oh God this is NOT a safe blind buy. at first, i didn't even like it , because it is so heavy on amber, patchouli and resin ... and u was scared of the intensity of the cardamon and clove as the opening notes. it was truly intoxicating for me. but something interesting happened. this is where the quality of this perfume really sits. the ingredients blend together so well and harmonize, that what us left after few minutes of applying this perfume is a strong oriental spicy perfume. it is warm , a bit masculine, spiiiicyyyyyy and demands respect. i imagine wearing this perfume with a black suit or black dress. not for summer , not for the faint hearted, but for sophisticated tastes.
so , from someone who didnt like this AT ALL , to someone who gave this perfume a 2nd chance and didn't regret it at all.

This is a lovely cosy amber fragrance, great for winter time. The spices at the start aren't to strong and it develops into gorgeous sweet amber. Great longevity and good sillage, well worth the price!

Loved the bottle the most and then the juice is just freaking good too. I got amazed with the presentation, price, and packing at first and then when I wore it. Wow! Simply a wow, well composed, well mixed, spicy amber scent that is warm and cozy. There are also some woody and boozy accords that are prominent and creamy with deliciousness, woodiness, and depth. The performance is superb! Compliment getter! Beautiful comforting scent!

Beautifully balanced amber.
Avon’s Amber Ardent (AAA) is an excellent well-rounded amber scent. It has just the right amount of sweetness, spiciness and warmth as any quality designer amber fragrance (look at the list of reminds of).
The first spray leans more on the masculine side; a bit sharp with cool spices (the bergamot, cardamom and pepper), but is very transient (10-15 minutes). A very smooth and warm amber accord soon unfolds. This part leans more feminine and lasts for the remaining life of the perfume (3-4 hours, I would have loved a longer duration for sure, but given the great value I honestly don’t mind at all). The amber is very silky and smooth (probably due to the orris), has an airiness to it (the jasmine and datura), but is so resinous and balmy (the benzoin, & I love this aspect). AAA is also warmly spicy (I get mostly a mild cinnamon and maybe some clove). I cannot sense patchouli, I could have guessed sandalwood instead as the base is so smooth and warm with no earthiness.
AAA is a great, cozy, cuddly amber for autumn and winter, very warming and inviting and a bit intriguing. Love 💗

A big love for me. A night time delight. Long lasting with an average sillage. Classy.

Very spicy and more "masculine" at first, then that recedes a bit and the florals come forward, making it unisex or slightly "feminine." Not too sweet and lasts well, but the base notes are not especially strong. It reminds me of niche ten or more years ago, before it became mostly simple and "chemical" compositions. Well worth what I paid for my bottle!

This is beautiful scent. Happy I found it. Warm, spicy, sweet. It gives me no headache, thank god. Very nicely blended, the dry down is amazing. Very comforting scent.

i love amber as it is usually making fragrances warm and sensual, it is not a mono amber scent though, very nicely mixed with the jasmine which i can feel a lot and the cinnamon.
Also the bottle of this line is beautiful

Glorious!
Another great scent from Rodrigo

Scent: Amber ardent is a unisex fragrance that has a middle eastern/Indian/attar vibe. The benzoin makes the fragrance slightly sweet and balances out the prominent patchouli.

Positive: Props to Avon for coming out with something unique compared to their regular catalog. I love this fragrance, especially the dry down. I can't stop sniffing my wrist.

Negative: If you know a lot of people who wear attar, you'll smell like them. This reminds me of the perfumes my aunts and uncles wear in my culture. However, this is probably not the case for most people.

My thoughts:
This perfume is NOT a safe blind buy. I can see a lot of people finding it too masculine, as it is different from the typical warm/spicy amber fragrance. I highly recommend asking for a sample. The opening is sharp, but the dry down is lovely.

I'm glad that Avon has released a scent that deviates from the boring mainstream generic perfumes.
This perfume is great, I'm curious about the rest of this line!
This is a kinda ambery fragrance that is so strong on pepper and datura (which is not a usual note for sure) that they dominate the whole composition. I can hardly detect any of the other spices let alone jasmine or bergamot.
The performance is poor unfortunately, strong sillage that lasts for like 2 hours.

I’m getting fruity floral overtones with woody amber beneath. Powdery and kind of loud. It is a warm amber but the whole is a very perfume-y composition. After about an hour, it’s more like a piece of sun-warmed quality wood furniture, maybe made of sandalwood, which is much better, but that opening hour is very sharp and opinionated. For sure doesn't smell like any other Avon I've tried.

What a gem! Got it based on review by @Deetron, I couldn't add a word to this perfect description. Since I can't get a hand on Nicole Miller's Frenzy for quite some time now, decided that this one would have the same DNA and bring me similar emotions. And I was right. My man said he finds Ambre Ardent lovely but for women, his faves are Joop Homme and Joop Wow. But for me this perfect blend is definitely unisex, fragrances don't really have sex, it's all down to chemistry and mood.

I want to ask if is this available in the USA?

I bought Ambre Ardent by Avon on blind and I'm very happy with that purchase! The bottle, the composition, the nose behind it - Rodrigo Flores-Roux - I needed nothing more to pull the trigger.
I'm wearing it for 2 days and here are my thoughts.
At first I want to say, the quality of the box and the bottle are very good - nothing cheap, nothing basic. Kudos to Avon for putting efforts in that direction. Even the cap is done very well with nice design and details on it. When you see it in your hand you will understand it. Great presentation, especially for that affordable price!

Now for scent - wow! Just wow! If you love well composed, warm-spicy ambery scents - this is made for you!
I can write long review, but I want to keep simple and sharp so I'll point the key moments about Ambre Ardent:
* warm and softly put spices which makes you feel comfortable and cozy
* prominent boozy/woody accords - Imagine a beautiful glass of aged Cognac or Honey Bourbon - that's the smell of that boozy part - kind of creamy, delicious, woody and deep. This woody-boozy part gives great balance and depth to the scent.
* cozy benzoin, that makes you feel really good

I think Rodrigo Flores-Roux did really great job with Ambre Ardent! Super smooth and rounded blend, very wearable with own unique character. This creamy amber scent with bold boozy-honey accords is a hidden gem to me. Perfect warm scent for Christmas or cold winter evenings. Rodrigo Flores-Roux deserves praise for making such a wonderful cozy scent with care to small details.
My advice is - just test Ambre Ardent not thinking it is coming from Avon, it could be simple or just plain ordinary fragrance. Give it a chance and you'll see what a beautiful Amber scent it actually is.

Arpége by Avon! Okay, probably this is too much. As an lover of Arpége, I must say that this one, and Arpége have similar DNA. Of course that Arpége is luxury, rich, longlasting (round 18 hours) but this one has similar deep and smells really good and expensive. Its just Avon, but try it, i got compliments for this one

KarolaFragrance

From the two new releases: Oud Grandeur and Ambre Ardent, this is a much better and much more sophisticated one. It is sweet and spicy, quite unisex, opulent and well rounded, smells quite expensive, no typical Avon DNA in this one. The longevity is poor and you might need to overspray, but for the price I think this is an excellent choice for fall and winter.
