I've got this from my mom and this parfume smells kinda unique, It's definitely a memorable scent that has an artistic vibe to it, performance is not it's bright side especially considering suggestions to wear it at winter. I personally wear it in summer (night) and do around 7 sprays with it. My girlfriend loves this scent as well. I would suggest you to go for this hidden gem

An oud perfume that does not smell like oud. I'm not surprised, Ambre Ardent has got nothing to do with amber either.
The perfume itself is pleasant, soft, warming, a lovely lily-clove-vanilla combo, with pepper and nutmeg in the background. The sillage is not good, unfortunately, you have to spray half of the bottle on yourself in order to smell anything.

Pez_Enelrio

It smells like gucci oud but more rubbery and waxy. Pretty good for the price, fully unisex, lasting and intensity are OK

Absolutely gorgeous nutmeg-heavy fragrance. The nutmeg lasts hours! Really a wonderfully-blended, quality fragrance for a steal. I wish I'd bought a second bottle.

This is a lot like Donna Karan's Essence Wenge, but with Wenge, the nutmeg dissipates pretty quickly. I sprayed this around 4 hours ago and I still smell the nutmeg. Similar also to Black Cashmere, but lacks the bite from the carnation.

I love it! Just ordered another one, as I've lost the previous one (yes. You can lost a bottle of perfumes). This scent is very unique, very deep and surely unisexual. Very long lasting. One of my favorites.

Update: another bottle has just been opened a few hours before. Opening is like a some fresh herbal field, something between stinging nettles, mint and other fresh herbs. As if you would lie down and would be rolling on that field;) the mint is very noticeable and it stays;) some soapiness is noticable.

Drydown comes very fast (yes, i was also testing this on my bf, on him the drydown is even sooner:)) on both wrists it comes to so very, very warm, woody, oriental mood, incense like, very nice, deep, soothing and calming scent, with some accent i cannot really name (maybe that is this oud) - some warm spices, not a sweet perfume, surely unisexual. A scent somwhere in the background, very subtle, but still noticable.

A few hours later - i can still feel that grand smell! Must try! Highly Recommended!

Some more hours later - floral accents coming out, heavy Jasmine like, very deep scent coming out. I was born in 80s and has always wondered what is that smell??? Oud?

Oud in the morning next day is still very nice, nice wake up. For sure that is my wear for the next few days;)

It's extremely cheap for it's value and a friend of mine who knows my nose very well recommended it to me. I wasn't expecting anything that will blow my mind knowing that it's an Avoon fragrance. And it's not knocking my socks off yet it reminds me gently of Black Cashmere, especially when it settles down. I still don't understand why Donna Karan, or whoever who has made that decision, discontinued such a remarkable fragrance. When it comes to Oud Gardeneur I was hoping for a bit more peppery opening. I can't smell any pepper tho. It's sweet after the first spray and it becomes more woody and deep after 10 minutes. And it really smells then like someone has left a trail after Black Cashmere. It doesn't stay on my skin for longer than an hour. I will be wearing it on my scarf rather than on my skin. Maybe that will work better.

Greengrass

Really weak, I can smell alcohol on initial spray & a talcy sort of note with a whiff of smoke developing later. I get nothing much on the oud front - I do like it somehow, but it's very weak for an EDP & what I've been led to believe about oud.

As an introduction to oud, I wasn't sure if if I'd like it. But I do. I can't give the flattering description like those below but, I became pleasantly surprised. For me it took a few trials but projection is nice and it mellowed on my skin. I am also waiting till it's cooler, to see if it's better. It was a blind buy, just to get an oud scent, out of curiosity and it's successful. I tend to crave the scent at night and it lasts on sheets when sprayed and the faint whiff is lovely. So if you're interested in trying oud like I was its a nice beginner one which is well crafted.

Don't let the oud put you off!
It's glorious...not heavy, but perfect for everyday wear.
Another great scent from Roberto!

I have used this perfume twice. The first time I oversprayed, left the house in a hurry, and the smell of bonfire hung over me like a miasma all day. However, the longer I wore it, the more individual notes came through. By evening I could smell a hint of fragrant burning wood, cloves, black pepper. I've just sprayed it once now and I'm still getting visions of autumn, bonfires, clove studded oranges and spices.
I'm now getting the beautiful calia lily that I didn't smell the first time around and it's gorgeous! I'm reminded of the 1980's Obsession, Youth Dew for the smokiness and spices. The lily sets this one part.
I'm saving my bottle for Autumn/Winter as I feel the right season will do this fragrance justice.

A niche quality hidden gem. It smells very woody, warm, softly sweet and spicy. I really dislike oud in perfumes unless it is rendered nicely and not offensively. I like only tamed oud. Oud Grandeur is a lovable oriental, an oud for beginners or those who are like me and cant stand it in its intensity. This perfume is very strong on the lily note - big, white, fleshy, nocturnal and dramatic. The pepper gives a lot of fresh air, fresh spicy and uplifting qualities. The perfume never becomes too floral. Nutmeg is a lovely spice too, I love it in CK Secret Obsession. Then there is a lot of tamed clean oud and mature non candy vanilla. The overall impression is a wearable, sophisticated oriental. I'm a big fan. Smells feminine to me :) the perfect way to describe Oud Grandeur is - FILM NOIR. It gives that exact atmosphere.

I have the 50 ml bottle of this perfume.
It lasts around 6 hours with a medium intensity.
Yes it is true that it is a perfume that already has a very masculine aroma, I can tell you beforehand because the first application of the perfume what we are going to find is a woody aroma with all those very oriental touches of the spices that it accompany them, I find the first impression pleasant, because I remember a perfume from the Zara house that had cedar wood and a lot of black pepper that gave me such a slap on the face that it was impossible to use, however this perfume balances the notes very well , I imagine that it does it in the way in which between all these spices that we are going to find in the beginning and that woody tone, that although it comes in the background but we are going to feel it from the beginning, the wood is totally present , makes a set from that moment on it is masculine but to appease the slap of spices they soften it a little with that floral intensity, yes it is true that at first it gives me the impression that it could have some type It has a fresh aroma, slightly, because it is still moderate, but still to appease an output that could be especially intrusive due to an excessive amount of spices, however it is balanced in such a way that it is not unpleasant but you find an oud wood spiced by These output tones, the wood that we are going to find here is not animal but is more smoked, a smoked wood with notes of spices, we are advancing in the perfume and the truth is that you will not find even floral tones, nor the vanilla tones, within this set of a type of notes that what I think they do is like a kind of opposition barrier so that it is not intrusive, unpleasant, but that it is easy from the first moment to agree when we are progressing in the perfume there will be notes that will soften a little but the wood is not lost, the wood is still there and little by little although it softens, you will notice as if that wood were a a little more resinous and by letting yourself feel better with what is the part of amber which is precisely the part that will remain on the skin at skin level when this perfume begins to lose body, what we are going to find is a slightly amber wood flush with the skin.
I don't think it's a complicated oud wood perfume. I see it as an interesting perfume to get started in what oud wood is, logically if you are passionate about oud wood then it may fall short. But to start with this type of scent is fine.
As much as others say and comparing it with other avon perfumes (which do give the impression of more synthetics) the aroma feels much higher quality.
For me it is an inexpensive way to bring the creations of great perfumers to all budgets, who wants to throw away the work of an economic perfume that saves 200 dollars and spends it on something for their fine nose.

laurinja211

This is such a gem!
If only the longevity was better.

It starts out warm, buttery, I'm getting whiffs of something medicinal, almost anise-like, which contrasts the amber-oud base in such a lovely way.
*Think 1920's absinthe evening and dandies.*

Unfortunately it fades really quick, and though the drydown of spices and faint incense smoke is also more than pleasant, I wish the initial scent would linger a bit longer.

I own over 45 bottles of niche perfumes and many fall under the category of Oriental woody, oud, spicy fragrances. So when I read the Fragrantica article by Sergey Borisov on the new Avon launch of a niche line " Artistique Parfumiers " it immediately peaked my interest, especially with the offering of Oud grandeur by the perfumer Rodrigo Flores- Roux which I immediately bought with such high expectations. Honestly, I am lost for words as this has to be one of Avon's worst fragrance offerings I have had the displeasure to try. It is truly crap in a bottle! It smells cheap with absolutely no complexity, no projection, no sillage and absolutely no longevity. The fragrance is so weak, it's a nose to the skin scent as you can't hardly smell it even on yourself. This scent is a weak, fresh, and spicy oud that soon turns a bit smoky but never fully develops into anything else. Avon's " Premiere Luxe Oud " is a million times better and the price is pretty much the same. Do not waste your money on this chemical induced watered down junk!

My 3 P's
- Price 0/10
- Projection 0/10
- Performance 0/10

This one reminds me of YSL Nu - peppery white flowers with sweet resinous backbone. At the beginning Yes I can smell some similarities to Tobacco Vanille but only for few seconds, this is mostly lily with some smoke. Unisex - yes, but more on female side.

IMadeleine

To my nose o. My skin this is a lighter soft version of Tobacco Vanille by TF. Very very similar

KarolaFragrance

I have been testing this for a few days now, alongside Ambre Ardent, and I have to say I prefer the latter. This one on my skin is very waxy, it is a lot of sweet candle wax. Oud to be detected only for a few seconds after you spray, and only slightly. It does not have any of that typical Avon DNA though - test on your skin before you buy.
