Bvlgari Pour Femme by Bvlgari is a Floral fragrance for women. Bvlgari Pour Femme was launched in 1994. The nose behind this fragrance is Sophia Grojsman. Top notes are Violet, Carnation, Raspberry, Peach, Coriander, Orange Blossom, Sichuan Pepper and Bergamot; middle notes are Iris, Bulgarian Rose, Heliotrope, Orris Root, Egyptian Jasmine and Lily-of-the-Valley; base notes are Musk, Green Tea, Woody Notes, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Amber, Benzoin, Styrax and Cedar.

Bvlgari Pour Femme is a feminine classic which will adorn you just like precious jewellery. The delicate floral bouquet opens with bergamot, violet leaves and orange blossom. In the heart dwells luminous jasmine Sambac picked at dawn, when its scent is romantically soft. Jasmine is followed by sensual mimosa and always feminine rose. The base unites powdery coldish iris, musk and sandal wood. The fragrance was created in 1994. In 2006 it was re-launched in a new and more luxuriant design. The face of the fragrance is charming Kate Moss.

One of my all-time favorite perfumes since the early 2000s, I am SO sad Bvlgari Pour Femme was discontinued. I'm down to my last stashed bottle and have had several disappointing experiencing purchasing rancid bottles on eBay. The pursuit of a "dupe" is actually what led to my Fragrantica/perfume obsession! Through this forum, I discovered "lipstick scents" and have fallen madly in love with Lipstick Rose and Guerlain's Rose Chérie. While not identical to my beloved Bvlgari Pour Femme, I think Lipstick Rose will become my replacement fragrance. The notes are very similar with BPF having more white florals and LR a bit more cherry/raspberry... at least to my nose. I'm also loving Rose Chérie, which I find nearly identical to LR but with a bit heavier cherry/almond note. I'm probably going to purchase a bottle of that one as well! I've tried Misia but didn't love it... I'll likely give it another try though.

I'd love to hear from anyone else who has found a suitable replacement for this exquisite perfume. I do wish they would bring it back!!!

Not a fan anyone in NZ keen on buying or swapping or even swapping a decant 5ml please message me

ladyodeloo

I liked this back in the day, but I do feel like it'd be too powdery for my taste now. Clean but a bit mature eith the white florals. I'd be curious to smell it again and see how I feel but wouldn't repurchase.

Alces Alces

This is so beautiful. Why do the best scents always get discontinued or reformulated? Sic transit gloria mundi. The sharpness of the violet is counterpoised by the sweet peach and buttery iris, such a classic Grojsman touch. Absolutely gorgeous. My bottle has sweetened over time.

Bring it back. And launch an elixir version.

Garofita4

I wish this perfume came back. Such a beautiful smell I don’t understand why this perfume brands discontinue the best perfumes. Now I have iris idor and that is discontinued also now.

hirayanaapuhap

I got the limited edition pour femme and I'm so happy how unique it smells. I don't know why people say it smells old and outdated but I really haven't smelt something like this for a long time. The last time I smelt something like this was when I volunteered for an old Catholic ministry for their charter event and one of the kindest and warmest nuns there smelled like this. It doesn't smell offensive at all! Nor it smells church-y or old lady. It smells divine. Like some angel went down and met you. Am I exaggerating? Maybe. But I'm not someone who likes spicy scents, and this one impressed me alot. I'm so sad because it's discontinued.

First opening: cactus-smelling floral and prominent coriander with a minty side.

Dry down: Almost smells like some kind of old rhum without the offensive alcoholic smell and prominent violet flowers

rosebush340

This is one of the classiest yet most unique powdery scents. If you are interested in a decant let me know and I will list it on Mercari.

mutatismutandis

A gorgeous powdery floral that lasts for nearly twelve hours. Suitable for all seasons and occasions. One of the jewels in the crown of Bvlgari's turn of the millennium creations. Yet another glory gone. Genuinely worth the high prices if you're buying it for a loved one.

Mooniq

An old favourite and I found a clone at genericperfumes. Superhappy. Just like I remembered this scent.
Top quality clone.

Alces Alces

Classic, timeless, beautiful. The epitome of Grojsman at her best. Violet, rose, iris, all things dainty and lovely. It is an honor to wear this.

luanneog

The opening was a bit sharp but it quickly settled. Initially I immediately detected rose but then it morphed into soft florals. At first I thought it was somewhat dated, but as it dried down it wasn't as much. It is VERY powdery but I like that, however, I can understand why some people would perceive this as grandma-ish. Smells like old money, elegant and sophisticated. It is clean, feminine and soft.

magyardem

Happy, powdery violet. I find this a very straight forward feminine scent, works for white tee and jeans to formalwear. Since it’s discontinued, Vivacious by Hiram Green is very similar.

UnearthlyApothecary

Pour Femme was one of the highly underrated Grojsman scents of the 90’s, a beautiful soft, powdery, fruity-floral she was a bit of a shy violet compared to the more outgoing Volupte and Tresor. Grojsman’s scents are known for being very fruity usually syrupy/heavy peach but my favorites of hers are the more powdery scents making use of orris and Violet. (Someone mentioned Paris and yes this is very similar, it’s also the less wild, more mild-mannered cousin of Ex’cla-ma’tion)
It’s a shame it was discontinued, I really can’t understand that at all. Bvlgari has continually disappointed me by discontinuing every scent I loved from them. Pour Femme has moderate to softer silage and is very long lasting.

hotbaby1

I wore this in my early 20s. Now I walk away when I hear of floral fragrances. This is very floral, in a great way, if you like floral scents, because it doesn’t smell dated, like an old lady, or “rosey”. Definitely one yo keep in mind if you are a floral lover who wants to smell floral and fresh.

Raluko111

I got this as a present from a guy who said he picked this just for me. No matter how many ways I wore it (cold vs. hot weather, on wrists, on clothes), I could not stand it or the guy. There was something so strident about it, no matter how little I sprayed. The only other perfume I hated as much as this was Vera Wang's Sheer Veil. It hurt my sinuses like nothing else. I am guessing violets are not a note that agrees with me. It was also pretty linear and did not evolve in any way that I could detect. Even thinking about it, it makes my head hurt.

NoorbBelgium

It's violet, purple, mauve, baby blue and white, and shortly becomes crispy green. This is wonderful. A wonderful combination of violet leaf, iris, lily of the valley, violets, and orris. The opening of sharp, shattered green leaves might be misleading at first, but it quickly calms into a wonderful powdered orris note. Because it is so long lasting, it has repaid me with many praises and dedication. Amazing delight! Super fresh and heavenly!

sailorneptune

kinda sad knowing that this perfume is already discontinued. this was my grandpa's last gift to my mom before he passed. i remember smelling this whenever my mom wore it. its a beautiful violet, powdery, musky, rose scent. i also remember smelling lychee (?) in the middle notes. i was able to use it a couple of times during occasions esp my prom bc my mom sprayed it on me. i wish they would bring this scent back. such a wonderful inoffensive scent. this is what love smells like to me.

ms rochambeau

This is basically YSL Paris-lite. The perfumer was the same one that created Paris 10 years before. For Bvlgari Pour femme, she seems to have taken the Paris formula and pared it down into a thin veil. Compare the notes. If you love Paris, but find it too heavy for summer, you can still have what you want in Bvlgari pour Femme.

sazias

A powdery, rich, soft and sophisticated fragrance. A true jewel. The picture of the lady whearing the beautyful necklace, is showing exactly how this fragrance smells. Sophia Grojsman is a true artist. Perfumes from her hand are so beautiful.
Fortunately I discovered Bvlgari Splendida Iris d’Or after Femme had been discontinued.
So sad perfumes get discontinued. The things in life that makes you happy.

aynala216

This is how imagine all teachers/secretaries in the 1970s smelled: soft, loving, Powdery and feminine.

LadyM

Very powdery: iris, violet, peach, rose, and musk...For my nose, it is powdery in an "old-lady" - vintage way. I am in my late twenties, therefore I did not communicate fully with Bvlgari Femme, but I could imagine this for a very sophisticated and accomplished lady in her late fifties (and older).
I have just finished the bottle that was gifted to me six years ago and I have to admit that the quality of the scent was perfect because it smelled the same way as on day one. Although Bvlgari Femme is not particularly my cup of tea, I must say, I will miss it: we have created some nice memories together 🤭

Lavendery72

This is my first encounter with an iris and violet heavy perfume, and I have to admit that once I got used to it, I became obsessed!

It smells like powdered violets and Iris goodness, with hints of rose and buttery Oris and heliotrope. It starts smelling more sweet towards the dry down. Maybe it's the vanilla and the Amber.

At first my untrained nose mistook this for baby powder, but it's incorrect to call this a baby powder scent. Teint de Neige and Junoon are most certainly Egyptian musk style baby powders, but this one is so very different from those.

Oh this fragrance is extremely powdery, don't get me wrong! But it does not evoke baby powder or baby wipes. The powder is like a cool mist, cold and beautiful, almost ethereal. Signature scent worthy but perhaps a little bit much to handle in the summertime, so spray lightly. I get complements on this.

It smells 90% the same as Splendida Iris D'Or and the dry down of Rose Essentielle is the same once the heavy Rose dissipates. I have several backup bottles because this is something I want to keep in my collection for a long time. Vintage bottles still smell amazing and are very usable.

RandomPatterned

Very sad this is gone. It was a stunning but not overbearing white floral I loved wearing during the '90s. Elegant for sure, as others stated. Much more subtle than Fracas. I even long for my empty bottle. I must try some other Sophia Grojsman creations besides Paris and Beautiful, other '80s favorites, and White Linen, which was a summer staple.

Forbiddenjade

Ah, the 90s!
This Prima Donna is one of a kind beauty. Cold, yet not aloof. Fruity, yet not childish or cheap. Lightly powdery, yet not old school.

She's someone who knows her value in life and needs not to assert it. She's gracious, naturally. And she's joyful, no doubt about it.
A lover of iris and violets of course. But also fruit which is still not ripen and maintains that light green bite. She crunches onto life, with much gusto.

An absolute and timeless delight.

LauraB425

Yet another beauty is discontinued. If you're not willing to pay an arm and a leg for what's circulating on eBay, I've found that Guerlain's Rosa Pop is a bit reminiscent with its rose/violet combination. Bvlgari Pour Femme was a bit more soft/round, but the similarities are there in Rosa Pop if you're missing this gem like I am.

Phantomias

Violet done right! BvF is a modern take on a powdery violet. A touch of sweetness adds fun to what could have been a run of the mill violet scent. Best of all, this fragrance doesn't overwhelm like so many violet perfume do - looking at you, Molinard!
Work safe because sillage and lasting power are average. BvF is a beautiful feminine fragrance and quite spendy.

Scented Libra

My absolute fave! Always get compliments…

tonkatsu335

I bought this used one as it was discontinued.

Put one push on my calves and was happy to be surrounded by a clean, soapy scent.

There is nothing old-fashioned or eccentric about this fragrance, so I think it will be liked by many people.

D&gredcap

Amazing scent....I wish this performs better....it performs as an eau de cologne....any tips to try in any specific weather ? Thanks

Mc1995

Pretty pretty pretty, nothing bombastic but very soft and pleasant. Timeless. Doesn’t last the longest but is a beautiful skin scent and something you can cover yourself in. One of the prettiest fragrances I’ve ever smelled. I’m actually surprised that this and it’s remake ‘Iris D’or’ are both discontinued and quite hard to get, this smells like something very timeless, that should stay around, think CK Eternity, or Dior J’adore, those are still here, wish this one was too.

QueenieIrenie

This one brings back many good memories for me. It's a powdery/floral elegant fragrance but I would definitely not call it "old." I was actually a teenager when I first wore this and felt very mature and womanly every time I sprayed it. There's something very timeless about this one. Many times I do not love powdery perfumes but this one I thought was well-rounded with the other floral notes, as well as vanilla and fruit notes. It lasts nicely on the skin and I love it in spring and summer. This strikes me as more of a daytime fragrance. I love the Rose Essentielle version as well, I find it to be very similar.

Cinnamonpeelerswife

Bvlgari pour Femme is pretty, quiet, a little steely, and gently melancholic. It smells like a sudden and breathtaking reminder of a distant heartbreak. I wear it when I feel like Ingrid Bergman at the end of Casablanca, or more lately Emma Stone at the end of La La Land. It’s for doing What Must Be Done with a placid smile, and without letting your mascara run.

The Iris/Orris root backbone holds the sweet top notes in check, so you won’t find any candy in the violets and fruit. You can feel Sophia Grojsman’s disciplined elegance in it, though it’s much softer than the more archly patrician White Linen.

There are some times when you just need a perfume that smells too proud to cry. This is it.

sweryn

This was one of my first perfumes, and I remember being obsessed with it! I couldn't stop smelling myself whenever I used this, it's so sophisticated yet delicate at the same time, not overpowering at all. It's flowery and powdery and, despite having so many notes, you can feel they are all blended perfectly. I cannot understand why this was discontinued, this was Bulgari's best perfume in my opinion.

Lucyana

It's like a sweeter and stronger version of Prada Infusion D'iris. Love it!

öbö

Classy woman scent. I don't think anyone would dislike it. I think it's 25 and up. Rich, elegant lady vibes. It last long enough.

lmwimsatt

Infusion d iris meets eleventh hour... taking the good w the bad

@churinil

wow got exact same just like u travel version and same batch year .both my refill smell just fine but the actual bottle one already rancid 😒 lucky I got it very cheap deal so it’s not regret at all.i don’t fully tested my refill yet only pour small amount on to my skin to test if it’s rancid .well thank god its not so I need to buy spray mini atomiser for perfume to fully tested

churinl

I have an adorable little travel set, with a lovely little glass bottle, a sheath to protect it, and 2 refills. The batch code indicates it is from September, 2002. My first spray upon receiving it was a harsh mishmash of notes, and not at all pleasant. I sprayed some out of the nozzle and let it sit. When I tried it again today, it was much smoother, and the violet/iris combo was present from the start. The rose adds a touch of tart greenness, and if you focus, you can pick out the famous Grosjman peach accord. The whole scent becomes softer and even more beautiful several hours into wearing it.

Silage and longevity are moderate.

This is nothing new or groundbreaking. I have more perfumes similar to this than I can even count. But it is beautiful and well blended, and I love the little set and bottle. I think there is something to be said for perfumes being sold in a set like this. For one thing, you can spray it on in the morning and carry it with you all day to freshen up without having to make your own decant. However, the more important thing IMO is that you have two additional sealed refills, meaning that you won't have to concern yourself with having the fragrance go bad. I had a Pure Poison set (yuck - sorry!) sold the same way. I think you get more bang for the buck this way.

I like this very much and appreciate it for what it is - pretty, feminine, and well rounded. Check it out if you're a Grosjman or Bvlgari fan.

PS - I don't know if the note pyramid above is for the original or the reformulated version, but I clearly smell mimosa and the text description states it is part of the composition.

Ameliadrevein

Im so happy I got this backups cuz this perfume is stunningly beautiful My top 5 perfume of all time

floralgardenia

العطر ريحته شبه ريحة الكريم و ريحة الباودر بس على فخامة i love this , it’s creamy powdery 💜

stacia79

I had Rose Essentielle first and when I finally tried Pour Femme I realized that this is basically Rose Essentielle with the rose notes dialed way back. It's the Bulgari-nade base, if you will. This one is more like... Violet Essentielle or Iris Essentielle maybe.

It's very powdery and cosmetics-esque, which means I have to be in just the right mood to wear it. A little spray packs a lot of sillage and longevity, so a bottle should last most people for awhile.

I'd say the reason I have to be in just the right mood to wear this is that it feels very serious to me. Not a jeans and tee shirt weekend scent, not a daily office scent and not a clubbing/high energy party scent either. It fits into a small category for me. I might wear this for a very important work meeting with execs or to an important awards banquet or church service. It has a sense of gravitas and needs the right elegance of outfit and occasion to match.

Flacon-de-Bonheur

Powdery and floral. Very feminine. I loved it at first and even wore it to bed but something went wrong after a couple of weeks, a screachy note appeared out of nowhere, Gave it away. So sad.

floralscents88

I'm a fan of bvlgari fragrances. I agree it is well blended. softly feminine and elegant. it's a lovely scent but It's quite light and restrained. I have splendida iris d'or and i find I love that more than this one. pour femme disappears rather quickly on me.

colorfulmess

A scent that I've come around on, after testing more soft/spicy iris fragrances for comparison. I quite like it now. I like that it has a nice mix of other notes going on beyond just iris. The carnation is especially good in this one.

It smells old school out of the bottle, but once it settles into the skin it becomes more modern and soft. This would be a nice "your skin but better" scent. It doesn't project that much and would be safe for office wear. Unfortunately my skin eats this up, and it doesn't last very long.

chloematilda

I don't know why I've never written a review for this classic. I've been a fan of Bvlgari fragrances for years and this was the second one I purchased after The Vert. It's been a part of my collection for so long I suppose I take it for granted. To label this as simply a "floral" is wrong. Yes, the floral notes are beautiful and feminine - soft and sensual - never sharp - but it's all that lies beneath that makes this fragrance so special. A hint of musk, a dusting of sandalwood, a bit of moss, a grounding of wood - this fragrance reveals itself in glorious layers and is beautifully blended and perfectly balanced. It's sexy, it's pretty, it's classic, it's a year round wear, and it almost always gets compliments. No - it's not wildly different or incredibly innovative, but it's the scent I reach for when I don't want to have to think too much about what to wear today. This is simply class in a bottle. 10/10

camden-girl

hi question ( will be removed after answer)
has anyone bought a vintage bottle of this , i have the clear all over glass bottle before it
was discontinued, am enjoying it but was wondering if older yellower liquid in partly frosted bottle is stronger ? also would it still smell fresh or do top notes go on this type of fragrance ?
(cheers !)

lorna.1

This one is a grower! A very retro vibe for me, that baby powder plus purple flowers scent that gives a pretty clean uncomplicated waft of femininity. Non-offensive, a classic, safe and classy. It has great performance with a moderate sillage.

I love it in the warmer months as it is not cloying in the heat but bursts forward a little more and it stays pretty in the dry-down which is my favourite part of this fragrances life cycle.
I own it and will likely keep a bottle in the collection. I don't wear it all the time and I pull it out once in a while and fall for it over the course of the day and find myself wearing it for a few before switching up again.

*note this is now discontinued, such a shame. I will likely replace it and would love any advice on similar purple flower beauties of this quality.

perfumeninja

This is a perfect fragrance for the warmer seasons when heavy perfumes wouldn't do. It's soft understated violets and musk that stays close to the skin with just a little projection.

I had a client one day at work who just smelled so classy and fresh. She was dressed very simply and elegantly. I complimented her lovely fragrance and she told me it was Bvlgari for women. I went out and bought some.

It's on my "get more" list. It's just beautiful and graceful.

camden-girl

This was a strange one for me,
I just did not like it , it made me think of lemon washing up liquid !
( Don't hit me all at once :)
Or fruit salad chewy sweets :)-

For months I considered selling this blind buy, but my husband said it was nice so I kept sniffing it but still thinking I never understood why it got sooo much love.

Finally now summer is nearing I actually like this and
Find it sweet and flowery with a little fruityness.
It's lighter than I thought it would be too, but there's a brightness mixed with a muskyness that is pretty.

I don't think it will ever be a love however ( sorry fans) simply because the rose and violet seem to clash a bit , well on me anyway :(
I'm keeping this however as it may grow on me more and more now
Summer is approaching.

If you want a mild sweetish flowery yet musky perfume which is bright still this may be for you !!

7/10

Edit:
I’m really enjoying this now , I can’t believe I was unsure it’s quite stunning,
It’s sweet but not sickly violets and is like resinous honey drizzling over chewy sweets with a classy expensive liquid powder note , I’m in LOVE !
What a turnaround ! I guess it had to grow on me a bit first . Now I adore this.

10/10 love 💗 💕

Omg got a compliment , my cab driver said someone smells gooood ! Yay ;)
( ingrid.superstars review a few below is spot on by way )

sibaraa

Classic and powdery. Has that 80/90's soap smell. I don't love it nor do I hate it. My hunt for the perfect violet scent continues... Any suggestions are very appreciated. :):) btw It's very similar to Sylvaine de la courte Dovana.

anilinam

So I blind bought Bvlgari pour Femme:

First wear: "Oh I love this! It's classic 90s: A sophisticated, complex, transparent floral with a deep resinous base" .

Second wear: "Oh I love this! The opening and heart are an iris and heliotrope lover's dream".

Third wear: "Oh I love this! The heart and drydown are violet with an attitude. Who knew violet could have an attitude?"

I'm looking forward to spring now, and vigorously stocking up on this discontinued gem... This may be the best violet I'll ever own!
Duration: 4 to 5 hrs.

ingrid.superstar

This is a review of the pre-reformuation EDT:

Candied violets and honeyed rose petals.

If this was a color, it would be rose gold! I don't normally enjoy anything overtly fruity, but the berries and peach give this a fresh, bright, very slightly boozy edge that makes me think of white wine with luscious fruit in it. Lovely!

Happy to see that's though it’s dc, it's still quite readily available.

thegoob

This, to me, is overpowering baby powder. I am unable to smell anything but that after revisiting the test strip again and again, and it is a very insistent and heavy scent as well. If I had sprayed it on myself I would have more to say on the sillage, longevity, and transformation, but I can let you know that you MUST be down for single-mindedly powdery fragrances to enjoy this in its early stages. I just don't think it's terribly flattering or evocative. It's a more fussy/cleanly/neurotic type of femininity to me.

tizzy202

Smells very creamy and sophisticated! Perfect for the office. But I also think the fragrance might be too mild for me - after 2-3 hours, you can’t tell that I’m wearing any perfume :/ sits very close to the skin at this point sadly. Expected better quality in terms of longevity from Bvlgari .. maybe these notes are inherently very mild

Br'eauDeCologne

After an initial blast of what smells like acetone, this dries down to a powdery and slightly fruity floral. Someone said a few reviews below that this smells like fancy baby lotion. That is a very apt description for the reformulation. Beautiful candied "niche" baby lotion.

As its name implies this is definitely one for the ladies - I can't see someone saying this is unisex (at least here in the Americas). It would make a great gift for a lady in your life of any generation.

sitingqueen

A soft, delectable cloud of light florals. I would wear this to church or job interviews. Very subtle and “lady-like”.

ras.kel.5

This a delicate, ethereal, wispy creation. It is slightly powdery from the orris root with a slight sweetness of fruits (raspberry and peach). The powdery characteristics are balanced by a very fresh musk that makes the scent feel cold rather than warm. Very feminine, can be worn year round, but is especially nice for spring/summer. Sillage is moderate, longevity is unfortunately short. I like it but it does not have enough lasting power to justify buying a bottle.

Virgoesque

Love this! I don't know why I'm so late to the party...why on earth has this been discontinued? It's absolutely lovely...smells like a bouquet. I bought a small vial from Fragrance.net and now wish I has gotten a full bottle. I just want to douse myself in this! Well, I'm off to Frag.net again to buy the largest bottle possible of Bvlgari Pour Femme. I don't feel this way about many perfumes...this one is special.

Starlett_Sexton

I love this, the staying power seems pretty good sillage is moderate. This is a new favorite!!! This smells like fancy baby lotion!!

MWROMO

Very elegant and classy fragrance. Not too offensive or overpowering...balanced to perfection, a simple yet elegant masterpiece of notes. Looking at the notes pyramid, one can say it is very busy and a lot is going on...but when you smell Bvlgari Pour Femme you can only smell pleasant fragrance.
Im in my mid 30's and now I can appreciate its beauty. Before, Bvlgari Pour Femme was a passé scent for me...Now I love it.

marmat

I've just opened a vintage pro reformulation bottle of this.It didnt suit my skin chemistry but it is a chic classic floral.Should anyone be interested for a trade pm me!

nurulya18

Ini parfum mahal pertama yang aku punya suka banget aromanya, setelah kering wanginya lebih enak dan tahan seharian malah di baju sampai dua hari masih tercium.

justfloral

Very elegant, cold, lofty, powdery, a little earthy. Violets + rose + raspberry + liquid powder note. Longlasting

Mona Lygre

I bought this perfume blindly, because of the iris and mimosa description... and yes, it is there!

It smells wonderful on my skin, and I absolutely love this so what ever "powdery baby-scent" :)

Callisa'sBlueSky

Bvlgari Pour Femme is a powdery, subdued perfume. If I have to choose one phrase to describe it I would choose “prim and proper” for Pour Femme. That might be boring to some but I really appreciate Pour Femme, this is a solid staple in my perfume wardrobe. It is a beautiful, romantic and very feminine scent with a good dash of old fashioned charm. This is a scent that follows all the rules of etiquette, a proper young lady from the Victorian era.

I get mostly sweet powdery violets from Pour Femme with some greenish iris notes and a bit of rose. Some people smell a prominent jasmine but I sadly do not. The longer it sits on the skin the more powdery it becomes. It is not a musty type of powder but rather a very soft, clean powder that makes one feel well groomed and very lady like. This is a big like for me. For some reason the sillage seems to be strong on me, even though it is such a delicate scent. It is a very soft perfume on my sister and barely lasts two hours on her but I can easily fill up a room with this scent if I am not careful. So no more than two light sprays for me. And the lasting power is fantastic on my skin, it easily lasts 8-10 hours on me.

This is one of my favourite day time perfumes. It is so beautifully well put together. I wear this to work, especially when I want to feel well groomed and amp up my feminine charm. This is a very charming scent but in no way do I find this overly sexy. This is a well dressed, well groomed lady with impecable manners. Also Pour Femme does well in summer during extreme heat, provided it is applied with moderation. The green floral powdery notes leaves me feeling clean and refreshed even in stifling heat. I don't think Pour Femme will really stand out in the modern world, it is not loud and attention grabbing and unique. But it is a solid, charming and clean feminine scent well liked by all who comes near enough to inhale your scent. A truly lovely scent for a lady!

aelserafy

Very compact-powdery, clean and creamy. A strong like for me. Very similar to Guerlain Insolence EDP. They sure both have violets in their composition although Insolence is sharper and more bitter. Bvlgari is feminine, office friendly and chic without being too loud. Longevity is 7-8 hours and on my skin it's slightly soapy. I would have liked this better if it was a tad bit sweeter, but it remains a safe go to for formal occasions.

Bvlgari Pour Femme is a fairly recent discovery for me (in my bid to try out as many of Sophia Grosjman's creations as possible)...and I'm pleased to have found it. It's a lovely, soothing, powdery floral that could be worn on many occasions (including for bed, which is where I am as I type this!).

Violet dominates this perfume overall for me, but initially the rose really stands out. It's a pure essential oil-type rose, deep and distilled, which combined with the soft, dry, powdery violet is very beautiful.

Sandalwood, iris and jasmine join in eventually, but the violet is the note that lasts all the way through the dry down, giving this a vintage lipstick and compact powder feel that brings to mind the house of Guerlain.

Ever so ladylike. Fairly low sillage, good longevity. Delighted to have chanced upon this.

PricklyAndHot

Very feminine fragrance!

Most of all I feel iris, violet, peach and musk.

It's powdery. But it's pleasantly powdery.

It smells classy and noble.

I think that I will buy this one or the new version.

Besides, I like these Bvlgari bottles:)

Neosmiaphyte

Carnations and Violets with jammy rose in the background. Tea and carnation lend a bit of green. Powdery, slightly sweet and sour. Sits close, wilts in the heat.

Chrysolaga

I generally love Bvlgari perfumes, but I should have read the reviews of this one before buying it. Like others have said, it is straight up powder -- almost headache inducing. I think a client of mine would think that I have applied baby powder to myself if I wear this in public. Will be passing it on.

diluted paintbox

In my opinion, this perfume totally stands for its name. It is feminine. It is bright, beautiful (although I do not prefer this adjective with fragrances, I mean this in most positive way), but for me, not naive at all. And even though it is beautiful, powdery and white floral, classically feminine, I haven't find anything like that till now (okay, except Splendida Iris D'Or, which is practically the same perfume). I find something really special in it, it could be my signature fragrance, but I hate the fact that generally looking it is nothing special. It is classy, nice, and it is like this on anyone. You get instant addiction for its beauty. For perfume designers, this is probably a good thing, but for me, not so much. I don't want my fragrance to be suited for everyone, it has to be really mine, not that light and suitable. But I love Bvlgari perfumes and I guess I am that much of a conformist, that violet and perfect blend of femininity seduce me. I love it and I wear it a lot, it is one of my favourites.

the purple rose

A beautiful fragrance full of lovely smells. Perfect for a summers day. I love the powdery lilac in this, it feels very elegant , soft and feminine.A real lady like fragrance just lovely. Rating 10/10.

yanti

I cant handle it.
Way too powdery, i love my fragrance sparkling. I feel like sitting in dusty room with strong big blooming jasmine bouquet in the center. I love jasmine in real flower, but this concoction seems does not work for me. Just handed almost full bottle to my sister, perhaps she will have a better luck.

PLUMPIE

Reminds me of bitter almonds and baby powder, its soft and subtle but somehow biting and gives me a headache. I kind of expected a classic 90s yellow floral for some reason. I am sure it is lovely on others (there is a hyacinth note in there which I enjoy) but overall this is not for me.

Cookietookie215

This smells like an expensive baby powder. The opening is kind of sharp but it dries down to a lovey powdery floral With hints of tea and musk.

RosalieRosalie

Is this discontinued??

Lucyana

Wow! Is beautiful! It smells so good and luxurious. It is definitely a perfume for mature and stylish women.

If you like violets and powdery perfumes you should give this a try. Gorgeous! And it lasts all day.

Plumaria

My story with this fragrance is similar to the one I had with Chanel No. 5. I had to grow to appreciate and love this masterpiece. One colleague used to wear it when I was in my early thirties and although I didn't disliked it I thought that is smelled a bit old fashioned and well, not for me, so I was never tempted to try it myself. After a while she started using other scents that suited her better and I forgot about it.

Ten years later I found a small sample in my stash and out of curiosity I tried it on me. It was love at the first sniff. Well, not the first but for me was a re-discovery. I don't know what happened, maybe her chemistry was not right for this perfume, but on me it was pure bliss. I finally bought it and I have been wearing it and loving it more and more.

This, together with the original Forever and Ever Dior and Chanel No. 5, is one of the few scents I can wear in winter and summer, in hot and cold weather and it always radiates this alluring essence of femininity. This is ethereal, a bit powdery with flowers and woods, creamy in a subtle way. The main note is the violet and then the rose. Some iris in the dry down but very shy. It lasts very long and has a good sillage. It is a masterpiece of perfumery.

And you know what? Bvulgari decided this year to reformulate it, to make it more mainstream, less complex, weaker, more fruity and sweet, change the name into Iris D'Or (?) and break my heart.

Carrieberry

exceptionally lovely, classy...and discontinued :(. I discovered this beauty in the duty free on my travels to europe and it was so refreshing to smell this fragrance among all the typical duty free fragrances. It is delicate and light but complex. I adore spices in perfume so of course I like the pepper and coriander that bring the powdery and soft florals to life. When I returned home from my trip I discovered that this fragrance has just been discontinued and reissued as Iris d'or. I tested Iris d'or and for me it is a sad shadow of pour femme. It saddens me that so many beautiful and classic perfumes get discontinued.

marina.zubov

This parfum is so so beautiful my husband's gift on the last Valentine Day. I never heard of this parfum but I like the brand Bvlgari is high fashion and so expensive. This is a sweet powdery perfume with purple flowers of the violet iris and heliotrope. Is soft and delicate, innocent but mature, romantic, and last a long time. There's little citrus and orange blossom, a smell of tea, green leaves, wood, and amber. Is elegant, sophisticated, and perfect for wearing with a pretty dress on a romantic date. Is very floral so if you like flowers or fruity floral parfum this will be good for you. In the dry part I smell musk the vanilla the amber and sandalwood. Very nice. I enjoy wearing this as an evening parfum for dinner and formal parties. I love my husband and he love me! Thank you baby!

Gwenz

Powdery Violets is the overwhelming impression from this fragrance, light and fresh for springtime. Perfect for a mature, confidant woman. Reasonable longevity and sillage on me, and I really do like it.

bushonka

Very elegant, soft, warm and comforting scent. This to me is like the Italian take on Chanel No.5 theme. They do not smell exactly the same, but somehow they give me the same feeling. Probable the Iris is responsible for that. I do appreciate the iconic Chanel No.5, but for me Bvlgari Femme is more wearable.

sandifitzg

This was a blind buy through the mail. I bought it because it is a Sofia Grojsman creation. I also have Bvlgari Rose Esstielle and love it.
This one is a lovely creature...elegant, feminine and luminous. It took a few minutes for it to bloom on my skin. Then its' lovely sillage like a bouquet of flowers wafted up to my nose and created a veil of loveliness. This is not a typical perfume. It is soft yet has a strong delicate presence. It needs to be experienced slowly. Sigh...pure poetry.

pasha

This was beautiful.

Now it's gone. Potent and indulgent violets, mixed with some potent rose and light well-behaved iris. Sometimes iris tends to smell too cool and too powdery in some rather ostentatious iris-based perfumes. Not here though. Just enough coolness and just enough powder.

The balance between the three flowers has been actualized perfectly, with violet being the dominant one on my skin. They are not perfectly blended to me, so you get to experience all three almost individually before the drydown which comes rather quickly. That is the magic of this floral and gently powdery beauty.

What a pity.

PS: One of the most gorgeous bottles in all perfumery imo.

perfumeglam87

Such a beautiful classic fragrance. Its a sweet powdery flower bouquet. Very elegant. I also spotted a bottle in waiting to exhale on Whitney's vanity. <3

Eva Wu

My mother wore this one...

Everything about it reminds me of her: luminous, elegant, ladylike. It's a beautiful powdery floral, all violets and iris, that just radiates freshness.

It had an almost lemony tartness when just sprayed, and settled to a snuggly, sweet puff of cloudy flowers for the rest of the day. My mother's hugs always smelt like this.

It's hard to take the nostalgia goggles off when a scent is so closely connected to someone you love, but I think this must be a genuinely great fragrance in it's own right.

To my horror, I've been touring perfumeries only to be told at the Bvlgari counters that this wonderful perfume will no longer be sold, and has been replaced by something called Splendida Iris d'Or.

This Splendida Iris thing smells, to me personally, heavier, flatter, and lacking the sparkle and joy of the original.

Bvlgari Pour Femme: you will be sorely missed.

de173eld

I smell like a Renoir painting. A still, light portrait of a humble lady posing under a shady tree by the lake.
Definitely not an obnoxious "look at meeeeee" 20th century modern girl in the city kind of smell.

Powdery, dry and ambiguous. There's no definitive line between one note and another. They're all muddled into a haze.
Like when you mix all the colors of the rainbow on a palette and just get this unidentifiable mishmash of color.
I have no idea what I smell like and it's perfect!

This has a moderate sillage but because the smell is so indistinct, it feels quiet. Lasts 10+ hours. Humble but strong-willed.

artisy

This review is specifically for the EDT since there isn't a separate entry on here. :-/

Pour Femme EDT is a beautiful powdery floral. I can't distinguish any of the notes but then again I don't have the best sniffer due to severe allergies and sinus problems.

To me, it reads soft but clear like the most luxurious floral body lotion you could ever use. It's like embracing someone who doesn't use perfume but has a signature smell due to their shampoo or body wash.

I bet the EDP is the way to go for me since I'd like something a bit stronger, but this is subtle and beautiful in its own way.

Germany

A new ,old favourite !
Repurchased this beauty and so happy I did. I forgot what a great elegant, feminine ,soapy lipstick scent this was. I mainly smell violets ,iris powder and roses and it reminds me strongly of all my other favourite perfumes in this category of ladylike lipstick , makeup scents.
Lipstick rose, insolence ,love in black ,,,but mainly it reminds me of Misia chanel exclusifs.
My whole family loves Bvlgari pour femme. I find it suits me extremely well.
I would choose this over many others ,anytime, any day.

Ariana.b

Bvlgari Pour Femme was the first "expensive" perfume I've had. My mother gifted this to me when I was 14, a big important age:)) To me this is how my teenage years smelled like, even though this is far away from being a young perfume. It is elegant, refined and so graceful, having a clear character. The iris and violets give Pour Femme an angelic allure, being so smooth and diaphanous. But it also has well defined woody aspects and the specific Bvlgari tea note which gives freshness and even a sense of comfort. A perfume can evoke magnificent emotions and little pieces from our past experiences, and I think that this particularity is the one that brought us together in this amazing world of fumes.

The main accords look right, this is at its best when first sprayed, it stays pleasant on its journey the whole time.
Very baby powder in the middle of it's life on my skin, warm floral baby powder.
Very good lasting power, from midday till late in the evening.
There's a slight sweetness which emerges towards the end drydown where it gets a little dusky.

Lockon

I bought this for my stepmother.
$30 for 3.4 OZ bottle of the EDP.
I don't like it.
But she loved it.
It's super floral.
It smells like a wet garden in mid spring...with a hint of sugar.
I'd buy it again for her. but not for my girlfriend...
sillage is a foot away from the body an last six hours plus.

sepheme

The first time I smelled this was in high school. She was an elfishly cute blonde in ripped up black tights and Doc Martens, and I thought she was the most effortlessly cool person I had ever seen. (Turns out those tights take practice.) I don't remember her name, but she carried this powdery number off with such girlish charm. I'd never smelled violet in a perfume before, and I was enchanted. Eventually I made it my own.

I'm smelling it for the first time in about sixteen years and am surprised at how much I like it. A peppery carnation that I don't care for is soon pulled back like a curtain to reveal an ambience that is more pale pink than purple, despite the purple flowers. If it is a color, it is a softly-lit peachy pink, very pale. I don't mind the powder at all, even though I haven't worn a powdery scent in a long time. While others have remarked that this is a fragrance for wearing jewels, going to tea and other well-behaved places, my first associations with it will always be stronger. The lesson seems to be this. While Bvlgari Pour Femme may be playing it safe for some, it can be subversively seductive on others.

Bvlgari pour Femme is a masterpiece, tickles my senses most wonderful ways. A recent find for me, and went directly to my top 5, have a back up bottle already. It is so well blended, to me it's mostly violets with rose, heliotrope and green tea. Makes me feel very feminin, lights up my face, gives inner happiness and comfort. Thank you Sophia Grojsman!

JulieMA

My step-children love this as they say it reminds them of me when they first met me 10 years ago... I only wear this in the day and the fact that they had a positive association with the scent warms the cockles of my heart!

miracleborgtech

Quintessential floral elegance! Sophisticated, flower notes from the most exquisite blooms. Fresh from picking, exuding their sweet gift of scent. Jasmine, Lily of the Valley, Rose, Violet, Iris, Carnation, Heliotrope, Orange Blossom! A garland of interwoven blossoms. Classic in that it uses the most popular scented flowers in perfume. The spirit and essence of all these in a bouquet tempered by spices and fruits.

The opening is a heady floral rush that almost made me lightheaded, violet somewhat standing out for me. As it dried down, the sweetness was joined by a soft woody accord, that became more noticable as time passed, sandalwood in the lead. Perfect sillage and longevity. Glad I got an FB! This is one to wear anytime!

maya2000ro

I love it. On my skin is very floral and it last more than 6 hrs.

"I think that perfume is the music for people's souls." Sophia Grojsman

I think she's right.

I've always had such a strong reaction to Bvlgari Pour Femme. It's emotional. I know it. It's the reason I reach for it so frequently. The trick for me is to figure out WHAT my psyche loves about this creation. Why I'm so contented by it, why the pretty is so peaceful. What is it I react to in this composition? What song does this Grojsman sing to my soul? Sure, I might be overthinking it, BUT...it makes me happy to do so.

I know I love the lightness of Bvlgari Pour Femme. Anything heavier would fail to uplift me in the same way.
I love the delicacy, the tenderness. Anything stronger would overpower me.
I love the femininity, the grace, the simple sophistication and the allure it engenders. I am woman, after all :)

It seems Bvlgari Pour Femme is a wordless song, but something in me hears it with complete clarity.

My wife using this fragrance and i love that.
Pure powdery, elegant and classic.
So charming.

Just bought a decant of this perfume because i'm curious how this perfume smells haha.

it is a floral, light powdery, fresh soapy, elegant scent. This fragrance could be worn by women age above 25. A bit loud at the opening notes, but let it settle down for 5-10 minutes, and you'll get a fresh floral-powdery-soapy scent, very classy scent!

When to wear this fragrance? all occasion, casual or even formal, very versatile scent for sure.

dyaver

It's a powdery floral composition, which is very classy and elegant. I don't like the opening so much, it's powdery and spicy, with lots of carnation, pepper and orris. Later on it settles to become a remarkable scent. I can only picture a confident, sexy and elegant woman wearing it. I'm surprised that rose is listed so high, I don't get it at all.

Lima Aman

Why does this perfume last on me only for 10 minutes. At the beginning it reminds me of Elizabeth Arden True Love.

I would like this to last longer on my skin, im very disappointed :(

marinatatti

I really love this scent! It is very womanly, sexy, sweet, classy and distinct. It is definitely a classic and I have emptied many bottles. You can wear it both during winter and summer and it smells like no other perfume. Definitely a charm!

Review for the eau de parfum: if I could only use two words to describe Bvlgari pour femme they would be 'Sophia Grojsman'. It smells exactly like her creations , unmistakably feminine.
On me it is very peachy-floral-powdery, with the iris dominant and the rose and maybe the violet in the background.
It is surprisingly strong for a Bvlgari, and I find it is more appropriate for cool spring temperatures, might feel too much in hot weather.
Overall, even though I felt overwhelmed from its opening I am in love with the soft, womanly drydown. Would love my little daughters to associate me and our cuddles with it, it's that good. Thank you Sophia❤️

Everything is already said here, another beauty by bvlgari that I keep on my shelf and wear with joy. Stays on long and radiates well.

laura.linger.3

When I wear it, I feel like Jackie O, Princess Diana, Grace Kelly, and Audrey Hepburn all rolled into one divine, dynamite, elegant lady.

ChelleBelle84

I've been wearing this off and on for about 15 years. Loved it then, love it now. I detect a bit of a change in the formula (less tea perhaps?) but it doesn't annoy me. The is a very classic, clean, fresh, slightly soapy scent suitable for any occasion, any season. Some people here detect powderiness with this and I find it to be minimal on me and hasn't set off any allergies for the people around me. I had one fragrance that was so powdery that I actually felt "asthmatic" and very sick. This is not that powdery for me.

If you were to ask me, "what does it smell like in terms of other scents?" I would have to say it's a rosier version of Daisy Eau So Fresh with tea added and no green note. If you smelled Rose Essentielle, it's basically this fragrance with a little patchouli added and the raspberry in this is changed out to blackberry in Rose Essentielle,

It's getting hard to find and the department stores tell me it's discontinued? Really, I find this hard to believe. This is like the flagship fragrance for the brand. You can still find it online and even on the Bvlgari site though. I pray it's just a change in packaging or maybe have to make a slight tweak in the formula for IFRA regulation compliance. Any case, if they still make it another 15 years, I'll continue to buy it.

WOW

Closing my eyes inhaling this fragrance right now as it wears on my skin. I spritzed this beautiful perfume on my neck and wrists. This is what I'm wearing later tonight at a dinner party. I will be performing as chanteuse for a couple celebrating their wedding anniversary. This fragrance matches up with my evening gown. Gorgeous floral fragrance. A lot of amazing scents thrown into one classy fantastic fragrance. This starts with some sweet fruit. I could smell the bergamot, the peach and raspberry. It then turns into flowers: carnation, rose, jasmine, heliotrope and lily of the valley. Just a very lovely floral bouquet. The fragrance develops into a dry down of tea, like an herbal tea, and it also has warm golden amber and woods. It also has some vanilla. This is a luxurious fragrance and smells like a million dollar. This is one of those affordable luxuries. It smells like it ought to cost more money. I feel the same way about fragrances like First Van Cleef & Arpels, Amarige and Esprit D'Oscar. This is just such a beautiful fragrance. It has everything I look for in a classy perfume to wear with my hair up and an evening gown. I could even call this a wedding perfume. It's just so special and such a rare beauty that it's like a very expensive gown that you wear only once or at least very infrequently. None of the reviews are lying folks. This is such a brilliant gorgeous to die for perfume. I can't wait to spritz it on again tonight in the hotel bathroom!

May 2016 - Classic. Lovely. Elegant. High-brow. Powdery.
COMBO: Pour Femme + Desnuda. Very nice!! Adds some slightly sweet facets to Pour Femme.

Renata tang

For me, it is a light powdery perfume, reminds me of lolita L'eau de blanc a little, because of the iris. Face powder/makeup feeling...very feminine.

Class&Ass

I first experienced Bvlgari Pour Femme years ago. It seemed so fresh & light with an elegance that was lacking in fragrances at that time.

Yesterday while I was out shopping I purchased several perfumes & this one I found at Ross for only $30!

I adore the feedback on this forum, prior to finding this site I had NO idea Ross sold perfume! It's not a store I think of as having anything as expensive as Bvlgari Pour Femme used to be! $30 dollars just blows my mind.

I was just as impressed with this $30 bottle as I was when I bought it years ago for $130. It's such a classy fragrance I feel comfortable wearing anywhere. Once again I have to thank you all for your info! Ross sells Bvlgari? Who knew!

Gigi The Fashionista

Lush luxurious fragrance. This smells so expensive and originally was expensive but look at it now! Now everyone and their dog can wear it. Bulgari is a well rounded and elaborate fruity floral. I smell the peach. The flowers include rose jasmine iris heliotrope and violet. They are each detectable. They're quite heavy and I would indeed call this a floral fragrance. Fortunately the base notes in the dry down are aromatic and strong enough to provide this fragrance with depth. I love the styrax which gives it a spiciness. I love the sandalwood most of all. There is tea and amber. Every note on the base are notes I love. This smells like a real perfume. And from not that long ago. I wonder what happened to perfumery after the year 2000. Everything changed. But this is a gorgeous sophisticated elegant and very expensive smelling fragrance. Recommended for evening and to wear with evening wear, formal. This is a perfume to wear to the theater, to the ballet to the opera, to weddings to anywhere where you dress up. Also great as a dinner date perfume. I love this fragrance very much and for me it's the epitome of luxury. This fragrance was created by none other than the great Sophia Grojsman no wonder I love it. She's the best.

mirisfrik

It seems that i have a pretty funny love hate relationship with Bvlgaries. While almost all Omnias could be on my "to buy" list, the rest just does not seem right for me.
Pour femme particulary, starts very feminine, juicy and rich, but give it half of an hour, and it turns into bothering, masculine scent. It feels like banannas & cinammon (almost like Bruno Bananni - Not for everybody), but with a strong masculine note. There must be something in my body chemistry that turns it into something unpleasant and annoying.
I had almost the same story with BLV which ended at my boyfriend's and it suited him better than me.

LucyLucy

To Aqua :

Thanks a lot love, guess I'll have to get another one :/

aqua76239

Lucy, perhaps you got a bad bottle. I bought mine at Macys and it smelled just like I remembered

LucyLucy

Can somebody please tell me if this perfume has been reformulated? Or is it possible that I got the fake ones?? I wore it like 6-7yrs ago and I couldn't find it anymore here so I was decided to buy it online and all I can smell is a round sharp powder, a bit of white flower, more alcohol and its...fruitier?? I remembered it to be powdery (but not as much as I got today) spicy and cold..more elegant (so was my old empty bottle)..I can still use it though but I didn't feel as confident as before specially because it smells like J.lo Live Luxe that's been watered down :/

aqua76239

I remember smelling way back when it was first launched and liking it but I never bought it. Fast forward to today. I was looking for floral or two to break up my largely sweet gourmand collection and I remembered this.
Alas, when I asked for it at Neiman Marcus, they told me that they are shipping this and all Omnia's back to vendor Bvlgary, no idea why. Sephora didn't have it either and neither did Nordstroms. I was fortunate enough to have Bvlgari store at the mall so I went in and asked for it. Lady there told me it was discountinued!
Well that's a shocker. She let me smell the tester they had left and I was feeling more sorrier than ever that I didn't buy it before.
Its a lovely jasmine floral, very elegant, adult and sophisticated, with woodsy drydown. My oonly complaint is that most Bvl fragrances lay really close to the skin and do not project well. This one no different. However, I did still liked it a lot.

in a last ditch effort I went to Macy's and asked there. And lo and behold they had it!
so if anyone wants this scent, better get it while you can before they getting it out of all the stores

Addict2Perfume

Bvlgari Pour Femme by Bvlgari is one of those fragrances that I really liked until the dry down. It opens up smelling so powdery and sweet, but I think the violet in this just does not sit right with my body chemistry because it smells a little like stamp glue on me. I had not smelled this prior to swapping and sometimes jasmine and heliotrope that are too diluted smell sour. However I do think that on the right person, this fragrances probably blossoms beautifully on their skin and smells divine. Unfortunately I am not one of those people, if only I could get those top notes to last!

Shadowfroggy

Today was the last time I sprayed this on- a person from a Facebook swap site is meeting me in one hour to get my bottle. I figured if I am going to review it, it is now or never. Well, if I am swapping it (for a skillet) you already know I am not in love. I bought it when I was on the hunt for a perfect rose based fragrance. The problem is I do not know what that is! It is easier to know what it is not.

Comparisons to YSL are spot on- at first. It is why I picked it up. Love YSL Paris but find it too strong and this was softer. But the smell quickly fades on me and smells like, I apologize to those who love this, urine. This is my first ever experience with something turning on me this way. I have seen other people write about cat pee smells and such and was always skeptical. It's true! Might just be bad chemistry with my skin but for obvious reasons, cannot wear this.

Hope the lady who is getting this has a better experience. My hunt for the perfect rose continues...

ginawadsworth

Beautiful classic perfume. Very feminine and ageless.

I love the opening spices that dry down to a soothing violet.

Reminds me of Parma Violets, sweets I ate as a child in England. I was the only child who liked them. Must have been their distinctive smell which drew me to them.

So happy to find another Ms Grossman perfume that I like.

Marie69

Words used by other reviewers include classic, classy, feminine and delicate and I couldn´t agree more. A take on YSL´s Paris and also a little reminiscent of Guerlain´s Champs Elysee, the violet note comes through loud and clear intermingling with rose, and yes other florals. Very very nice. This perfume would be liked by many as it has no odd edges. It would be very nice on a young girl of 13, and on her great grandmother at 93. It is more daytime and clear, as opposed to evening and sexy. Although it is a clean floral scent, it is strong and long lasting. ONE spray is best. In fact, I think one issue with wearing any perfume is too much. The modern juices can be far more penetrating than older vintages, so one spray and wait...For violet lovers, this is for you. The florals are quite true to life and whatever the base notes, they are not sickly sweet, not at all cloying.

RaggedyAnne

Such a beautiful feminine fragrance. My nose finds Violets first, but that's not unusual as I find Violet first in most perfumes that include it in the notes.
Quickly followed by freesia , which is fine by me as Violets and Freesia are my favourite notes. I do smell Lily of the Valley a little later, but not strongly. This is an inoffensive perfume, perfect for daytime and office. I purchased this for a good price, and although while I have it I will wear it and love it, I probably wouldnt re-purchase as its quite similar to other perfumes I own. This is IMHO a very safe blind buy, its soft, its classy and elegant, and a very pretty fragrance that has decent longevity.... 6+ hours on me.

Jmalone84

In the opening I really got sweet dewey jasmine, gardenia and freesia, I really enjoyed this part. As it dries down I get some rose and very elegant woods- all of the components are there. Surprised at people placing violets on the top, because I am very familiar with violets- and they certainly do not dominate here. I have the discontinued Guerlain Meteorites perfume (which is pure parma violets), and Chloé Love (also sadly recently discontinued) as my signature. The violets here only come out in the middle of the composition- they are very noticeable at this point, but also pleasantly balanced by the rose, peach, other florals and woods.

I do want this one. The violets and woods troubled me a little, but I think I could quite easily wear this and not be bothered by it. This is a nice combination of classic florals with a sweet (but NOT too sweet) modern twist. Very classy and elegant, I imagine this on a beautiful brunette in impeccable designer clothes. Very pretty wearable floral, good for day and romantic wear. Sillage and longevity is nice, it's very present but not overpowering like my signature which I find a little cloying.

Maia_Sultana

Unfortunately on my skin after 30 minutes it is simply soap and nothing more. Fresh, cold soap, but still soap. I usually truly hate soapy perfumes, but this one I actually enjoy, although I wouldn't wear it. I would gladly spray my sheets with it but not my skin.
I adore bottle design.

ChristmasB

For me this is light, midly sweet, enchanting, and ultra feminine. It's a soft, luxurious scent that is as complex as its impressive list of notes. (The rose flanker is also lovely--a soft, sweet rose rather than a tangy or loud one.)

That said, I stocked up on this hard-to-find beauty only to discover that my husband doesn't find powdery fragrances sexy. :( I was heartily bummed, as my other favorite fragrance was YSL Paris--also very sweet and powdery. (If you're wondering, BPF is not nearly as sweet or strong as YSL Paris)

My second woe with BPF is that it has no lasting power. It's like a beautiful dream--magical, intoxicating, and then - poof - it's over. Hope this was helpful to someone. Thanks to all the reviewers for sharing your insights on fragrantica! :)

hails_blogger

This fragrance is so beautiful. On the Pour Femme EDT After Spraying on my wrist and letting this one settle I could detect similarities between this and Prada Infusion D'iris. Just those middle notes of iris and Lilly of the valley. So pretty.....

I just cannot connect to the "powdery" description of this scent. I keep sampling this one for years now and I just never passed by the metallic, almost acidic nature of it. I can relate to that, though: keeping in mind that Bvlgari is primarily jewelry designer house, it makes perfect sense for the scent to smell like gold itself! But no powder here for me. No warmth whatsoever. I can imagine a Grace Kelly sort of a woman with a perfect bun and expressionless face. It is a "perfumy" perfume with no reference to anything natural: it really sits on my skin like a chunky piece of a precious metal; never blending in. I have had an issue before with Bvlgari scents (looking at you, BLV!) in terms of just turning unforgivably sour on my decollete, so it might just be the case with this one as well. However, I wouldn't want to smell this cold and distant, regardless of the perfect lady impression it may make.

Whoa, POUR FEMME! The initial blast is an overwhelming rubbing alcohol! I was set to throw this away. I wouldn't have given this to my worst enemy. And then, POUR FEMME transformed . . . into a peachy scented carnation, then into an orris root and rose fragrance and then she finally settled into a warm, powdery violet.

After two hours of application, I couldn't smell this perfume anymore. But, my husband told me later that night (when I asked if he'd liked my perfume) that he liked my perfume and had noticed it during lunch --over a plate of fajitas at a Mexican restaurant -- so I suppose the longevity and sillage are better than I thought ;). Anyway, after lunch, thinking my perfume had faded, I reapplied it and was pleasantly surprised on the second application. Throughout the rest of the day, I got really pleasant, unexpected whiffs of this powdery violet. A very light and feminine fragrance, it is a good choice for casual daily wear.

vintagevixen

One of my favorite perfumes of all time, along with Chanel No. 5 Eau Premiere. Its classy, elegant, and softly sweet. I don't get much warmth from it, it strikes me as being powdery, high-class, and a bit cool and reserved. I have to disagree with reviewers saying it has no personality and is boring. Not everyone is looking to stir fires with their perfume. For me it suits my personality perfectly, which is a bit reserved but very feminine. I am not looking to smell spicy or leathery or earthy. This classic floral feminine scent suits me perfectly.

DarlingNikki

One word=CLASS!

Arlene-Beatrix

Powdery violet & iris. This scent is very far from today's mainstream fragrances, so it is a bit nostalgic for me. I like it, I think it is very ladylike, mysterious and noble, but I can't wear it, because powdery scents are just not my thing.

Dubliana

First of all, I can't get enough of this site and your reviews, ladies! I reeeeeally appreciate you putting the nose into it and taking the time to express it all out here 'dear-diary' style! I'm loving it and not in the fast-read way either! Now back to Bvlgari pour Femme! I honestly thought this was a faux pas for me ever since I first got it (maaan, Kate Moss really rocked that campaign and the sooong! WHOAAA), back when I was 24 or 25 for 2 reasons: 1. to and on me reeked at least of a middle-aged, bored to death, sophisticated or trying to be sophisticated, quite well-off lady with some taste I couldn't quite put my finger on, whereas my boyfriend at the time thought it smelled like an old lady with the whole package above... 2. I have it now, the 32-year old me, and it smells somewhat like cheap soap at first puff (make that 1-2 hours). But then, I reckon it has to do my pH and, probably, the fact that I'm a smoker, it develops some woody-musky-spicy-vanilla and only subtly sweet-sour notes which seem to last forever and don't seem to bother anybody around, on the contrary, which is why I still have the perfume and not the boyfriend :))))) Kidding, you guys! :D we broke up because of another perfume... KIDDING AGAIN! Seriously now, it's just another fragrance combo which is not perfect from the first puff/sniff 'till the last base note, but it's not letting you down completely. And I, quite often, wore it after sunset and only in pubs and clubs and the like. Hope it helps...

goingblonde

Very soft and powdery especially the first hour.
Then a bit of Bergamot and Orange Blossom comes in and while its still powdery its not as intense .
It is close to the skin & has great longevity that I was not expecting .
This fragrance is one that really matches the bottle.Soft and feminine.

As others have said it is nothing special or different, it is not going to get you noticed by your scent alone but if you like powdery scents it fits the bill nicely and with the great longevity that makes it even better .

risarii

A pretty perfume.
"Pretty" is really the only characteristic. It's pleasant, feminine and ladylike, but that's it. For me, it lacks character and it certainly isn't multi-faceted, not in the least. But it is nice, and good quality as expected from Bulgari. If you're looking for something feminine, non-offensive and pleasant (and like violet) this is a good choice!

JaxTheMinx

I love peach and rose but this fragrance did not speak to me at all. I ended up spritzing loads of at a time in order to get the bottle empty. I used to have Bvlgari BLV, which I initially loved for winter but then outgrew. I gave the rest away as I just couldn't wear it any longer. The Omnia's are even worse. Some houses are winners as regards my skin and taste, but Bvlgari has never done much for me. Gucci, Clinique, Boucheron, Lauder, Arden, CK, Issey, Stella - I can wear them all. This just really wasn't for me although I cannot quite explain why.

Elreno22

Good friends come in unexpected places. I hear you, but I still like this fragrance. I wait for the initial alcohol to pass and it settles into one of my faves. We will not always agree and that is the delight of it all. This perfume is floral enough to be pretty and wood enough to be calm and powdery enough to blend it all together. I'm a fan.

hdmc_2000

Got this as a blind buy yesterday....sorry, but its horrible on me! I couldn't wait to get it off! Very strong and chemical smelling. Huge disappointment. :(
Willing to swap or sell!

angel has a problem

@ColdDiss you magnificent bastard. You're my new fave.

Your review encompasses how I feel about this and SO many other perfumes. Are you me?

ColdDiss

If you ever need to go into stealth mode, camouflaged as some nice, normal woman who's not looking to make waves or start fires, this is your perfume. Smells great; says nothing. Wear it to a court date or someone else's baby shower.

chanka

Love it
So pure powdery soft romantic
Just perfect perfume
Again one of my favorites
Quite strong and cant put too much close to my face..
It last long it leaves smell in your hous for hours..
I purchased it 2 Or 3 times

Deirdre1969

Out of maybe 7 perfumes I smelled today, and 3 I tried on, this was the only one I liked. And it also smelled like my mom's old favorite, L'Air du Temps. I actually started a topic on whether to get her this or (non-vintage) L'Air du Temps, and everyone's advice was very good, but I decided to try this on me today, and wow. It's a kinder, gentler L'Air (no aldehydes I suppose) and it didn't "turn" on me. I think 80% of perfumes I try on do "turn".

It's a lovely, graceful spicy floral. I can smell carnation, cedar, sandalwood, gentle spices, refreshing rose, and a little powder (though not overwhelming). Everything blends into a nice comforting cool-skin aura. It's elegant, but not unapproachable. Makes me think of Audrey Hepburn when she started doing her work for the U.N.

So this is going to be the choice for Mum's birthday this spring, and I may get myself a bottle of it later.

theberry33

Light feminine scent that has that cosmetic cream(Nivea classic blue tin?) quality to it.Some say it is boring and though it is not groundbreaking in any way, I find it elegant and understated, perfect for when you just need something pretty and inoffensive to wear.

Lillitth

Pretty enough but nothing special on me. Mostly baby powder with some forgettable floral. I am sad because I love the classically beautiful bottle and I usually love the notes used.

AND-MAT

Such a classy and feminine perfume! Bvlgari pour femme is wonderful. It has this perfect combination of florals and woods that radiates mysteriously a bit of gourmand aura! Violets, Iris, Jasmine and rose form the floral heart of it's composition, while amber, sandalwood and musk form it's heavy woody base! Finally, peaches, vanilla and mostly raspberries add a soft, background gourmandish vibe to this perfect formula.

To top it off, it has a good projection and lasted nearly a full day on my skin. It is also wearable all year long. Apply it lightly in summer and a bit more generously in winter and your day is set!

So, perfect scent, perfect sillage, perfect packaging and an affordable price makes for a perfume you don't have to dismiss. Try it! It's easy to wear and to love! Not too heavy but not too shy either! Just because it's a classic scent does not mean it's old or for old ladies!

9.5/10!

rARKatt

I have had a 5 ml mini of this one for ages, and sort of forgotten about it.

Lately I've been obsessing a bit about that violet note in fragrances, as I love, love, love the real deal in my mothers garden in March, but when I sample fragrances with this as a prominent note I tend to recoil with true nausea (for instance Guerlain Insolence and Gucci Flora Generous Violet).

But this one, it works! I still don't think the "violet" note really smells like violet, but this is at least not repulsive to me.

Besides from this the scent is classic and elegant or conservative and boring depending on how you like it. Civilised and cultured or restrained and tame. I imagine the best occations for wearing it would be the same as for wearing your best (Bvlgari) jewelry.

fiouu

Booooooriiinnggg. Sprayed this over burberry body and it Just refreshed it. The violet stayed there for a while and then *poof* gone. Bvlgari has some crap longevity definitely.

naomikim

This is such a sillage monster on me. Very powdery and feminine. HOWEVER, I've gotten quite a few negative comments from both adults and children. (I work with children.) I know perfumes can smell different on different people but if you are looking for something light and casual that everybody would like, be careful. This might not be the one for you.

Jtay

Beautiful fragrance; one of my favorites. Understated, sophisticated and sensual. Great on any age. Nothing particularly complex here but it doesn't matter. This is a versatile and just plain lovely fragrance. It's not unique, per se, but it is distinctive. Light silage but rich in quality. Smells expensive. You won't mistake it for another.

Ilprofumo

Our love affair began in 1994 and we're still going steady and strong. In a league of its own. Yes, I cheat on Bvlgari here and there but absence makes the nose grow fonder. I love you Pour Femme perche mi fai sentire donna. You complete me.

For women who "understand" the finer things in life and know how to wear, enjoy, and use them. Like Bvlgari's fine jewelry...like Bvlgari pour Femme.

Kitty48

This is beyond gorgeous, it's a sumptuous and purely feminine floral with a hint of wood. I adore it!

I sprayed on paper first and the first notes were pure violet, on the skin it comes across as a pure mix of violet and rose.

The drydown is powdery, just a little sandalwood, just a little musk and the soft fragrance of the flowers. This is such a beautiful fragrance that it has to go up with my favourites!

ellina1984

Rose and jasmine. It's very rare for me to like a scent that's heavy on the rose, yet I have to admit this is the epitome of femininity, even if I wouldn't personally wear this. If you don't like rose, don't even bother testing this.

me.four.real

Is this close to Omnia Amethyste? How does the two compare? Thank you for everyone who will answer. :)

pravda48

Words like 'classy, cool, conservative, feminine' come to mind when I wear this. Since Rose Essetielle is a big love of mine (thought it had to grow on me first) I gave this one a try, too.

Tart raspberry surrounded by fluffy purple iris & violet. A tinge of bergamot & a good bit of carnation freshness lend it a fresh 'n tangy cool purple vibe all around with a slight powder-poof edge.

About an hour later more of the white musk & heliotrope (powdery, just a touch more vintage femme now) are apparent. Alas, it is not for me. Purple florals have to have something very different going on (i.e. Galliano's fizzy aldehydes) to keep my attention. Not my style but a well done, beautiful perfume for those who are into these notes more.

--CAUTION: feels like something about the synthetic peach or powdery purple florals in this hurt me the same way Gucci's Guilty (peach/lilac) does, so IF YOU HAVE SENSITIVE lungs take it easy with this one!

--Sillage?: Good
--Longevity?: 6ish hrs with 3 sprays
--(tested 3x)

WOW... this is more like a masculine floral, like Fleur du Male. Lots of woods. On my nose it is all about iris and orris, from start to finish and very much in the vein of GF for Women. iris, iris, iris... it loves me and I love it in return, happily.

ScarlettX

I enjoy this luxurious smelling perfume. I don't know how Bvlgari always manages to create expensive smelling fragrances.
This one is very powdery. Mostly I sense violet and iris. At first it was very strong and a little weird in my opinion, but it calmed down just fine.
It makes me think of silk, cashmere and other luxurious materials.
Exquisite!

aym

I tried this today at the perfume shop. It was the last one I tried (on a strip) just as I was walking out the door. It caught my eye because I saw the beautiful classic bottle sitting on the shelf and Bvlgari is such a classic. As I walked out of the shop I sniffed the strip and loved it. I thought that I should get my shopping done and then smell it again. As I finished I pulled out the strip and it was just a lovely sent I drove back to the shop just to spray it on my wrist. It is beautiful straight out of the bottle and as it mellows through the hours (very good longevity) it continues to emanate the most wonderful warm sweet smell. I have put it on my want list and think I may have found my signature scent.

CozyCat

This is a very beautiful perfume, it's something I imagine a naturally stunning, demure woman would wear, someone classically soft and feminine with exquisite taste. That kind of woman that gentlemen scramble around opening doors for and fighting over. Soft, floral, timeless, ageless, abit powdery and soapy...it has presence, and it embodies the kind of lady I once aspired to be. Unfortunately it hates my chemistry, because 15 minutes after spraying it on, this scent starts to smell like vinegar on me! I have no idea what went wrong...but it could be the heavy musk and lily-of-the-valley/rose/violet combo. So far I've found that floral-type fragrances rich in musk has that tendency to smell sharp/sour on me (Narciso Rodriguez and Idylle are other examples). It may smell bad on me, but I would still highly recommend this fragrance, just make sure your skin does well with musky florals.

lalondem

I have this fragrance and thought it smelled like men's cologne....some sharp note in it,or notes, that smell masculine. Used it as housespray....

vongocap

I love woody - rose - violet blends, and this is no exception. But me and bvlgari fragrances stay on different levels. They are too ethereal for me, I'm staying too low for them..I can't really manage to reach them I don't know how to explain it, they live a life on their own but in another dimension than mine, so we can't understand each other

Holli

It's strange to me how many people have used "elegant" to describe this one. I find it very comfortable and casual. Actually, all of the Bvlgaris I've tried feel more like jeans and happiness than black dresses and starched shirts. This one is definitely similar to Rose Essentielle. Unless you love one, you probably don't need both. Re has been on of my go tos for a long time, and I enjoy having both.

Pf is like Rose Essentielle with the patch removed and a major helping of jasmine and tea added. My skin tends to amp up jasmine. So, take that with some salt. Rose Essentielle is more sour and a little less creamy.

I do think the bottles for both are classic, heavy and gorgeous. I wish more perfumers went with minimal designs and glass.

vintage_scent

This is the color of blush. Light, refined, understated elegance. This is the Dom Perignon of perfumes, a lovely blush Chablis. And although it isn't the drop-dead gorgeous boldness of other Sophia Grosjman perfumes, it is heartbreakingly, breathtakingly beautiful.

When I wear it, I see very light, translucent pink. Soft, like pink satin ballerina slippers. Layers of chiffon. All of the notes so seamlessly blended, it's hard to distinguish one particularly. The violet, rose and iris get along so gorgeous...high class.

EastCoastRose

I love the scent of this straight out of the bottle. It's just sweet enough, elegant, perfection. I keep smelling it and smelling it because it is so good, and then about 2 hours later, I smell it on my wrist and it smells like clothes from an old basement. I guess that's just my skin unfortunately. I didn't buy a bottle for this reason and would love to find something similar without the odd dry down.

Dayi Marquez

This fragrace is delicious

Mortazuma

Even though the oh so versatile Kate Moss was chosen as the face of this lovely scent...for me, this is the Monica Belluci of fragrances. Womanly, seemingly ageless, elegant, full figured, modestly confident, sensual and disarming. It has a powdery floral warmth to it that beckons in a manner most passive yet inviting.

That is what I like the most about this perfume. It isn't vying for anyone's attention...it doesn't need to. It shall and is meant to be appreciated by anyone the wearer INTENDED to have near them. Definitely a romantic, beautiful and soft perfume.

CeciliaKu

This fragrance is pure elegance, perfection and class.

Appropriate for any occasion or season, you'll feel instantly feminine and beautiful when wearing this glorious fragrance.

Bvlgari pour Femme opens with a fresh and clean bouquet of flowers with subtle citrusy undertones. It is mostly floral from beginning to end. Slightly powdery in the drydown yet somewhat rich and woodsy, this fragrance concludes beautifully.

Although Bvlgari pour Femme isn't entirely unique, there is something very sensual and expensive about it which should appeal to those that seek a sophisticated and distinguished fragrance.

DancerForLife

This has been my go-to scent for a few years now. Appropriate for essentially all settings, wears well, and makes me feel pretty, no matter whether I'm in jeans wandering along the beach or dressed up for a major presentation. Pretty without being overly sharp, on me it dries down to a very nice white floral finish that is not overwhelming. Need to be careful with application - can be easily overdone. I only wear one product at a time - i.e. either the perfume or the body lotion - the two together are waaay too much for my nose.

Yudum

This starts off very powdery and then starts to get floral and spicy. İ liked it but it is a bit sharp. İn all of the comments it says that the staying power is low but it has been 6 hours and i can still smell it from a far.

Liebetx

I am amused that another reader commented this was a good bedtime scent. Tonight I crawled into my PJs, wrapped my cashmere robe around me, and felt like I needed a warm and comforting yet pretty scent to wear as well. Bvlgari Pour Femme is what I decided on.
This is my first time wearing it. It was a blind buy months ago from a discount retailer and I just haven't felt the urge to wear it until tonight.

I bought it while the weather was still warm and tend to lean more toward light citrus or clean scents during summer. I remember at the time, it reminded me of Chanel Cristalle.

But tonight, I skipped the Black Orchid and the Gucci Guilty (my usual snuggle scent) and opted for this delightful juice. Cedar is high in the air tonight and my nose is a little off so my beloved Black Orchid smelled like wet rotting flowers! Pour Femme is a rose knock out tonight. I am feeling so much love for this scent right now, I am afraid it may have to become my daily wear. It's just beautiful.

Clean rose without being too soapy or too musky. There is a light powdery note but it's very, very subtle. It's light enough to get away with a one spray walk through if needing to be office friendly or give it a three shot for a bit more impact. I took a 3 shot: hair, back of neck, and one to walk through and it's definitely not overwhelming.

New favorite!

Roseblight

I adore this fragrance but it lasts, no joke, about 20 minutes on me. So disappointed.

sweetviolet

Pure elegance in a bottle. Never fail to get a compliment. Classy and refined...love it!

macheprofumo

Bvulgari Pour Femme is certainly not a perfume for every woman. It is a super classy perfume for a special lady who knows how to carry herself with finesse and elegance. This perfume can be worn day or evening (or night). It has been and will ever remain a classic perfume. It is a very Italian ambiance scent. The perfume is symbolic of the distinct and exquisite jewelry created by The House of Bvulgari Gioelli in Rome. I have been wearing this perfume since it was placed on the market. Signed, Ma Che Profumo!

SeleneHdez

jengima

hate the scent, love the longevity.

perfumeaddiction

I tried so hard to like it. The scent really is lasting on me and a quality perfume. But unfortunately it's that darn rose. I can't handle any rose scents. It just reminds me of my Grandmother's rose hand soap. She loved rose. If your a lover of rose you will certainly enjoy this. And it's got great lasting power. But for me unfortunately nope! Someone else had mentioned this and at first I did not agree but now looking back it does have a smell of rose scented fingernail polish remover and again it's the rose. I just have negative associations with Rose not that it's a bad odor or anything like that. It just evokes some not so good memories for me..

pretty mini collector

Smells exactly like Aquanet hairspray.

Bihter

Reminds me of Calvin Klein Eternity since they share the same nose. I like the powderyness in both. It is a comforting, even a bed time scent.

maeverohan

I love this for daywear. Very light. At first I thought it smelled like fairy washing up liquid (not the end of the world but not what I expected from Bvlgari) however it changes very quickly on my skin and becomes a fresh variety of florals. Very nice and not heady like I find a lot of perfumes. This I would wear to work as it's not very invasive and doesn't seem to last that long.

janella13

Sorry, nothing for me. At all.

SolangeN

Tested and tested and still get nothing but faint rose plus the alcohol itself. Same story with Jasmine Noir (faint Jasmine) and the Violet (water). Lots of artificial chemicals maybe - don't have the problem with any other house.

Toom_Snoopy

Smells like paint thinner for me. :(

ivyheel

I really enjoy this. Violet! It's ultra feminine and a little bit powdery when it dries down. There's no chance in the world that anybody will find this overwhelming as long as you are reasonable with application. I'm not sure if I got an older bottle, but on me this does not last more than 2 hours. Maybe you will have better luck with that.

Annemarie

I'm fascinated by how diverse this perfume is to people. Some people especially notice rose and jasmine, others fruit or spices. Some say clean, some say musty, some say sweet, others not. Nearly everyone agrees on violets and powder, and on the femininity of the fragrance. But while some say classic, understated and versatile, others say boring. A few people get good longevity but most don't.

Me, I say violets, a strong tang of tea especially in the opening stages, some mixed florals and a hint of fruit, some slightly musty powder, and a warm and comforting base. The violets lend the fragrances a nostalgic, feminine air but the tea keeps it refreshing and prevents it becoming sentimental. Sillage and longevity on me are only moderate, sadly.

In terms of character I find Bvlgari pour Femme calming and relaxing. If I'm out and about, or at work, I prefer something that makes more of a statement. But BPF is lovely on a warm evening. After a strongish opening it settles into a gentle veil, almost a not-perfume. It amply fulfills Sophia Grojsman's imagining (which she mentions in a YouTube interview) that a busy woman who comes home from work and still has an evening of cooking and chores ahead of her, needs a dab of perfume to get her through and 'make her feel like a woman'. I can't imagine heavy hitters like Paris or Tresor working like that, but Bvlgari pour Femme certainly does.

scandi

Beautiful!!
I mainly pick up violet, jasmin and mimosa with just a slight touch of lucid vanilla. I agree with previous reviews that it has a mild soapy touch to it.

This perfume is quite strong and the sillage is rather heavy, one spray will do fine. Lasts for around four hours.

sashaville

This is my signature scent, even though i would never want to own a perfume i have used before but this i wouldnt hesitate to, i sooooo love this from start to finish, its elegant, classy, exquisite and makes one feel really sexy and it sure lasts for hours. The bottle is also a piece of wonderful art, though i havent used it in years i must get me some the next time i go through duty free of any airport.

Paolina

Wow, I really love it, this perfume is simply fantastic, very feminine, elegant, sexy and long lasting, there are no more words to describe this scent!
I often tried to use another fragrance, but this is the best I've tried and smelt ever, :)

czerwinski1

Maybe baby powder, but high class, very elegant and exclusive. I must e buy this one.

Shemarie

This perfume started my perfume journey. I did not like at first. I did not understand how something that starts out so plasticky could dry down so beautiful. I almost put it on the scrubber list. It dries down to a soft mimosa and violet with a ligh touch of a sweet rose powder. It is not for someone who wants instant gratification. Classic. I love it.

fllorre

I normally love Bvlgari fragrances, but this one is pure baby powder on my skin. Not my fav.

Dionne1024

My coworker turned me on to this one. It's a mild scent for the winter.

DariDahlia

This is so pretty! I have loved everything I've tried by Bulgari, they make beautifully crafted fragrances. Pour Femme could be Chanel 5's quiet sister. It's so feminine and innocent, which is very sexy. I think this would be a great wedding & honeymoon fragrance, also nice to wear to bed. Yet very professional, too.
This would be a great gift, I think it would be a sophisticated fragrance for any woman- for a college student, graduation, bridal shower, bridesmaid's gifts, mom, grandma, wife, girlfriend. You can't go wrong with it!

kakaka2

Bvlgari Pour Femme seems very classic to me. It is a common powdery soft floral, it does not possess the ambition to be anything that it is not - not stunning or unique, not even memorable; just nice and subtle, a little shy.

Violet and iris are most prominent from start to end on my skin, soon after woods and roses emerge, dry down is musky vanilla. As I already said, it is a pretty standard fragrance which would make a good choice for the powdery iris lover who would like to smell beautiful without making too much noise.

dorristheloris

This smelled nice in the bottle, but when I sprayed it on, I was overwhelmed by sickly sweet violets - like wearing a packet of parma violets for the first couple of hours, which really put me off. Eventually, after 2-3 hours it settled into a much mellower, warmer fragrance, which was much nicer.

For me, unfortunately, the initial overpowering rush of violets was too offputting, but if you can stick through the initial stage it could be worth a try

lisaivette

I did not know quite to expect after reading reviews. For some it was to strong, for others barely there. The opening for me was the best. Very sweet violets, which I love. 30 minutes later, I can smell the tiniest bit of jasmine and rose. Being very light, this would be something I would wear to bed.

mahandl

I was quite fond of this fragrance -- violets, violets, violets! very soft, very feminine. But when I met my husband, he couldn't stand it -- said it smelled like a grandma fragrance (probably the powdery dry down). I wear crisper florals now. At the perfume counter, I'll smell this one for old times sake, and honestly, it's still so beautiful but now that I've moved on, it's somehow a little dated like my favorite cashmere sweater. This is a very genuine smell, lasts all day, and it doesn't "try too hard" like many of the newer Bvlgari fragrances. It's not offensive, but neither will anyone ask about it.

erica_74

It is one of the very few roses I can wear.

Very feminine fragrance and very very elegant.

The rose is not a bulgarian or morrocan one, but think of the scent of dewy fresh yellow roses. The rose note is uplifted by violet and peach, which give it a fresher accord. Iris powders it and gives it warmth, while carnation gives it a spicy turn.

A classic!

piapedersen

This is an intimate scent. Lovely complex and very feminine. But it's not noticed by many, since it's only you who can actually smell it. My mother-in-law introduced me to it, and I find it very mature and sophisticated. In the beginning it's mostly flowers although I sense something lemon-ish, but after 15-30 minutes iris and pepper emerges. The dry down is non-existing on my skin, since the scent has disappeared long before. I htink this goes well with a fur coat, high heels and a beutiful dress.

anna.dkr5

Not bad, but it smelled very generic to my nose. A friend was wearing it today, and I could barely smell it. I smelled it on her wrist, and then caught a whiff of it while we were in the car. Nice, but forgettable.
