➳Kendall Ryan has a way to attract her readers by providing a thrilling synopsis, then adding a BAM to a wonderful story plot…
➳Let’s begin with the main characters shall we? ‘Cause they both sure as heck have become one of my favorite book couples! Cannon Roth (THAT NAME HOLY BA-JESUS! BEYOND SEXY!) is a med student, looking for a place to stay due to the fact that his former girlfriend had trashed his other place. With a history of being poor and making a future of himself as a doctor and helping his mother and older sister-Allie- out, he is the ultimate definition if being successful. On the other hand, we have the super professional and beyond clumsy Paige, who is best friends with Allie. Paige works at a professional company for Human Resources. She already has a career, a stable life with a place to stay and a routine that she goes to every night. Her dog, Enchilada is such an adorable and cute part that has been added to this story, instead of reading about a cat **rolls eyes**
➳Something ironically that did not bother me in this story is the age difference between Cannon and Paige. Her being older by four years is something that would have bothered me at first, but Kendall drops that when she writes about their strong chemistry. Not seeing each other for five years, Paige is found being surprised by the way Cannon looks due to the fact that he was a complete bookworm nerd with glasses and braces- the ultimate bookworm study nerd! (Don’t get me wrong, I totally dig those…) Yes, the age is something that can drag some down, but that is put aside when their level of compatibility is involved, and their persona’s are mentioned;
➳Their common relationship of being related by one’s siblings and one’s best friend is a cliche pattern found in many books, but the change in gender is something refreshing- bringing an empowering aspect to women. Cannon being the true romantic that he is, has always possessed that side since he was little, spying on Allie and Paige during their sleepovers and wanting nothing more than to touch Paige, and be one of those guys she always wanted. Once he finally gets what he wants, they are both unstoppable. The way Kendall describes their powerful chemistry is beautifully written. But let’s not forget that Cannon may be younger than Paige, but he is the pure demanding partner in their relationship- that side is beyond HOT;
➳What a romantic am I right? Never the less, Kendall Ryan has started not only a new series, but a trending story plot to come in the future in which I cannot wait for! Stay updated with the rest of the series coming later on this year;

If you're in the mood for something heartwarming and fun, 'The Room Mate' is a fantastic choice. It was just the kind of light-hearted, sweet story that I needed to balance out all of the darker stories that I usually gravitate toward. It was a sentimental, feel-good romance that was highly enjoyable.
I have to admit that I was a little skeptical after reading the blurb. The idea of Cannon being some sex-god that women became obsessed with after getting a taste of what he could do between the sheets was a little far-fetched for me. My response was something along the lines of "Oh, please!"
That being said, I'm glad that I didn't let that initial impression scare me away. This ended up being a great book. I found myself laughing at the sexually-charged banter between Cannon and Paige. It was just such a fun read.
The story begins with Cannon being evicted from his apartment after an incident with his crazy ex-girlfriend. A busy medical student, he doesn't have the time to find another apartment. Since he'll likely be moving in two short months to begin a residency, he can't commit to a new lease either.
Paige is the best friend of Cannon's sister. When she is contacted by her best friend, who asks her to let Cannon stay with her for awhile, Paige reluctantly agrees. She has known Cannon since they were children and is willing to sacrifice a couple of months of comfort to help out her bestie.
Only, Cannon is no longer the nerdy boy that Paige remembers from her childhood. He has grown into a sexy, successful man that she can't keep her eyes off of. The sexual chemistry between the two is off the charts right from the start. A few chance encounters only serve to heighten the sexual tension between the two.
It doesn't take long for their curiosity and lust to win out. It was bound to happen and it did. If they thought that their attraction was something that would wane once they got a taste, they were wrong.
Despite their intense chemistry and the "rightness" of them together, there is plenty of reasons whey these two should not be together. Paige's friendship with Cannon's sister is a huge deterrent. Cannon's career is another. The two decide to keep their relationship casual and hidden.
When a series of tragic events unfold, their relationship is put to the test. Emotions run high and the poor decisions pile up. In no time at all, whatever they had been building seems to have disintegrated.
This book is a standalone that is part of the 'Roommates' series. All in all, I thought that this was a fantastic read. It was fun and light-hearted. This is one to save for a day when you need a unicorns and rainbows kind of story. Ms. Ryan delivers the emotional connection and angst that you need, as well as a HEA that will leave you feeling satisfied.

Having selected my path, I should have felt lighter and at ease after all these long months of uncertainty. Instead, the reality of my situation was hitting hard. I had fallen for someone I couldn’t have, and now I was doing the only thing I could – flee.
I’ve read plenty of books written by Kendall Ryan and I think THE ROOM MATE is definitely my top favorite!! I really hope that the next two books can live up to the fabulousness of this first installment! First off, let’s make an homage to the beauty that is the cover of this book!! I mean, HELLO, have you seen a hotter cover?!!! It was one of the main reasons I signed up to promote and review the story! And let me just say the other book covers are not too shabby either!! I really do believe Kendall Ryan has a huge HIT on her hands with this series! This is my second romance with the best friend’s little brother and I have to say I didn’t think I would love this trope but THE ROOM MATE has changed my outlook 100%!! Ladies, I am not exaggerating when I say-- Get ready to fall in love with Dr. Cannon Roth!
Cannon is in his last year of Medical School and on his way to starting his residency in a specialty of his choice. He has always been driven when it came to his education. He went to Yale on a full academic scholarship and chose medicine as his major because he wants to be able to take care of his mother who worked so hard to raise Cannon and his older sister all on her own. Cannon’s dad abandoned them early on and it’s always left him with the need to care for and protect his mother and sister. It also affected his view of relationships. He doesn’t believe in committed relationships and he isn’t willing to have an emotional entanglement stand in his way of becoming a doctor. The one problem that plagues him is that every woman he takes to bed gets just a tad psychotic when he tries to cut them loose. The last woman he had sex with ended up breaking into his apartment and vandalizing it which resulted in getting him evicted. Now Cannon is homeless but only needs a place to stay for the next two months before he goes off to start his Residency.
Paige is Cannon’s older sister’s BFF from childhood and was the star of all his teenage sexual fantasies. His sister ends up convincing her to let Cannon rent out her spare bedroom in her townhouse. Paige lives a very lonely but peaceful life in her tiny townhouse with her little dog, Enchilada. She’s reluctant at first to let Cannon live with her because she’s used to her privacy and has never roomed with anyone. When Cannon shows up on her doorstep, Paige is stunned by how incredibly gorgeous and masculine he has become. Maybe living with Cannon won’t be such a bad thing after all! The problem is she’s starting to feel insanely attracted to him. It doesn’t help matters when she sees him in all his naked glory the first night he moves in and holy “H” when she walks in on him taking matters into his own hands the next night- it’s no wonder why her lady bits were always on fire!
Cannon lets Paige in on his problems with women and how just one night with him makes them turn into love-sick psychotic stalkers. Paige takes this as a challenge and suggests they have sex so that she can prove to him that not every woman falls in love with him afterward.
Although they both know getting involved sexually is a really bad idea neither of them can fight the lust that’s been building up between them! What was only supposed to be a one-time deal turns into the most complicated and possibly the one true thing that neither of them expected.
When there are so many things stacked against these two, will they be able to fight all the odds and take a chance on true love???

The Room Mate is book one in the Roommates series by Kendall Ryan. This is my second book by this author, the first being The Fix Up which I loved! This one I did enjoy but I have to say there were things I liked about it such as plenty of sexy times, endearing characters who were loyal to a fault and fun. But, there were a few things that I didn’t like as much in this one as well. Still, I rated it a solid four stars. So, let me tell you about this book.
Paige is twenty eight years old, lives alone with a little dog she found as a stray, and works in Human Resources for a small non-profit company. She seems to be okay with her life but she is lonely. She has lost her parents so the only person she is close to is her very best friend, Allie who she grew up with. She hasn’t been in a relationship in over a year. She is used to being alone and likes her privacy so she isn’t all that thrilled when Allie calls her up begging her to let her younger brother, Cannon, stay with her for the next two months. Allie is her best friend, though, so she couldn’t very well say no.
Cannon Roth is twenty four years old and is a med student with two months left before he chooses his specialty and starts his residency. Cannon has had a crush on Paige since he was ten years old. His sister used to let him tag along with them sometimes. But growing up Cannon was skinny and studious and shy. No one ever knew how he felt. He’s not that same person now though. He works out daily and has the body to show for it. Girls throw themselves at him. Cannon is completely dedicated to his mom and sister. His mom struggled to raise the two of them on her own and he owes her everything. He has no problem finding women, the problem is, the women he finds tend to go head over heels for him and turn into crazy stalkerish people. Such is the case with the last woman he dated. Which resulted in him not having a place to live and losing all his belongings.
The thought of living with his childhood crush is crazy. Maybe he could fulfill a couple of his childhood fantasies while he was there! But he has no intentions of letting emotions get involved. He never does. He has to stay focused on his goals, becoming a Dr. In two months he will be moving away. Things don’t always go as planned, though do they?
When Paige sees Cannon for the first time, she can’t believe this is the same Cannon she grew up with. And when he tells her that women tend to fall in love with him after having sex only one time, she has to challenge him. She promises, she won’t be one of those women. And she can’t deny that it won’t be fun to prove him wrong while waking up all her girly parts at the same time. They’ve been packed away for much too long. But again, things don’t always go as planned.
I loved the way Paige and Cannon’s relationship developed. They were friends first. They settled in a comfortable routine that was so cute. They wrote notes to each other, cooked for each other. Their bond developed slowly. But, later, when life threw Cannon two huge blows in as many days, it was Paige he called, Paige he yearned for to comfort him, Paige he needed.
Here is where I want to explain the couple of things that I didn’t love about this book. First, there was a lot of inner dialogue, mostly in the first half of the book. I found myself zoning out at times during some of this. The second thing was that as Paige and Cannon’s feelings developed, they both were constantly making assumptions regarding what the other was thinking. And those assumptions were almost always wrong. Neither of them communicated their thoughts which caused so many problems and a lot of unneeded pain. My heart was pounding and I’m sure that is a good thing to admit to an author because that means she was getting to me. But still, these two needed to talk badly. And they didn’t. The love between Cannon and his sister, Allie, was wonderful but I felt that she was putting even more pressure on Cannon to succeed. She was the biggest hurdle for Paige and Cannon. They were so afraid to let Allie know they were together. She should have been their biggest supporter. Instead, she was a road block.
All in all, though, I enjoyed the book. It had such a cute ending. I finished the book a little bit after bed time last night and I laid there for quite a while thinking about it. I could not go to sleep. So, again, I guess to an author, this is a good thing because the book got to me. I definitely look forward to reading more of Kendall Ryan’s work.

When Cannon arrives Paige barely recognizes him. He's all grown up. He's no longer the geek with braces, but a sinfully delicious man. He's pure temptation & she doesn't know how she's going to manage living under the same roof with him for two months. He's confident, flirty, & has a dirty mouth that sets her on fire. She hasn't had sex in over a year, & becomes fascinated with Cannon & his beautiful body. This is my second book from Kendall Ryan and usually if I want an easy and romantic read her books are the perfect solution.
The blurb sounded very interesting and I've decided to go for it, even if I've read tons of books with roommates, even if they get along or not. Eventually everything turns into romance, so I know exactly the outcome, what is interesting is the transition and I wanted to see for myself if it would be original or not... I am kind of confused right now, but let's get started..
Paige is our beloved heroine. Her life flows in an noneventful way, with a job, a best friend, but without any romance and spice in her life. Of course this all changes when she is asked by her friend to allow her brother to move in with her for a couple of months, until he will leave town to pursue a residency in medicine. She agrees, being confident that living with Cannon for 2 months will not be very complicated, due to his busy schedule and shifts. She was so wrong... She and Cannon grew up together, him being the little brother, always the shadow of Paige and his sister. Now Cannon is all grown up, and turned into a very attractive young man, who will spark the interest in our girl here.
Cannon's life is very complicated. Besides from looking after his sister and mother, he is pursuing his dream in becoming a doctor. All the hard work has to pay of and eventually he will be rewarded in having the career of his life. Some unfortunate events made is swear of women and not love focus on the important things that matters. So, no distractions, no relationships, no " I Love you" s, only one night stands without commitment and hard feelings. As a teen he was infatuated with Paige, but he could not reach her, couldn't express his feelings, but now having her this close resulted in a very complicated problem for him.
The chemistry that our characters had was off the charts and explosive, but for me it didn't feel very realistic. I know that body language is very important in a relationship and with our heroes being extremely good looking it was very hard to ignore this fact. But I didn't believe it.. I liked the steamy scenes, they were very hot and well described, but what went on between them was very WTF for me, because they acted like teens not like adults.
I mean, the whole plot was confusing, and I am sorry for it because it began well and I really thought it would develop into something good, but there were a lot of loose ends and ideas half finished that weren't explored as I thought. Not to mention that this obsesive idea that Cannon can't be in a relationship because he had to follow his dream for me was nonsense.
Why have a career and be lonely? Why not have somebody to share it with? Love can't be a distraction, is something that makes you pull through everything. And this obsessive idea in the book really upset me and didn't justify the plot. Not to mention that I didn't consider it original or something to take your breath away. It was not unpredictable and it lacked this contemporary vibe that I get from many books, that have a complicated plot. Here the accent was put on something not applicable and in my opinion it lacked conviction.

First, let us all bask in the awesomeness of this book's cover. Mmmhmm... Christian Hogue. Istalk follow him on IG and let me just say that his girlfriend is one lucky chica!
Okay, let's focus. Back to the book!
Cannon is a 24-year old gorgeous, sexy, charming, brilliant, successful, considerate... ok, you get the point. He's wonderful. He's the awesome in awesomesauce. He's two months away from starting his residency (Yes! He's a doctor y'all) and now he's got no place to live. Why? Like 50 Cent and Lil Kim say, he's got the "magic stick". One poke and girls are in love with him. They turn crazy and obsessive and one too many of these psychos got him evicted. But no worries because his big sister has a solution. He can stay with her BFF, 28-year old Paige, who they've known their whole lives. Who he's crushed on for 10 years. Who he's wanted to sleep with for 8. But that's alright because he's sworn off relationships and refuses to have anyone or anything distract him from his goals.
Tee hee... ha ha ha... All of that crap goes out the window when Paige challenges his "magic stick" theory!
The only thing that really threw me off was that ALL of the drama in this story happens towards the end. It seemed like each chapter had some type of mess going on. And on top of all of that, the ending, though happy, wasn't enough for lil ol' me :( But overall, I enjoyed the pants off this book and recommend it to all fans of romance!!

He’s dedicated, charming, and hot. Did I mention he’s a future doctor? Because he is. A million cookie points for this one. They get along so well and their sexual chemistry is off the charts!
The Room Mate is a fun and sexy standalone forbidden romance told in Cannon and Paige’s POV. It has little angst, a lot of steam, cute banter, and abs for days. I mean seriously. Just look at the cover! Look at it!

If you are looking for your next fun-filled, sexy book that will make you swoon, then look no further than “The Room Mate” by Kendall Ryan. It was such an entertaining story it had me glued to the pages from start to finish. One thing in particular I loved about this read was the amazing storytelling of Kendall Ryan; the plot was compelling as was the dialogue, it was not just about fun and sexy scenes. Don’t get me wrong I love books with plenty of hot and steamy scenes in them, but I also enjoy a thrilling story to keep me engaged with the storyline and characters; this book certainly delivered.

I was wondering why I added this and saw that most of my friends loved it, so that must be why. I'm sorry, friends. Proceed to throw things at me now. I would prefer you throw money and chocolate instead of tomatoes, but I guess I don't get to pick.
So, it was okaaay. Just, not amazing. And, not funny enough for me. If you are going to write a rom-com, make it funny. That's the "com" part of it.
The story is not a new idea, but if the characters were interesting enough, and the dialogue funny enough, and the sex steamy enough... I would have been happy.
But, the characters were kind of one-dimensional. The girl has a job, a dog, and one friend. It felt flat. Not real at all. Even the dog was boring. The guy is a manwhore. Oh, that's so original! The dialogue was boring. The sex was just basic. And, then there was angst. And, a huge problem that could have been solved with a conversation.

See that cover? That thing made me science all over my underwears before release date even came around. Thanks to the ever so delightful Courtney (whose review brought this to my porndar to begin with), I was bequeathed a copy of The Room Mate upon arriving at work yesterday. I was totally ready to pull out the big guns in order to guarantee some sneaky-reading too . . . . .
But things were slow so I managed to get an actual lunch hour and hiding in the toilet stall wasn’t necessary.
The story here is that Paige’s bestie’s younger brother needs a place to stay for a couple of months before he starts his residency. Paige reluctantly gives in only to discover Cannon (stupid name is stupid) isn’t the same nerd she remembered from high school.
Allow me a second to say between the cover and the description of Cannon being six plus feet tall with messy, sandy-colored hair “cropped neatly on the sides, but long enough on top” with a bonus five o’clock shadow and you have a Kelly who was seriously channeling her inner Leslie Jones when it came to this book . . . .
Where was I? Oh yeah, Cannon needs a place to stay and Paige has an extra room. Due to a combination of his schedule and a track record with Stage Five Clingers, Cannon is just trying to get through his final couple of months in town. But he can’t deny he’s always had a thing for Paige and, well, Paige has a pretty itchy scratch she’d like to take care of herself. However, rules are rules and your BFF’s little brother should remain off limits. That is, until Paige accidentally runs into Cannon when he’s coming out of the shower – and then catches him rubbing one out and she’s all like . . . .
And see that meat bar she does! #splooooooooosh
If you are looking for a trope that never gets tired without a lot of angst and with a bunch of quality sexuals, this is a winner. This is also the reason I never say never when it comes to porno authors. I literally just (like two days ago) 2 Starred a book by Kendall Ryan and seriously debated about whether or not this was worthy of all 5 Porny Stars. (For those curious, it didn’t get the full monty because Cannon mentioned all of his “8 inches” a time too many and that just didn’t seem like something to write home to yo momma about.) Despite his weird obsession of his not-really-that-giant wang, I still wanted to do bad things to him . . . .

The Room Mate is a standalone and is part of the Roommates series.
I love Kendall Ryan books and I really liked The Room Mate. I found it to be very fun, fast pace and the perfect book to keep me in a good mood.
I was also a fan of the characters and storyline. Paige is your typical Heroine. She’s sweet, independent and has a best friend. Her best friend has a YOUNGER brother and yes you read that right, he’s younger.
I’m not a fan of the Hero being younger usually, BUT there’s something about Cannon that made me really like him. His character is charming, honest and very intelligent. He’s going to be a doctor and I really liked that.
Cannon rents a room from Paige’s house and both know NOTHING can come out of the relationship because the sister will not be happy. Cannon is the hardworking type. He wants to support his family and be successful, not necessary rich, but just happy in life and financial stable.
The book is really fast pace, as mentioned above and there is never a dull moment. It’s the type of book you can read in one sitting and you know when you finish you will be a happy person. I just finished a few dramatic books and so The Room Mate was the perfect book to read next.
You will not be disappointed.

Overall Opinion: This was disappointing tbh. My greedy, greedy self wanted more! I felt like I wanted more of the character development, more of the progressions of feelings (other than lust), more of them as an actual couple, and more closure with a HEA! Just simply MORE! I found it a little lack-luster because we just skimmed the surface of those things. It also had one of my biggest pet-peeves with MISCOMMUNICATION! If only they talked to one another they wouldn't have had any issues. But I guess we needed some drama thrown in. This is a very low angst, pretty hot, and easy read. It is one that'll work great if you need it as fluffer for in between those heavier reads.
Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Paige and Cannon's story. They have known each other since they were kids, and were even really close for a time because Paige is best friends with Cannon's older sister. There is a 4 year age difference, so when they parted ways they lost touch. Paige reluctantly agrees to let her friend's dorky little brother move in temporarily while he finishes med school, but is completely shocked at the strong attraction she feels toward the new man he has become. They dance around a bit, and Paige gives Cannon a challenge he cannot refuse. They start a secret relationship of sorts and end up developing stronger feelings for one another...and do get a HFN ending.
POV: This alternated between Paige and Cannon's POV.
Overall Pace of Story: Good until the end (see closure section below). I never skimmed, and I thought it flowed well otherwise.
Instalove: No, but it developed pretty quickly (or it felt that way to me because I didn't feel the progression into stronger feelings). The H had always had feelings for the h when he was a younger person.
H rating: 3.5 stars. Cannon. I liked him, but I wanted him to communicate better with Paige.

But one look at the grown up version of the once nerdy Cannon Roth made her rethink the situation. Full disclosure here. The cover to this book with its blurb is totally hot and impossible to ignore. So I didn’t. This book wasn’t in my reading schedule but I carved out the time because darn it I wanted to read about the sexy as sin doctor with the magical schlong! And guess what? I totally got hooked from page one and practically read it in a single breath except for the time where I had to put my tablet away before I hurled it at something or someone preferably one of the main characters. So let’s talk about them.
Cannon was as close to perfect as one man can get. Looks? Check. Smarts? Doctor, hello!! Charm? The blurb says he could make any woman instantly fall for him. A giving heart? Well yes! He not only wanted to take care of his mother he also wanted to give back by doing humanitarian work. He was also thoughtful and handy in the kitchen. Of course any girl would fall in love with him! Paige was equally endearing and from the moment these two started flirting they totally burned up the pages.
I really liked how Kendall mixed the friends to lovers with a touch of forbidden romance. Even though Cannon and Paige had known each other for over a decade, there had been a few years where they weren’t in each other’s lives and had grown and matured separately. It was really fun that they knew each other from childhood but still had to reacquaint with one another and the new and improved versions of themselves.
Even though they had their reservations about being roommates they fell into an easy and natural relationship, except of course for the fact that they were hiding their between the sheets activities from Cannon’s sister because, forget about parental blessing, they needed the sister and BFF blessing above all else. Sorry, I know sarcasm is the lowest form of wit but this really drove me batty because Cannon and Paige were perfect until they weren’t with what felt to me like too much unnecessary drama. Perhaps I took this read way too seriously and should just focus on the light-hearted parts.
You are most welcome to ignore my rating. I’m probably in the minority and think this is an “it’s me, not you” kind of situation. I just have a pet peeve about two intelligent, successful adults miscommunicating or in this case assuming and not communicating at all which reared its ugly head and just didn’t allow me enjoy the rest of the book together with Cannon’s sister who proclaimed to love her little brother and best friend but by all accounts acted selfishly throughout the story. As an older sister to a younger brother I just couldn’t relate with her feelings or actions.
The story does have a pretty sexy and fun feel to it with a decidedly sweet happy ending. The Room Mate is book #1 in the Roommates series by Kendall Ryan. It is a standalone contemporary romance. Told from both points of view.

Paige was fairly happy with her life. She had a job she liked, a friend she adored. What more could a girl want? Ok, perhaps she did feel a bit lonely but accepting her BFF’s little brother to move in with her even for a couple of months wasn’t exactly what she had in mind. But one look at the grown up version of the once nerdy Cannon Roth made her rethink the situation. Full disclosure here. The cover to this book with its blurb is totally hot and impossible to ignore. So I didn’t. This book wasn’t in my reading schedule but I carved out the time because darn it I wanted to read about the sexy as sin doctor with the magical schlong! And guess what? I totally got hooked from page one and practically read it in a single breath except for the time where I had to put my tablet away before I hurled it at something or someone preferably one of the main characters. So let’s talk about them.

This book felt like a whole heap of same, same but different, different. While it covered quite a few different genres there were small twists on all of it that made it feel fresh and unique. Sure it was the usual new adult and it was a best friends sibling and a room mates to lovers but the way it was presented and the twists in the road were different.
I loved that Cannon was younger than Paige. And with both of them knowing exactly who they were individually and where they were going and neither being interested in a relationship I was sure I had the plot all figured out before I even opened the book. Then I read that first page and was scratching my head wondering what the fuck I was getting.
And that first page was just the start of the twists and turns. But then bam smoking hot sex and out of this world sexual tension and then all the feels and suddenly I had a four star read on my hands and an inability to put the book down until I knew how it was all going to end.
Luckily this was the first in a four-part series so now I only need to wait for the next one for another fix.

in all honesty, this book was pretty meh to me. like, there was nothing really special or unique about this story that captured my attention from start to finish. sure cannon was sexy and all, but whatever. his character was eh and so was paige. I'm probably not going to continue the series as there isn't any point since I didn't like this one a lot.

Nope. Just no. I'm dnf-ing this mess. It started out ok and I was excited to read this since it was so highly rated on here. I'd also like to blame Kelly & Mitchell (the Book Boar) for this. They were all over this book and gave me high expectations.
Plot: Female mc has apt, her best friend's younger brother needs a place to stay and he's a doctor in residency. All sounds good and he's an uber hot doctor. Where it goes wrong - it's too trope filled. They decide to get it on after drinking and because they should. First time they try to seal the deal, the best friend/sister of doctor guy interrupts them. The final straw for me was when they decided to stop using condoms because she had a latex allergy. Nope, just nope.
I'm sure this book is for a lot of people, but it was barely working for me before the condom incident. That annoyed me and it was already dragging. I decided to move on to something else.

He needs a new place to live and his sister Allie recently moved in with her boyfriend and since it is so new, they don’t want him to crash with them. Cannon just made himself a promise to only do one night stands without giving names or phone numbers, because he was sick of women falling in love with him and wanting more when he wasn’t able to give more.
The Story: Paige remembers Cannon as a young kid who was the little brother of her best friend Allie, who always used to follow them around. She barely recognizes the tall, well groomed, sinfully sexy guy that arrives at her apartment. Cannon remembers Paige as the beautiful girl who used to sleep over at their house all the time when they were kids. He had a huge crush on Paige and finds that it never really died when he sees the beautiful woman she has become.
The narration was dual POV and dual narration, done by Jeremy York and Ava Erickson. Jeremy York is a terrific reader and has great voice inflections to convey mood and character, though I do like a deeper voice for the male readers, but her is pleasant to listen to. Ava Erickson has a fantastic voice that is soft and lyrical and sounds age appropriate for a young woman.
I love the roommate trope in romance, the idea that the two main characters have to live in the same space and spend so much time together while trying to deny their attraction to each other. I generally don’t like the best friends brother or brothers best friend trope, mostly because I like to see the first meeting between the romantic couple. However, this worked well for me because they hadn’t seen each other since their teens.

Total ovary explosion!! It wasn't just dancing but it did jump with glee that turned my Fallopian tube to disrupt! And then Kendall wasn't done, she's evil! Because aside from the fact that this book has some forbidden vibe, the age gap was definitely turning me on some more! Holler!! Holler!!!!
Seriously, this book really do me. My God, reading this book feels like living the dream. That prologue alone had my interest escalated and had me turning the pages like I was some gaga. And with characters that oozes sizzling chemistry? Count me in!!! The story is fast paced and lighthearted but what really struck me with Kendall's writing is beyond her sexy and hot scenes, swoony and charming hero, hot as sin and sassy heroine with a thick sexual tension. It's the fact that this author could definitely write a book that will really interest her readers. More than that, it's in the fact that it doesn't just seems to focus on how hot a story can bring, instead on what the story really wanted to deliver.. It has substance and it has depth and I could not ask for more.
Yeah, the "art of making lemonade" just made more sense.
