My signature scent after fragile jpg … i miss this … just loved it !

Atabey_H

My review is based on an aged oblong bottle from the late 2000s, darkened juice, macerated.

I'm a big fan of Maurice Roucel, two of my favourites being Dans Tes Bras and Musc Ravageur. I appreciate how he grounds different genres of perfume with subtle vanilla, not overwhelming the whole scent profile but adding a romantic touch to an otherwise somewhat erotic overtone his creations tend to have. L'instant EDT is another example for me. Overall, it comes across as prim and proper on the surface, yet with an undertone of romance and seduction. This might be why a lot of reviewers find this perfume relatively office-safe. After an hour or so, I sense more powderiness.

To me though, L'instant EDT is a tad bit too sensual to wear at work. The jasmine here isn't dirty, but it's not exactly completely clean. I find it the right amount of sultry. At least the aged juice I have carries sultry jasmine. Its dry-down reminds me of Voulez-Vous Coucher Avec Moi By Kilian. I smell Ylang Ylang even though this note is not listed here. I will wear this perfume on my wedding day and during my honeymoon. The best season for this perfume for me is spring. Love.

such a pity they discontinued it!.. review for the 2017 bee bottle

opens up with sour green apple and sweet powdery magnolia. blackcurrant and grapefruit nuances are also there. i sense a hint of lily of the valley and neroli too.

i like that its very soft and lady-like, a bit powdery even maybe, but its not sweet at all, it doesnt go soapy or musky, it just stays green and fresh. very sophisticated smell, almost crystal like. gorgeous

absolutely divine trail in cold/rainy weather.
great longevity for edt too

Fluffy, Marshmallow MAGNOLIA Punctuated by something DARK . Imagine a bouquet of magnolia, gardenia & marshmallows punctuated by something dark, on stems with green leaves in a vase of perfume, and a white fluffy kitten is sneaking toward it - that's what I get here. The EDT version is a 2005 follow-up to the first magnolia perfume released by Guerlain, L'Instant de Guerlain EDP 2003. Opens with a crisp burst of fruits that's well blended but leans to green apple supported by multi-faceted bergamot. This quickly deepens into the white-floral heart with creamy, powdery, vanillic, fresh, green, animalic & spicy nuances. It's hard to pick out individual florals, but altogether I get a powdery marshmallow white-floral blend with a touch of green and spice. This all rests on an amber base that carries and projects the rest. Over time you get a sweetening of the marshmallow vibe that leans to honey but continues the creaminess. While this is a magnolia scent, it's creamier, nuttier and more animalic than other magnolia scents I've smelt.

Contrast to Cabotine Rosalie Gres:
These are different, especially in the openings, where I get more of a Waldorf salad (mayo, cabbage, nuts, celery, grapes..) from Cabotine Rosalie. As CR dries down it becomes more and more similar to L'Instant de Guerlain. Both have excellent performance but L'Instant de Guerlain EDT outperforms.

Contrast to Be 100% Delicious DKNY:
These are different, but Be 100% Delicious has a good approximation of the signature opening of L'Instant de Guerlain and the faint animalic note, although it isn't as complex and rich in the drydown. L'Instant de Guerlain EDT outperforms.

Overall: I have an aged refill bottle of this, with juice the colour of vanilla extract (Batch Code No. 5H01). Gorgeous powdery, magnolia & marshmallow white-floral with well above average performance. This works year-round as a signature scent IMHO. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

It smells like a chilly summer sunrise. Crispy, bright, sun rains on the honeydew, apple buds, the skin shivers, time stands still, there are so many promises in the air, lifted by this vivid musky cloud, the raw greenness takes root, the petals unfold, sweeten, lure the early bees, and shines in a long fresh and solar trail.

bleu_canard

Just got a sample of this. The opening reminds me quite a bit of la Panthère by Cartier. Here it's apples, grapefruit and blackcurrant, there it's strawberries and rhubarb, in both cases the juicy fruit mingles with prominent gardenia. For me, these two fragrances create the same atmosphere for the first five minutes. Then each goes their separate way, l'Instant is Mrs. Maisel and la Panthère is miss Fisher, the lady detective.

SweetieLoula

Joy, is that you!?!?! It's not similar, it's identical with JOY from Dior. Still love it though, so fresh.

Lauren32

This is such a dream. I can't smell it on myself, but others can and I get so many compliments. This is one of the only perfumes I wear that feels like I'm wearing a cloud or aura of loveliness 😂 Less like a perfume, more like a glorious scent that might just naturally occur. The freesia is dominant to begin, and then just a warm powdery amber from there. My new signature without a doubt.

Healthy scents

Such a gorgeous scent, apple and flowers in the classiest way possible! Love it.

Zae

bit like jasmine tea but.... Classy, Rich and Warm...
I like this better than the EDP

Take the gorgeous honeyed gardenia+muguet+orange blossom heart of 24 Faubourg but sandwich it between a crisp lightly fruity top and a musky amber dry down rather than the mossy chypre structure of the original. Utterly beautiful and just as classy as the Hermes perfume- but done in a Guerlain style. Not much by way of Guerlinade in this one. No powder, violet, heliotrope, tonka and other common Guerlain fetish elements- just a stunning beautiful floral. Utterly modern & yet rich like a vintage floral.

Abry_81

Maurice Rocel executed this composition with mastery and alchemy as if he had studied endlessly the magnificent history and legacy of Guerlain, and this perfume, although it was launched in 2005, could perfectly have been one of the beautiful classics of the brand that were launched. In the last century.
As a good friend of mine, also a perfume lover and collector, told me, L'instant de Guerlain is a "Hard Core" floral, don't be fooled by this edt version, as this is more floral but also more intense than its original edp version, white honey is present in both compositions but in this case it feels less sweet and as it lacks iris it lost the powdery touch that I liked so much about the edp version.
This composition in a super intense and very ambery white floral where the absolute protagonist is the magnolia accompanied by gardenia, jasmine, neroli and lily of the valley. All these white flowers dance around this absolute magnolia creating a white floral accord encapsulated in a piece of sweet and dense amber, not so crystalline and transparent, rather it is a thick and deceptive amber that traps the flowers and everything in its path and encloses it in such a way that it is impossible to escape and thus they are kept in its jaws as an eternal fossil.
A remarkable job, a modern classic of the house that does not receive the attention it deserves, perhaps because of its vintage and somewhat stately air. For those of us who love perfumes, this bottle from 2012 is essential, especially since with the decision to unify many fragrances in the bee bottles, countless iconic bottles were lost.
As I have said before, I tried to buy several Guerlain classics in the bottles that were designed for its launch, this one in particular I would have preferred to have in an edp version because I feel it is more honeyed and powdery, but without a doubt this one is also a jewel.

ajfragrances

I believe this has been reformulated and the bottle is now the bee bottle, as the one I have now. This is so pretty, I’ve been wearing it nonstop since the day I bought it. Best way to describe it is sweet/ambery/powdery. Projection is really good, but longevity is OK, not bad for an EDT. Love this!!

SailorV

L'instant EDT seems to be discontinued now, which is a shame. I had it when I was 19 and used it fairly often back then, but the last drops of the bottle stayed with me until I was 25 or 26 (I'm 33 now). This review is mainly based on memory, my empty bottle and a quick retest from the bee bottle in a department store.

This is one of the creamiest scents ever. It's the plushest white magnolia on a magical honeyed amber base. At the same time clean and pure and sensual. There are some light fruity top notes that make it less heavy and more sparkling than the EDP, but I was surprised that green apple is a note here. Never in my life have I perceived this as an apple fragrance, I get more citrus.
It's so feminine, soft, rounded and intriguing, the perfect blend of white florals and warmth, dense and airy aspects. There are not many fragrances that get this right like this one.
Even though it's an EDT version, this has quite the presence. In my experience it gets stronger the older the bottle is, the liquid gets considerably darker too, so I think this is because of the vanilla content of the amber basenote. If you compare an old, well-kept bottle to a newer bee bottle, I'm sure it will be much more intense, but what I smelled in the dept store was very close to my memory of the original.

I'm contemplating buying another bottle before it's gone, but I'm not sure if I'll do it. In my opinion this is truly appropriate for any age group, even for those who are more conservative about age appropriateness than I am. It's just that I strongly link it to my last year of school and feel like I have moved on from that time. But the scent is so beautiful I can't rule it out.

Bombalurina

I really wanted to love these (this plus the EDP) everything about the notes and description was so nice,
but for me I get a strong fecal note that didn’t go away for a good 30 minutes. It's a shame because I really like the rest of it, but I'd never reach for these because it would make me so insecure to wear until that funk goes away

I’ve never seen any reviews that mention anything like that, and I know my bottles were authentic, one was new and sealed. But another user suggested that’s just how my brain interpreted those notes

It’s sad, but I had to swap these (I still have the 100 mL edt available)

I’ll stick with L’instant magic for now, but I’ll probably sample more Guerlain scents instead of blind buying like I often do

Agnes81

Honey-drenched magnolia with fluffy apple-vanilla. Really beautiful, easy to wear but not boring. It’s silky floral-sweet. Very feminine but not girly. This is a perfume for a woman - but it is not “old” or outdated in any way. Perfect for spring - in winter I prefer the edp.

IlonaLilovskaya

Dearest Fragrantica, please create one more page for L'Instant de Guerlain Eau de Toilette 2017 (incredible beautiful bee bottle).

TheScentedNotebook

This smells a lot like Aqua Allegoria Teazurra but a little punchier and without the bandaid smell.

AnaisLouLou

This is what Philosophy Amazing Grace tried to be. While that perfume's harsh notes transition like huge steps, this one etches along like a ballet dancer. There is a very powdery note to this perfume with a balanced white floral heart. I don't personally like powdery perfumes. I prefer to spray this one on my clothes for a super clean smell. There's a bit of Estee Lauder's White Linen in this perfume.

casznava

I bought this thinking it was Insolence EDT and boy am I happy it wasn't. I ended up trying both and this one was magical !!

It's fruity/floral/dusty/fairy/clean/feminine/spring/summer in one bottle. When I went to sleep with this perfume I dreamt that I had a lab of potions like on Shrek where the fairy godmother makes all her stuff and there's fairies flying around. It was awesome! I woke up and couldn't believe that this beauty brought some excitement and magic into my sub conscious.

Absolutely adore it ! Can't wait to get my hands on a full bottle. I've tried many Guerlain frags and this by far is my favorite. So underrated it's crazy.

seamagik

I could do without the grapefruit. I only got this because I couldn't be without the EDP for months in hot weather. That one is pure heaven to me. Classy, powdery, floral, honeyed heaven. I've had this for months and just felt it would do, mostly because of that blasted grapefruit, which always smells like an odd bitter weirdness to me. (Worst note to my nose.)

But last night I wore it, like I do in these strange lockdown times, where I try different scents all day to see how they work in different temperatures and weather. A few hours later I was thinking 'What is that? It's so lovely. I really should buy it'. Then I realise I already have it. It's mine. It's L'instant EDT. I totally love it.

I can't have too much powder. And I love vintage florals. There's something ancient and modern about this, thanks to its powdery floralcy. But it's very 'clean' which doesn't seem so natural to me. (Maybe I've been spoiled by vintage scents.) I never smelt a magnolia in my life. But if this is how they smell I'm totally smitten.

Less honeyed and thick than than the EDP. Brighter and more airy, with an obvious citrus opening. The white florals are still as classy and timeless.

This is one of the few scents I have both the EDP and EDT, because I never want to be stymied by the weather.

L'instant isn't sexy, she has more like a girl next door vibe. A lady you want to get to know and spend time with. You want to make her laugh and introduce her to your friends and take her home to your parents.

Very classy, very friendly, very ladylike.

DrNDJas

I bought this for my wonderful wife after getting it recommended on the forums. Now this is a feminine floral I enjoy! It is soft and gentle, never screechy. Light sweetness, but not a main feature of the perfume. It has all of Guerlain’s quality and subtlety. It’s timeless really and high on the inoffensive scale without being generic at all. Beautiful offering from one of my favorite houses

hexed

I think I've had this for about 2 weeks and I've already bonded with it to the extent that if I happen to wear something else for a day, I feel like groaning in delight as soon as I get to apply this again before settling down to sleep.
I have the bee bottle, which is an absolute delight to hold... although I imagine it might get a little complicted once you have more than one in your collection.
I'm not even sure how I ended up choosing this one, I was also looking at Mitsouko, Shalimar, Insolence... I had a Guerlain-sized hole in my cabin and I was very mournful over it. I love white florals but wasn't sure how I'd get along with gardenia and magnolia, since I haven't much experience with the two.
Doesn't go overboard with any one of its aspects. I was hoping for the olfactory experience of walking through a garden, but it's more like being reached by a breeze blowing through a garden. Delightful! There's not much that should singal me to consume the juice but I feel like if I were to start sleepwalking, I'd down the damn bottle.
The amber reminds me of Tocade and I feel like this actually has a much more almondy vibe, even though it's not a note listed here.
Nothing complicated or challenging about it whatsoever. I believe it could be called ethereal in the right weather condition. But it's mainly just absolutely comforting, has seductive potential but it's not like a one-night thing kind of a sexy. More like the wife or girlfriend you already know through and through and couldn't imagine getting embarrassed or nervous in front of about anything that happens in the bedroom anymore.

Yesterday I sprayed about 50 perfumes on various parts of my body, which is obviously the worst way to try out perfumes. L’Instant was one of them and I assumed that it was a dud because I couldn’t smell it above the rest. Several hours later I was overtaken by the most beautiful scent surrounding me like a plush blanket. At first I thought it might be Narciso for her. Turns of it was L’Instant EDT (which on me outperformed the EDP) and I’m happily wearing it today all by itself. I have it in the original bottle not the dreaded bee bottle. Is it completely original? Nope. But the performance is outstanding and this will be an easy daytime throw and go.

sibaraa

A sweet floral, powdery scent. Very nice and unique

Austrian_in_Denmark

Total stunner. This one is sweet, warm, comforting and fresh at the same time. A scent that is exceptionally hard to deconstruct for me - I only notice the magnolia clearly. The rest is a wonderful haze.

L'Instant was my signature for a while. I got it recommended by a friend who has the keenest sense of smell ever. Her recommendation was more like an order: "Go and smell L'Instant. You will buy it." And so I did.

At that time I moved a lot between cities and countries, and I temporarily lost my bottle of L'Instant. When I found it again years later, the scent was loaded with memories, not all of them happy.

It took me several more years to start using it again. After the first few times I was desensitised, and now I enjoy this as much as in the beginning. Love, love, love it.

artemis16

Lemon, magnolia and sweet amber on me.
It is pleasant, however it has the same quality I found in Chanel Allure and Dior Joy, as the wearer: I get this sensation of stuffiness, as if I’m breathing through a thick synthetic material. I expect it’s some ingredient that doesn’t agree with me. Plus it makes me cough.
From a distance it is airier and lighter, just as the other two.

hellofawoman

Is this a safe blind buy?

bodnerrachel

Stunningly gorgeous fragrance. Still has the strong honey notes. I have both the EDT and the EDP and both are excellent.

Aura Alexandra

I love this fragrance of Guerlain which I blind bought based on the notes I saw listed. Honestly, I expected it to be similar to Scandal since honey is listed in the notes, but now I am glad it isn't. It is very similar to Salvatore Ferragamo 's Signorina Eau de toilette, which I had and loved. It is so nice and light, just as silk, not fresh but not sweet either, it has a very fine dry down, light fizzy vanilla, elegant and sophisticated. On my skin doesn't last for a log time, but this morning I sprayed it on my scarf and my husband mentioned that the car is full of my perfume. I am totally pleased💕

dessybg

floydwellian

A nice enough, likeable scent but a bit too honeyed and powdery for me to wear very often. It IS different from any other perfume I own, so I'll give it that. And the bottle is pretty.

CygneNoire

A very summer-y fragrance that reminds me of a softer version of Mugler's Sunessence. The citrus notes bloom on my skin! I don't expect it to last much and the sillage is poor to moderate but it's an enjoyable fragrance overall.

PerfumeForLainy

Warm, sensual floral gourmand, smells like home.. filled with white flowers. L'nstant creates a relaxing and comforting space which is so easy to love, to stay in, to take with you everywhere. It is absolutely gorgeous, with decent staying power and unobtrusive silage, yet produces the same result as in the compain picture above.
It is the best kind of beauty: descreet and powerful. You do not quite know what gets you, but it does, you are in love.

I am only recently getting myself properly aquainted with the (modern) house of Guerlain and it is stunning! One gem after another and I want it all.

PS: Same bottle as pictured

AnitaHendricks

Interesting! This scent is soft and feminine in a modern way. I think this could be a signature scent for many women. It's unique but casual enough. You could wear this during many occasions. Well done!

stephdray

So close, but the apple is driving me crazy and not in a good way. I like the longevity, the distinctiveness, it's well made. Alas that blasted apple is drowning out all the great amber and floral in this.

cocofluff

Love at first sniff. This is a gorgeous perfume! Fresh and floral. Perfect for everyday wear for me. This fragrance smells like honeyed magnolia and I feel sooo pretty when I wear it!! It's soft and feminine. I'm so in love!

I have the EDP as well and I love it just as much. I have a sample of L'instant Magic that I also adore. As far as i'm concerned, "instant" was a perfect name for the line: Instant Love!

I will say that the voted notes are correct. This EDT is fresher than the EDP but the EDT is also plasticy/waxy smelling just like real magnolia.

I've moved on. Feb2021. No love for this one remains in my heart.-

katrinawhitney

This. This. This. It is everything and more. I adore it so so much. I thought I loved the EDP and that this would be unnecessary, however now that I have it, it has to be mine forever. It is the epitome of beauty. The EDP is thick, opulent, dense honey with flowers behind it. The EDT is thinner, but not too thin, and more equal parts honey and florals. Gosh this is just so good. Love love love.

violetbelle

GORGEOUS, delicious magnolia and honeyed-vanilla icing. I realize honey and vanilla aren't listed, but this is indeed a fresher, sheerer interpretation of the EDP. I would say the EDP feels thick and warmer in comparison, creamy in the way of vanilla batter, whereas this is more floral and bright. The apple is light and pretty, lending a natural nectar while not hogging the stage, nor is citrus in any way screechy here. This is so fluffy, delicate, and just sweet enough to cause addiction.

sopke

This is so different from EDP. But in a good way, EDP honey and wood i can wear only during deep winter. This one is very pretty for spring and summer. I really like the staying power and the fresh feeling it gives. Love!

Yasue

This strikes me as a very "ladylike" and polite scent. On me, it does not come through as sensual or mysterious in the least--which is surprising because the amber and gardenia does come through well enough on dry down. It wears close to the body on me and settles into a very powdery scent pretty quickly. It strikes me as one to wear when I want to be understated and classy. I like it, but I doubt it will be one I reach for first. I'll probably reserve it for occasions when I am in close quarters feeling rather subdued (which is rare for me!)

Venusia

The most beautiful white floral bouquet. Magnolia, gardenia, jasmine, citrus notes and apple on an amber bed, lovely blended, no headache, no sharpness, not too sweet, with a touch of green, slightly powdery and thankfully no vanilla. Still not exactly shy.
Warm and envelopping like a fluffy cloud of aromas coming from white flowers lying under the spring's sun.
Sillage and longevity better than average.
Fine and elegant without reserves. I'm loving it!

northstar

I am getting gardenia and jasmine with the barest touch of citrus. To me it is a toned down, "pretty", safe white floral. Which I mean as a compliment. It is an adult pretty woman's perfume. The amber comes in subtle and later to me, very lightly honeyed, and reviews are saying the EDP is a bit sweeter, which I think I would prefer. I don't get any musk either, but I think I will layer it with Jovan white musk for women on a warm late spring day. OH! Or layer it with Bvlgari Black, I could see that being very nice!

Edit: I do get the musk later.

SaraX

My signature scent is the EdP version of this scent. Has been for 15 years, from the date I discovered it.

I actually like this EdT version just as much as the EdP. They are slightly different, but only slightly. If something, the EdT is somewhat more powdery to me, I think.

The following is copied from my review od the EdP version, since I feel the same way with the EdT:

Leaves me pretty speechless, since I don't have words for anything this pretty and magical.

To me it's like someone or something out of this world created this scent and there are no words for this in our "basic everyday world".

But I'll try: this scent is cool, it's windy and icy, it's honey and cashmere, silk and vanilla with beautiful flowers, which grow in the gardens of heaven (and I'm not religious by any means!).

I think I own around fifteen bottles of this, yet I'm still saving all of them and using other scents which I don't like as much, scents which are replacable, since this is not. And where I live this is not very easily available, since it's not sold in stores. You have to acquire this second hand or new at ebay or other web stores (and then there is always the risk of receiving fakes instead of genuine ones).

perfumes_addict

I finally own this perfume, after buying it from a major sale. It is very creamy in the beginning but develops some powdery notes in the dry down. I mostly detect magnolia, amber and a bit of gardenia but they are well very well blended, creating this unique and original gem. This smells expensive, original and elegant so do give it a try if you want to smell like millions.

Nuitdenoel

I have L’Instant edp so I decided to get the edt, also. I really like it. The eau de toilette is not as sweet up front as the eau de parfum. The edp reads as primarily honey, then florals, on me. The edt is: Magnolia (recognizable), amber, citrus, then some very light sweetness. It’s a great addition to the L’Instant family. Possibly a little lighter, less aggressive sillage and projection, although it is far from being a skinscent. The vanilla and amber is gorgeous in the drydown.

Mbrock

This is nice. I cant really say much else. I cant pick out anything unique about it. Good longevity and sillage. Very pretty. I tried Elie Saab Too as im on the hunt for a nice white floral. These are both very pretty but not doing it for me. Just a strong like, no love. I'll take any suggestions. PM message me if you have any ideas what to try next.

damebrunette

Smells sweet, pretty but, yet, another headache-inducing department store fragrance.

perfumeglam87

This is so pretty and classy. Goes on soft. It's very powdery, tart and a little tangy. Something in this reminds me of burberry body edp.

justfloral

honey + mandarine/lemon + hemp cord note / some kind of wall paint + face cream note (old Nivea?) + Magnolia x soulangeana (saucer magnolia). This is not Magnolia grandiflora (Southern magnolia) which I have sniffed. If you're searching for southern magnolia try Magnolia Nobile.
Try it if you like:
Allure EDP - Chanel
Narciso Rodriguez for Her EDP
Due Donna -Biagotti

Mood, emotions: rather sad, remote, far, thinking about the past, nostalgic.

I am an absolute fan of L`Instant since I first tried it, parfume or edt, doesn`t make much of a difference, the essence is the same..Yes indeed, it is mainly magnolia with amber and bits of other white flowers, and citrus in the background - not complicated, it is what it is and it`s wonderful that way. My most elegant perfume to date, the one always gets complemented on and the one that feels on just right without any notes coming out that should not be there. What I`d like to point out is even the edt lasts ALL DAY, I mean I sprayed it on at 6 in the morning and 6 in the evening I can still clearly smell it, and at the moment I have a slight cold - so just giving an idea here about how good quality the perfume is. It is worth every penny, I wish every scent I ever had was this long-lasting..

kati77

After a single contact with edt I must say that it smells ok.
Safely, on summer days, like tea with ice, lemon and sugar. But there is no sweetness here, which works good. Many of the ingredients are magnolia, jasmine, grapefruit and apple - they make a nice bouquet. Even for a moment, as if my honey came up. I recommend for people who need democratic perfumes to work so as not to offend others. For me as safe as Armani Mania for women.

tiababy

I don't like the EDP, but this is lovely. I get mostly orange blossom and spiced honey and amber. It reminds me of Moroccan oil hair serum or a lighter, fresher, more modern version of Hermes 24 faubourg. I love it most in the fall, it's such a comfort scent, like a warm hug of fragrance.

anjezas

Just received this yesterday and it was a blind buy, ok it really good, i can feel right away orange blossom and lilly and i like it very very much, then something sweet takes place that is ok too, the problem is that it fades away so fast, usually when i use a new perfume a can smell myself all day long until it becomes my smell, this one is gone in less than 2 hours leaving a faint sweet sent, this is dissappointing to me couse i was expecting something really strog reading the reviews, so because of it i don't recommend it, as per the comments that it smells old, to me it smells really lovely but it matters nothing the moment that no one can feel it

ScarlettX

It's a creamy and sweet white floral scent. White flowers are dominant in this perfume, but in a sweet and mild way.
I thought it would be more classic-smelling than it actually is.
It's more suitable for evening. Quite nice and elegant scent, I like the composition of amber and white flowers.
I have been wearing my sample a few times and I think it's nice, but one could find a more impressive one.
I think it would be suitable for someone in their 40s or 50s.

KarlekLila

My abundantly, heartfelt love and gratitude to Moon Lion for sending me her dabber bottle! This gentle, womanly, achingly-beautiful fragrance was a love at first sniff for me. As much as I adore the edp for it's creamy, honeyed feel I find that the amber, and citrus notes in the edt version play up the delicate magnolia scent. Despite the appearance of citrus in the notes my skin does not pick up any. Instead I get a very fragrant Southern magnolia in full bloom. The subtly of the fruity notes together with amber and the additional white flowers only serve as supportive roles for the creamy magnolia scent that dries to a luscious vanilla. Despite honey not being listed in this version the fragrance is just as smooth and subtly sweet as its stronger edp counterpart. Sillage is arm's length at first but gradually settles close to the skin, surrounding me in a cloud of vanilla magnolia. Longevity lasts about 4 hours from my dabber bottle. I assume a full size spray would last longer.

As a proud American Southern belle this scent conjures up images of a bygone era with ladies in hoop skirts underneath fine silk dresses and wide brimmed hats, sipping juleps on wrap-around porches as they watch the sunset on an early summer evening. Absolutely wonderful! I MUST have a full bottle.

Moon Lion

A lovely, moderate, magnolia and light citrus scent. It's ladylike, office appropriate, subtly complex and elegant without being snobbish about it.

Alas, the citrus note (a fruit, not neroli or bergamot,) does not agree with my chemistry at all, and it wears very sharp and almost metallic on my skin . . . as most citruses tend to do for me. Sigh.

Probably a safe blind buy for all but the under-30-dedicated-to-smelling-like-a-candy-store set, and those like me, whose personal chemistry does not wear citrus well.

What could go wrong? It's Guerlain!

Palmee

Such a beautiful, gorgeous, classy smelling scent! Glowing magnolia and white florals, soft, fresh and warm. Excellent sillage! I love it! I much prefer this over the EDP, which is slightly more honeyed and sweeter, which I tend to find a bit cloying. This is a perfect scent all year round but there is something about wearing it in the springtime.

moreorlessa

More linear and harmonious on my skin than the EDP (although you don't get that same blast of green in the opening). Despite no listed vanilla, that is one sweet amber note, but not overpowering or suffocating, but deliciously comforting. It complements the magnolia beautifully. It doesn't really feel like a white floral to me, at least not the type I'm used to. It is a very cozy fragrance without being too wintery. The top notes, especially the black currant, but I suspect also the bergamot, give it such a nice little kick.

It borders on gourmand, its powderiness reminding me of icing sugar at times. There's almost an almondy feel to it (and now I get where the idea to do L'Instant Magic came from, but weridly that one feels less edible to me). Yet it's not quite gourmand, and I love that it treads that line so carefully (by comparison, I have Aqua di Parma's Mandorlo di Sicilia, a delicious and beautifully constructed powdery almond fragrance, but oftentimes I feel it's too literal an interpretation of a desert and so I get much less use out of it).

L'Instant EDT is probably one of the fragrances I reach for the most, as it is very versitile and suitable for a wide range of occasions, and I never seem to be not in the mood for it. It seems both nostalgic and modern, warm and creamy but also very clean and polished. Honestly, what's not to love?

floralfragrance

Opening is like high quality soap, (like baiser vole I also get the similarity) and then it settles down to creamy floral vanilla. I have both edt and edp and edp is more potent. The drydown of edt resembles more to alien essence absolue's than edp of l'instant. I don't know why. Both of them are very beautiful and more suitable for winter/autmn/early spring in my opinion. They don't smell like burnt sugar but they are sweet and vanillic. Not the typical white flower bouquet that you may expect from notes. I like them both:)

LenaNif

Very gourmand white flowers. It makes perhaps the ambra. Well maked. I like it.

Soofiya

It opens fresh with citruses and apple but it passes the opening part in few minutes on me and reaches to it's pretty floral heart
Magnolia, gardenia and lily are my most beloved white florals and they are present here(though there is no lily listed)these white florals are very balanced thank to fresh fruit notes and well blended with amber..so there is not too much white florals here, just the right amount of them
I find this magnolia-gardenia-amber combination very elegant, feminine and gorgeous..I don't find it fruity,or citrusy, these notes are hidden some where providing little amount of freshness
Amber adds warmth, depth and a sweet undertone to florals, soft powdered and almost delicious
Haven't tested edp version yet so I can't tell about differences
I just know that l'instant edt is soft, sensual and lovely..one of best guerlains I've tried and is among my top ten favorite fragrances
Longevity and sillage are both good and I prefer wearing it during fall and spring, however it's wearable year round and is versatile
❤❤❤❤❤

It is the strangest thing - my nose reads this beautiful creation as being astoundingly similar to Baiser Vole EDP on my skin.

Where is the lily coming from?

After the delightfully astringent bergamot opening I'm surrounded by transparent plumes of vanilla during the dry down with sweet lilies taunting me on the breeze. Yet at the slightest shift without notice I am recalling Alien EDT on my skin. An engaging and entertaining wear indeed - and one that smells heavenly across all facets revealed to me.

My hormones are consistently surprising me, (and those close to me and not always in a good way!), I guess one of the nicer thrills of going through menopause - my perfumes have taken on new and often surprising identities - I never know what to expect.

It is exciting and frightening reaching for firm favourites these days.

gigicreation12m.

Not my cup of tea, smell like flower from kenzo, i was expecting something like joy or paris. Going to wear for work and get rid of it

deakrek

I sooo wanted to like this one on me... I was stalking a lady a couple of years ago at a train station and asked her about her scent which was really amazing. She gave me the name of this perfume. Since then every time I had to fly somewhere I sprayed some of it from the tester on me at the duty free shop and I really enjoyed it. This Christmas I received it as a gift and began using it and I must admit after using it every single day for about 2 weeks: I am too skinny and too silly to this one... My age would be perfectly appropriate but I wear too much jeans, my hair is just too short and I always wished I had more womanly body features and stuff...Sometimes you can become one with a scent other times the scent is just standing beside you all by itself, lonely. This second one was me and l'instant. We are just different, thats it.

tijgetje

have to come back on this one ;-) It's winter over here, and I love this one very much.

Opening is mostly black currant and apple, Jasmine (on my skin)

Middle: Jasmine, Magnolia, Lily of the valley. black currant

End: Magnolia, Lily, Amber , little bit currant

Stays on my skin very well. When I spray this in my neck, I get whiffs all the time. So lovely:-)

Very pretty bottle, spray's very good. 8/10

Rebemario

OMGeeeee!!! Adore! I've had the EDP for years absolute love but this is something so lovely so special and like many of you have said, fresher. I'm just stunned at how gorgeous and effortless this is. Guerlain is my favorite house now! I can't pick out the notes yet but whereas EDP is like the mamma, more tamed mature and comfortable this is youth fresh and energetic. I completely adore this, I will easily wear this to work and not worry how much I've put on. Complete love ❤️

hsheep

I love everything Guerlain, but this is one I really didn't like. It was extremely potent and strong. The projection was astronomical!
The apples made it quite sharp and a little sour on me, the white flowers very piercing. The amber was quite fresh, but barely kept anything grounded. It was a giant mess of fizziness. I think the mix on me just didn't like my chemistry at all, it hung in the air around me and suffocated everyone in the room.
My chemistry likes a warmer and calmer sort of scent, I'll look towards the EDP.

zapling

A perfume glowing with greens and flowers, luminous like the summer. I love it.

PricklyAndHot

Now I would buy this one, because it has less amber and more truly-loved by me magnolia than edp.

w_nmbo

To me: there are Guerlain perfumes, and there are the other perfumes. Why?

I tend to never love Guerlain perfumes at the first sniff. I rather dislike them, they are so strange to me, often I feel like I am having a headache. But then I think of the fragrance, I cannot forget about it. It stays in my mind for months, years. So I want to give it another chance. And I do. And the second time is always so different from the first one. They are no more strange, but interesting. They no more cause a headache, but I find their overpowering way of being very sensual. With every following chance, that I give to Guerlain fragrance, I love it more and more. This is a rule in my case.

The same thing happens with L'Instant EDT. First test was tiring. Strange and heavy.

But now - well, I know I love it. L’Instant EDT is flowery and powdery and feminine.

Solar Girl

My all-time favorite perfume. Ultimate sensuality in a bottle, soft as velvet, sweet in most discreet and gentle way, powdery, just Mmmmm.... I used it for years, every day, all occasions. Very sensual and sexy, feminine and subtle. Maybe because it blends so well with my skin that one can hardly tell the difference. Amazing perfume.

Angelica 000

I have hesitated to review this one...my first purchase was about a year ago & I was disappointed, finding it over hyped & unremarkable.
Fast forward, in a determined effort to justify the size of my collection I began to wear my less favoured fragrances before passing them on to a Woman's' shelter. Well, either the perfume fairy has visited or my skin/taste has changed dramatically...this is gorgeous! Magnolia, honey & I guess the "powder" is Iris(?) some rose & something indefinable, elegance..style, maybe pure class?
So glad I gave it another chance.

Hipchick40

An absolute love for me. It's slightly powdery but the blend is so smooth. Great vanilla with soft floral and just a slight zing of grapefruit. Love love love it! I just want to add that I also have and love the EDP. At some point, I will do a side by side comparison because I had wished I'd had one prior to buying them. I'm glad I have both but I will come back to add that review of the differences or similarities more precisely sometime soon!

tijgetje

received this one today. a unique parfume, and very natural smell. But....there is a ingredient that is standing out and I don't quite like it. I think it's the jasmine or blackcurrant. A bit sour smell....Overal good sillage and a good one for summerday's.

Alexandrarae

I just love it. Have the EDP but find that it can be too strong for summer/spring so that's when the EDT shines! They are both stunning perfumes, and as another reviewer has said, there is nothing else like them out there and I have been wearing quality perfumes for nearly 60 years now. Always buy another bottle of the EDT when it runs out, but, calamity....it will no longer be available in South Australia because it hasn't been selling well. May have to import a bottle - still have a good 3/4 of a 100ml bottle so am using it for special occasions. Thanks Guerlain...please don't ever change this one, it is gorgeous! Alexandrarae

Arlene-Beatrix

Intense amber scent with a hint of flowers and citrus. Elegant, nice, but nothing extraordinary.

aztzura

Gorgeous scent. Smells very similar to Hanae Mori with a little more floral. The Amber and bergamot are combining into a creamy vanilla scent.

vesna

This is an amazing scent. I cannot describe it by notes since it is perfect alchemy and the impression is pure femininity, softness and beauty. Divinely develops on the skin and it is very long lasting. On cloths stays by days. No more words to add, simply perfect.

Daisy1984

This one surprised me. I pride myself on hating most vanilla centric fragrances-- you know what I mean-- the ones made for teeny boppers that smell cheap and tacky. I have no desire to smell like a cupcake or sugar or cotton candy. I want to smell like a grown woman, elegant and poised! At first I thought this was too vanilla-y for my taste and admittedly the edp is. However, the magnificent creamy/waxy magnolia note really comes through in the edt. I've never smelled anything like this- well blended, complex, sweet, creamy, waxy, floral. Nobody does vanilla like Maurice Roucel and Guerlain!

Mnekb

Naked and sweet-sweaty woman body after shower... That's what i smell! That's what i call sexy! She is not harsh, she doesn't bother you with her smell. She just touch your nose and brain gently with her silky hands.

This is not a perfume this is the dream or i am high? Go ask Alice, i think she'll know.

Lana148

This is a perfect example of a "pink", sweet-vanilla fragrance done right!

All the younger people take notice: if you are into Flowerbomb or Viva la Juicy please try this fabulous fragrance. It will satisfy all of your sugary-vanilla cravings with a class.

This fragrance is very smooth and very well blended, develops like a dream on your skin and stays like that for hours, without smelling cheep.

Not to worry about white floral, I can't stand white flowers smell in perfumes, but this one is made with very soft, sensual floral, no issues.

Sassy & fun!

Bruxadomar

Now this is a classy smell absolutely loved it!

Lybarra118

A sweet love for me. One of my absolute favorites, and I'm already on my second bottle. I love trying and finding new fragrances, but there are certain ones that you feel are must-haves in your collection at all times. That's Guerlain L'Instant EDT for me.

The flower arrangement is just so perfect here; not too strong, but definitely noticeable. They're soft and delicate. There's also a nice bite of sweetness, and the mixture of sweet notes and amber gives it a yummy honey feel, though not sticky or sickly. It's dewy. It's also not a gourmand.

I personally think this works best in cooler months and is very nice for an office setting if you want to get noticed. To me, this is a signature fragrance and it might become mine.

Longevity is fantastic and sillage is nice for an EDT, it sits close but it's far from a skin scent. If sprayed just right, I find it leaves a pretty trail.
I can't compare this to the EDP since I haven't tried it yet - that's next on my list.

Swetess

Classy, soft, feminine and simply gorgeous - L'instant de Guerlain is beauty in a bottle. It is in no way overpowering but still makes a luxurious statement. This sophisticated scent is one of my all time favourites and when I wear it I feel confident and beautiful. At initial spray the top notes are fresh and fruity but almost immediatly as it touches the skin it turns into this wonderful mixture of soft white florals and sweet honey/vanilla.

Although it is quite sweet it is in no way gooey. To me it has just the right balance of freshness, sweetness, and florals. The longevity of this EdT is also really good, and for me, having a skin that seems to "eat up scents" as soon as I put them on, that means a lot.

Larabella

Opens with a lovely citrus floral however, the dry down (which happens quite quickly) leaves much to be desired.. on me it smells of chemical vanilla.

lcommisso

If you like florals and the Guerlain brand, this is a must buy. I am not a fan of florals but love the Guerlain brand, so this was a blind cheapish eBay purchase. I like it, sorta, but it is not my go to perfume by any stretch of the imagination. I am curious how I will feel about it in spring (stupid cold Cleveland weather)...my hope is that it will blossom beautifully with the warmer weather. It is very feminine and classic, without being sweet.

Fragrantlife

Ah, l'Instant de Guerlain Eau de toilette. I have had it for years. One of the very few perfumes I bought again, and again, and again. Yes, I am on my third bottle.

Lately, it's been somewhat ignored, with my purchasing a lot of new olfactory treasures, but we are having a really cold spell in Canada. Cold as in: any sensible person with money should permanently move NOW to a warmer, more human-friendly country. Well, in my case, the will is there, but not the bank account (;-) So I resort to olfactory escapes.

Which brings me to L'Instant. It is an interesting love, since I usually don't like sweet perfumes. But his one has made it again, and again, on my top list of comfort scents. I absolutely do not get the official top notes (bergamot and various fruits). For me it is all about amber, vanilla and honey, and some jasmine and neroli to give it a floral heart.

Very sweet. Completely comforting. Utterly beautiful in the fall and winter.

(As a final note: I have tried the Eau de Parfum but it doesn't have the same magic. Both edt and edp are equally strong, but in different ways. I find edp too cloying, with too much honey and amber.)

senosso

I bought it today (my cargo package arrived) and it is so nice I can say! I just sprayed 2-3 times to try it on but could smell myself throughout the day. (mine is EDT) Indeed I can't believe an EDT can be so strong.

Although I don't like fragrances that just many people wear and common, and although this is not totally foreign to me (I m sure I perceived the smell many times) I can say it is unique.

If you consider a light yet lingering perfume this can be the one.

Pari88

One of the most gorgeous, luminous and cosy perfumes I have ever had the pleasure of smelling. There are so many lovely facets to this perfume, and they meld together to create perfection. The woman I want to become is the kind depicted through L instant. She is loving, intelligent, humble, strong, joyful, maternal, ladylike, a bohemian spirit with love for all natural things, extremely loveable, a true Royal. I adore this and in time I know it will become my new signature. It has no weather or season, it will fit right in to whatever situation you throw it into. Sparkling for the bitter winter, and Refreshing for the heat, just right in Autumn and Spring.

Creamy honey dipped florals mixed with a tinge of powder and fruity green and minty notes to create a bright yet sweet and warm scent. A refreshing sweet drink sitting in the garden on a Spring day.

Very unique, I have never smelled anything like it. I will compare it to my current signature Artemisia, as they have a similar "feel". Another aura scent as it is not heavy but creates a welcoming atmosphere around you. The Givenchy Organza for my generation. A gorgeous, well balanced and mannered woman. I adore you L instant!

Update: I love the edp as well now! Edt is perfect for warm months, late spring, summer and early fall. Edp is much heavier and warmer, perfect for the cold months.

christianne1

Beautiful and classically feminine....a very wearable white floral for me. Most of the time white florals pierce me right between the eyes but L'Instant doesn't. It has a smooth honey like warmth and fruity sweetness that keeps it soft and inviting and keeps the white flowers from being too shrill. L'Instant is a very well balanced composition. Linear and maybe even a bit "perfumey" but it really is such a pretty fragrance. The dry down is just beautiful.

A somewhat "proper" and ladylike scent without being too stuffy. If it is possible for a fragrance to be "kind", I would describe L'Instant as being kind. It smells like the perfume of a well mannered and kind lady to me for some reason. Gentle and serious but soft, warm and welcoming. Another winner from Maurice Roucel.

Mary-Jayne

I find this to be a very soft, gentle, elegant and feminine perfume well suited for day to day wear.
On me the initial spray is somehow strong floral yet also soft at the same time, this is smooth, rounded, if it were an object it would be a white marshmallow (it doesn't really smell like a marshmallow, although maybe a hint later in the day, it just reminds me of one in that is it soft, white, a touch powdery...I don't know, it just somehow reminds me of one!)
It smells quite grown up and sophisticated, I can't imagine teenagers or early 20-somethings wearing this, and I cannot imagine it appealing to the permatanned, bleached hair extensions type who, (and this is a gross sweeping generalisation) seem to favour much sweeter fruitier scents- to me it smells more like something you would expect to smell on a 30-something woman in a crisp white shirt and jeans with her hair in a casual bun, or a woman wearing a floaty dress or something. Even though I love this and am not a 30-something and I don't own a crisp white shirt or a floaty dress or hair that would go into a bun!
I find this a beautiful comforting scent, something I can wear on a down day and be enveloped in its aura, or wear to a meeting or lunch with friends. I wouldn't turn to this for a night out as I prefer something heavier and spicier for those occasions but this is a scent that would fit most occasions in my opinion. I don't think it is likely to offend in any way, it smells clean and classy and very feminine.
The opening for me, I get a strong muguet with amber initially with other white florals taking a backseat for the initial 20-30 minutes. The combination of muguet and amber can smell almost animalic, even slightly "dirty" initially on my skin and I must admit the opening of this fragrance is not my favourite part. And then suddenly after the first half hour or so the muguet takes more of a backseat, the amber softens and becomes more rounded and the magnolia and white florals take the fore.
There is something in this that reminds me of high end expensive body creams and I find it pairs wonderfully with L'Occitane's Shea ultra rich body cream to give a super cosy winter scent.
I find this soft and floral, not sweet, never cloying. I haven't worn this in summer yet so I am not sure if it would change - I imagine that perhaps the muguet and amber would be more dominant in more humid weather creating a more sultry effect, I shall have to wait a while to find out!
I find longevity is good with this, it lasts a good 12 hours and the dry down is very soft and comforting. Projection is reasonable too - I don't think it projects overly much and it isn't intrusive, but as I sit typing this I can feel and smell it around me, through my thick winter woolies - as I said before it is like an aura.
I am interested to try the EDP version as apparently it is a slightly different composition.
I do love this beautiful fragrance, another newly discovered guerlain that I think will have a place in my fragrance wardrobe for a long time to come. Soft, feminine, comforting, elegant...beautiful.

Nimboo

Just bought this today in Selfridges...ahhh, a delicious and soft feminine beauty that I'm sure will become a favourite.
I love Guerlain.

lisa o

not that I'm particularly fond of this kind of florals, but the fact that the description of the EDP and EDT could fit (on my skin at least, whatever that means) exactly the other way round, puzzled me.
the EDT on me is honeyed and very powdery and the EDP is more red apple kind of flowery-fruity (very late in the drydown slight honey/sweet notes). and the EDT seems much stronger and lasts longer??my senses must be confused or something...

santaborboleta

If you'd like to swap your edt for edp I'm up for it. i LOVE THE EDT, the edp while its great it lacks the honey notes that though not listed on the edt are the ones that develop on me...strange i know but its the truth. The edp lists the honey notes but they don't come out on my skin, I have a 2.7oz edp and would like to exchange for edt.

djuzz.becuzz

Another sample I got from a lovely fragrantica friend!
This sample-swapping is such a great way to "meet" new fragrances and test them properly
I really don't have the slightest idea how to describe this scent!
It is a very unusual scent to me... this is not your typical floral scent.
To me it appears rather powdery, soft & sweet. It is impossible for me to tell the notes apart. You could tell me any random note to be in this and I would probably say: "okay, if you say it is in there... it is probably in there..." LOL
I honestly have no idea what I am smelling and it is not something that I am craving for to have in my collection.
I think it's just too powdery for me... It's not that I detest powdery scents, it depends on which notes create the powdery effect. And in this one I don't like it too much.

evesoho

Under L'Instant EDP in the db, I wrote a review mostly of the EDT... Guerlain's ode to magnolia! In Canada, magnolia doesn't bloom in winter, so I wouldn't wear this fragrance then as it reminds me of summer. I've tried the EDP, though, and I can see myself wearing it in fall/winter. Like peachykeen, I detect vanilla sniffing from the bottle and on my skin at first. It isn't listed in the notes... an olfactory illusion? From the bottle, I guessed these notes:

citrus/bergamot and apple/pear and(?) blackberry
vanilla
amber
rose(?) or another similar flower
jasmine
a white flower

Once on my skin, the "similar flower" was dominating and I realized it was magnolia from my experience with the real blooms. The apple note had hit the hardest out of the bottle but slipped into the background quickly and quietly. The drydown was jasmine mingling with the magnolia and a shimmering aura of gardenia/lily of the valley around the edge. I wasn't sure I smelled vanilla as distinctly anymore, but the currant/apple ever so subtley reminded me of pie. :)

L'Instant EDT reminds me a bit of Stella by Stella McCartney because it's a modern composition of ambery floral with a citrus accent, except that it's also wilder, stranger (the magnolia is an underrepresented flower in classic perfumery) and closer to oriental, because of the magnolia/jasmine accord (Stella has rose). In comparison, the perfumes both have depth, but L'Instant is more complex, joyful, and fine.

Magnolia doesn't usually star in perfumes, which might be why some reviewers haven't noticed it right off the bat. Unless you've been around the real blooms, the scent might be hard to identify or distinguish.

Did I mention I love this?

anacarol202

Perfume too good for the winter. Sweet, with presence and elegant! Fixed and exhales heavily!

Deppaholic

I can't compare this to the edp, never had that. This works magic on my skin. Blends so well with my chemistry. It works on warmer days and colder days here in the northeast. My daughter said it smells like "mom". I love many of the Guerlains, and there are a few I loathe on me. This one is a winner. It doesn't remind me of any other frag out there.

I do find I reapply it during the day, but lasts a good 5-6 hours on me, at least to my nose. Others perhaps can smell it on me though. I like the smell that much, that I will give another few sprays towards evening. Thumbs up in my assumption.

peachykeen1214

I first bought this scent in Rome, Italy. However, it was stolen in my college apartment. Five years later I am absolutely delighted to have found it again! It is rare and very hard to find. It's fancy, yet light and airy. Fruity, flowery, powdery without being sickeningly sweet. One of the few perfumes that doesn't give me a headache. Personally, I smell Jasmine, Amber, Magnolia, Gardenia, and I'd say even some Vanilla, Honey and Musk as a base. The Apple and Grapefuit keep it crisp and light. This is the epitome of what a perfume should be for me. Unfortunately, I have one of those skin types where perfumes smell entirely different on me than on a tester paper. So that this one sweeteened on me (rather than soured or became too flowery sweet) was perfect. The price allows me to wear it on special occasions mostly. I wear it a lot in the winter, though it could definitely be worn in the office, every day, and throughout Spring and Summer. It wears long but doesn't overwhelm those around you. It is so ladylike, but not old-fashioned or outdated. No hints of overly flowery rose or freesia hints, which I dislike and think is for an older generation. And not spicy or woodsy either, which is what tends to cause my headaches. Elegant. Sophisticated. Perfect for a cool Spring date night at a five-star restaurant or on a picnic. Love the versatility and, more than anything, the rarity and speciality of this fragrance. The celebrity-created scents found at any shopping mall can not compare. By far my favorite of all time.

scenturian

There is Edp version as well which is not in db yet.

Jonayla

My signature scent. I wear it often in winter/autumn/spring, summer I put it on only special events. I have use it for years. This is so unique. Warm, deep, womanly and mystic. This is only scent what unknown people ask me what fragrance I wear. This happens almost every time I wear it. Put it moderately, otherwise it can be too dominant.

tommy_girl

it smells very powdery to me and amber accord is touchable.white flowers are there, but not dominant.I also thought I smelt something like orange flower that doesn't exist in the notes.
the good point is that I can't smell any green apple,as it can make a perfume really sharp.
it's not a strong perfume, but I don't see this as a disappointing point.it's light and airy.good choice for people who find EDP too classic for their taste.

smellhunt

This is the only fragrance by Guerlain, that I got more than once.
I like it a lot more than the perfume, because for me this is less powdery but remains soft, feminine, unique!
White flowers that for once are not overpowering but well balanced with citrus and amber that warms it, in a composition that doesn't change much, even after the pass of many hours.
I would recommend to try it before you buy it, but do try it!!!

Annica

It is rare that I give a Guerlain perfume thumbs down but unfortunately it was so so in this case. In the end, it is obviously about the skin type and other factors, but I was so disappointed that the scent did not develop on my skin. Lily of the valley, Lily of the Valley and..... Lily of the Valley! After two hours, a little amber. Splendor by Arden is a better and above all, cheaper, option in my opinion. Incredibly disappointed with this harsh edt of L'Instant, can´t stand it. No, that was too lame, I dislike it with passion. E-bay next.
I love the EdP that is something else - entirely.

laetitiavp

I am very surprised that there are only two reviews for such a beautiful scent. It is feminity and seduction in a bottle. Much subtle than the original EDP. A beautiful magnolia wrapped in amber. I find it more wearable than the original EDP because I prefer amber to honey which I sometimes find a bit cloying on my skin. Not that I dislike the smell of honey... Though EDT is lighter it is long-lasting with moderate sillage. The kind a fragrance which makes a man feel attracted closer to find out what s that delicious scent you re wearing.

dmaw

The best, lightest, and most modern of the Guerlain fragrances that I've tried so far.
