baby, they form this intensely sweet relationship that you just want more of. The way he calls them "my girls", how protective he is of them, how he's constantly making sure Catherine's gets all the rest and support she needs, and how he shows her in words and actions how much she means to him; and the way she calms and reassures him whenever he needs it, how she makes him see the amazing person he is, and how she knows Elliot's way more of a father to Joey than her biological one.
“You’re staring.” “You’re beautiful.”
I swooned over, highlighted and annotated so many of their moments together, and I felt so happy for them getting the love and attention they deserve that I finished this book with a big smile on my face.

I’m glad that this love story of a Assistant and her boss is VERY SAFE FROM the beginning… Especially safe from the hero side cause hero side usually where the problem comes from😓😆 Sometimes the boss and a assistant love story start when the boss see the assistant is different from the woman he’s been with, i read those in the past and it made me be careful on that type of romance 😅 BUT THIS ONE IS FAR MORE BETTER… OH AND i haven’t been reading from this author for a year now cause some other things. But when i read from other reviews about this book being really romantic and so safe, I went for it ❤️❤️

I love this love story. It’s A SLOW BURN ONE but the slow burn is not boring though, it’s definitely interesting… But not boring at all guys. I guaranteed you.

THE STORY STARTS with the heroine is getting ready to go to her interview in a new job. She got the job as a assistant in a Website Company called Levy Development. And her boss AKA the hero himself accepted her as his new assistant… After the interview she went home and we learned that she is pregnant at nine weeks with her partner name Liam who is australian. They were living together at the time the story begins. they used to work together and became close friends and she’s pregnant now. At the beginning they’re story is not romantic though, it was actually strange… Like he only appears as her partner one time with her and he only massage her feet when he came home. Only that, NOTHING MORE. There’s no kissing and even hugging or anything more. And the heroine doesn’t even talked about the partner like romantically… The heroine got the job as a assistant. FAST FORWARD TO FIVE MONTHS LATER 💨 the heroine is heavily pregnant and start to show more of her pregnant belly… The hero and heroine still working together and even travelled together around the world, well like 5 countries in different continents… And after five months later, her and the partner liam is over. He already goes to Australia and never went back to her. When the hero’s best friend came to the office, he noticed that the heroine is pregnant and told the hero about it. The hero didn’t know about it which is weird but okay tho. And he didn’t fired her, he just wants to make sure she’s well and good… And after this five months later scene, is the moment when both of them especially the hero is starting to really pursue the heroine… And we also see that there’s a reason why the hero didn’t want to pursue the heroine in the beginning… And i really am so in love with the baby girl the heroine’s daughter she’s so cute 🥺🥺❤️❤️

“Never…
No one…
Only her.”

‼️‼️‼️TRIGGER: Drugs, PTSD, Panic Attack, Gun shoot scene, little violence and death…

‼️‼️‼️SAFE ROMANTIC HOT SLOW BURN LOVE STORY…

‼️‼️‼️NO CHEATING.

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS OVEERR THE TOP POSSESSIVE PROTECTIVE BILLIONAIRE ALPHA MALE. Yes you read that right, over the top. BEST PART: The hero is not a manwhor3. Even his own friends didn’t say or talked about him being like that… DURING HIS TIME with the heroine and even before they have a relationship, THE HERO NEVER EVER BRINGS ANYONE. The hero didn’t go to strip club or any of that! The hero only go out with his close friends which is male friends and his sister together. Other than that? NOPE. He said he have a past and not a saint, but doesn’t like that very much especially the heroine is the one he can’t stop thinking about even before they’re in a relationship. SO IT WAS SO SWEET!!!! The hero have a past life with his family that is tragic but he never brings that to the heroine though. The hero’s personality is one of a kind though which i love. Not annoying and not childish ❤️ THIS HERO IS A ADULT WISE MAN AND FALL SOOO HARD FOR THE HEROINE!!!!

‼️‼️‼️NO UNNECESSARY CHILDISH DRAMA… There was actually less drama tho…

‼️‼️‼️THE HEROINE is a single mom and she have great tattoos around her (not a lot tho) but that so cool to see that! And the hero loves it. The heroine’s personality is very sweet, friendly and good person. THE HEROINE IS NOT A DOORMAT which is amazing!!! THE HEROINE IS DEFINITELY SASSY but not too much tho…

‼️‼️‼️NO PUSHING AWAY FROM BOTH…

‼️‼️‼️NO DRAMA WITH OW. ONLY WITH OM but only two times and never more… the drama is more about the company’s enemies, family drama and little drama about themselves 😆

‼️‼️‼️NOOOO SEPARATION.

‼️‼️‼️NO EX GIRLFRIEND OR FVCK BUDDY EVER SHOWS UP FROM THE HERO SIDE. The heroine side there was a partner (but not serious) showed up one time with her when they’re still together, the second time is when the partner is already in australia so they contact each other about it but not too much tho. The baby daddy is a douch* so he didn’t always contact the heroine and neither is the heroine to him… But the hero did meet up with baby daddy all away to australia to make sure he will never contact the heroine like he wants to, he have to fight and work for it cause the heroine is with the hero now 🥺🥺❤️

One time a guy whose a friend of a work with the hero, one time he saw the heroine and asked her out but the hero saw that and immediately he tells the heroine don’t go. And this is before they were serious 😆

NOOO BULLYING in the office. Even when the relationship between them goes public, no one ever have negative say or negative stare for them or for the heroine. Which is a good thing tho 🙏🏼

‼️‼️‼️THE CHEMISTRY between them is very romantic and another level 🥺❤️ You can feel it…

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS SOOOO OBSESSED AND WANTS THE HEROINE SOO BADLY… I love how he is very thoughtful, caring, loving, and selfless for the heroine only. He never ever love and wants a woman like her before, so it’s only her ❤️ Let me tell you, he’s loyalty to the heroine is another level. Even before the hero and heroine dated, the heroine offer the hero a new assistant to cover her when she give birth… the hero immediately told the heroine no woman assistant, only her, cause he doesn’t want a female assistant. he only wants a male assistant one… I NEVER SEEN A HERO CRIED AND EVEN ON HIS KNEES FOR THE HEROINE CAUSE HE WAS SCARED TO LOSE HER 🥺🥺❤️❤️ Not only he cried once but twice guys. Only for the heroine… Like oh my. He will do anything to be with the heroine and for the heroine and the daughter 🥺❤️ He immediately so in love with the daughter without a doubt. He took her as his own and claimed them as his girls!!! When they start they’re relationship, the hero immediately wants to hold hands with the heroine in the office and not caring what the other staff would say. When they became very close and start to build a relationship, every single time the heroine goes to the hero’s office, he only wants her TO SIT ON HIS LAP EVEN WHEN SHE IS READING SOMETHING. Even before they dated or became very close, the hero have the heroine her own room in the office so she can do her thing with the baby or for the baby like pumping her milk. He doesn’t want anyone to see that 😆 SO MANY TIMES THE HEROINE AND HERO HAVE CUDDLING SESSION 🥺 They cuddle so much and always do that no matter what even before they got close. Which is soooo romantic to see 🥺 AND THE HERO WANTS TO DO THAT FIRST AND ALWAYS WANTS TO DO THAT ❤️ I like it when the hero is the one who likes the physical touch so much for the heroine 🥺 He likes to spoiled her so much, spoiled her with love and material things which is so sweet of him… Even when the heroine is being insecure and have overthinking thoughts which doesn’t happen all the time fyi, THE HERO ALWAYS MAKE SURE IMMEDIATELY TO THE HEROINE THAT SHE IS EVERYTHING TO HIM. She is loved and amazing for him and he always will be there for her… He always accept her no matter what, always understanding and never got annoyed with her grumpy and mood swings. He said i love you first to the heroine and the one who ask to cuddle with him. First! Woww 🥺 HE IS THE BEST 🥺❤️❤️❤️ I love it when the hero FALL SO HARD FOR THE HEROINE AND ALWAYS SO PROUD TO SAY HE IS LUCKY TO HAVE HER ❤️❤️❤️

“Catherine had stunned me from the first time I saw her, but for a long time, I hadn’t allowed myself to look at her. It was the only way I’d been able to work with her every day. Blocking out the vast majority of her exterior was how I’d manager to keep her for so long.”

“I’d never had this. The attraction I felt for her was next level, but it wasn’t just that. I could have resisted something solely physical. Catherine was the light at the end of a tunnel. A fire on a cold day. Clothes fresh from the dryer. The winning shot in overtime. The first crack of fireworks on the Fourth of July. She made me nostalgic for something I’d never had. A gut-deep pull to be near her, touch her, take care of her, treasure her.”

“This isn’t a manipulation tactic. There are no strings. I’m giving you something free and clear. This contract doesn’t tie you to me. You aren’t indebted to me. I hold no power over you, and you’ll be with me solely because you don’t want to be with anyone but me.”

“Lowering herself to the bench, her knees on the outside of my hips, she held my face in her hands. I should have been mortified by the tears I’d let loose, but she pressed her lips to each one, never asking where they’d come from or why they were there.” (He cried on his knees for her cause he thought he was going to lose her and her daughter) 🥺🥺❤️

“Catherine smoothed her hands over her sunny yellow top and flicked her eyes to mine. Even unsure, she was stunning, taking my breath right out of my lungs in her ripped jeans that hugged her ass and a flowy top that showed a lot of tattoos and a peek of cleavage. She’d left her hair down at my request, and it was all I could do not to shove my fingers in it and gather it in my fists. While I was drinking in every beautiful inch of her, she was worrying her lip and working herself into an anxious dither.”

“Mmm. I didn’t look at you for a long time, but I’ve always been aware of how strikingly beautiful you are. It was so fucking maddening.”

“Yeah. Don’t you get it, sweetheart? You’re sexy in any form.”

‼️‼️‼️NO TALKING ABOUT THE PAST PARTNER FROM THE HERO. Only from the heroine… But only once and never more.

‼️‼️‼️NO STRIP CLUB OR S3X CLUB.

‼️‼️‼️IT HAS PUSHING AWAY from both but only once and never again…

‼️‼️‼️NO MEAN FRIENDS.

(I want to add this too cause i think this is also important lol. At least that’s what i think)

‼️‼️‼️VERY VERY HOT SMUT SCENES 🔥🔥🔥

Both are clean and haven’t been with someone for so long they said. Especially the hero’s friends always telling him how celibate he is… Which is a good thing.

Oh my the breast milk scene with the hero and he also became addicted to it is sooo hot to see 😆😆😋😋😋 Office scenes as well OH MY….

“Do you know how many times I’ve thought about what it would be like to do exactly what we just did? Every time you sat across from me, unflappable and perfect, I imagined you mussed up and wild.”

“She drew my mouth to hers, and I let the milk on my tongue drip onto hers. She moaned against my lips, our tongues tangling in a messy, desperate kiss. Her nails dug into my nape and down my back, the sharp pain along my spine adding another layer to the pleasure.I drew back to meet her wild eyes. “I’m going to need to fuck you every day. Need to suck your nipples and eat this pussy whenever I want it. Make you come until you pass out then start all over again. Tell me okay. Tell me you want that too.”

‼️‼️‼️MANY JEALOUS SCENES FROM THE HERO and little from the heroine…

The selfish thought of me is happy that NO ONE WOMAN EVER CAME TO THE HERO and flirt with him, Only the heroine one time have a guy come up and flirt with her and the hero saw all that 🤣😆

“Now, are you absolutely sure you want to be friends with Miles Aldrich? Because—”

“Her blush deepened, and it was all I could do not to knock his hand off hers. Flirty bastard.”

“Have I mentioned I love your girl, Elliot?”
Elliot whirled around to scowl at him. “No. And you’ll continue not to mention that.”

“I did have his lease canceled because he flirted with you. He now has no excuse to be near you ever again.”

“But I think I should say you can’t ruin every man who looks at me.”His brows dropped like an anvil, and he took my face in both hands. “I can, sweetheart. Never doubt that.”

🥺❤️❤️

‼️‼️‼️NO VIRGINS.

‼️‼️‼️The hero always says to the heroine and to anyone and to himself: YOU ARE MINE. Mine. Mine. Mine 🥺❤️

‼️‼️‼️The hero is 31 years old and the heroine is younger than him but only for few years… Not too young lol.

‼️‼️‼️HAPPY ENDING. Have one more baby and married ❤️

‼️‼️‼️HAPPY HOLIDAY YOU BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE! I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST!

‼️‼️‼️New disclaimer is going to happen soon 🔥😋😋 thank you so much for reading my review and for your support and love to me 🤗❤️❤️

I wouldn't say sparks were flying off the page, but it had some good parts. Simultaneously, I think it unlocked a lot of pet peeves I didn't know I had, but we will get to that 😅

This is a boss/assistant trope with a single parent, and there is an accidental pregnancy, but she gets accidentally pregnant before the book starts.

I liked how the relationship progressed between the two characters and how much they supported each other. I also think her child added to their relationship and brought out a lot of positive traits in the MMC that you otherwise wouldn't have seen.

It was nice that the storyline tied into the title. That was a sweet addition and kind of reminded me of ‘a million kisses in your lifetime’.

There were positives.
Now the negatives, which I felt outweighed them.

I didn't see the chemistry. I felt like they were very supportive friends, who suddenly kissed and should have thought ‘No let's not do this’. Their interactions after they got together were still very boss/assistant-esque. I didn't see a massive shift.

After they get into a relationship, she constantly agrees with his problematic behaviour. Like he cancels some guy's lease because he and the FMC were flirting. This was a mutual situation, but the MMC said it was sexual harassment and did it because he was jealous. She just agreed that it was for the best. It made no sense.

This may be a bad example, but she continuously says his name at the end of most sentences. One, it was annoying and two, it just reminded me of employees that say ‘sir’ at the end of a sentence. It didn't read as natural.

Another example is right after an intimate scene.
He looks at her and says ‘You’re lovely’
She grinned back ‘Thank you. You’re lovely too’

It just read as awkward and kind of formal.
I may be reading into this too much.
————————
At first glance, I did think it was a new stand-alone by Eliah Greenwood. Mostly because of the title and young-ish model, but it isn't, so ignore this point.

Probably unsurprisingly I did dnf at 78%. I just didn't love the love story.

Also, I think she missed an opportunity to have a cute post-it/ torn piece of paper on the cover. Instead of the man who is most definitely not the thirty-year-old MMC in the book. His ID may say he's thirty, but... Yeah. I may be the only weirdo who paid it this much attention.

I was reading something else, then I had a peek at the first chapter and didn’t want to stop reading.

It was so adorable, the poor excuse of tiny misscommunication was perfect for my drama hater soul.
And again, baby with grumpy ass H melted my dead insides 😍

This story started out great. The dislike between Catherine and Elliott was present but not over the top. Also how he slowly started to insert himself in Catherine and her daughter’s life was sweet.
But sadly that’s all that happened in P.S. You’re Intolerable. Elliott providing for Catherine.

It’s a slow burn but sadly the chemistry between them wasn’t present. I felt it was a boss and employee who slowly became very good friends thanks to him helping her with her housing situation and her daughter. So when it evolved to them being romantically involved I wasn’t invested or interested.

I haven’t read the previous books but this can easily be read as a standalone.
Weston and Luca were great so maybe I’ll check their books out.

aghhhhhhh, i haven't read the other books on the series but after this i feel incredibly tempted. elliot and catherine's story was so cute, and don't even get me started on joey BECAUSE I LOVED HER AND THEIR LITTLE FAMILY

for me, sometimes secretary romances just feel rushed, but this???? you could feel their chemistry and their growing changing feelings, i loved their character development

You are threaded through the tapestry of who I am.
ok elliot, we get it, you're perfect

The best single mom book I’ve read in a while!
Their relationship was so cute and sweet. I literally devoured this book in one night with no breaks because I couldn’t put it down. I knew I’d love it though because Julia Wolf has been on a roll with amazing books that seem to find themselves on my favorites shelf!
I loved their relationship so much and how they cared for and loved each other so much! I don’t think I’ve ever read a book where the heroine is the one reassuring and complimenting the hero (and of course he does the same for her, but it’s usually one sided in most books) all the time. He loved when she complimented him and I thought that was so sweet🥹 and of course I can’t forget how amazing Elliott was with the baby 🫶 single mom trope is an all time favorite of mine and this was was such a good one!!
I also love that Catherine realized when she needed help and readily accepted it from Elliott. She was such a good mom, and I loved that she wasn’t stubborn about stuff that she really didn’t need to be stubborn about just for the sake of putting up a fight
Anyway, I could keep going on but I’ll stop here and just say to give this book a try especially if you love single mom books!!!!

single mom>>> single dad
“We do cook sometimes, but we have a baby. It’s easier to do takeout most nights.” West cleared his throat. “You said ‘we’ have a baby.” I nodded, glancing at each of my stunned friends. “I did. She’s mine now.”

Consíguete un hombre que llore solo de pensar en un escenario donde ustedes nunca se hubieran hecho pareja. Julia Wolf está en racha conmigo, 3 libros que he leído últimamente de ella y todos me han encantado.

Safe!!

4.5⭐

When I read about two mature, really mature characters something inside me blooms.

Elliott and Catherine were the perfect couple, the greenest flags ever!

The two knew how to communicate well, to solve problems in adults way, to build a real happy family together, to be a good parents. I really envy Joey; the girl gets a perfect hot daddy and a cool lovely mommy. Lucky her.

I can't talk about all the things that I loved because I'm gonna write down the whole book.

So lets just admiring their exploding chemistry and the sweet physical touch.. I'm a goner for two clingy partners. And don't forget the Lactation kink cuz yeah I saw many hate toward it in the reviews but man! It's so hot and kinky for me.

Elliott and what he did for Catherine all along the book, he loved her.. respected her.. treated her in they way she deserved, and knowing that he's a tiddy cuddling bear was just adorable. I would give my soul for a man like him. No more to say.

“Hi, sweetheart.”
“Hi, Elliot.”
“You’re a sight for sore eyes.”
