Oud Zanzibar by Blend Oud is a Amber fragrance for women and men. Oud Zanzibar was launched in 2018. Top notes are Melon, Lemon and Bergamot; middle notes are Spicy Notes, Magnolia and Jasmine; base notes are Sandalwood and Patchouli.

"Oud Zanzibar translates the embrace between the ocean and the horizon: the union of two worlds through the eyes and spirit of a young Masai who, while offshore, looks at the water touching the sky. The fragrance is a hymn to the scents and colors of the island of Zanzibar: that of the sea, crystalline and pure, and that of the celestial vault, infinite and immutable." - a note from the brand.

In my new obssesion that is fragrance, there have been very few fragrances that are suitable for the summer that have excited me.
The market is overran with clean, soapy, fresh out of the shower fragrances that are mass appealing. None of have them have provided me with what truly evokes the season of summer to me.
The hot and humid air, fresh ripe and refreshing assembly of citrus fruits and melons, the smell of the late bloom florals of the magnolia trees in the southern USA, the woodiness of being underneath an oak tree to shade from the sun.
This wonderful fragrance evokes such feelings in me.
It's as if I was back in my hometown, eating cantaloupe under a magnolia tree whilst drinking an Arnold Palmer.
The citrus from the bergamot, the florals from the magnolia and jasmine, the very prominent melon note, the creamy sandalwood, with spices and earthy patchouli to round it all out.
A brilliantly orchestrated representation of the summer season in a hot climate.
10/10 would recommend. This is my new summer go to for the hottest of days.

IMO there is nothing aquatic here, a very creamy sandalwood coconut piña colada. I would describe this as gourmand, not ozonic. Very beautiful tho!

Blend Oud Zanzibar is an exquisite fragrance that takes the wearer on a sensory journey to the enchanting island of Zanzibar. Its opening notes of exotic spices immediately captivate, evoking the island's vibrant markets and rich cultural tapestry. As the scent unfolds, a heart of opulent flowers and rare oud wood emerges, creating a luxurious and deeply seductive aroma that is both complex and harmonious. The dry down reveals a warm, sensual base of amber and musk, which lingers on the skin, leaving a lasting impression. Zanzibar is a masterpiece of olfactory artistry, perfectly balancing the intensity of oud with the warmth of spices and the sweetness of florals, making it an ideal fragrance for those who appreciate depth, sophistication, and a touch of mystery in their scent profile.

Very boozy opening. Like a citrusy/melon beer. I do get the magnolia right away. Imagine laying under a magnolia tree on a hot day, buzzed by 10 a.m. It’s both drunken and pleasant. Almost a spa type of vibe. Getting your feet rubbed beside the pool, under the umbrella, eyes closed, and with a glass of hard juice in hand.

It’s quite long lasting, but overall linear. All through the dry down the predominant note is definitely that drunken accord, even getting stronger as it dries down. Almost fermented melon. Which doesn’t sound that pleasant, but it’s overall nice. Can become too much near the end of its life, so be gentle with the sprays.

The creamy sandalwood in this reminds me of the sandalwood in Pasha de Cartier Parfum.

This is like sitting on sandalwood log, eating sweet melon&surrounded by flowers while watching the ocean.it really captures image of exotic island. Parfum does transport you to nice, warm and calm place.
It is creamy, sweet, citrusy and fresh at the beginning. At the dry down it is sandalwood. Performance is also not bad for this type of fragrance. It stays very long and projects strong first a few hours. Perfect scent for summer evenings. It is one of my summer favorite.

One of the most beautiful summer scent ever created. Rich citruses with the vaniliac feel of magnolia and the smoothness of sandalwood. If longevity would be better, this would probably be my all time favourite.

Perfume frutal con fondo de sándalo. Extremadamente adictivo. Notas muy naturales y brillantes. Me recuerda a Humboldt, de Fueguia. Un sobresaliente.

Dear people from the most Nordic parts of Northern hemisphere! If you ever consider blind buy this fragrance, because you see florals and citruses in fragrance pyramid - I would strongly suggest you to think twice.
These citruses are not the ones what will give you solely acidic freshness because "citruses usually do so". These are Southern citruses that give you quite strong, even minty, yet zesty feel. And the melon you see here is not that watery fruit with "barely there" taste you can buy on Christmas at your local store. This melon has developed rich sweetness as it has seen loads of sunshine and heat in her growing plant's life. And the sandalwood with spices will remind you that you actually wear perfume from Middle East.
From Voyage Collection, this is the lightest, most "transparent" fragrance, if we may call it so. Although unisex, I find it rather feminine.
If you find it too strong at the cold weather, I would definitely suggest to try into a warmer weather as the perfume tends to open into layers and the winter flatness, that might bring mawkish sense, disappears.
I definitely love it!

Update: This perfume is amazing! Diverse like chameleon. The more warm the weather turns, the more woodiness shows out, the less fruity sweetness can be sensed and... the more masculine this fragrance turns. I initially thought it's my nose that has adapted to it, but I also was questioned if I am wearing male fragrance :D.
I have bought blindly several perfumes, but this is something I've been trying out for several times and felt quite familiar what I have bought, but it still can't stop surprising me. True unisex fragrance, and I still love it!
Definitely try it out prior purchase!
