Quite literally a more sensual version of Aura.. as someone that’s OBSESSED with the original, this is just as good. Not sure if I even like one more than the other.. I kinda view them as two sides of the same coin.. kinda depends more on the actual use case but wowwwww I love my Aura’s! Gonna have the original set as my signature but just pretend sensuelle is right behind it lol

Aesthetic: #fairycore #orphic #nymph

For me, this is an orphic and bewitching creation.
It's a lush & luscious, almost buttery lactonic, creamy and sweet gardenia, what is toned with tranquille but mysterious, dewy, emerald and fern green nuances. And this enthralling combination of this wet, crystal like greennes and the alluring and slightly mushroomy gardenia is twisted with the ticklish and delicate touch of that sparkling, elfinly effervescent spicyness of the cinnamon leaf. And these nuances are the cause why i feel this fragrance otherwordly and so enchanting and fairy/magical forest-nymph like. And at the drydown, this fae just finally rests on that soft musky sandalwood base under the gardenia blossoms, and a big, dewdroppy butterbur leaf.

I HATED the original Mugler Aura. It was one of the few perfumes that have actually made me feel sick/nauseous, so I gave it away. This is lovely though. I only get a teeny amount of the OG, which makes it feel so much fresher, green, and light. The dewy florals and greens in this stand out at first, and then it turns sweet and spicy at the same time. The more I wear this the more I like it. It has at best moderate longevity and projection, but I haven't tried wearing this outside yet, so it may be different depending on the weather.

BikiniSoTeeny

Green flowers, musky sharp but other than that soft and feminine. Skin scent, a touch of menthol - I got the same note from the original aura.. Forest fairy scent 🫧🧚🏼♀️

chyan

I got a bottle of this for my mom a couple years ago and she’s only used about 1/4 of it so I tried to start wearing it but there I s something simultaneously salty and super sweet about it that is off very putting to me, as well as the green note that smells like synthetic cucumber. I think this could sing in warm weather but in the cooler climate it’s not working. Have yet to try the original and I can’t recall why I thought it’d be a good choice for mom

stinkyfrog

such a stunning complement to aura. they share the same dna and it's particularly evident by the vanillic-woody-musky dry down, but the opening hits with more of a slightly green gardenia rather than the herbaceous, mentholated feeling of the original. midway it develops into what i can only describe as watermelon candy - it's so damn juicy and delicious !!!! aura og has a bubblegum vibe to me but it's not nearly as sweet as eau sensuelle. i love them both with a passion :)

Chloe Spagnoli

I like it, but i feel like the second I walk away its literally gone.

Fenissa

@naturechild the juice in my bottle is a very light amber tone, although I've had it for a couple of years and can't remember if it began like that or if it darkened over time like most Mugler perfumes do. The bottle is iridescent and really stunning. It reminds me a little of Nacre/Mother of Pearl, which you find inside seashells.

@Beagn No, the cinnamon leaf doesn't smell like the spice at all. Aura Sensuelle is a beautifully crafted, sweet Gardenia fragrance. A must for any Gardenia lover. I personally think it's even more beautiful than the original Aura.

Belleprincess1

@Beagn it doesn’t smell like cinnamon at all! I think the cinnamon leaf just adds some greenness. But overall it’s a white floral with green nuances. The gardenia is definitely the main note here. Hope that helps xx

Beagn

Does cinnamon leaf smells like cinnamon? Otherwise I can’t use it :(

Harpalike

The opening is very close as smell to the lipstics from my childhood. I feel the greenes afterward. An hour ago it becomes very gentle and flowery. In the hot weather it is slighly headachy due to the gardenia, but in the colder summer days - very, very pleasent.

Beagn

Can anyone tell me if the cinnamon leaf smells like actual cinnamon? Cause if it’s strong and like the actual thing, I can’t get it cause I’ll throw up 🫠
Help?

naturechild

Im about to buy this but i can't figure out what's the colour of the juice inside - is it yellow, orange or translucent? It looks different in photos

pinotos802

Not a bad scent at all, to me it leans a bit more to the masculine side as it is very fresh. Better than the original, to me the original Aura smells really weird like cut grass and not in a good way. It's pleasant and generic, not remarkable or special, I don't think this would offend anyone. Moderate lasting power (around 4hrs) and moderate sillage.

Atina365

Aura is my signature scent and this one is almost the same as the OG. I love both.

Im_only_lurking

I am so sad I got to experience this now that it is discontinued :(

It smells creamy florally and dewy, wet, green. Some days it's sweeter, other days it's greener. I believe even people who are not the biggest fans of green fragrances could enjoy it because of it's subtlety and sweetness. Mind you this is not a gourmand sweet. Longevity is not great on very warm summer days, but I can forgive that.

This reminds me of pixies while original aura of witches. I love them both!

EDIT: fyi, it gets lost in the summer heat.

Mystères du Château de Dé

This month I have seen 50ml bottles for 25 bucks in discount beauty shops. For a bit at the opening it reminds me of Aura, which I love. Overall it's a white flower vanilla musk amber elixir. I smell gauzy gardenia and humid greens. Not a swamp or jungle atmosphere. It's a luxury perfume. Beautiful and the current price a steal but I'm not sure it's my style. Whereas Aura OG is a real trip, up there with Eden.

x.rina.x

In my personal point of view it's stunning! ♡
It's a gorgeous, lush & rich, very lacton-full, almost buttery-milky gardenia fragrance with a lively dewy and etheteal green facet what is fresh but humid and as pale, wet and semi-transculent as aquarelle.
If u like the creamy, lactonic type of whitefloral fragrances, or the ' fig leaf' type of milky green facets in a fragrance than give this fragrance a chance!
The Gardenia fragrances which i really like are:
• Versace - Crystal Noir
• Heeley - Cocobello
• Voyage Imaginaries - Le Grand Jeu

So if you have similar taste, i think u will probably like this little treasure!♡

Btw, the glass is otherwordly, fairy like & stunning!♡

SBUNNI

I bought the whole Aura line bc it looks like it’s about the be discontinued and they’re all pretty cheap. This one came first.
I don’t know what I was expecting but I get almost no green notes from this, it’s almost entirely white floral-jasmine to me. Which is fine, I like that scent, but ALOT of white floral fragrances smell like this but more complex.
Overall I’m wondering if there’s any trace of the original aura in this because I was expecting a eucalyptus, minty, balmy smell everyone’s talking about

Tony Shades

Very beautiful and unique modern green white floral. It's very different from the original Aura and from everything else made by Mugler. A must try even for Mugler haters.

annema

Creamier and softer Aura. Less green more floral (gardenia). If you don't feel like wearing the real Aura but want something more... discrete and intimate this is a good choice. Aura DNA is still present though. Longevity was not terrible on me. After 3h I could not smell it on my wrist hence this is the reason I didn't buy it at the time. It was a nice one and probably why it just has been discontinued. I think I'm gonna hunt down a bottle online.

another_52hz_whale

I have gardenia in my garden and I really like gardenia scent. I do not think this is well blended. One spray gave me a headache. I gave it away!

clairescentience

It's.... orange peel.

I'm not sure if the decant I got is fake or what but I really want to smell all this deliciousness people are getting at. I want to smell the cinnamon but it's light orange peel to my nose.

Misia Cloudy Lamb

Oh the bottle … an ultimate fairy core. It doesn’t look cheap in real at all. I needed to take some time to like it but beside my personal sentiments - you can definitely tell that is Mugler quality.

Jasmine creamy (alien like) + juvenile greens + dull spice note

Gyps

I love this Mugler as much as the others I have. It smells very much like the OG to me, only a little bit softer and less long lasting. Still very green and reminds me of lime cordial. I haven’t been disappointed in any Mugler fragrance yet. Love love 🥰

ChocoLei

I'm so mad this beauty has been discontinued... I just ordered a 50ml bottle but I wish I could have bought a 100ml. They're all gone now.

This is the creamiest, most velvety gardenia I've ever smelled. Slightly green and veeeery vanillic, even though vanilla is not listed, it 100% has the Aura green vanilla DNA.

It feels light yet dense, ethereal yet generous. It feels more comforting and crowd-pleasing than the OG Aura. I absolutely adore both, but this one is so angelic. Almost gives me an ice cream feeling.

I hope I can get my hands on a backup bottle before prices go wild. If you love it, get this flanker as soon as you can. At this point, I'm scared even OG Aura will disappear...

CindieLeon

One of my first few blind buys, and I'm so glad I got one! Surprisingly nice scent which I don't find as green as it is floral. Mugler did another AH-MAZING job

shitcum

i'm just now reading that apparently a lot of people have a hard time finding this one. i just bought this one in store (douglas) like a few months ago? they had a bunch. i never knew it was discontinued and now i'm scared to use it all up :( i love this perfume so much, the colors and the heart r just beautiful. she's sweet but not overblown, not like candy sweet or cheap sweet, she's warm, genuinely warm, gentle but firm, feels like a place you just randomly stumble upon while traveling/walking around in the middle of a super small and picturesque town and after stumbling upon it you visit again each day after. it's your little secret home, no one's ever there and it's your choice if you want to share it with those close to you. it really reminds me of every hallway crush i've ever had. just that super cool and sweet girl that you can't help but want to get to know more abt, to befriend, to hang out with more, etc. i love it. it sits beautifully on my piano and i just can't get enough of it. highly recommend !! but also don't, because it's mine. kidding it's great everyone should own this

stellavale

I got a bottle of this for a good price on poshmark so I’m not sure how fresh it still smells. I like it! It definitely has the Mugler zing in the top notes, but after that it wears down warm and soft. I like the top notes the best but it really doesn’t last very long on me. I love the eternal lasting power of Alien, but this is an edt not edp so I suppose that is to be somewhat expected.

aquadiamor

Was in love, was my signature. It’s discontinued so we broke up lol. I will miss this one but I don’t wanna pay over price just because it’s hard to find, I have so many more I love too. This fragrance is really special though it’s a unique sweetness that mix with freshness unlike anything I’ve ever tried.

Fuegogo

If you are in the UK they are still selling it exclusively online on the Mugler UK website. They often do sales on there too with 20% off.
I looked on the Mugler USA website and yeah it’s gone from there. I saw the Aura eau de toilette is available there while it has been discontinued in the UK. Interesting how different countries discontinue different ones.

Faedriel

Why WHY is this a discontinued flanker?!
I finally blind bought this to try as I sought out my wedding fragrance and I’m pretty sure this is the winner.
It’s floral, sweet, green. Honestly in anyone else’s hands I’d say that it would smell generic. But it has that Mugler touch that makes it so much more than just another green white floral.

I am in love and if this does win the fight to be my wedding fragrance I am going to buy a ton of backup bottles and I’ll accept any donations.
(The idea of the wedding fragrance is to have something you wear on the day that you pull out and wear when you might need a burst of joy or love, because it takes you back to that day. So obviously I will need to ensure I never run out)

WAY overdue edit: This did indeed win and was my Wedding fragrance!!! It was just lovely on the day, it was cool and crisp and the floral plus the green just sang. Very special to me forever now.

swedishmilk15

I dislike the original Aura (I think. I keep trying to like it.) I probably should have bought this instead.

Chocobaby

This started off with a fresh green gardenia. Within 10 minutes, it’s melded into sweet muskiness with a hint of cinnamon. I can’t discern the floral or green notes anymore. Just one smooth sweet veil. Sillage is tamed for a Mugler.

Dimma

Creamy and dreamy. Warm and yet airy at the same time. Just gorgeous!
I don't sense much green-ness in this, if any.
To me, this smells kinda like a glass of milk (or creamy lactose to be more specific) with vanilla and a dash of sandalwood, clean musk and just a touch of cinnamon.

It also gains more warm depth and spiciness with age.

Udacha

Lovely and appealing white flowers, musk, sandalwood creamy blend - what NOT to like? Very safe and quite beautiful - I like to layer with NR Musk for her …Mmmm - soft and cloudy white floral musk Aura

likesleet

fresh, clean & slightly sweet. very safe & universally appealing for a mugler frag.

olaszczepanik5

I am in love!!! This is exactly whas I was searching for! I honestly can't imagine someone disliking this. The opening is quite sharp and I smelled something similiar to jasmine and after a few minutes the scent becomes a beautiful, powdery, musky gardenia. I just can't stop smelling myself!!
I don't find this medicinal at all and I believe it can be fitting for spring, fall and summer (not those extremely hot days though)
I definitely recommend to try a sample of this one, I just ordered a full bottle 🤍

Kotikina

A creamy gardenia. The cinnamon is definitely present here, and sandalwood is also quite prominent, but it is not a screechy sandalwood which I hate and sometimes it can ruin the perfume for me, but again, rather buttery. It is sensual and less medicinal than the original Aura, yet it is still a tiny bit minty. For some strange reason it vaguely reminds me of mint chocolate. You have to like white florals in order to like it, and the scent overall is way more intense and louder than I imagined ( I probably forgot it is Mugler after all!) I wouldn't say it is a well behaved little sister of the original Aura, if the original is naughty jungle, this one is naughty gardenia garden.
In the opening, I would have never guessed it is a flanker of Aura, but closer to dry down you can smell this Aura DNA. One of the spring/summer favourites for sure! I imagine it would be very beautiful on a slightly windy summery day. I believe it could start suffocating you a bit on a very hot day.
Of course, there is no need even to mention how beautiful the bottle is.
UPD: Ok, I misjudged gardenia here - it doesn't become suffocating, it becomes more minty during heat. Nice.

ko.yours

The first time I tested this on my wrist, I was nauseated by how sickeningly sweet it was. I thought "Never again". However, 2 hours later... I caught a whiff of it and OH MY. It was a powdery bomb of a hypnotically sweet flower elixir. Something about it felt so nostalgic and magical.. and I was under its spell. I knew that I needed a sample of this fragrance.

Second time trying it on.. First sniff is cute, sweet, endearing (alas still too intense I can't). Then it dried down to faint vanilla on my skin that was so boring and dull. I don't know what happened, where is my cloud of concentrated flower romance? I thought that was the end of that perfume. I went on about my day anyway. Then...a few more hours go by and.. Poof! A purply pink cloud with sparkles appeared, then faded away. That's THE smell that I smelled the first time! What. A. Tease! This intoxicatingly sweet and addictive smell is playing hide and seek with me.

And that's what makes this perfume so interesting and exciting to me. I too want to be this mysterious being that people will seek over, and think about every now and then until they find me. Aura Sensuelle is from now on the "hide and seek magical fairy" in my book. Once you smell it, you will want to know where it's from and it will haunt you. Or, you know, it could also be "the durian of perfumes" ;D I couldn't stand its intensity at first, but once I smelled it, it got me hooked :)

Versatility wise - I am unsure, because though I love the waft, I do NOT want to be smelling it all the time (good thing is I only use 1 spritz so I don't smell it all the time unless I put my nose into my wrist). And I will have to wait for the opening note to fade, which takes like, 3-4 hours? Personally will be fitting to wear on a night out especially in a club or in a big group so I can indulge myself in being a sexy and mysterious entity :D

justcheckinout

I accidentally spilled some of this :( To make my spill worth it I'll write a quick review here. Sensuelle does have the Aura DNA, in that they are both sweet and green. The OG Aura EDP is sweet in a gourmand way (orange flower and vanilla gives it a fruit cake vibe), but Sensuelle, with gardenia and musk instead of orange blossom and vanilla, is less gourmand-y and more soapy, clean and refreshing. The green notes are the same in both, still medicinal (Sensuelle is slightly less medicinal though), but maybe because of gardenia, it's less like tropical rainforest. This is definitely perfect for spring! OG leans more autumn to me because of the vanilla. The sillage seems weaker than the OG EDP, not sure if it’s because I didn’t spray it. Now I'm taking a deep sniff at the 5 drops that I spilled on my pillow, what a gardenia bouquet! After 20 minutes or so, gardenia starts backing out and the fizzy, spicy cinnamon leaf takes over. It’s also getting more powdery. After 6 hours it becomes a skin scent, leaving a trace of cinnamon leaf + sweet musk (hint of gardenia). 12 more hours later, only the same green notes (the Aura DNA) is left.

DT953

Okay, so I'm wearing this again today and what a shock... I've changed my mind again. In my initial review, I said I preferred this to the EdT but overall preferred the EdP to this. I said that it was like the perfumer was given a little while with the original and told to recreate it using different notes... I sort of still agree with that, but don't think it comes up short or without the quirkiness that Mugler is known for. Quite the opposite, actually. I think this successfully rounds the edges of the original with creaminess from the gardenia and sandalwood, but that otherworldly queerness still exists in Eau Sensuelle's heart. A synthetic fragrance that doesn't overwhelm, nor does it put you off. Cinnamon and rhubarb go well together, and the vanilla softens the jagged edges this may have had. Yeah, I think this is my favourite Aura. It starts out weird and fun, dries down to a beautiful floral. Bravo!

staka01

Fresh green floral but grounded with the slight cinnamon note. I don't see vanilla listed but I get a bit of a vanilla note. It is a very pretty fragrance, perfect for spring or summer but I would wear anytime.

AmarilisV

This was a blind buy gift from my husband. As much as I liked the scent, there was something synthetic that would give me a headache every time I sprayed it. Even when I did less sprays it gave me a headache. I then learned Mugler makes very heavy and long lasting fragrances. The scent is nice, but something gives me a headache with this, that’s why I sold it. The bottle is beautiful though!

gelkita

I had forgotten about this fragrance and found it again today, the juice has now a honey tint and I don't think it was the case when new...
... and guess what, it smells so much better with age ! The white florals notes and musk are so much vibrant, also sweeter

CiCiGourmand

My first bottle from the Aura range was the edt. It was love at first sniff! Naturally I had to indulge myself by purchasing both the edp and this one, Sensuelle. Despite the edt and Sensuelle having very different notes, they smell very similar. I really enjoy wearing this one and find it to be long lasting on my skin. It has the light airiness from the edt with better staying power but less vanilla than Aura edp. That's exactly what I was looking for. Perfection!

fangpili

''What's that smell of raw sugar?'', was my daughter's first comment after I started wearing this. It is sweeter that I tend to like and the light cinnamon mixed with hints of Aura DNA come into play. It is less interesting but pleasant and more wearable than original Aura EDP; if I had to chose, I'd still stick with the original though.

Atomikbomb_

I completely anticipated to be met with a weaker, more transparent version of Aura. Aura without the Mugler muscle, if you will. However, this is a gorgeous and more subtle version, without feeling like a compromise or simply that it's a crippled flanker.

It has a lot of bouncy, tart candy greenness like the original, but it's softer and less *sour* (I love the OG Aura for that reason though). This is nowhere near the green bomb though, and isn't as jungle-ish. The Gardenia is lovely, and this is smoothly delicate, while remaining noticable. This mananages to not smell generic, but it isn't incredibly unique either - I'd say this is firmly *interesting*, not *intriguing*.

The mystique and bizarre nature of Aura is what draws me to it, and nothing competes. But I enjoy this for what it is, and admittedly it's WAY more versatile for many occasions, I wore this to the gym today and it was quite well-behaved.

Jacklyn's Perfumery

In dedication to Mugler I wore this today and surprisingly this lasted just as long as Aura edp because of the beautiful gardenia note. Oh how I wish they would of made this bottle refillable.. it would of been the one I used the most for the Aura collection because it's stunning. This scent is gorgeous and different. Luscious gardenia mixed with cinnamon with a citrus twist and as it develops turns interestingly sweet from the creamy sandalwood & green notes. Such a beauty if you love green fragrances and just crave different. I love both Aura edp and Sensuelle equally. Definitely for fall, winter & spring and easier to wear than the OG edp. With Mugler's passing I almost get teary eyed looking at all of his creations and going down memory lane..but it's good memories indeed.

Rcates78

You can't get this one on the Mugler website anymore so when I spied a 1oz bottle tucked behind some items on a shelf in my local TJ Maxx, in the wrong department, I snagged it. I like Aura but it's heady - boozy, fruity, musky (voluptuous, as another reviewer put it). It definitely brings to mind the steamy, suffocating stew of an overcrowded jungle bursting with leaf and bloom. It can be overpowering, which is why I never have purchased a full bottle but happily spritz the tiniest amount from samples when I have them. Sensuelle is less blatantly trying to steal the breath out of your lungs. Even so, the first time I wore it, it was springtime and it was still a little to overbearing and made the mild headache I woke up with that day so much worse. So it's been poised on my perfume shelves as an unused decoration ever since. I wrote a review then but had to come back to edit bc now it's a cold and cloudy December, and I suspected it might be a much better backdrop for Sensuelle. So I put it on this morning and discovered I was right! The green is chilled and creamy, the cinnamon is a spicy compliment to the gardenia, and the musk is tamped down and not trying to strangle you. The cold has affected the "EQ" of the notes, if you will, so that it's much more to my liking. I find Sensuelle a less "moist" version of Aura, with the characteristic DNA, more floral, of course, without the syrupy fruit of it's foremother. Unfortunately, I think I am developing a headache anyway, and that's probably the sandalwood. I find that sandalwood often sets off a headache for me, for whatever reason...the kind you feel in your teeth. Luckily, I will be outside much of the day, so hopefully that (and a couple of ibuprofen) will help fend off the worst of it. It's a lovely flanker, tho, and the bottle is gorgeous, as are most bottles from Mugler. I will use it sparingly, enjoy it, and keep the fond memories when it's gone, but probably won't purchase it again bc of the sandalwood headache.

kiaoi

I had to add this to my Aura collection. First, the bottle is beautiful, same faceted heart shape of the EDP and EDT but with a lilac, iridescent matte finish which makes the bottle look ethereal. The scent though, it’s hearty and sensual, sweet, green, cozy and made to stand out. The initial cinnamon leaf tickles my nose but then the scent develops into this beautiful vanilla-y, amber, deep note (although none of these notes are mentioned here, only in the description). “Voluptuous” is an adjective I often see used to describe this scent and it’s truly the best description for it. Don’t expect a scent different from the other Aura versions though, it’s just a sweeter and more flowery version of the original but beautiful nevertheless.

makitakeshita

Both Aura has the same scent on the top. However, for dry down, I feel this perfume has a sweeter scent than the original and musky. I like bouth Aura.

Spela123

I absolutely love the original Aura EDP and I was really excited to smell this one. I was a bit disappointed though, since it's very floral. The beginning does have the original's DNA, but then it becomes (for my nose at least) too floral. I'm also not sure since it's not listed within it's accords or notes, but I'm noticing some citrusy smells on my skin...
+ I expected it to be 'different' like the usual Mugler fragrances. This one is... quite ordinary smelling.

DorothyOz

I just got mine today. The bottle is just stunning! It's so beautiful and cute at the same time. I absolutely love it 100%. The perfume smells like violets 🍬 on me that I used to love as a child. Anyone else? Is it something else that I've mistaken for violet candy? I love it just for that, it reminds me of my childhood. I love it, I don't think it's a typical smell, I haven't smelled it on other people and I think it's unique and interesting. I haven't expected less from Mugler. I'm in love! If it's long lasting then it's just perfect and would be my second most favorite perfume. I think it stands out and I'm not exactly wearing it, it's just going along with me. I love this weird scent.

DT953

Wearing this again today; I've owned it since release and wear it sparingly. I wouldn't say this is "softer", just "different". The cinammon mentioned in the list of notes is definitely there. It doesn't really smell edible, but it does feel a little creamy from the sandalwood, and white musk. All in all, what you have is different ingredients being used to attempt a similar smell in my opinion. Almost as though someone had five minutes with the original mix and was given a while + whatever ingredients they required to remix it but came up just a bit short. I think I prefer this to the EdT, but prefer the EdP to this. The cinnawood here is odd.

jessr777

Blind bought this from TJ Maxx for $36. A few of the reviewers below nailed it, this is like Cottagecore in a bottle. Green, woody, fruity, sweet. Unfortunately, it’s far from my aesthetic, so will probably be giving this one to a friend. But I think it’s nice if you’re looking for something sweet, nature-y, and unique. Strong and long-lasting.

AlexandraTroush

Oh WOW!
I had a love-hate relationship with Aura EDP where sometimes I would love it and other times I would regret having sprayed it on as it nauseated me so bad. I couldn't really make it work so I eventually gave it away. But THIS version, oh my god. It's everything that's beautiful in the original, with the nauseating parts gone! I'm guessing I just couldn't handle how green the EDP is, so this floral-based (rather than green-based) Aura is perfect for me!
It's cold, windy and rainy where I live, and it opens beautifully. It still has that slight swamp feeling to it, but now it's a fairy's swamp instead of a witch's swamp. It's also harder to overspray this one, as it's not as strong and offensive as the EDP. It's pretty romantic and feminine, but it does have that "something" in it, that old Mugler somewhere in the background. I'm considering getting a back-up while I still can.

girlieeusername

pretty fragrance but doesn't match the unique packaging. pretty safe, generic smelling fragrance. typical white floral, musk, vanilla, i do smell a bit of the spiciness from the cinnamon leaf to keep it a bit more interesting. very sophisticated, but not "sensuelle", like not a bedroom sexy perfume. to me, it's even office appropriate. overall, a like but nothing special.

lnoskin

I was dying to try this and I finally got a sample during a swap! I love the edp and find it to be a perfect spring nighttime perfume. From the reviews I figured that it would be different enough if I wanted to purchase. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed. This is a good daytime perfume but I didn't find much of the original dna. I also found this a bit boring. Within about 20 mins, it turned a bit sour on my skin. Now that I think about it, all of the Mugler flankers I have tried have not matched the original in the original for me.

Edit: In the dry down, it gets sweeter and it's very pleasant. I still don't think I would purchase because it's still pretty boring to me but the sourness quickly faded.

spaceprophet

Much more delicate than the original Aura, but just as unique. Instead of the rich woody vanilla, there is more of a creamy floral quality. Both this and the original are distinctly green. The sweetness is toned down considerably with the addition of musk. Aura Sensuelle was my first Mugler perfume(a blind buy!) and I haven't looked back. The outstanding performance and uniqueness of Mugler has me hooked.

Starlight_moon

It's definitely a softer version of the original Aura, so if the original is too strong for your nose, I'd definitely recommend the Sensuelle version. I think it's because Rhubarb was taken out because in the original it's a predominant note (at least to my nose).
The longevity is so-so when on skin, maybe 3-4 hours max, but stays on the hair and clothes for the whole day though.
I think it's a nice fragrance, it's not cloying, non-offensive, just another flowery scent but you can still recognize the DNA of the original if you are familiar with it.

Veelovesparfumes

A typical and mediocre designer's fragrance, nothing special. In my opinion the worst form Mugler.

harrichar

Blind bought this (thanks TK Maxx!) and it’s decent - I’ll wear it, it’s pretty, but not the level of interesting/unusual I expected or hoped for from Mugler!

Aqualyra

Like being wrapped in a warm ruana of sexy milky gardenias with cinnamon peeking out from the background with a drydown similar to the original Aura EDP - one whole lotta vanilla and musk. This lasted for 2 days! My boyfriend loved it on me - he also loved the original EDP. Less intriguing, more romantic, and dare I say, domesticated than the wild woman original.

miriamcarothers

These are floating around on discounter sites and Marshall’s/TJMaxx for cheap right now. I could never jive with the original Aura but hoped this smooshed down creamy version might work.
I’m still unsure but will keep the (gorgeous!!) bottle anyway. It’s gonna sit next to my other weirdo scents like Andrea Maak “Coven” and Stephàne Humbert Lucas 777 “Khôl de Bahreïn” that I can tolerate only two or three days of the year and the weather is very specific, I’m in the mood etc.
I loved the comment from yesterday_borscht “This is the same Aura, but friendly to people from La vie est belle gang” because it’s the most accurate to my experience.
And yet I still in principle admire the less popular Mugler scents like Womanity. So I want to like this. It’s just so freaking hard! It’s a screamo sugar bomb- but a green herbal caramel milkshake? No that sounds like barf…It’s not bad. It’s just a lot. Of sugar.
It lasts forever which is a plus. Umm- the summer heat is def not ideal for this. So I will be trying it again if we ever have a another fall/winter that gets chilly. Apocalyptic fire tornadoes make me doubtful. What to do with all our cool weather scents?! 🙁
My husband said “you smell like a bunch of pixies hanging out in a wild strawberry bush in the forest.”
I’ll take it! Aura Sensuelle for the win! 🧚🏻♀️🧚🏼♂️🍓🧚🏼♂️🧚🏻♀️

Aura Sensuelle is very close to Aura EDP, closer than the notes list suggests. Vanilla and rhubarb are toned down by a lot, but they're still there as a part of the unmistakable Aura DNA which I'd summarize as 'eating custard in the jungle'. Very leafy and green, but also sweet and creamy and kind of reminiscent of woodruff flavored goodies. In Sensuelle, floral notes were added to make the scent softer and less punchy. I would not have guessed gardenia, but when you know it, it makes sense as a note. Like some plush, velvety white petals floating above all the green leaves. The cinnamon leaf note is also very subtle, I only detect it in because I know it's there. It's a nice little twist, but I wish these two notes were stronger to give the perfume more of a unique, distinct personality.

If you like Aura EDP, but find it a bit too much, too loud or too strange, Aura Sensuelle is a pretty safe bet and I would strongly recommend to try or get it now while it's still available for a good price. If you already have the original and you can pull it off, you don't really need this flanker. At least this is how I feel.
I have only tried the EDT in passing, but it seemed like a fruitier, fresher 'Aura light', while Sensuelle is the smooth, soft, flowery version.

AlaskanAngel

I don't get any green/midnotes at all. Just a sweet floral bordering on boring. Sad, I was expecting much more from this. I do agree that it is creamy and smooth, which is very important to me. It just feels kinda flat without anything to brighten it up, no green to freshen or citrus to round it out. The bottle looks so light and airy but this is a heavy, sweet scent with warm cinnamon blooming at it's base.

Maybe better in a cooler season? I'll update this fall.

P.S. I might be finding this scent unfairly underwhelming as I only recently discovered Mugler and was instantly in love with the first two I tried, Alien Extraordinaire and then the original Alien. I guess any fragrance would have a hard time following those steller performers, right?

hachipuppy

When I found out this fragrance was discontinued I knew I needed to rush and buy a bottle. Lets just say I do not regret purchasing one bit as it was love at first spray. It is such a beautiful creamy green floral; I feel so dainty and whimsical wearing it. Perfect mix of fairy and cottagecore vibes.
I hope Mugler brings this scent back soon.

windi450

Ya'll.... this is one of THE BEST perfumes I have ever owned.
This perfume smells like a beautiful garden that holds the fountain of youth.
It smells a bit fruity and floral. I don't really smell the vanilla that everyone is describing, but this smells AMAZING.

I was not trying to buy another Mugler perfume. I have Angel, which i ADORE, but I got Alien and I was immediately turned off by it. (Sold it immediately.) So, I kind of stayed away from Mugler perfumes after that, (which I shouldn't have).
But Aura sensuelle... definitely a safe blind buy. It is incredibly beautiful.

I sprayed it once in the air and its LINGERING. Mugler perfumes are usually really strong, so this is no surprise to me.
I can't get enough of this perfume. This is definitely my favorite Mugler perfume thus far, and I plan on exploring more!

Lalouve<3

This is a sweet green soft creamy floral that is a bit unoriginal for this perfume house and its price. In fact a ver y very close dupe that I find more interesting is the very affordable Oriflame eclat mon parfum.

Oriflame's perfume is slightly more creamy-powdery (probably because it has a bit more white floral notes in it). Other than that, a true dupe. Had this not been a blind buy, I wouldn't have bought aura since I own 2 of the eclat perfumes. If you like one, there's no way you won't like the other and vice versa.

ps>also the bottle is tacky, the supposedly silver parts on top are plastic painted a glossy silver and the bottle looks better in pictures than in real life*Ironically enough oriflame's eclat is in a nice elegant simple heavy glass bottle, with a small cute black bow on the neck of the bottle.Mugler, you disappoint with this one...

yesterday_borscht

This is the same Aura, but friendly to people from La vie est belle gang.

hannahlauren

This is absolutely gorgeous!! A safe blind-buy in my opinion.
Tried this on one wrist, with original Aura on the other to compare side by side.

While Aura is very deep herbal vanilla, Sensuelle is sweet green floral. However, I'm honestly shocked that vanilla and amber aren't officially in the notes, because I get way more sweet warmth in Sensuelle than I do Aura.
Just to be clear, Sensuelle doesn't have the strong vanilla note that Aura has, but it has a sweetness to it that is so beautiful.

I found Aura a bit challenging leading into the dry down (I think due to the bergamot mixed with coumarin? Coumarin reminds me of pipe tobacco.)
but Sensuelle was just 100% loveliness from start to finish.
If Aura is the enchanted forest, Sensuelle would be the fairies that live there! Still unique, but more gentle and pretty.

I absolutely love Aura Sensuelle, will need to get myself some back-up bottles before they disappear!!

SwatchQueen

I tried the OG Aura and thought it is very unique and sexy but there is a hint of something that I did not quite like. If I remember it has that medicinal syrup smell that reminds me of when I was sick or someone's sick. I thought maybe I would like the EDT version or this version. I blind bought this one and to my surprise, this is exactly all I wanted from the EDP. That headache-inducing smell is gone and this Sensuelle is perfect for me! Nothing complicated, just good smelling green perfume, sweet and sexy.

Longevity is crazy, I took a shower and it was still there. This is a beast perfume, do not over spray it! I am an over sprayer but I could not go heavy on this one.

This is my first Mugler and I am looking for more to discover.

neonaya

I like original Aura better. Sensuelle flanker is more vanilla and sweet, but also has specific component that sounds on me as dry dusty woody annoying note that I'd prefer not to smell. At the same time in rainy days this perfume sounds absolutely gorgeous. I finished my 2ml sample and won't buy full bottle.

Michelia Bloom

I was looking forward to the minty, soapy character I’ve read about here. This was a blind buy. With my chemistry, I find the powder is most present. Looking to swap.

fragrantkilljoy

I blind bought this because it was a limited edition and isn't available in stores anymore.

I really really love the Aura EDP, but it's a bit too strong for warmer weather I think. After testing the EDT and really liking it too I figured maybe the Sensuelle would be a nice fit for use during warm weather since the EDT and EDP are pretty similar and I wasn't sure if getting both would be wise.

Anyway... The opening of the sensuelle flanker is more flowery, soapy and way sweeter than the original and it doesn't have these strong, spicy green notes. It's more powdery and indeed pretty sweet, as others mentioned; not sickenly so but where the EDP had a rich, deep but subtle vanilla based sweetness to it this has more of that, almost generic, sirupy sweetness although it is also quite powdery at the same time. As I said it's also quite soapy, that settles a bit with the drydown but all in all, to me, it's kind of a flowery clean scent.

It does share the same Aura DNA, you get hints of greenness and that minty kind of vibe, but it's really really subtle.

The sillage is pretty much non existent after wearing it for ~30 minutes I don't think anyone will be able to notice it except if they really lean in. For me I got about 6 hours of wear, as a skin scent, out of it and that's also quite disappointing.
On its own that maybe wouldn't even be that bad but seeing as the EDP is a powerhouse and the EDT at least packs a punch... This just doesn't have the same strength.

All in all I kinda wish I had gotten the EDT instead. This one's a nice fragrance all in all (and I hope it has more staying power for others) but not more than that and it's really fleeting, too soft, too flowery, too generic, a tad too sweet and especially too soapy.

peonyblue

I blind-bought this after seeing someone else talk about it, and I have to say: it was love at first sniff. I'd forgotten all the notes before the bottle finally arrived, but from the first spray, I was hooked... and usually, these aren't notes I'd go for. I don't get much cinnamon, but I do get kind of a sweet powdery note, which I'm assuming is the gardenia. Later, it goes almost completely amber/musky on my skin, with none of the soapiness that sandalwood usually gives me. (My skin chemistry haaaates sandalwood. I almost always smell like straight Dial soap. Not so, here.)

I almost wish I bought a bigger bottle, and this may unseat Nova as my favorite Mugler.

mariaakanbi

I prefer this over the original but... it must be said that the feelings they evoke are very different.
This makes me FEEL sensual and adorable and like a princess... It's comforting in its sweetness. It's reassuring and it definitely relaxes you in an intimate way. Where as Aura is more commanding and leading, taking charge even, Aura Sensuelle is their younger sibling who has all the time in the world to lounge about and feel good about themselves.

I'm quite surprised at how much I like it, though I think I underestimate just how sugary my own personality is.

I'd recommend this to people of all ages who love something sugary and provocative that has a certain level of power to it. You CANNOT walk into a room and shrink with this on - you'll either seem insincere of coy - because this was made for you to stand out and have sensuelle eyes from the get go. It truly is quite rare in how it is so well blended. The animalic accord is fairly hidden behind all powder and white florals but it's there... laying like a leopard. Basking in its own loveliness.

Though, it seems like all Mugler fragrances have a certain level of power to it.

My only regret is that it doesn't come in 100ml

oncebitten

I actually picked this up before the original Aura, so in terms of how the flanker performs vs. the original, I don't have anything to compare it against. On me, this is a beautiful, slightly soapy, slightly minty, creamy floral. I probably shouldn't admit this but I never understand color designations for fragrances - this one is blue, that one's green, this one's yellow. I suppose I'm to take this to mean that it smells fresh, like springtime, in which case I can totally smell this. I like it quite a lot, but it's pretty strong, so I could see it being a little overwhelming in close spaces. Would be most appropriate for a brunch or picnic or a garden party, where the heady florals can breathe a bit.

Veronika95

I'm so happy I've finally decided to buy this. I love original Aura very much, but it gives me very strong headache. I still used one and a half of 50ml bottles, so you can imagine how much I like it. But eventually I had to stop wearing it. So I bought this, with hope it will replace it without the pain 😁 and to be completely honest, I think Aura sensuelle is even better than the original. It's nowhere near as strong, but in this case it's probably a good thing, but people will still smell you and that's great. I have to buy a back up, maybe two. I honestly don't think this is going to be around for much longer. The price is already pretty low and I'm not even sure Mugler still produces it. Time to stock up 😁
It's just super pleasant, green watery mint, with a hint of sweetness, feminine and original perfume. Much more feminine than the classic Aura. Perfect for a spring time 💚 I'm very happy with this blindbuy.

mirenaf

I like it very, very, very much! Creamy gardenia, a fairy tale. I am very pleased. The original is too sharp, although I have great respect for the courage to release such an unconventional fragrance. However, I like this version much more - soft, gentle and at the same time carries the DNA of the original. Wonderful perfume, wonderful performance.

aspirina

I smell tuberose and gardenia, even though tuberose is not listed in the notes pyramid. This scent is very wearable and pretty if you like white flowers. It reminds me of an older Bath and Body works scent called Velvet tuberose.
Longevity not so great maybe 2-3 hours on my skin, projection is also moderate, not loud not a skin scent.
The bottle is beautiful, pearlized with iridescent effect. Compared to Aura this is the prettier, softer, nicer sister.

tempbee123

Sickeningly sweet vanilla smell. Only smelled what I sprayed on paper and it was intense. Kinda cucumber-vanilla-y. I love original Aura but Sensuelle might not be for me. Will still try to spray in on my skin to see if it won't grow on me.

reborn

i like Aura edp,i hate Aura edt and I LOVE this one.The best from three. It is very similar to edp,but without the earthy note and also the BO note that edp gives me.Tomorrow i am buying it!

louiee

This is much more everyday, creamy and softer than the original.
I love the original and I love this one.
Creamy gardenia and no medical notes in this one.
Green, sandalwood and musky.

Great projektion and longevity. Glad I have both of them.

Vibi

I tried this by a chance when I got a sample from Notino. I am a Mugler girl, so I wanted to give it a chance. And in an unexpected way since I usually don't gravitate towards green scents this is a LOVE! It is delicious, musky vanilla and blooming gardenia with some (santal) woody notes. It's like lying a garden surrounded by a gentle vanilla smell. 😄 I know it sounds crazy but that's how it makes me feel, it's so unique.

P.S. The drydown very much reminds me of Rasasi La Yuqawam Jasmine Wisp which I adore, JW however has rather sharp opening similar to Lancôme Trésor Midnight Rose which I hate. 😄

iurhaiush

Bought this even though I wanted the original Aura, because I found this for very cheap, and I had read that the two Auras were very similar. Well, not to my nose they're not! I'm wearing Sensuelle today for the first time, and it's all about the vanilla, with some sweetness, like benzoin. It reminds me very much of something else, Black Opium? (for the record, I'm not a fan of Black Opium at all.) There's nothing herbal, green, or medicinal here. It is very potent and long lasting. In all, this is not bad, but I think I might be shelling out for the original after all, it is the more interesting offering.

wquila

Too similar with the original Aura Mugler minus the medicinal part. That’s all the difference there is. If you love the original Aura, don’t get this. Aura Sensuelle is just the less interesting sister who dresses better. Stick to Aura if already love that.

lorihollie

Love both Aura and Aura Sensuelle. However if you own the original Aura you don't need this. I have both and it does feel a little bit unnecessary. Aura Sensuelle is a more mellow, calmer version of Aura with less of the minty note and more white floral notes.

EmmaKirstine

I love this just a bit more, than I love the original. But the thing is, the lasting power could be a bit better with this one. I don't know, if I have just been spoiled by the original Aura, that has a major lasting power on me. But this seems a bit weak for an EDP. If this had been a EDT, I would be okay with it.

The scent is great. If you have smelled the original and found it a bit too strong, this might be for you. This has a lot of the Aura DNA, but it has a lighter freshnes, that opens up a bit sharp, without being citrusy. It seems better for the warmer weather, where the original is great for colder days and rain.

I like, that this scent is a bit odd to some. This is not a crowd pleaser, this a unique scent. That also means, that I have not smelled any of the Aura scents on other people around me, so I can have this as a signature scent completely to myself. That is a big win to me.

Also; this might suit younger Aura fans better, where as the original are more mature; in my opinion better for the 25+ crowd, even though this is not in any way a teenage pleaser. It is too different, but in a good way. This might be better received in an office setting than the original.

thazinha30

Received a generous sample of this fragrance today and to start, at first spritz I smell Dior Sauvage for men (for like 5 seconds), yeah, call me crazy, I’m ok with that. Then it’s a green, fresh sunny day trying to break through a billow of creamy vanilla clouds... i wish there was more of the green freshness then the sweet sweet vanilla which is not listed. Whatever that note is, it reminds me of a desert tray from an Italian restaurant. I like the spicy note of the cinnamon leaf! I sprayed this about 3 hours ago and it’s still pretty strong, however it’s all sweetness, like, I’m craving caramel filled milk chocolate kinda sweetness! Not comparing this to milk chocolate, I’m just trying to fully express how i felt about the scent and right now, smelling my arm, I want chocolate!! Back to Aura Sensuelle, it’s a pretty scent, it stays fresher and greener (almost lime-y) on clothes and my hair but on my skin like I said, it’s all very sirupy and sweet. I do like it though and will use it sparingly as to not suffocate myself in milky, creamy vanilla clouds. Will update on longevity but so far this feels like it has great sillage. I Also think I would like it better in the winter!?!!
UPDATE: I have been craving this scent so much, been wearing it every day now simply because I adore it, and now that the weather cooled off a bit, it stays green/fresh longer and the drydown is a beautiful mix of warmth and comfort due to the praline I think! Love it and after my sample is done I might get a fb! Longevity is super by the way! I can sniff it all day as I move around and every time this hits my nose again and again, I feel happy :)

sonamincult

I do like the original Aura, but unfortunately, it is not suitable for the office or for the theatre, classical music concerts. I didn't know when to spray it. Recently I bought this version. When I tested it at the store, I understand, that I was waiting for this version. It is sweet and green, but very delicate, perfect for hot summer but still different. Also, the notes of vanilla are noticeable, despite the fact, that it doesn't exist in the description.

If you like the original Aura, I recommend you to test it, if you dislike it, again I recommend you to try it.

hollymichaelm

I like this fragrance a lot. it's unique, yet friendly and approachable. Definitely flirty - I would wear this one to the club. Awesome sillage, smells amazing.

This perfume has a really interesting life and goes through distinct stages on your skin. The opening is vanilla, fruity - almost tropical. Within half an hour, it's very green and natural smelling, fresh greenery. Completely blows my mind because it does a 180 turn. During the complete dry down you get a wonderful combination of both with warmth.

It's interesting and unique but friendly and approachable. I would wear this if I was in the mood to be approached by people. This is what I imagine fairies to smell like. Also - although this is sweet and friendly, I think it's suitable for all ages.

A great fragrance - love it.

gothicwitch

"Sensuelle" is definitely the most appropriate label for this fragrance. It's sexy without even the slightest hint of vulgarity, seductive yet soft; the scent wraps itself around your skin like a thin cashmere veil. And of course, in true Mugler fashion, it still maintains that uniqueness that makes it stand out from all the other fragrances that might fall into the same category.
The smell is true to its ingredients - it's powdery-green, and the cinnamon adds just the slightest touch of gourmand to really feminise the overall composition.

Innocent

Has anyone else opened up the top and realise that the nozzle cap is a screw top like other refillables from Mugler? Perhaps there is a possibility to refill this in the future?

If you have both Aura and Aura Sensuelle in the same size you can also switch the tops for a touch of originality. This just me being silly.

codymarieb

This was a blind buy and I am SO happy I did.

It's a fresh, green fragrance but with a soft, sweet, woody side and I pick up on vanilla even though there's no vanilla notes in the fragrance itself.

Compared to the original Aura, this one is sweeter, softer, non-offensive, and difficult to dislike, where the original Aura has just as many people hating as loving it.

If you're debating between the three (EDP, EDT, and eau Sensuelle), or are blind buying, this one is your safest bet.

I'll be wearing this one alot during the summer. It's actually really beautiful.

It does have that unique, other-worldly vibe, but at the same time it's so flattering and likeable.

I love it - and the bottle is gorgeous.

*EDIT*

I actually wore this today for the first time and on my skin, the scent became almost too sweet for me. I love how it smells on paper and on the atomizer - but on me it becomes like a dish soap bubble gum, and it almost gives me a headache. As it sits, I'm currently on the fence.

Trotsky

I agree with those who describe this as Aura's younger, gentler sister. It's so genteel, in fact, that it's almost non-Muglerish.

It's also very, very, pretty, and it's hard to imagine anyone really disliking it. It's less punchy than Aura, and less quirky too, which I guess is good or bad, depending on what you prefer.

I personally like the oomph and greenness of Aura better (I ADORE Aura!) but I do look forward to trying Aura Sensuelle in very hot weather. I think its lightness, brightness and soft spiciness will make it a perfect high summer fragrance.

dglightblue

Skin test, humid summer, cooler day.

The opening is rounded aloe green with white florals back up, it has clean musk in there... it goes a bit sweeter and slightly powdery on the edges, a few hours in and it’s starts going a bit honeyed.

I don’t think it’s too similar to the other two scent sin the line.
Yeah now I’m getting a slightly powdery honey with the rest of the notes back up. Nit terribly sweet though mind.

dglightblue

octobertragedy

I might prefer this to the original. I think it's a matter of mood. I really love Sensuelle's opening, which is minty-er, more floral, fizzy and green. It literally gave me the pleasant cold shivers when I sprayed it on my hand. Nice, enjoyable kind of feeling.
I've tested only samples of this and the original and debating which one to get. Sensuelle would make a perfect summer scent, so I think I will get a full size of it.
After it settles, the resemblance to the original becomes more obvious, though I find Sensuelle muskier, safer and more wearable, without the raw, wild, animalic vibe of its sister. I consider the original deep and mysterious. This flanker carries more sunshine and sparkle.
Both share great longevity and good projection.
Even though the top notes are not similar, the drydown shares a lot in common with the original, so I don't think I need both.

Aqualyra

I really enjoyed this though not as much as the EDT. A sexy floral woody mix of gardenia, sandalwood and musk - what's not to like? Great longevity. Still hanging lightly on my wrist after 2 days.

karlee79

this is just awful, it has no depth and just patchy mess , to linear , sorry but no and no, watered down lolita dupe

Aura MUGLER EDP Sensuelle

First facet, a spicy floral flourish. Rich and intriguing, almost intoxicating. The gardenia is velvety and lush. The cinnamon leaf supplies a bit of warm spice.

Middle facet, The Green and The Herbal. The herbs are just past their full power, noticeable but less fresh and more poignant. Heady and a bit intoxicating. I don't perceive the medicinal herb present in the EDP and EDT.

Final Facet, a touch of musk and sandalwood. Soft, sensual and beguiling Sandalwood. As a sandalwood freak/addict, this is my favorite facet.

Sillage is good. Another person will be fairly close to you to enjoy the scent, perhaps leaning in.
Longevity is moderate. The dry down lasts about 7-8 hours. I find the sandalwood remains on my clothes much longer.

It is early evening in late summer. The sun is low and warm yellow in the sky. I decide to walk after dinner, wandering no where in particular. The blossoms and herbs release their heady and rich scents leading me onwards. I realize I am in my favorite grove of fragrant trees. It is lit by fireflies. This is where I have met my beloved many times before. Will they appear tonight?

This time the heart shaped bottle is colored in an opal patina. Pale green and pink shimmers in the light. The spray cap is a crystal pastel yellow green.

Aura MUGLER EDP Sensuelle is my favorite of the Auras.

aldinatic

fresh, sweet, soft, powdery, caress you , sleepy, seducing... but fades away fast ...

missk

The original Aura EDP is unique, quirky and often loud. I enjoyed smelling the original Aura, however, I couldn't wear it for long periods. Aura Eau de Parfum Sensuelle is perfectly balanced to my nose and is my favourite Aura flanker to date.

Aura Eau de Parfum Sensuelle is a much softer and a less harsh take on the original. It smells almost fresh and 'fizzy' to my nose, like the scent of a Lifesavers hard candy. You could class it as a gourmand-floral, as it has an 'edible' kind of an aroma.

The composition is not overly complex. A note of creamy, milky gardenia has replaced the zesty orange blossom from the original. Smooth sandalwood, foody cinnamon and white musk shine through in the drydown. There's a hint of minty-green freshness throughout this composition, which smells slightly reminiscent of organic toothpaste.

Of all the Mugler line, Aura Eau de Parfum Sensuelle is one of the easier fragrances to wear. Despite its strong projection, I find this flanker a lot easier to fathom and the composition a lot less quirky than the original Aura. If I were to chose between the two, I would definitely choose Aura Eau de Parfum Sensuelle.

I need to test this fragrance more over the coming months and being in the midst of Summer will help determine whether or not Aura Eau de Parfum Sensuelle can withstand the warmer months. I am hopeful that I will eventually own a bottle of this unique fragrance.

auroramaria

Still very similar to the original but a little sweeter,it is a strong scent which I expected to be more delicate even though I like it a lot especially the sweet musky base, good sillage and longevity

sweet2mechii

Aura Sensuelle is a LESS OFFENSIVE form of the original Aura. It's like an upgraded version. Amazing, strong, long-lasting, intoxicating. Different but not unlikeable. And that beautiful bottle. Ugh amen.

Cathped

Very like the original Aura. A tad sweeter, but the drydown a couple of hours later is pretty similar. Not even in this sensual form I like it...

LadyIva

Idk, the lists of notes are quite different, and yet this Aura Sensuelle smells almost identical to the original Aura in the emerald bottle. It's still a very weird green gourmand, with loads of vanilla and cinnamon on the one hand, and some piercingly fresh notes that remind me of a pharmacy, or a dentist's office on the other hand. The addition of gardenia makes this one slightly more tolerable than the pillar Aura, and yet I believe that if you want to love this one, you must love the original first. For me, it's a pass.

Aroma babe

I am wearing this right now and keep sniffing my collar on my top. I get a lot of vanilla it’s really sweet on me and like another reviewer mentioned it packs more of a punch in warmer weather. I’m not too good defining scents but I may be the only one yet to find it very familiar to Paco Rabanne Olympea which I love. I think you’ll also like this one if you like Viva La Juicy Gold Couture, they both are very similar in the sweetness part of this scent. It last probably about 1/2 the day which isn’t bad at all. I’m a huge collector of Mugler perfumes this is by far the prettiest bottle I own. I have to agree with another reviewer about the smell although it’s nothing out of this world it is a really wearable one but also can be forgettable. For me it was a blind buy I was really happy with my purchase I think the bottle made it more of a keeper For me. I probably would have contemplated a return if it wasn’t for how beautiful the bottle is and that’s only because I have two other perfumes on my vanity that smell really similar.

gelkita

I wasn’t into musk fragrance until I fell in love with the white Narciso Rodriguez and Aura Eau Sensuelle... always happy to broaden my horizon 😊

I first fell in love with Aura Sensuelle but kept debating the purchase as unfortunately it doesn’t last long on me (half the day I’d say) however it started to disappear from perfume shop shelves so I splurged on a 50 ml (no more 30 ml available) and I am so glad I did, even the 50 ml is easy to snug in a medium handbag so I can reapply whenever I want and I still enjoy it after 2 weeks of intense use so now I am even considering a back up !

For info in case you are wondering, I am afraid I hate the original Aura ... so don’t let your thoughts on original Aura stop you from testing the Eau Sensuelle flanker 😉

EDIT FEB 2020 : I did buy a back up ! Nice easy daytime / office wear like Narciso from Narciso Rodriguez (cream bottle) and Pure Poison in my collection. And I am keeping these 3 even after my drastic declutering.

Jacklyn's Perfumery

Aura Sensuelle is the gentle sister of Aura Edp and closely resembles it but there is a difference in it and this one is a fresher twist on the gardenia note mixed with the vanilla and cinnamon spices, but without the Rhubarb. Strangely enough it does smell familiar to the original. To me it's different enough to own and the bottle is so impressive in person. Aura is a strong fragrance so you must love the original and you must also love green gourmands. While this one is lighter it still packs a punch compared to most mainstream fragrances so the quality is there and it lasts 4-6 hours and up until the next day on clothes and the sillage is really good no doubt. I don't know if this is coming to America but I was able to get it early as a collector. This is definitely a floral spring time fragrance. This comes in 1oz & 1.7oz bottles. Aura Sensuelle is so much easier to wear than the original but it's different enough to own. If you want something stronger go for the original EDP..if you want something fruitier go for the EDT but if you want something white floral go for this!

Kaleidosaur

It has some of that Aura vibe, but it's like they made a mainstream version of it. More accessible, less unique. It smells nice but I wouldn't buy it. The bottle is really beautiful though!

Gourmandlover

Oh I really like this! Today I had the opportunity to smell it for the first time, I was really curious about it. My first impression after I just sprayed it, was: bananas!! It smells like bananas! About ten minutes later it gives me a little less of that lovely first impression, by then it's starting to smell more like aura edp which I also like, but has that really strong green/sweet/woodsy smell, which I have to be in the mood for to appreciate it. This does resemble it enough to be recognized as an aura flanker, but I think this one is easier to appreciate. It's less dense, but retains that lovely weird aura smell :). Will have to update in longevity, but for now I guess it will fall in the moderate category, which is perfectly fine by me. As long as I can smell it on myself during the day, I'm happy.

Wilczyca

Even when there is no vanilla listed this one evolves into something very sweet, not sure what is responsible for that effect. The bottle suits the juice inside well. It is lighter, sweeter "easier" Aura with some gardenia accord. For me it opens kinda green/fresh, resembling the dark green mother. In the middle the slightly soapy gardenia shows up and something vaguely cinnamon-ish, thought I never smelled this kind of leaf before, so I might be wrong. This phase stays for a bit and then dissapears into very sweet drydown. I can feel some delicate musc. Very feminine, creamy. It irrirates me that I could only find 50 ml bottle in my country, I would prefer standard 90 ml. The bottle itself is very cute. Unless you hate sweets and white florals, this one seems like safe pick that won't offend many people. I prefer weirder OG Aura but I don't mind having this one, it is quite pleasant. Lasting power comparable to regular Aura, which is very good but not as good as Alien or Angel.

Update after a year:
I am really sorry to write this. I wanted to love it. But. This perfume really tired me after a while of using, to the point that I had to hide it deep in the shelf. My initial review was positive yet after a while of daily wearing this scent really, really exhausted my nose. Something about it is irritating. It feels too sweet, to one-dimensional, too biting at the same time. I tried to wear it a few more days but finally I gave up and exchanged it for a... Darth Vader shaped tea cup with my friend (ohwell). She loves it far more than I do.

Venusta

I literally can't stand the vanilla green minty toothpaste smell of Aura so I was shook to the core to discover that this flanker is amazing. What I smell is a fresh creamy gardenia sprinkled with "watery" green notes and a tad of sandalwood. I also smell a fresh vanilla base but it's not listed.

Creamy. Fresh. Sensual. Addicting. This beauty will be mine soon!

I was shopping for another perfume yesterday and I got into a conversation with the sales lady about perfumes and their different notes and that kind of stuff. She showed me this one, and said it arrived in store only a week ago and she recommended me to try it. She said it had a cinnamon leaf note in it and I got very curious about it. She sprayed some on a tester strip for me, and I was actually blown away! I did not expect it to be that good!! To me, on paper, it smelled something like Marc Jacobs Divine Decadence and Narciso Rodriguez Narciso, with a tiny hint of Cacharel Lou Lou?? Sounds weird maybe but that's the immediate thing that came to my mind. Anyways, she gave me a tester to bring home and I tried it on my skin, and I absolutely love it. And of course it smells a bit different on skin versus on paper. It must have some notes not listed in the pyramid. I think you can use this in daytime for sure, and the name fits well! It will for sure give you a tender, feminine, warm, sensual aura.. Try it if you have the chance! And don't let the original deter you from doing so!

Parfuwoman

This arrived in the mail 3 weeks ago. I blind bought it because where I live it won’t be available and I didn’t want to wait long to be able to test it . I’m a huge fan of Mugler fragrances especially Aura is my gem 💎 so I knew I wouldn’t be too disappointed. And I was right about that. First of all let me quickly say how beautiful and eye candy the bottle and the box are. The shape the colors...
The scent itself is not as groundbreaking and special as the original but still great. In the beginning it starts off creamy, vanillic and spiced with cinnamon . Not too much but sweet and carries that special Mugler signature aroma that I love so much. In about an hour it reveals its connection to Aura but still it ‘s not as jungle like ,green and sexy as the original. Aura I love the most on dressing up summer occasions but still wear it throughout the year, because it always reveals another side of it.
Aura sensuelle I would recommend for those who like the original but find it too much. I will be really enjoying this flanker.
Longevity is around 7-8 hours on my skin,Sillage is strong in the beginning but fades a bit in 2-3 hours. Do give this a try it ‘s a really nice perfume.

I'm one of the people who never could really pull off the original Aura. No matter if I just sprayed it or rubbed it in how many suggest, on me the original Aura would always developed a particular quality somewhere in between medicinal and akin to some jelly based candy from my childhood (I never could quite put my finger on which though). In short, even though super unique and interesting, me and Aura to my chagrin just never worked out.

Anyway, strongly attracted by this stunner of a bottle and after trying Eau Sensuelle a few times in the store I finally could carry an Aura bottle home (even if a flanker) knowing I'd be at least able to wear it, and I'm so happy!

Eau Sensuelle is perfect for the heat. It's tropical green with a bright white floral boost and an underlying vanilla vibe that doesn't take away at all from the tropical feel. It's summer vanilla done right!

Though very present all throughout the day, to me it doesn't really have a perfum-y vibe, but is more like a heavily scented summer lotion (without being overbearing though).

Just like Aura, Eau Sensuelle too gives me a weird nostalgic 80s feeling and again I cannot really put my finger on it. Suffice to say it instantly makes me feel summery, up beat and comfortably nostalgic at the same time.

It's a (for Mugler) surprisingly easy every day pick for the height of summer and as I live in a hot tropical country, it's a strong contender for eventual purchase of a big bottle for me.

Rose du soir

Sprayed on a card, Aura Sensuelle seems like a softer, tamer Aura. But don't underestimate its potency on skin. It should have been called Aura Eau Sucrée : less polarizing, but twice as sweet, and the original was very sweet already. What Sensuelle lost in aromatic sharpness was gained in sweetness that feels almost equally sharp. More floral, it also has a strong balmy note, and tries to be gourmand, although I wouldn't call it edible at all. It's a version of Aura meant for Angel fans and people who like gourmands. As for me, to be honest, it's a little bit too sweet for me, and I haven't found in it the aromatic oriental accord that I love so much in the original Aura. But I'm also happy that there is a flanker for people who can't wear the original Aura, allowing them to experience some of the beauty of this fragrance.

secretsweets

I wanted it ......I been searching the net and it not in the USA yet but it is overseas

FumeL'ver

Yeah, I'm also wondering where to get it. Wasn't this just released not too long ago? Or was it even officially released? I don't like the original Aura but I'm super interested in getting a big bottle of this because of the gardenia note!

lmwimsatt

Where do you find this? All of the stores near me dont even carry the regular auras anymore! They have a ton of angels and aliens though. What gives?

Annjo

I had the most surprising experience with this scent : I tested it and liked it, found it fairly similar to Aura (original) but lighter. But at the end of the day when I took my shower and the warm water touched my skin, I had a really strong reminiscence, a 'déjà-vu' perfume-wise, but I was unable to put a name on it. So today I went to the store in order to re-test it again and now I know : warmed up (with hot water I don't know about the reaction in really hot weather), this scent reminds me of Kenzo Amour so strongly!!! So it's funny that we don't tend to really smell the vanilla in this one, but I am telling you : when warmed up, the vanilla is there!

justchillinxo

This is the most wearable one from the EDP and the EDT. It's the sweetest too.

Kb1993 , fragrantica doesn’t list all the notes ,this does have vanilla ,it is a very vanillic sensual soft creamy fragrance. It smells very much similar but softer to the original aura. The orig is greener and has more punch ,perfect for nighttime. This one is daytime soft green vanilla woody ,,,,gorgeous fragrance. My husband loves both because of the strong vanilla notes and freshness at the same time. This is basically missing the sour note and half of the green aspect ,a bit of sweetness added as well as a soft cinnamon spice and some sandalwood for a creamy musky and balsamic affect. Stunning !

Kb1993

I don't see how this is a oriental vanilla with no vanilla note and if it is a oriental vanilla it must be completely different from the original.

genny17

I have been wearing Aura Sensuelle for a couple days now, I truly believe the edp is a great unique creation, but it isn't me, Sensuelle still has the medicinal undertone, to a lesser degree, with musk and florals smoothing the green vibe...still, the green note dominates throughout, the scent is overall softer, longevity not great, but it lingers in a nice way..i don't find for me that I don’t reach for it lots, but the drydown is smooth and sweet, I like it a lot.....I don't detect the cinnamon or the sandalwood, although it has a bit of a spicy kick in the top notes..Sensuelle Is overall easier to wear, still has the character of the edp, in a diluted way...i don't find it sensuous though, it doesn't have the punch edp has..it is pleasant, well done, but not that different from the original, This is basically a toned down version..so far I like it.

Albiretu

Finally tried this today, I have been intrigued by this release for so long, and perhaps the fact that the page was not up on Fragrantica for so long added so much mystery to this... I previously owned Aura, which I think is a great perfume, but unfortunately I had to part ways with it because I overused it while being sick and it now nauseates me.
Now, musk and sandalwood is my all time favorite combination, I absolutely adore it, and reading that this had this combo in it made me so hopeful...
Unfortunately, I am not impressed about this release at all. I find it 95% identical to Aura EDP, maybe a tiny bit creamier. Lasting power is good on me, but I truly don't find this version any different from the original, almost a pure dupe.
The bottle, however, is absolutely gorgeous. If you own the EDP or EDT, unless you absolutely love the fragrance so much to buy all the flankers, I would not bother.
This release is somehow reminiscent of Scandal A Paris, also a very hyped and anticipated flanker that smells almost identical to its two predecessors.

SpookyCrockpot

Well, I bought this Aura Sensuelle. And after a day or so of testing it, took it back. I like the fragrance, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't last at all on my skin. I put it on, and literally not even 20 mins later it was gone, barely there. So I took it back and switched it for the original Aura EDP. That one performs in beast mode!

Sailor Pluto

To me, this is a hybrid between the EPD and the EDT. It has a little sweetness, which reminds me of the EDP, and has the cat pee accord of the EDT. It is more wearable than the EDT to me, less sharp. But it is missing the beautiful vanilla of the EDP. I would say that it's nice, but not as exciting as the bottle makes it look! (The bottle looks better in pictures than in person I find.. the opalescence in person is a bit muted and frosted)

masako_30

@HoneyBee it's so hard to me to say if Aura Sensuelle is better than Aura, I like both of them; personally, I believe I'll prefer a little bit this one simply because it has a less marked character.
Although Aura is splendid, and it's always a pleasure to wear it at night as I do, Aura Sensuelle is more in my taste as suffused, graceful scents, more like an everyday fragrance if this makes sense.
In any case I promised myself to retest it properly as soon as it arrives at the mall before buying..

lmwimsatt

Wow. Beautiful opalescent bottle!

lmwimsatt

Yes! Something to look forward to trying!

This is exceptional ! Instant love at first sniff ! Wearing this for the past 5 days now and can’t get myself to wear anything else. Looks like a new signature is about to happen ....
The new Aura sensuelle is indeed very sensual ,warm, creamy and “white”“smelling but remaining a slight green character ,It is musky ,fresh and has a very warm , balsamic feel to it. I love the carnal aspect of the gardenia and the tiger liana molecule they used in here. The cinnamon leaves are amazing ,giving the fragrance a slight kick of spiciness and gourmand character. Very sexy and soft ,white ,clean ,irresistible with its gourmand sweetness. The sandalwood with the musk combined is a complete winner . The bottle looks amazing ,iridescent and unique. This is my favourite Aura for sure. It’s the most likeable out of the all , the EDP being the most unique , Edt the most green and fresh and sensuelle definitely the sexiest of the 3 sisters. You can see a resemblance and you do know right away it belongs to the Aura family , again in a warmer more sensual ,likeable way. 10 /10
Husband loves it. And he is a picky man. He said it reminds him of a “modern poison” not sure if I agree but there is something that does remind me of the orig poison , maybe it’s the cinnamon and sandalwood ,vanilla and musk combo that they share as well as the white flowers. He also calls it exotic !
This is so easy on the nose , so likeable and perfect.
Will get a small one for purse as well. However it does seem long lasting.

DarlingNikki

Can it be? A Mugler scent that I am desperate to have (or at least, smell LOL)! That bottle, those notes... Please come through with samples someone--anyone!

Such a pleasure finally read about Aura EDP Sensuelle.
It's a really wonderful scent.
Subtle, airy but beautiful!!
Aura is recognized in the background, but I find it very airy, it smells like bamboo, jonquil or ephemeral daffodil.
Delicate and ethereal at my nose.
In my opinion, rather than in a rainforest, as Aura has accustomed me, I find myself at edge of a cane field.
Under my radar for sure too!!

Ps: I don't know why, but I didn't feel any vanilla when I tried it the other day ... my skin is strange as it's classified as oriental vanilla; to my nose it is rather aquatic instead ...
I am curious about your opinions.
