Bad Boy smells a lot like, Armani Stronger with You Absolutley, and Polo 67.

TheScentsei

Smells great, like a warm, freshly baked chocolate cake/brownie. Nice bottle and atomizer too.

TheFraganist55

Hot take, but this is the best Bad Boy. The rest of them are just sort of weird. This one is warm, sweet, and spicy. In the dry down it gets fresh. Performance is not the best, but it’s definitely the best smell. Cobalt smells like synthetic garbage after the opening, the elixir is okay i guess, Parfum is an acquired taste, and Extreme is a watered-down 1 Million Lucky. This one smells the best even if the performance isn’t as good.

bugthug

fragrantica crashed mid review so i’m just gonna do a short one now, for its price not worth, performance isn’t good enough, it smells pretty generic, better bad boys and better colognes in general. winter, fall, night primarily.

it’s a pretty good smell yes, but not worth it’s price

XDnob

This is the fragrance that got me into this whole community.
The fragrance itself is really sweet and spicy on the opening. Amazing panty dropper and good for night outs. Nowadays I'd only really wear this for dates but the rizzability is definitely 10/10. I see comments saying this is a hit or miss scent and that not many people like it but irl I've gotten many compliments for it.
As I said the opening is sweet and spicy and lasts around 5 min. After that you can start smelling the fresh sage, here it turns into a really nice fresh and clean smell. After this however the fragrance starts to wear off. The projection and longevity aren't the best I'd even say they're really poor. If I were to buy again I'd get the parfum version.
All around a nice and underrated fuckboy fragrance. Definitely gatekeep this if you get it because ion want this to get turned into the new sauvage or gaultier.

In short, if you wanna get girls, get this

cpsottak

I dont understand all the hate on this fragrance, IT SMELLS GOOD! This is one of those fragrances that i love spraying just to smell, i dont get sick of it! plus my wife likes it

WRS

Tried a sample of this for the very first time today its one of those fragrances that you think you've smelled/owned before i couldn't quite put my finger on it if it was an old Axe/Lynx then hit it me what this reminds me of its like a more modern refined better version of Diesel only the brave done better than any of their own flankers. If you like Only the brave and want something more modern ,richer, darker, not as piercingly sweet then this is a winner.

Moniquesl

Bought this for my boyfriend who is coincidentally an electrician... It's corny but it works.

Smells amazing. A spicy vanilla cocoa scent, but don't be deceived, it's not just "simple and gourmand". Throw on the pepper and woodiness and you have a more masculine, mature equivalent of Good Girl - but for men. I love wearing GG while my boyfriend wears BB, it's cute.

I also steal it when I want something beautiful and non offensive with good longevity. Also this is half the price of GG in Australia. I am happy to wear it as a 30yo woman.

Carolina Herrera Bad Boy, so recently got this, have slept on it for about 2 years because the name and bottle made me think this was going to be aimed at the 18-21 year old demographic and thus it would be a sugar bomb, but looks are deceiving at times and I wish I'd given this a smell sooner as it is a nice addition to my Carolina Herrera fragrances, CH Men Prive being in my top 5 favourite fragrances generally.
So is it a youthful sugar bomb? No, but that is not to say it isn't sweet, but the sweetness is tempered by the choice of notes.

The opening is a blast of bergamot, peppery notes and dusty cacao, so you get a fresh spicy opening with a subtle sweetness. As Bad Boy dries down you start to get the clary sage coming forward giving more sweetness to the mix, but it never gets bubblegum sweet, as you go into the later dry down the tonka bean also adds to the sweetness, getting a little vanillary, but the woody notes and peppery notes stop this fragrance from ever getting too sweet & youthful smelling. I think I also pickup a little ambroxan or maybe amberwood which isn't listed here in the late dry down.

Longevity: 7 hours (8 to 9 hours on clothes)
Projection: 45 minutes of strong projection, then 3 hours of moderate projection, then it slowly becomes more intimate for the rest of its life on skin.
Overall score: 8/10, Sexy versatile fragrance for any age above 20

jbaby283

Tried this in store once weeks ago and I still can't get enough of it. It's pretty much the male version of Good Girl. Messy, synthetic, sweet, juicy, ADDICTIVE. It's so yummy and sexy and if I had a bf, I would want him to smell like this but I don't know if he would want to because just like GG, people can absolutely love it or absolutely hate it. It smells like masculine yet sweet, juicy, ripe pineapple with underlying bitter, dark, sweet cacao. Very ambery as well. If you love GG like I do, you'll probably love this.

tybasedgod

Spicy sweet nutty and very very hot yet clean, and i like it a lot. Good fragrance, works well even in hotter weather, very seductive, masculine and sexy, projects and preforms very well. Clean aspects make for a good school/work frag, and the nutty sweetness makes it sexy enough for a date night fragrance.

ThatBlindbuyGuy

Though the bottle is a little juvenile, the fragrance itself is not and would suit any age over 20,
it definetly has that CH DNA, which I'm glad about, don't know why after Carolina Herrera retired from being the main creative director why whoever took it over decided to take CH in the direction of Paco Rabanne atleast aesthetically, I'm not sure this was a good idea, as I've noticed alot of people can't get past the bottle design and judge the fragrance somewhat by the appearance / impression.

My first impression is that is a very versatile fragrance for all occasions and the projection so far is better than moderate in the first hour.

I will update for a full review soon...

yarala

It's good, sweet but not annoying what I have noticed that it smells more fresh in summer and smells like a summer fragrance in summer but in winter it's strong

G0rebloom

The clary sage ALMOST saves this, it's so close to being good but there is just one too many notes here. Definitely Dark Temptation Axe Spray. Not an expensive smelling fragrance but someone younger than 21 might enjoy it.

ellis_negron

Sage and Cacao, tonka bean bomb. And to my nose it's not pleasant anymore, I thought it was okay at first and then I only started smelling the Sage and Cacao. Sickening to me, but maybe not my cup of tea.

schnoorzoky

Not a fan of this one but I don’t really like sweet gourmands anyway.

firefliesjr

I don't know how people are getting anything from this other than a teenage boy's deodorant. It's like putting one's face in the stinky pits of a younger brother. Juvenile.

Godsgift21

This my favorite fragrance 10/10

Zactel

I’ve smelled the many flankers, but this one is still the best. The bottle and name of the fragrance are tacky but the scent itself is very good. That cacao overdose with the spices is very good, and in the air it is extremely good.

Bizzy1995

A fresh yet warm and sweet fragrance. The bergamot is there but quick to fade. The sage adds a sweet balsamic scent while pepper notes helps level balance out the sweetness from the Tonka and cacao. I think this is well blended for sure and definitely see this being a crowd pleaser. This would be a great fall time fragrance imo

Toji glazer

my most complimented fragrance my mom and friends favorite aswell dont listen to frag snobs if you want a pleasant compliment getter that isnt too basic get this or the extreme

feilldji

This was my first fragrance ever. This is kind of what got me into collecting fragrances. I don't like as much now but i do still wear it from time to time because it still is a nice tonka bean fresh cacao scent. It has decent longevity and good sillage but nothing crazy. definitely a great school fragrance that won't offend anybody. 6.4/10

codename_

I smelled it at a store and thought it was alright, after I got home I started smelling the paper strip and was amazed by it. So I ordered it and when I got it I kept smelling it every hour it’s that good. It’s a mix of freshness/sweetness. It also has a woody tone too.

8.5/10

Bibi16

This stuff on a CLEAN man is just....SEXY!! Makes me want to dive into their necks. Fellas this is the pantydropper frag, do with that as you may! I want it for myself as well, just too goooodddd.

ZeaMoore4

Few fragrances come close to the level of sexy the OG Bad Boy by Carolina Herrera does. The deep, sexy coco, tonka bean and bergamot combo, with a mild touch of peppers and cedarwood. Can't say I get much of the clary sage, but the finished product is a pure masterpiece.

Opening: Peppers, Coco and Bergamot floods the senses. A fantastic vibrant opening that really sets the tone.

Mid: more of the tonka bean and cedarwood comes through and the pepper disappears. Now it's full on seductive gourmand.

Dry down: the bergamot lingers in the background with the tonka bean, cedarwood and coco making a mouthwatering scent. The projection is reduced a bit. But for a Bad Boy who likes to get close to the ladies, that's not a problem.

If you like coco and gourmand, this is 100% a safe blind buy. And it's pretty fairly priced, with discounts and sales all the time. At the very least test it. You'll probably love it.

All that keeps this from being a 10/10 is... Nothing. It's a 10/10 for me. This is in my top 10 fragrances of all time. I Pray for a true parfum version of this in the near future, with the same notes, scent and balance, but in a parfum concentrate.

If longevity is an issue for you, remember that it's a eau de toalette. It's not supposed to last for more then 3-5 hours. I get more then 5 hours personally, with moderate projection. And the dry down is as good as the opening.

Toji glazer

dont listen to fragrance snobs good scent more unique than most.o

sh83

I'll admit this one grew on me. At first it was a bit off-putting due to the sweetness as I'm not a fan of this kind of sweet smelling scents but after a few tries I started to enjoy it. There is some chocolate in there but it doesn't stand out as much as others would lead you to believe. As Eros is one of my favorite fragrances, I was initially a bit confused to see some reviewers comparing the two but as I've smelled it more, I do kind of get that comparison with the Tonka bean but more on the dry down than the initial spray. I can see myself wearing this on a cool fall or winter evening out but can't imagine this being a daily or work scent for me due to the sweetness. Plus I'd be a little embarrassed if someone happened to ask me what I was wearing and I had to tell them "Oh it's...Bad Boy".

nicholassua

This is my top 2 <3

Marcopoloo22

How can someone not like this. It's one of the sexiest smells. Modern and well blended. Wish they had a stronger version. This and cobalt are amazing youthful smells. Most ppl like old smell, Royce rolls, and Rolex. To me they are ugly. I appreciate youthfulness, design and sexiness... Whole point of buying a cologne is to be sexy...

gusduvall

Warm, chocolatey and spicy. Popular, a crowd pleaser and rightfully so. It manages to be different from other fragrances while still being mainstream. Executes well in terms of longevity and sillage for an eau de toilette. Perfect for fall nights. It’s giving exactly what it’s called, a bad boy. It could either be a black-suited womanizer guy, or a baggy sweater and jeans, high-top trainers bad boy. You pick. The chocolate is very prominent though and can be a bit nauseating at times. Intense fragrance. Standard male scent with a niche vibe that managed to become a crowd pleaser for its warm, familiar yet spicy and seductive side. Safe blind buy (the original version, as the other variants do tend to get a bit more extreme). 8 out of 10.

Homofragrantica

Let's keep it simple. This fragrance is nice and I think a fairly safe pick for gifting your brother or boyfriend. It's potent yet soft to the nose It really has that clean freshly showered vibe with that blue boy kind of vibe without the disgusting sharpness that some mens scents have. It lasts ages and when it mellows down it becomes softer and closer to the skin and there you really feel the base spices come through and warming it up. And the bottle looks pretty cool!

William C

The initial spray is strong and offputting, which is where the Axe comparisons come in. The first aroma has strong and unpleasant oud and musky notes.

The scent becomes more tolerably spicy with time, or maybe it just wears me down to submission. A woman told me she likes it on me, for what that's worth.

This is a fall/winter or night-out scent. Don't wear this to the office.

I would not repurchase this EDT, although I will continue wearing it on rare occasions.

Gamecocks1!

I don't understand you men out here for real this is a good fragrance. Women love this shit! I agree with the 2 comments below me it is not synthetic and does not smell like axe bull shit. I have a lot of fragrance and yes I have a lot of niche fragrance. I'm not knocking this fragrance at all it is a dam good one these people don't know anything about fragrance

Mortekai

Guys..... This isn't Axe. It's only Axe if you cant smell properly. It's smooth, well blended, it's a good fragrance that's mass appealing. If you think it's Axe for teenagers it's because you have the olfactory maturity of a teenager and can't differentiate fragrances well. It's a fairly basic fragrance, but it's still solid. Nothing synthetic about it. Sometimes less it more in perfumery, sometimes you don't want 50 different notes. It's kind of like drumming... you can't solo for the entire song unless you are in Tool.

If you don't want a designer fragrance at designer prices go spend double or triple the price on something niche. If you're a snob don't buy cheaper designers just to bash on them. It's like many other fragrances where the majority like it or love it and then a wild ass group of people come through and give it the worst possible ratings across the board.

As for the actual fragrance, you get exactly what you would expect. The bergamont and sage give it a nice, fresh opening. You get hints of cacao from the back. I'm not getting any peppers off the top, but you do get a slight hint of that Tonka as well.

Overall it's just fine for what you are paying for. Nothing spectacular, nothing terrible. It's good.

Versace_Eros

Only scent I have ever washed off my arm.

Smells like Axe (the chemical concoction not the tool.)

I think it was called dark temptation? (more like puke temptation!!)

the scent Is called bad boy but after making this, I think Carolina Herrera is a very naughty girl!

Until next time,

LukasB03

Not quite understanding where the hate is coming from on this fragrance. I got a bottle for $50 at a discounter and I’m very pleased for that price. It doesn’t smell like axe to me, it has more depth than that and it doesn’t smell synthetic to my nose. I’d say retail would be a bit overpriced but if you can find it on sale or at a discounter it’s well worth it!

Nula

BAD BOY EDT = AXE.
RETURNING IT TO STORE ASAP.
PRODUCT VALUE $3.99.
WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT FOR WEARING TO THE SKATING RINK SATURDAY NIGHTS IN MIDDLE SCHOOL.

Youngkilla3000

I think people that crap on this fragrance has too high of expectation to an entry level designer fragrance, like this one. Yes this smells very mass pleasing, to an extend "basic" but isn't that the purpose of designer fragrance is? Anyway I've smell this and comparing it to Axe Chocolate that I own, and I could say it has some similarities but it's 60% max. Bad Boy is much smoother, deeper, and more complex comparing it to Axe. This has more similarity to Invictus Victory, but this has fresher, less ambery dry down comparing to Invictus victory. Overall, this fragrance is a nice, simple, sweet fragrance, with good performance (7-8 hours, with medium projection). Don't overpay by paying retail price on this, I bought mine preloved for $50

OG_Stewie8564

Great and interesting bottle. The only disadvantage is that it has somewhat of a generic men's scent -- but with a twist which makes it better. Overall, 8.5/10 👍

osc375

You are with the bros after a party. One uses Invictus, other one uses one million and other one uses Eros. You are all sweaty after dancing and drinking . A breeze combines everything and you get a good whiff. Bad boy

Scilletok

Big cacao vibe in the opening, very unique and pleasant. I don't know how anyone could dislike the scent. I can only imagine a bunch of snobs would hate this fragrance. It's a nice modern crowd pleaser while still being fairly unique.

No2pencil

At first when I bought it, it smelt very generic and Axe-like (Temptation I think it’s called). However after not wearing it for a bit, I actually love this scent. It’s nothing groundbreaking but very pleasant to my nose. Longevity is moderate, but sillage is very loud for the first couple hours

Rogerant

I think that tester I had was cobalt but got confused. So when I first bought this I was a little underwhelmed to be honest. I agree it is very generic at first sniff however this has genuinely grown on me over time. To my nose it shares some dna with y edp but more spicy probably the pepper. You can smell the cocoa in the mid as well. For uts time this was a little odd but there are so many similar scents out there. I like it I prefer it in the colder months tbh

BadrakhSmellsSexy

It smells good and it might just be my skin type but it lasts the whole day at school for me on skin.

Jbreezo823

Smells amazing and sexy love the chocolate note but it fades away too fast I even spray my clothes with this and no sillage and projection not even 4 hours it’s a intimate type of fragrance but I did get this for a good price 5.1oz for 67 dollars please don’t pay retail and buy from a discounter if you don’t want to be disappointed 6/10

Max Tatum

One of the most underrated perfumes out there. Bashed by frag snobs, niche aficionados... To them, you need to learn to appreciate more basic, mainstream, but good perfumery. Not everyone wants to smell like civet urinated on a 300 year old coffin.

colognefreak

Super opening with the Bergamot and Pepper…very attention grabbing. As it dries down you get the Cacao and spice. Its very a nice transition, albeit a bit too short. For comparison, it’s in the same vein as Versace Eros and Eros Flame with the strong Tonka at the bottom, but the Cacao note in “Bad Boy” is warm and sexy and perhaps a bit less juvenile.
The final drydown leaves you a spice and wood masculine presence and it does have that familiar Tonka with an ever so slight hint of chocolate still present.
I wouldn’t overspray this …four sprays works and it’s perfect for fall/winter wear.
It’s not completely generic, but if you own Eros or Flame, you have the already have the idea .
I would stick with evening wear as it’s a bit more on the “a night out on the town” side and it might draw you some looks at work or the grocery store. 😜
Worth owning? …I own both of the Eros frags, but the Cacao note and the unique bottle makes it “purchase worthy” for me as a collector.
If you don’t have either of those, it’s worth consideration.
Definitely buy it from a discounter, same as a with lot of these designers that resemble one another.
All that being said, I like it ok and it will be in the fall/winter rotation.
BTW, I think the naysayers just don’t like the marketing or the bottle.
It’s far from the bad frag they make it out to be.

Generic good designer sweet fragrance

Chala88

I dont get the chocolate here, its quite generic and it seems boyish frag. Its not a smell i dislike, but i dont like to wear it either.
Although I believe this is a good daily signature scent for <23 yrs who likes using 1million at night/goin' out. Same mass target.

InkFragrance

Like a mixture of Invictus and One Million.

danilodeathayde

It resembles Versace's Eros, but somehow even more generic. It reminds me a bit of Y Edp too, with the sage and a hint of green apple to my nose, but without the nuances and the combination of freshness and sweetness that is quite specific and pleasant in Y.
The name is cringe-worthy, but it matches the fragrance precisely because of the irony in the term "bad boy" being so boyish.

I feel the same way about the bottle. In this regard, it reminds me of One Million, which I always found quite tacky in its visual presentation and name. However, I hadn't smelled the fragrance before, and when I got to try it for the first time in its Parfum version, I was surprised by its complexity and originality. On the other hand, this one feels uninspired, with a generic sweetness trying to be as unadventurous as possible for a night-out vibe.

Edit: On a second test, the sweetness seems even more generic and cloying, reinforcing my initial bad impressions. I can't detect the peppers; instead, I sense a very sweet vanilla combined with a fruit smoothie drenched in sweetness. There's also an artificial chocolate note that's far from pleasant and lacks depth.
It's not exactly off-putting, just like the scent of a ready-made chocolate drink isn't off-putting, but it can become nauseating quite quickly.

KerriZ

I feel like this is a very lux-gen fragrance if that makes sense. Herrera is luxury but also for the masses...so it is generically appealing. Light warm spice with a hint of sweet. For an EDT it lasts a long time and is priced right.

Amadevs

This one smells really weird to me.
I like it, but sometimes I can get a whiff of a man odor, even sweat
and this with a combo of tonka make it too awful and thus risky to buy it.
I will pass.

SpiderMarc

Blind bought this and really didn’t like it at all.

FloridaFragLover

Even though it's not listed in the note pyramid, there's actually coffee bean in this fragrance but blended exquisitely in the background barely noticeable. I can pick it up

RIIM04

Didn't like it, smells like chocolate

h149

To me it smells just like those black ice pine tree-shaped air fresheners hanging off the rear view mirror of some douchebag’s lifted truck.

Just for fun I asked my +1 to let me test it on him. knowing it almost certainly was not going to work out. First he scoffed when I said the name, upon seeing me brandish the lightning bolt he said “you want me to try THAT with THAT bottle?” and his final comment was “smells like Axe.” Too good for Bad Boy I guess.

skibbybabap

Doesn't suit the name. Like, it just a kinda smells good, but not it's not ambigious, mysterious or bad in any way. Would definitely be better of settling for something else. Not that the scent is particurlaly bad, it's just not as good as other options.

2ScentsWorth

This reminds me of the original CH Men DNA. I can definitely sense the "cut grass" accord which is most noticeable in the opening and first 60mins, but where the CH men had cashmere note, this has more tonka bean and cocoa. It has a long life on my skin, but in the end the tonka bean dominates. I like it, but wouldn't rush to buy it . That said, it seems to be liked by people who get a whiff as they pass.

jchildres23

Definitely a nighttime fragrance. Very warm and comforting scent to it, I don’t pick up on the harsh synthetic notes everyone else talks about. Fairly well rounded and signature worthy.

SenselessReviews

This ain't your granddaddy's cologne! "Bad Boy" takes your nose skinny dipping in a pond of pink pepper and naughty banana. It evokes a feeling somewhere between a passionate kiss from your lover and Hulk Hogan clanging your skull between two cymbals.

"Bad Boy" is less of a scent and more of an experience. It makes my venus flytrap open up like it is lying on Dr. Phil's couch. It is for a man who does not mind standing apart from the crowd or making passersby lightly vomit inside their mouths. Wear "Bad Boy" to a funeral and steal the show!

Talk about masculine! "Bad Boy's" heavy musk levels make hair sprout out of my chest like a hundred tiny cans of silly string. You will feel like a man-skank as you strut around the gravel roads of rural Ohio, the fluff of your cheerleader pom-poms blowing in the wind. Easily a five out of five.

Ham23

She literally got chocolate, and added some spices, and sweets. This is an 8/10.
It's unique.

aycsol

my signature scent

Coopz_

This is far too overhated, the dry down is godlike and it’s super mass appealing. It’s like a mix of a blue fragrance and a sweet one (like one million) and it just works 10/10

ideal.my.fav

Nose blinding fragrance due to the ambroxan which is not listed in the notes. It will smell more pleasent to people around you. Sexy fresh chocolate mix with masculanity. Good signature scent because almost noone uses this one out there. You will smell unique.

Scent 8/10
longevity 8/10
projecton 7/10
price 9/10

jakerei

I admittedly was a fair bit hesitant given the name and the tacky lightning rod bottle, but Carolina Herrera doesn’t disappoint with Bad Boy.

Really nice cacao note with just the right amount of spice and woodiness. Projection on this is great, well beyond what I was expecting from the EDT formulation. As far as longevity goes, I tend to get a good 6+ hours out of this with just a few sprays.

If you were thinking about getting this, definitely give it a try.

Cholera

I don't know why this gets so much hate, it is really good. Sweet and spicy chocolate, if you like sweet fragrances you will for sure love this, it is really sexy and will get you compliments. Yeah, it is lacking creativity and uniqueness but works wonders in cold weather nights

Monke go brr

I rarely do put age reccomendations into reviews as I think anyone should wear what they like... But the other day that I tried this after some time, and it totally struck me that this fragrance just personifies a teenager going to the club. The scent is not bad, but as someone over 20 I just would be a bit ashamed to wear it. Does not suit mature guys at all.

I hope that you don't find this review offensive, but it just totally struck me as a teenaager scent.

Perfect Shot

Ok so this was not what i expected.
I was expecting sweet and spiced chocolate. Its not that.
It does start spicy, but its much fresher and generic. Id say its closer to something like Versace Pour Homme than to something very sweet. Lower quality than VPH imo because the spicyness makes it feel more artificial.
Average performance.
Has some sort of invictus vibe with something darker in background, but that makes it worse than invictus.

Dont get me wrong, not a bad fragrance, its mass pleasing, but nothing special or worth the price. Much better fragrances out there for the price.

410RudyRuuu

although i do like this, just go for the extreme version, its just a better, more attractive, deep and slightly mature version of this ESPECIALLY in the dry down

good luck fellas🤝🏾

Kaapo Palmén

It is extremely sweet and instantly caused me an headache besides the fact that i like sweet fragrances

gianfrancoceppi

Opening is good but the drydown is goddamn horrible, so synthetic and cloying. The only good thing abt this fragrance is the bottle lol

Ejsulli820

My husband had this cologne and I feel compelled to write this as he agrees - it was the worst cologne he had. It is very cheap, musky and sweet smelling. While he felt obligated to finish the bottle, he did not enjoy it at all. Do not recommend at all. If you’re looking for a sophisticated, fresh fragrance for your husband/partner, I’d recommend Acqua di Parma’s Colonia club. It smells amazing and is not overpowering.

monsieur.moustache

Let's get this out of the way. The bottle is tacky and the name is somewhat off-putting.

Nonetheless, the fragrance itself is actually quite nice, especially in the drydown. Performance is also decent for an EDT.

MrSubrosa

I have read a lot of reviews but I am no wordsmith however I feel compelled to review this.

I am currently trying a lot of different scents to start a collection and I have had an absolute hate moment with this, my wife hates it too. It opens up with what feels like Violets and powerful at that, like the sweets we used to have as kids. It then seems to dry down to a powdery version of that smell. I have no idea if it is my skin/oils etc but this is definitely a very strange smell for a man from my perspective.

I have recently acquired over 20 scents in various sizes and I am becoming familiar with notes etc, nothing in the notes warned me about what was released when I inhaled it. I will say this, I've washed my hands and wrist and it still keeps coming.

Migu8l

This scent is a good value if you get from discounters.
By far one of my favorite openings in a fragrance. I love the cacao and I wish it dried down to that scent but does move into a more tonka scent.
I’ve gotten a few compliments stating that I smell “sweet” and someone always mentions chocolate.
I wouldn’t suggest to blind buy this but it is a great scent!

Adincjacobs

Did not enjoy the opening, reminded me of the devil's green grass, The mary jane, marijuana vibes. Once it settled , really enjoyed the mix of sweet and spicy . Would not be my first choice though.

weazul

One of my favourite openings ever

ramparab

warm spicy amber, but also slightly floral. maybe some sweetish chocolate as well. very well balanced, fresh and refreshing.. initial hit is fresh, but develops to more complex bouquet in 45 minutes. great for all year scent. lasted 4 hour strong on my skin

Sam96438

I get a cat pee smell/vibe from this. I assume it's from the amberwood, as I have this issue with most other fragrances containing it. Shame

Granny Autismo

Most of the hate on this fragrance seems to come from the fact that it smells like axe dark temptation. The fragrance itself tho is very nice and mass-appealing; it's mildly sweet and mildly spicy with a focus on dark chocolate.

BebedordeCafé

Fruity opening, can smell a bit like "grape". Then it drydowns to a powdery cacao and tonka with a hint of a little "greenness" to make it somewhat masculine, which is what I think people call "generic".
It's a very nice scent, and it offers what it does without hiding you behind a bunch of notes which aren't there: this is cacao-like, tonka mostly. Its honestity is pretty good, and the smell is too. It isn't something that would impress you in the vein of sweet scents like Ultra Male, but this one is less likely to be disliked also.

frankcoelho

Bad Boy EDT is delicious, semi gourmand, and quite chocolaty/cacao. Love the smell, nothing special or innovative in perfumery but quite addicting. I have the EDP now and these two are completely different; yet to try Cobalt.
This is more of a love making fragrance than going out with friends, etc. Sits closer to the skin than the EDP (which does indeed project much more and for longer). I'd compare this to a refined chocolate deodorant with more mystery and sensuality.
Does not bring me to a more juvenile aspect, but rather mature sexy. Definitely more versatile than other sweet fragrances being wearable during the day and year-round (aside from Summer imo).
Sure buying this after testing, but never paying full retail, only through discounters.

Lorenza de Teressè

i liked it when i bought it, but i noticed that it smelled like Axe Dark Tempation. It was liked by the girls during the time i used it.

BallSniffer

My current 25°C > dumb reach, good performance, excellent projection, and smells nice. What more could you ask for?

Fragrancee123

I tested the white bottle, (Superstar), so peoples said is the same so i will writhe the review here.

Its smells Great and Modern can be wear all year around i think, coz got freshens in it, and yes its remember of Eros but Better in my opinion, Yes its little bit youngfull and night out scent. The rate of 3.5 if not justified, this is much better.
Also give me little bit of Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme vibes.

Toivo

Pretty easy to wear. Not harming anyone, but nothing special. Really sweet. Reminds me of nightvision edt for some reason. Might be good for clubbing .

rainydays

This is a very well-balanced fragrance (I should clarify, I am referring to the EdT). I get a very peppery, citrus opening (more of an effervescent pink pepper as opposed to heavier black pepper). There's a touch of sweetness in there that softens it up, but it's mostly fresh and energetic without being too aromatic. It has a classic masculine vibe without feeling outdated. Loved it enough on my husband to purchase it for him.
Edit: After his 10 hr shift I still caught a bit of the cocoa powder drydown. Not too sweet but pleasantly warm. I'm impressed with the longevity.

Frok

in my opinion. if you want something unique, spicy and a woman magnet. this is not it.

GenUhVeev

This is the scent your line cook one-night stand doused his unwashed Amyl and The Sniffers band t-shirt in.

machoscent

Very nice fragrance. Slightly reminds me Versace Eros with a little twist. It's addictive and I kept smelling it on my arm.

segamaw

Nice crowd pleaser a lot of compliments from women!

bajablast

As soon as i put my nose to it, I made my boyfriend buy this. Sexy.

Sweetboy05

The only people complaining about this are those crappy snot-nosed "Enthusiasts" who just like to hate on everything that's not "complex". There is nothing bad about this fragrance. I mean, look at how popular it is. I smelled it at a Macy's a couple years ago and loved it, and so do the majority. I got it a Christmas present and used the whole bottle in three months. An absolute love for me.

TRmen

Hell NO! What the hell is that? It is full with Black Pepper and nothing more only after 1-2 hours later, you can smell a bit chocolatey smell but pepper dominated everything. If you want to add pepper to your meal then you can spray it because I'm sure that it definitely works. Believe it or not when I smell that fragrance I always sneeze...

Thatsnotbennings

On paper this smelled awful but on skin I really enjoy it. Definitely reminds me of eros as others have said. Strong chocolate and nut smell, basically Nutella 😆.

May be different for others but does not last very long on me, projects well for 1-2 hours and after that is a skin scent for 3 hours.

Perhaps the performance of the extreme will be better 🤞

LEM922

My friend was wearing this yesterday and I really liked it. There's something in here that smells almost minty, or eucalyptus like? I think it might be the sage. This reminds me of Versace Eros, another men's fragrance that I absolutely love. Hell, I like bad boy better than I like good girl 😂 it's not a very strong scent, but you can definitely smell it. This is really inoffensive for cologne.. Pretty safe, slightly spicy and somewhat herbaceous. I feel like this is one you could wear all year round at any time of day, so it's pretty versatile. Definitely like this on a man, this is a decent one.

Toobhai

Nice as it's says daily usable, night mostly! as it's have fresh muscular light chocolate type warm amber gourmand.. Did well as a designer scent 8/10.

Swolecido

I personally wasn't that impressed, but my girlfriend likes it.

It's like Versace Eros with chocolate. The opening is very nice but the dry down not so much. The chocolate fades quickly, which is unfortunate since that's really the only thing that makes this fragrance unique. Without the chocolate it just feels like a very generic scent.

EG123

As a girl reviewing this I obviously wouldn’t wear this myself, but I feel like I’ve smelled this general scent on many men, or something similar. You just smell of generic man scent to me with this on. It’s super peppery, a bit of chocolate, not so sweet, mustyish. That being said there is something slightly addictive about the generic man smell. I prefer something slightly sweeter, fresher, and much less musty smelling tho. But wear what your heart tells you to wear not some random fragrantica commenter:

Miggo46

Bad boy edt is a personal favorite, very sexy youthful scent. It’s a hit or miss with other people but I get a handful of compliments with it.
If you’re into mature masculine scents, skip this. Id suggest this if you’re a teen - mid 20’s.
Im 20 and this attracts girls my age, so definitely good.

OllieH163

The more I smell it, the more I'm intrigued, but not in a good way. It smells like a slightly more expensive of that horrible lynx deodorant: dark temptation. The chocolate note hits me straight away, but then afterwards it gives way to a malty pile of hay which is actually quite nice. Very commercial, pretty plain, nothing too special - really nasty topnote which is far too sweet and smells like how I'd imagine a 14 year old boy would want to smell.

S_Mazza

The two main notes I sense are "hay fever" and "menthol". Something in this fragrance seems to scratch at the nose. I see it described as "pepper", but I'm not quite willing to agree. It seems to have a certain "cut grass" similarity with CH 212 and some Lacoste fragrances, but it's just the tickling, dusty feeling of cut grass, with none of the sweetness. Before I washed this one off, I asked someone else what she thought of it. Her comment: "It makes my eyes water." OK, it's not just me then.

Lovingyourscent

This smells gourmand. It's very similar to L'Homme Prada Intense, but less candy-like and more neutral and woodsy.

"Rather than being creamy-sweet, tonka bean has a more neutral sweet tone with nuanced notes of cinnamon spice, almond, cherry, and sweet hay."

realjoshuamccoy

Honestly, I've never had a fragrance that I didn't like, and I don't know if I just had a bad batch or what, but this was like horrible on my skin.
It smelt just like a thick syrup that was suffocating me, and other people around me. Not really anything that I could pick out scent wise- it was just bad.. maybe it was a bad batch, but I won't try, or buy it again.

Icarel

A perfume, which, even though I would describe it as aromatic and therefore not my cup of tea usually, is very pleasant to wear and with character/personality. Profound but not too much. It does not leave indifferent; and can be very versatile because it allows having a certain presence, notably thanks to its aromatic side. Towards the masculine side tho and suited for dates or for drinks IMO. Work-friendly but don't overspray, keep it at a minimum in terms of spray haha Not a blind buy because it's a love or hate one! I regret a bit the performance, but a good 7 or 7.5/10

poopyslapper4782

Saw all the bad reviews, and I must say I do love this cologne. It's a wonderful spicy fragrance with some chocolate. My only issue is that it lasts around 30 minutes on my skin. It disappears so fast it's unreal.

samudex

Sweet and nice smell. There is no cinnamon, but the is something like it, maybe is the whole mix of pepper, tonka bean, bergamot and cacao.
It has some similarities to 212 vip men, but this is more complex.
Is there a popcorn note or is it just me? I tried it on dry paper on a store.

felioo

This fragrance smells pretty good, i only bought it because i got a big discount on it. idk why many people dislike it I think its a good fragrance thats unique

Rock76

This smells like rich chocolate with cocoa. Smells so good! Along the Invictus Victory DNA. Cannot understand why so many “dislikes” here on Fragrantica. Maybe people tick “dislike” so lesser people will buy and this fragrance will be less common. LOL

Poccha

This perfume is just awful. Smells like someone put it in a fancy bottle & add in chemical mixtures gone wrong. The first time i smell it i got hit with headache & nausea. Same level of awfulness as Paco Rabbane 1 Million. 🤮

Swolecido

I wasn't expecting much after seeing all the negative reviews however I was pleasantly surprised. The cocoa is very pronounced, this fragrance smells like chocolate cake. The bottle design is very unique as well. I may have to add this to my collection but will probably try some flankers first

cologneboi

Versace Eros with chocolate.

GagMyFrag

I don't get the hate for this fragrance. It's young, fresh-spicy and the cacao note gives it a little unique edge. I blew right through this bottle because it just smells so good and i'd argue that you can wear this in summer, also loads of compliments. Wearable but the best time would probably be for a date, however i wore this everyday.

Think slightly bitter cacao, fresh pepper, light herbal notes all tied down by tonka and amber.

eko.mtfkr

I smell chocolate in it which is absolutely lovely but performance is kind of a letdown. Suitable for a date. Smells nothing like Invictus Victory to my nose.

Hari2023

Just a smell. If someone randomly mixes a few chemicals and comes up with a fragrance, Bad Boy would be one of them ("cloy" is the word I am looking for?). It hints One Million cologne and perhaps Invictus. Bad Boy is similar to BVL Black, Mont Blanc Legend, One Million, YSL Eau de Perfume etc. If you love the said heavy fragrances, you may like Bad Boy. It is too strong, lasts the entire day and some could feel headache/nauseating. In my opinion, it is not a calming, mesmerizing smell.

Rory75

It's strong and it lasts long, these are about the only upsides I know of it. It's a hodgepodge of woody, spicy, citrusy scent. A little too chaotic for my taste

Afrikano

Smells pretty good, but reminds me a lot of Eros EDT with added chocolate in it. Could have easily been a flanker to it to me. It’s a nice scent but since I have Eros it would be pretty redundant to own as they both have that typical modern “men’s cologne” dna. But great for anyone just starting out who wants something that just smells good and will get them noticed.

EDIT: Also there’s no reason for this to be rated as low as it is. I feel like people on this site just choose to hate on things they know smells good to everyone. This easily could be a 4.3 but I feel like the niche heads downvote it cuz it’s not filled with oud or church incense

HôtelParfumo

I frankly do not understand the low rating for this. It’s priced decently, smells and lasts great, albeit being a bit generic… but CHBB does it well. The bottle is off-putting for me, I wished they would re-design it. I struggle to fit it into my perfume closet, size and look wise.

It opens very fresh and a little spicy, very enticing. The dry down is more warm, inviting, revealing more of the spiciness and sweetness. Feels a little dark and mysterious at the base, like a seductive gentleman withholding his secrets. It’s a familiar scent, like it has been done somewhere before, yet I can’t put my finger on which one of my perfume collection it resembles. I would say CHBB suits ages 25 and up, and it should appeal to most people. Good for most weathers except the blazing hot ones.

Final score: An easy 4.1

Dumbplings

Lol sounds like that Pofatis person below tested the wrong fragrance...you got the "Le Parfum" not the EDT...common mistake since the bottles look the same. That wet towel smell you get is the cannabis in the Le Parfum. So you wrote your review for the parfum not the EDT

Andrey Georgiev

Way overhyped and overpriced. The smell is good and crowd pleasing but nothing special.

8B1M3

It's a chocolate delight. The smell of sweet cacao is detectable at the first spray coming out of a somewhat controversial bottle designed to look like a lightning ray that sure stands out among anyone's perfume collection. Bad Boy by Carolina Herrera is nice, subtle and long-lasting. Got a compliment on the first night I wore it. Better suited for Fall and Winter, for special night-outs. Puzzling how Fragrantica community rates this gem so lowly…

Dorianl

Surprisingly fresh smell, as in fresh that I would not expect to be cold weather scent but sweetness (sweeter than Le Male Le Parfum) balances that.
I sampled both of them simultaneously and would pick LMLP instead of it, my female friend however liked this one more if that matters to you.

jpower3145

its invictus with chocolate which is nice to my nose. might smell just like invictus victory but never tried that

Dizi100

Ive finished 100 ml over 3 years while im usually finishing 100 ml in 6 month, i mean its a seriously good scent, but i cant really find where to wear it to cause you limted to 3 hours or less of scent before its totally disappears. Not recommended unless your desire is small meatings or short events.

TonyG

I actually was really surprised by this one. Quite different to what I expected. Peppery and sweet. Nothing spectacular but I’d wear it not and then. That bottle though……..yikes…….

pofatis

This is horrible and so overpriced. I sprayed the tester sample and to me it smells like a used towel that I washed at a lower temperature and it didn't get washed properly. This is offensive. I'm disappointed because the CH Good Girl line for women smells amazing, but the Bad Boy line for men is a big no no

Pyae Hein

Wow this one sexy, love it. Night time and cool weather.

miljenko

I normally hate sweet fragrances, but this is something I would actually buy for myself and wear during colder months. I don't understand the hate this fragrance gets, because it's really inoffensive and pretty much every guy could wear it and it would fit him.

sravz

Nothing special but a non offensive mens cologne. Also bottle is wierd. Maybe it will grow on somebody over the time. I just smelled it in the store, so nothing much to say.

Phil_McCracken

Doesn’t butter my parsnips. Can see the appeal to some people but just doesn’t do it for me, reminds me of a gym changing room kinda smell. Bottle is shit too

Schmellin_Good

Some of the below comments are hysterical. A few might even be the most inaccurate descriptions of a scent that I've seen here on Fragrantica.

BlueMoonStudio

My Scorpio teenager just came home with this and I love it. Unisex but more masculine in dry down. Pepper smoke.

marsfragrance

I’m not too crazy about this fragrance. It is pretty nice smelling, but it’s kind of simple. It has a chocolatey and tonka base, which is what I get the most out of it. The girls like it a lot from what I’ve seen, so if you want a simple people pleaser, then this could work for you.

A Kent Kidd

Wife loves it, I love it. Nuff said.

Jackson Rogers

Probably not my favorite fragrance but believe it or not 3 sprays of this stuff last all day. gets me at least 2 compliments a day at school. Works well on my skin and would recommend it. Also not as expensive as most other fragrances.

LauraSheridan

I pick this one when I want to have all the chocolate sweet vibe - I'm one of those who love it and it works fairly on my skin bringing out all the cacao vibes. While not for every day, I do pick this one out a lot nonetheless for when I can't settle for something else right away.

GagMyFrag

Obsessed with this and went through the whole bottle in less than a year. I don't really think of this as a super warm fragrance at all, it's a sweet, chocolatey, woody mens fragrance which leans more unisex but the pepper notes balance it out and gives it a little freshness and edge which makes it safe to wear most times of the year. However the 'chocolate' isn't really the gourmand element IMO, it smells like more of the actual raw cacao bean or dark chocolate.

Addictive, balanced and lasting power 6+hrs before needing to reapply, lasts longer on clothes and definitely gets you a lot of compliments.

Angelbdivine

This is an interesting scent the dry down and initial opening reminds me of Pi by Givenchy. Cozy, and gourmand in a seductive way. Yet, I’m getting wafts of a Ozonic water? It’s an odd mingling. Once the scent dries it not terrible but I much prefer Pi. I’m probably reaching but, I’m getting the vibe this scent might be an artistic nod to Lucifer. The lighting bolt bottle, the Ozonic, and earthy notes. (Falling from heaven to earth) Hence the name Bad Boy. There’s something lusty about the gourmand-y notes of pepper, Tonka bean, Amber and Cacao. Yet, it’s mixing with the almost holy notes of sage, and cedar. It’s strange but when it comes together it kinda works.

SmellyCat85

I bought this for my fiancé who isn’t really fussed about what he wears as long as he doesn’t smell like a farm 🤷🏼♀️ I bought this after reading reviews elsewhere saying it was sweet/leather etc but honestly I smell screechy overpowering generic shower gel type scent. Fiancé says he appreciated the gift but thinks it would have suited our teenage son better especially with the “Harry potter style bottle” (not my words!) gutted because I really wanted to like this and I know he did too. Gave to an unbothered teenager instead.

norm1

"Amber Spicy" 2019 Quintin Bisch/Louise Turner
Notes: Top: Black Pepper, White Pepper, Bergamot
Middle: Sage and Cedar
Base: Tonka Bean, Cacao, Amberwood
Thank you Fragrantica the driver of pretty much all of my purchases!!!
I am new to Carolina Herrera (CH) and have seen mostly her garments in select outlet/department stores. They are truly hot.
This fragrance has the nice cacao and it is all new to me. I like it real well. Somehow I seem to feel there is an aquatic note or accord that is aquatic. I think the Sage and Cedar is making a kind of 'green sea foam bubbles that can be sniffed on the surface of the ocean'. I keep coming back for more and will soon get a full bottle.
This scent does not box you in like maybe an animalic or 'dumb guy that thinks he's hotter than he is' scent. I suppose it is just all in the state of mind, but CH Bad Boy can be elegant or casual. The mood can be as varied as your own.
My goodness, I think this scent my have more class--even.
Sillage is really nice with a slight wafting quality. Performance is acceptable but not like an Oud or something.
Very classy yet playful. Sophisticated but top fashion as well.
I purchased a broad array of genuine sample vials--Cobalt, Bad Boy, EDT(has leather). I am still playing with them all and they seem to be not 'run of the mill' or 'similar to this or that.' No. . . I don't think so.
All of them are so interesting and have the perfect flair. They are not cheap but look to be worth every penny.

ricarvic

What’s not to like about this one? Yeah, maybe the bottle is a little bit tacky and maybe the openning is a little bit weird in the sense that the cacao note has an earthy feel, but then it becomes very pleasant throughout the life of the scent. One thing I really like about it, is that it’s not linear at all, instead it constantly evolves. First as I mentioned, the openning with pepper and cacao, then the sage and bergamot give it a fresh citrus feel and then it dries down sweet due to the tonka and the amberwood. It also has good performance in general and gets lots of compliments. It definitely has its unique personality! So again, what’s not to like?

Mjchaelj

Very chocolatey yet green and earthy. Interesting concept, and better smelling than the parfum version. I really like it.
8/10

Adog22

Chocolate yet fresh and citrusy. Dry down looses some of that chocolate but turns to that bubble gum most designer fragrances do now a days. Reminiscent of mens scandal

jesz

This generation's Jean Paul Gaultier's "Le Male". Spicy. Popular with teens and twenty-somethings. I've smelled it all over the place. Bottle is shaped like Harry Potter's scar, and he wasn't a bad boy, so this is kind of odd to me.

Siavashlotfi

I tested it on a test tribe, belive me or not after seven days i am getting the performance
Chocolate tonka + freshness
Good party boy i think!

Dumbplings

This is one of my biggest compliment getters and one of my all time favourite scents...however today at the grocery store some lady was talking to her friend and said my perfume smelled like burnt rubber. So unfortunately I won't be wearing this fragrance again. It's not really burnt rubber smell though it's citrus & tonka, but I can see how that peppery spice can smell like rubber to some people

Scotty123

It’s a sexy fragrance for sure. It has that typical Amber wood that’s in every single fragrance these days. It’s pretty nice in the aspect that it opens fresh and citrus but turns into a dark daring sexy cocoa mixed with the tobacco like Tonka and that perfect amount of Amber wood completes it but I almost get like a leathery scent in the air when I wear it.. It’s strong in the opening! And stays pretty well on my skin for a solid 7 hours. Overall it’s worth the price I’d say if you’re looking for a nice date night, fall, winter, night out fragrance.

BigBobRoss

Smells very earthy with a strong peppery chocolatey vibe with a hint of citrus to sweeten the scent a little.

Smells similar to Eros flame to me

rosebudhoney

On my skin, this is a sexy, earthy dark chocolate, with a hint of spice and citrus. On my clothes, it’s heavy on the balsam and amber, with the other notes taking a backseat. My girlfriend literally cannot keep her hands off of me when I wear this. I feel like the name is very fitting - when I wear this, it makes me want to grab my leather jacket and go smoke a cigarette over a cup of black coffee all Wattpad style. But, it’s actually pretty unisex in my opinion. It’s warm, earthy, and edgy - perfect for a fall date night.

Yessamin

This new EDT is sophisticated and striking
Top notes are bergamot and pepper.
Middle notes are cedarwood and sage
Base notes are tonka bean and cocoa.

Oriental, aromatic bold and sensual.

Honestly, to be an EDT it is quite strong on application. I also think it resembles a deodorant but depending on the PH of the person wearing it changes a lot.
I don't like it on me but find it pleasurable on other people.

pearsonns

I'm a woman and I swear by this. Not because it isn't masculine. Or that it leans feminine. I just really love the scent. I layer it with a few different "girly" lotions and this packs the punch and sillage I desire. I get the pepper but not much cocoa. Either way I'm a fan. It's worth smelling if you like really bold feminine scents.

Bigmike650

I don’t know why this fragrance gets a bad reputation in the fragrance community, because call me basic if you want but I love how this fragrance smells👌🏽 If you like sweet but without being too youthful type gourmand fragrances then give this a try. This stuff smells amazing in the fall and winter especially at night 🔥💪🏼

Alexandru-Marius

@Overdrive I wouldn't call people waking up from the stupidity and hate of fragrantica's review section a reformulation, but whatever makes you enjoy the scents you love is ok.

Detman101

Bleh...I came for the Cacao...found none.
Gave away to an associate.
Hoodwinked again.
My kingdom for a REAL chocolate frag that is obtainable...

Ladiiphresh

I don't put much into negative reviews because at the end of the day all of these scents are subjective to ones nose, chemistry and preferences. And some people are just fragrances snobs.

This came in to me as a sample. I heard that it was deemed unisex so gave it a go and it's such a pleasing scent. Not everyone wants to be punched in the face and choked out by a fragrance. This one instead draws you in. The fresh and spicy aspects play well off of each other and there's a sweetness weaving throughout the notes tying it all together. I can't imagine anyone being near you and being put off by this fragrance. It's a crowdpleaser for sure.

The amazing thing about these fragrances is the interaction it has with your skin. Bad Boy is loved by both my husband and I. How it plays off of my skin is different than how the notes develop on his. Making it a unique fragrance for us both even though we're using the same thing.

My skin holds fragrances very well. However, my nose loses connection with many fragrances after about hour 2-3. This fragrance even after i've lost track of it is still projecting to other around me. I have no issue with the bottle, i've seen worse.

Sample it. Test it for yourself.

Dumbplings

I feel like I have to occasionally comment on here just to balance out the negative comments and remind people that this scent is one of the biggest compliment getters from girls and girls love it! Fragheads hate it, but the mass public love it.

What does it smell like? it smells like Lemon & vanilla, it smells like chanel allure homme sport but much sweeter. And the dry down smells like eros + chanel allure homme sport...it's basically a fresher version of eros and a sweeter version of allure homme sport

The hate probably comes from people who hate eros...because the scent actually is one of my favourite and trust me my sister loves this stuff!!

So i'd like to take a moment to write this comment and give this fragrance the love it deserves, not because I personally like it but because it's actually a good scent that deserves more love and plus have to balance out the negative reviews so people don't think it's a bad scent

If you want a sweet scent that's not overly sweet and actually balanced with fresh delicious lemon, go with this! and the compliments from the ladies is just a bonus...Performance of this is beast mode too

Deelecto

As lots of reviewers below note, many of us who’ve been living with more niche fragrances can no longer abide soulless, corporate, designed-by-committee synthetic scents. And this one … well he is a Bad Boy. With rich parents. And now he’s taken over as landlord at the family properties and he’s keen to raise your rent, and he’ll shut off your utilities in the middle of winter if your payment is a day late. When he comes around each month he’s proud to show off another new woman hanging off his arm, but you know the truth is not that he’s a stud … it’s that none of them will stick around after experiencing the yawning vapid evil behind his jewellery, expensive car, and smirking paper-thin veneer of a civilized face.

ydvo

The perfect scent for a rainy day in spring. Has that fresh spring vibe with the citrus notes but keeps you warm in the rain with those warm base notes. Very good scent with an awful bottle.

GalvatronType_R

Just an okay fragrance, not offensive but doesn’t stand out in any way. The opening citrus is pleasant but then it turns into a sweet pepper heavy scent in the middle. The fragrance overall has a heavier sweet countenance that is good year round but mostly at night.

Probably a good fragrance if you can find it at a heavy discount. Big points for the unique lightning bolt packaging.

eraroma

This is clearly a divisive frag... but I personally really like it, dare I say even love it.

All I can say is ignore the reviews - good or bad - and give it a smell for yourself; You be the judge.

Anyway: a choco / vanilla / slightly spicy yet fresh & uplifting while also relaxing piece. For some reason it just reminds me of what my skin would smell like if it was turned into an appealing scent. Kinda weird I know lol... but I vibe with it. Feels signature scent worthy for me in the Fall... good in the winter and spring too maybe not hot summer days imo

igalmusic

It's fresh, woody and sexy! I love it

Aslanyus

Smells so smooth, fresh, and, sweet.
Very well blended fragrance.
I get pepper, bergamot, cacao, sandalwood, and some fruity note.
One of my favorites
Don't listen to anybody a lot of people hate this for no reason I tried it after Aaron Terence Hughes's review.
He was right this is an absolutely beautiful fragrance.
Then I bought it.

Afc_Croatian

I agree with @F1A and his review below.
When I tried this fragrance my first thought was "wait a minute I thought everyone online hates this?" I understand everyone is entitled to their own opinion but like I swear some people don't even bother to give things a chance.

For me, This is a very nice fragrance. There is some sort of "deluxe edition of a gourmand fragrance" feeling you get with it. The Chocolate note will either feel animalic for you or very appealing.

I am telling you, you will get compliments if you wear this on a night out. Don't be discouraged by reviews! Try it on yourself first!

aholubek

This one has that overwhelmingly sweet DNA similar to the Good Girl but something just smells off about this one, like the fruit notes/accords went bad and somewhat sour during production. Not attractive at all and frankly kind of offensive. Didn't enjoy this one whatsoever, genuinely one of the worst fragrances I have ever put my nose on.

2/10

frederickf_

Gorgeous in the dry down. That’s when the cacao takes over and the fragrance blooms into something very nice. Will rock this again and again.

So far this and joop Homme OG.... Are the two most horrible fragrances in the history of fragrances..... What a load of garbage.... I get no notes just a burnt plastic rubber mess..... That smell when tires burn on the tarmac when cars are drifted....... Im flabbergasted as to how bad this is...... Phew. 😱🙆♂️🤢🤮🥴😵🤯

I do not understand the negative reviews. Fragrantica users tend to be fragrance snobs who are looking for that one niche, complicated fragrance that most people won’t even like. Bad Boy will definitely get you compliments on a night out, or at least positive interactions- which I had plenty of tonight.

As for the fragrance, it smells great. It’s similar to Invictus in sweetness but does not have the aquatic notes - so it’s not salty. I do actually also get a faint hint of 1 million EDT. It’s sweetness is balanced by the citrusy bergamot and the spices (pepper) add a nice twist which is definitely noticeable when smelling it.

Projection is great, longevity is moderate, depending on what you spray it on. It would last longer on a hoodie than on skin or a shirt.

Remember you are better than 99% of men by just applying fragrance and smelling nice.

After a few months of getting to know this fragrance and growing my collection even further, I came to a recent conclusion. This has a smell of a few other frags blended into 1. It's slightly Invictus mixed with Le Male & a little Ultra Male as well. I own all 3 of those and this definitely throws off the smell of all 3 blended into 1.

this mf said this is "just a fresher version of eros". ARE U OK? eros is as fresh smelling as this. the apple and mint creates a fresh scent, overall eros is a bright and sweet+fresh fragrance. this one is darker, has some freshness and is sweet. neither work better in warmer weather.

I've gotten the chance to run a little experiment involving this fragrance. I've been getting a new sort of perfume sample: a piece of glossy card with a peel-away piece of foil which reveals a small amount of liquid perfume within. I've been wondering about the accuracy of these samples, so I waited until I got a vial of something to match one of the peel-away samples. Lo and behold, I wound up with both a peel-away sample and a vial sample of Bad Boy EDT!

I tested the two samples one day after the other, vial first. I found that Bad Boy opened with a big juicy burst of grapefruit (the notes listed here don't match those listed by the retailer, I'll put those below) that smelled so good, then faded quickly away to the creamy tonka and cocoa base, with an artificial sage-ish heart to complement. The tonka is pleasant and warming, and I detect a vague woodiness as the fragrance develops. It does all this while also have a sort of generic cologne cool scent alongside it. After a few hours, it's just the warm, creamy base notes and a vague acridness that I notice in a lot of colognes. All in all, I got maybe 6 hours out of it. I personally don't find it particularly remarkable but it's not bad either, especially as it isn't overwhelmingly strong.

The peel-away sample was a ghost in comparison, however. No grapefruit in the open, just goes immediately to the middle stages of the perfume, where it's herbal/tonka/woody/cool. Except it was far less complex, felt absolutely flat, and was a little more metallic to boot. The performance was extremely poor in comparison, there being basically no projection at any point in the process. It became much harder to detect after about 3 hours, at which point it was just a vague tonka smell. It felt like a vague gesture in the direction of Bad Boy EDT, a sort of hint of what the idea at best.

So, in conclusion, these peel-away samples don't hold up too well. I was surprised; I thought they might be onto something by having this little airtight seal to keep the perfume liquid. But I guess it's just not a good way to store perfume. Maybe it's better if you use these peel-aways soon after getting them, but who knows?

Notes as listed by CH:
Top - grapefruit, white pepper
Middle - vetiver, clary sage
Base - tonka bean, cocoa

Got a free sample of this in the mail today from Paco Rabanne. This Fragrance is a cross between Versace Eros( not parfum) and Invictus. its OK, but nothing I would reach for.My first wiff f this comes off as invictus like then with the dry down i start to smell what I thought was mint, but not the creamy mint that Eros Parfum is now known for. Not sure if their is mint in it at all, but the back of the tester does list the scientific nomenclature ( if you want to know). The juice settles as a skin scent by hour 2, and the sillage is not really good either unless u put 5-6 sprays on, but you dont want to do that. But to be honest, a reviewer below said it best..just get 1 Million. But for me, either buy Invictus( or 1 million) or Eros Parfum..but pass on this. Sorry.

Dumbplings

This is just a fresher version of versace eros, which is good because eros is my favourite fragrance of all time. There is some slight differences, this is more citrus and less sweet and it's not really a clone either but smells similar enough and probably the closest you will get to eros. Some people think eros is too sweet, so this is perfect for those people who want eros with more freshness. This is seriously underrated though, I just bought like 20 of the top mens fragrances and I ranked this right at the top one of the best which beat spicebomb extreme & stronger with you absolutely.

This is a safe buy, this is what girls will love and it's going to get you a lot of compliments. I will never understand why the score here is so low, it has to be the best balanced sweet/fresh fragrance that exists I don't think there's any that do it better than this to be honest. Masterpiece fragrance in every aspect...and I mean that. It easily beat YSL Y EDP, Dior sauvage, aqua di gio, guerlain l'homme ideal, spicebomb, stronger with you absolutely, dior homme 2020, givenchy gentleman boisse, prada luna rossa ocean, bvlgari man in black, chanel allure homme sport eau extreme, bleu de chanel, mont blanc explorer, creed aventus, invictus, azzaro wanted by night, etc....I had bought them all and this one was way better than them all wasn't even close really. This is best balanced, fresh citrus, sweet dry down but not overly sweet. This shouldn't have anything less than 5 stars on the ratings....most underrated fragrance ever

Stoicchild

As a woman I'd suggest just go buy 1 million by Paco Rabanne. You'll receive more compliments, projection and longevity. This is literally a dupe of 1 million but less intense, less masculine, very weak. Carolina Herrera perfumes are mostly designed by Louise Turner and she always makes the weakest perfumes.

Martin1483

I've been wearing Dolce & Gabbana The One edt for a couple years now and this gives me a similar vibe. Not at all the same but there's a resemblance and feel that they share. I love wearing both around the house in the evening as both are very relaxing fragrances. It also has a closeness to Invictus Victory. I blind bought this based on YouTube reviews and Ash from Gents Scents.

mevans

Wow, tough audience I guess. For me, this is not worthy of the low rating. It's not a superstar but I would certainly appreciate it on my husband. A little sweet and creamy with tonka and cacao and then that kick of spice . I like the original Good Girl for myself and I see this being the masculine counter-part. I'm not sure what is so "bad boy" about it and the bottle is interesting if not very practical. Longevity is better than expected and it retains the sillage well. Hours later, it's still quite noticeable. All said, I really like it.

jdssmith94

This is a pretty nice smell! Subtle for a tonka-forward designer, especially compared to screamers like Eros. I think the cacao gives it a nice, warm tone that feels a bit more intimate than what you normally get with this scent profile. It's not cutting edge, but I've gotta give it my stamp of approval as a semi-dumb reach for cooler weather.

Nuhgwin

Received a sample of this and it's not personally for me.
However, if you wish to smell like dark chocolate this should be your first choice.
Upon the initial spritz, I immediately picked up the chocolate reference.

lovethatsmellalot

I have several colognes that do chocolate, but this one is unique because I can instantly identify the chocolate note, yet it is not like any gourmand, sweet chocolate that I have smelled. It still smells like a more traditional cologne. Mostly I think that notes are a gimmick, but this definitely has a chocolate (not vanilla) note. Al Rehab's Choco Musk smells of syrupy vanilla and marshmallow chocolate, Dame Chocolate Man smells of an ultrapotent dry chocolate, Ferragamo Uomo is more a gourmand chocolate, and Boss The Scent Private Accord has a different take on chocolate that I find hard to describe but falls more in the gourmand territory and doesn't really smell like a traditional cologne to me. In the late drydown of Bad Boy, I find this almost cola facet. Bottle-wise, I like having a few weird bottles in my collection (the others being CH 212 Heroes, EH Skulls & Roses, Reyane Tradition Insurrection, Joop Summer Ticket 2016, Paco Energy, etc). What's not to like about gold and black Shazam? Overall, I like this one.

I also bought Bad Boy Le Parfum, which I find quite different. I was expecting to like Le Parfum better, based on other reviews. However, the herbal note in that smells dirty somehow and rubs me the wrong way; I like it less than this one to wear at least.

Monke go brr

This smells like fresh dark chocolate. Since I love dark chocolate I absolutely love this.
I don't like the bottle but This really is cacao version of Versace Eros, if you replace the vanilla in eros with Cacao you get this. Nothing bad boy really about this if that's what you are looking for. Also I can't imagine buying this with the silly bottle. I would have to buy 10 ml decant or something.

undergroundotterpanda

It's not bad but it's quite generic. I don't picture a "bad boy" wearing this. I would say this is a unisex fragrance. It gets better on the dry down, more amber, while it's too green and peppery just sprayed.

A Kent Kidd

I truly enjoy this scent, idk why people are so pissed off at it. A crowd pleasing spiced chocolate and tonka bean frag that has an ambery nuance. It's wild how some in fragcom can get so upset at a fragrance because it is simple or appealing to the masses. Not everthing has to smell like a barn 🤣. I prefer this over the ever so popular Diors and Versaces. That's my opinion and I'm happily sticking with it.

ohrangez

I just got this in a tester and I'm glad. The fragrance starts off well, the citrus and amber smell great but after around 30 minutes it changes. In contrast with some comments, I can smell the cacao come out (along with the sage) and it just smells awful. It smells completely artificial and synthetic and reminded me of the chocolate calculators I would buy as a child. The longevity is great but it smells horrendous so it is not even worth it. 2/10.

ricardocarvalho87

It's using the same musks as Versace Eros, so you might get a similar vibe.

ZighFi

I have the first batch from this fragrance and i can’t smell invictus or azzaro wanted by night. The old batch has a more unique smelling dna tbh. To me this smelles like a dark chocolate with a hint of dark spicyness.

snnalty

It is not new, it is not unique just ok. Opening of the scent reminds me of azzaro's wanted. Both of them have bubblegumy, fruty fresh vibe. Almost identical for me but after opening cacao and tonka shows themselfs and scent is changing. Not for older people i mean 30+.it is definitely younger crowd pleaser.

I hate sissy sprayer

Generic. Boring. Whatever

AbdoulAllie

IT'S OKAY...
Carolina Herrera does an amazing job with their female lineups but for men-------not so much... I really wanted to enjoy this one but the performance is so weak and projection is lacking... Would definitely not be purchasing again, test out before purchasing a full bolt!!!

5.7/10

manygaga

I got a sample today and this smells like a lot of other new designer fragrances out there. This is reminiscent to paco rabanne invictus victory, paco rabanne phantom, azzaro the most wanted, ... Not my style...

meama

the best part is the cacao note during the firt seconds after spraying....then it's the collapse, it looks like they had to fill out the requirement book for 5 perfumes at the same time ... and finish with a 3 € body spray at the supermarket. Headache guaranteed

Bad Boy EDT (BB EDT) is a more than solid release! All the negative reviews are most likely from posters merely that stopped by the mall and spritz a few sprays on themselves (likely on top of an existing fragrance) and decided to write a review about BB EDT. Which is quite tacky and doesn't add any value to the website.

If you enjoy fragrances like Invictus Victory, Azzaro Most Wanted, et cetera, you will probably like Bad Boy EDT as these fragrances are pretty much in the same scent genre - but with distinct differences; but have the same sort of vibe and purpose. However, think Bad Boy EDT smells a bit better and has a higher quality formululation that Victory and Most Wanted. Just for the record, I own all three mentioned fragrances.

In terms of how BB EDT smells. I primarily smell the tonka bean, cacao, amberwood, and cedar notes in BB EDT. Which are all blended smoothly without creating an overly sweet scent either. I should add that these particular notes have a "natural-like" feel as well. BB EDT isn't a sweet, synthetic bomb as many people have described. Especially if you have a more experienced nose wearing various categories of niche/indy fragrances.

The other note that I get throughout the life cycle is the bergamont, which gives BB EDT a nice and pleasant zing of freshness. Also giving BB EDT a nice pop throughout its life cycle -- without being over done. Now the pepper notes are pretty subued to my nose after the first 15 minutes -- which his a good thing too me, as I am not a fan of pepper notes if not done right. I am unable to discern any of the other listed notes in BB EDT; although I do at times get a scent that smells slightly powdery from time to time -- but the powdery scent is quite nice and very soft.

With everything being said, BB EDT can be worn by males of all ages. But seems to be geared more toward the 20+++ again group. Although, men that are 40++ can easily wear BB EDT and will probably find it quite appealing! Since BB EDT doesn't have the classic cheap high school or college under classman vibe. BB EDT is probably best suited for the fall and winter weather, but could easily be worn in the spring and summer evenings as well.

Performance is solid and will likely yield 8++ hours for most people. Project is modest, but will provide a shoulder lenght bubble for most of the fragrances life cycle -- dependent on the number of sprays and skin chemistry.

Disclaimer: I have read ramblings that Bad Boy EDT was reformulated already. My review is based on Batch Code 11662 (2021-06-15). In the event this information is of any value.

Overall: 8/10

Sanrio

I got this as a sample from Ulta, sniffed it without knowing the notes.

To me, it smelled like someone took a fragrance from every category (freshie, woody, gourmand, fougere, etc.,) and decided to make an "everything but the kitchen sink" fragrance.

I couldn't detect any single note. All I knew was that I hated it... Ultimately, I realized it did remind me of one thing. Being on the bus home from middle school with a bunch of boys who smothered themselves in various AXE scents in place of a shower.

I was shocked when I saw the notes. I do NOT get cocoa at all, and it's a note I tend to be sensitive to.

miguel190k

So from the first sniff after spraying on I can get some sweetness and a milk chocolate type of smell. That dies off after a few minutes and just turns into an axe body spray type of smell. To me it was really gross but if you are into a luxury axe type of smell then go ahead and get this. 4/10 for me

M1tsouko

this definitely has an axe body spray smell to me. it's heavy and fresh, but it's not really a memorable scent.

TedPoulson

To me it smells like Invictus mixed with Eros after the first 15 min. Lasts about 8 hours. First 15 min are not my fave, but after that it’s nice and sweet, with some warmth and a touch of spice.

Sofiaangeli

Sexy cinnamon bun actually could be unisex. If I had a boyfriend I would make him wear this.

SensualMan

It smells like axe.
