THIS. IS. SO. DELICIOUS. Caramelized vanilla and pear, with warm spices. A light floral touch to make it fairy-like. Amazing value too, you CANNOT go wrong.

Rickie-Refractory

I love Fancy but once the juice ages even a little bit and starts to turn a little darker, it becomes such an overwhelming scent.

littlesparks

This is the color rose gold if it were a scent. I love this perfume. It’s tart from the apricot and berries with a powdery bubbly feel. Very cozy without being too deep and woody. It’s sweet on my skin, tarter on clothing. I wonder if it will be overbearing in summer, I’m looking forward to testing it.

supahmadds

This fragrance might be a bit of a curveball for those seeking a cozy caramel-vanilla experience. Instead of indulging in those comforting dessert notes, it leans more towards a sophisticated blend of amber and powdery musk. While it might not hit the mark for those craving a gourmand treat, its sweet after-smell does seem to turn heads and garner compliments. For those seeking that warm embrace of caramel and vanilla, this scent might not be the perfect fit, but it could still find a place in your collection, especially if you enjoy experimenting with layering different fragrances for a customized aroma experience.

Blind bought thanks to an influencer and quickly found out peachy gourmand scents are not for me. The longevity of this perfume is insane. It's beautifully complex, with the initial spray being overly strong. The peach notes last throughout but become less "in your face" at dry down. The caramel shines as well. It's very sweet, very girly yet still remains a bit fresh from the fruity notes.

The girl wearing this is bubbly and youthful, loves to wear flowy and floral pieces, is flirty and carefree. If I was in my late teens or early 20s, I would absolutely wear this on the regular. As a mid 30s woman, this is too juvenile for me.

jennie23

Not a safe blind buy for me. There is a chemical and sharp scent that lingers and really bothers me. At least it was cheap.

Anniechannie

This is such a good cheapie. It is a sweet gourmand with a powdery background. This was a blind buy for me- I found it cheap at TJ Maxx and had heard great things. I'm really glad I did. It is sweet and yummy, but there is a bit of white floral in there making it more than just a gourmand. It isn't overpowering, just adds a touch of dimension. The bottle is cute. It definitely gives 2000s nostalgia. This is the type of scent I love and that works well with my chemistry. I'm happy to have it.

sugarh1ccup

I really wanted to like this one since everyone was saying it was a good cheap option, but to me it is just straight white floral. I don't get any caramel or fruitiness at all. It isn't bad but I don't see how it could be a gourmand perfume.

chunkymunki

It’s an okay fragrance but it’s just super powdery to me, it’s probably the most powdery fragrance I’ve smelt. Super amber smelling aswell, I bought this as it was advertised and I read so much about how vanilla and caramel this fragrance was and was super disappointed with how amber and powdery it is. I don’t really reach for this at all because of that. I’ve also had my bottle for a while so it’s macerated and yeah it’s just powdery like baby powder, don’t buy this thinking it’s a yummy vanilla because I really don’t think it is. Maybe sample if you can.

perfume_angel

I love this! 😍

One of the best celebrity fragrances in my humble opinion. It’s sweet, flirty, girly, and delicious. It smells like a warm ambery apricot, drizzled with caramel sauce and some berries ontop. It’s sweet but remains clean and effortless. The sillage of this is also gorgeous and it has pretty decent lasting power for the price point. It’s basically a warm fruity vanilla. Love love love🍓🍑🍮

katiejon

I am willing to entertain the notion that my bottle is just a dud.
But it came broken, and I was able to obviously smell it.
And the replacement smells the same.
I’m also absolutely not a frag-snob...
This, to me, smells like a really cheap perfume packaged and marketed towards little girls... in the 80’s. The kind where, even as a little girl, you know is just pretending to be a perfume, but isn’t a real one like mom’s. I cannot detect any notes, except for syrupy-chemically-sweet.
I just cannot make friends with this one... at all, in any way.
I will however be giving it another try if I ever see a tester at a store, just in case it’s a one (or two) off.
The bottle is very pretty though - so kudos for that!

audreyofarc

I agree with another reviewer; I wanted to love it, I almost did, but there's something I can't quite get over.

It's really, really nice when I smell it straight from the bottle. I have the new reformulated version of Fancy (the one with liquid that's practically clear) and I'm assuming it's way fruitier and fresher than the OG version. There's still caramel in this new version, but it's in the background for sure. Instead, I get lightly-caramelized PEACH hairspray, which I found really lovely at first. Juicy and surprisingly refreshing. The caramel note has gotten stronger since I've let it sit, but it's still in the background for sure.

Even so, I love a good fresh-fruity scent! And I thought this could be it, but...there's something off about it. Like...alcoholic almost? Combined with the peach, it was giving B&BW hand sanitizer, which ngl I quite like the smell of—just not in a perfume. So I don't know exactly what it is, but the dry-down irks me in a very subtle way. Something is off, a bit too synthetic/chemical.

It's not so obnoxious that I hate it. I do wear it every now and then, but tbh I usually stop enjoying it after a couple of hours after that alcoholic note comes out lol. Very unfortunate because it's an otherwise lovely scent. But I also just generally dislike boozy scents, so keep that in mind—if you love boozy notes, you might enjoy this.

Rainaflower

This has been a favourite of mine for over 10 years, I literally just received my 3rd bottle in the mail. 😍 I got a 100ml this time.
It smells sooooo pretty♥️ and not a day goes by that I don’t get compliments when I wear it.
I find it perfect for the colder seasons it makes me feel calm and beautiful when I do wear it . Though I have worn it on a couple summer days as well cause I missed it and as long as your not sweating your ars off, it works just as beautifully in summer as well .lol

earlyeveningsoup

This is almost SO good, but something is off for me. One of the fruity notes perhaps. Overall very nice for a celebrity fragrance and better quality than many perfumes at a higher price point. Going to try fancy love and see if I like that one better.

tanasha

Very similar to Cassili by Parfums de Marly. They both have florals, red berries (redcurrant specifically in Cassili), vanilla, and sandalwood. Really warm, boozy, and powdery. And very sweet. This is nice in the winter, but I’d be a little afraid to wear this in warm weather. It could easily feel suffocating, especially if you overspray.

girldeadbug

Note to myself to try this frag again, perhaps others in the line.

I bought a bottle off Mercari and it smelled like what I can only describe as disgusting. I’ve never had a spoiled perfume before but BLEGH! You will know when you do!

nathanm0

the caramel is non existent - smells like a very weak version of pink sugar, heavy on the gardenia smells super powdery

yunapie

Layering this with Tumeric Latte from Lush, is lushly heavenly.

SarahPepper

Not sure if this has been reformulated or I just have a bad bottle but I got a new bottle today and it has barely any smell. Maybe a little smell of having just used soap.

RMG518

One of the ladies in my office just walked past me with this on and I had to follow her to find out what it was. Smells wonderful.

jadepo21

I know this is listed as a sweet fragrance and so many people call it a gourmand, and it is. I get it. But it’s also got a boozy coziness to it. A warmth and comfort. It is truly delightful, but for me, there is very little longevity. For a scent that makes me this happy and costs so little, I will reapply. But it would be a showstopper if it lasted.

braxypooh

ummm Jessica idk what you put in this but IM OBSESSED

this is currently my favorite perfume right now. it smells so good oh my gosh i could literally eat it. (i usually don't feel that way about perfumes)

in the beginning, this perfume is so juicy. a blast of fruitiness (apricot and red berries) with a lot of sweetness, like caramel drizzled on top and almond chopped up and put on top of that.

i do get some floral notes (i don't like floral notes) but it's blended so well that it isn't even that bad.

and in the end, i get caramel, vanilla, and amber. it's just so beautiful and i will be getting the full set of this because i just loveee it omg.

it lasts about a good 5 hrs on me. i also spray it on my clothes so that makes it last longer but im gonna get the full set and see if it lasts even longer than that.

thank you Jessica for this perfume lol 🫶🏾

startoonish

smelled at first spray/if you just sniff the nozzle, it smells like my grandma's house. there's something very distinctly old-fashioned about it, in my opinion. but the grandma-y-ness fades away to a slightly floral, mostly sweet kinda thing. not my type cause of the opening but good if you like a more traditional gourmand

perfumejunkie90s

Sweet caramely perfume goodness!, one of my favorite Perfumes in my collection, gourmand but not edible, it's a " every day perfume" that you can wear day and night and wherever, it's sweet and a bit Gourmand, I get that caramel note but I also get this slight fruitiness that's not overpowering, my sis hates this perfume, she calls it a perfume that smells like a pr0stitue I completely disagree thought its inexpensive, but doesn't smell cheap and can be layered with other Perfumes

Acid210

This one performs big time on me! It lasted a full day and when I got home from work at 5pm, my bedroom still smelled of this from spraying it at 8am! This and the key (by Justin Bieber) are the most underrated celebrity perfumes! This one is sweet caramel + Vanilla + Amber. To me, this basically smells like a creme caramel! Very delicious gourmand!

Tip: layer this with any unisex/oud fragrance to make it feminine.

JanuaryZero

The opening is straight bug spray. But the dry down is a delicious cinnamon graham cracker

SueLidstone

I thought I would like this fragrance because I love pear and caramel, but unfortunately I find this to be very fake and plastic smelling on me.

juliajulianna

I really like this one! It’s kind of sexy and very sweet. I don’t why it wouldn’t fit for serious occasions. I actually think it’s quite elegant!

Shimmer412

Absolutely beautiful sweet vanilla gourmand fragrance!😍 I’ve been a fan for over 10 years! It’s a classic to me and will always have a place in my collection!

I really pick up on the vanilla, caramel, almond, amber, and sandalwood notes, and I do notice a soft fruity floral side as well! It’s such a lovely fragrance… beautiful, sweet, and flirty!

I get excellent performance with Fancy, which makes it even more of a great deal for the price! The longevity is incredible, I can still smell it on me the next morning! The projection is great as it radiates out a few feet from me!

I’m a huge vanilla gourmand fan and I always recommend this for vanilla and gourmand lovers! For reference, some of my other favorites in this category include: Kayali Vanilla 28, Gold Sugar, Burberry Goddess, Nest Golden Nectar, Philosophy Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere, Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Gold Couture, VS Tease Crème Cloud, and VS Tease Candy Noir

Dee97

Ok I’ve decided, I don’t like this perfume anymore - it smells too synthetic 😩 it literally gives me headaches. If it wasn’t for that I’d totally love it.

Edit: now I like it again.. lol this is such a love/hate fragrance for me. I layered it with EOS Vanilla Cashmere lotion so maybe that had something to do with it but it smells nice again 😭

Bibi16

The mixture of the fruits comes of as peach on my skin and I do not enjoy peach as a note. Not a bad fragrance just not worth the hype. Very light and not much sweetness (on my skin). Very mellow and not a projector either

elmos

so this doesn't smell like caramel or vanilla to me, I don't get any vanilla at all.. and barely any caramel. if that's what you're looking for u won't find it but it's a REALLY good perfume, it smells amazing. I get a sweet fruity musk scent. doesn't last long but that's what u get for the price I guess.. it's honestly still a safe blind buy if u like sweet fruity scents

crissy25

This is very nice vanilla scent. I get the caramel as well. It's simple but delightful to wear. Average performance and the bottle is cute. If you like sweet, vanilla scents then this is an easy reach. It's super affordable and easy to wear.

Longevity: 6/10
Projection: 5/10
Overall Experience: 7/10

PrincessKitana

I agree with the author of a comment, that this smells like soap and not a pleasant smelling soap, but as a regular smell, which’s quite often used also in public places. It’s not a bad smell, but I don’t get any caramel or pastries 🤔 i was hoping for ( as I’m a gourmand lover) I tested Fancy bodymist three times, that i was inRoss and I wasn’t even eager putting it on my skin, that’s how much I disliked it…Some person in the comments wrote you need to wait for Fancy to settle on your skin, soo ,I suggest trying it on your skin and see before buying!

Blizzie99

This is absolutely beast mode fragrance. It’s strong and lasts a long time. I mainly smell red berries and a bit of caramel.

brandiwine1980

I’ve been wanting to test this for years! I stole a spray from my niece when she wasn’t home since she doesn’t like to share! I pick up the apricot, almond, white flowers and vanilla! I love it! Smells rich and classy! Definitely full bottle, blind buy and gift giving worthy! I will be picking one up at Ross or another discount store asap! Sad I didn’t give this a go years ago! It’s a love for me!

AlliCat1215

This is a great value for money. Lasts a long time and has a rich sweet scent. I didn’t like it the first time I used it but then it grew on me. I do not think it’s a dupe for VLJ.

PrettyScentz

Where can I buy a version of this that won’t smell like it’s gone bad? I so want a bottle in my collection!

Perfumedsecrets

One of the best celebrity perfumes. I wore this often around 2009, and keep a bottle for the memories most of all. It has great lasting power and never turns harsh or sickly sweet.

SweetEnigmaticSoul

I’ll always and forever love Jessica Simpson’s Fancy perfume! In 2012, soooo many people, men & women , would stop to ask my what scent I was wearing!

I’ll always keep this bottle in heavy rotation! So many wonderful memories with this fragrance!!…❤️

Avajoy-15

I have had this for a while, and no matter which new fragrance I might indulge in, I ALWAYS find myself reaching for Fancy. It is sweet, but not too sweet, and has such depth. I get a sweet caramel, gardenia, powdery scent in the dry-down and I LOVE it. I must say, though, I do not get the fruit notes in the opening. If I do, it is just the slightest bit of apricot. 10/10. Longevity is surprisingly good too. I'll have to get another bottle.

Fraggfreak

First impression was that I hated it! I thought it smelled way too mature. I waited a while and tried it again and it really settles into such a yummy pastry type scent. I get lots of compliments on this where as my pricy perfumes I get nothing 😂 I will always repurchase. I do suggest letting it macerate. The juice will darken over time and that’s when it really starts to stand out.

FlowerSeeker

I’m loving Fancy! The fruit and florals are gorgeous. The addition of vanilla and sandalwood makes it even better. I think I detect a bit of honey and cinnamon too. Maybe that’s just me.

It was a bit too sweet for me at the start but quickly blossomed into a beautiful and well rounded scent. I’m sensitive to amber, but it’s used subtly here and works very well. Great for day or night. I will wear this again!

Goldena35

To me this smells very much like Burberry Brit and Juicy Couture Gold. But more synthetic. I was glad I tested it before buying because the notes sounded great. It’s not bad but it would have been redundant for my collection.

violets1

It is strong and I get compliments

darkgiu

I own this fragrance, it was a blind buy because I like all the notes but it smells totally synthetic and I need to resell it..

badbubbles

I find that this perfume is very unique and different from the other gourmet fragrances that are on the market. it's not stated here but this perfume smells exactly like goddess by Burberry.

A13xandra

I loved this for the first year that I had it, it was a cozy vanilla, kind of soapy but pretty and easy to wear. I just tried it today and all I can smell is public bathroom hand wash :( I had to wash it off, I don’t know if it’s because I tried it in warmer weather and it just didn’t suit me, I’ll try it again when it’s cooler and see if I can find my love for it again.

noodlehead19

like a caramel macaron with pear filling, drizzled with a sweet berry compote. I mostly get pear & caramel with a little almond peeking through in the dry down. it's sweet, yes, but I think the red berries give it a nice freshness that really works, somehow. if you've ever smelled English Laundry No. 7, this is basically the nighttime version. I think this has pretty good sillage/lasting power for a cheapie, plus for the price I don't mind over spraying to really give it some oomph. I prefer it for daytime wear, but I can also see why someone might wear it on a night out - it's a cute, attractive, alluring scent. will definitely be repurchasing if/when I run out.

faithy22

This is not a safe blind buy even though I thought it was
:( I was craving gourmand and caramel sweetness and I just got synthetic florals and some almond extract. It actually made me feel sick every time I tried to spray it and wear it. It is not giving what I wanted it to give and I would not recommend this to a gourmand lover

EleniVita

I love this perfume but it is so overpriced in Europe!
If anyone interested in selling this please contact me.

Amber&Oud

alleged notes:
pear, peach, red fruits, caramel, almonds, gardenia, jasmine, amber, vanilla, sandalwood

what i smell:
fruit? maybe?

scent event / my reaction:
this smells like the woman who prefers a fruity little drinks cause she can't shoot whiskey lol

babybels777

There's nothing gourmand about Fancy. All I smell is almonds and white florals. Very powdery and green.

I got this because it was compared to Viva La Juicy Gold Couture, but it smells nothing like this. There is no sweet fruits or caramel. This smells like a fragrance an older woman would wear. Maybe this will get better over time. Disappointed.

fairycoffins

I’ve had my eye on this fragrance for years — the notes were calling to me, the reviews had me sold — I promised myself I’d grab a bottle if I ever found it at Walmart or Ross or something. I ultimately never ran into Fancy in the wild, so I recently decided to pull the trigger and order a 3.4 oz off of eBay. I mean, the price was right, not an expensive gamble. I finally tried her last night and wow, not at all what I was expecting! Fancy is very distinctly different from my other caramel fragrances (VLJ Gold Couture, Bon Bon) with her somewhat powdery floral opening. It definitely reads as more perfumey and less gourmand than what I’d had in mind. She’s a little more mature, and definitely longer lasting, and has honestly exceeded my expectations. I’m glad I bought the biggest bottle, it was $25 well spent. Different enough from my other caramels and vanillas, and she has earned a permanent spot in my rotation. I love her.

insanelystellar

This should be a total winner for me, but alas, this was a straight up bust. I bought this about 2 months ago, and upon initial testing, was greeted by nothing more than SUPER green heady white florals. I typically love jasmine but I felt the vintage-y gardenia over took every single other note listed. I tucked it away in my dark cool closet to revisit later on, in hopes that macerating would bring out the "sticky sweet Gourmande" elements everyone raves about... I was sadly disappointed with my second trial. On my skin this is nothing but white florals alllllllll day. I don't typically mind that (I thoroughly enjoy sweet white florals) but mixed with a powdery element, this gives me a very vintage/mature kinda vibe, and I just can't get with it. Mom's birthday is this weekend, so she'll be super excited to get the full size EDP of her all time favorite body spray. Not a safe blind buy, but for $25 bucks I'm not mad... Just disappointed.

jessikarr08

I thought i'd like this perfume because it features my favorite note of caramel.

I bought it from the store before trying a tester because they didn't have a tester avaliable. i regret my decisison 100 percent. i can sort of smell the caramel but mostly it smells like lychee and PLASTIC. i will wear this fragrance on a night out perhaps but other than that id rather use it as lighter fluid than spray it on me.

natasha28

Jessica Simpson Fancy - Love it! I finally got a hold of a smaller size, 15 ml to try BC I've been wanting to try it for forever as I love gourmands. The first time I smelled it I didn't really like it, I was expecting caramel sweetness, but I got a sickly too-rich sweetness. Over time I have grown to love it, it reminds me of Lush's Honey I Washed The Kids/Bumble Bee moisture/exfoliator bar. It's more of a toffee scent than caramel. There is a sweet syrup thickness/boldness. The fruit notes aren't really noticeable to me, if there is a pear note it'd be a bit similar to Lush's pear, but not strong enough. I can't detect the florals, but maybe they stop the fragrance from being too sickly sweet and wearable.
I thought Juicy Couture Gold and this would smell the same, but they don't Fancy is more gourmand and Gold is softer with a slight floral. I think it might be on the same scent family as Burberry Brit. It's not for everyone as it is sweet and would be better for colder months, I'd wear it during the daytime and night, but it would be a very sexy date night scent.
The sillage is good at arms length+, I get a yummy waft every once in a while, a nice bold perfume. I would keep if gifted and I might buy another small bottle once I run out. Ages 25-35 and feminine. avoid over spraying BC it could get cloying.

Nena's Nana

I’ve been loving my Vanilla fragrances, so I found it crazy how Fancy - an inexpensive, less than $20. bottle of perfume - last much, MUCH LONGER than Hufflepuff ($360.) or Burberry Goddess ($100-170.)

In fact, (very rare) do I need to be properly moisturized for Fancy to perform all day. When it comes to the other said vanillas, I must exfoliate with vanilla shower gel & moisturize with a vanilla body oil & vanilla body cream, topped with a fine fragrance mist PRIOR to the actual vanilla fragrance of the day.

I feel like it’s a forgotten fragrance bc it’s so inexpensive but add this juice to a Xerjoff or Roja bottle & it could easily be sold - and would - at niche prices.

Fancy is absolutely worth having in your collection. It’s a great year round, gourmand fragrance.

MY favorite layering products that goes well with Fancy:

B&BW Wrapped in Vanilla, Fireside Flurries, Midnight Amber Glow, Sweet Whiskey

Victoria’s Secrets - Bare Vanilla or Star Smoked Amber

moonsunstars

Fancy has become one of my go to Gourmand fragrances. I admit, I didn't give it a fair chance when I first bought it a couple of years ago.....but with time it has become an absolute favorite (and one I keep backup bottles of!). I wouldn't normally describe a fragrance as delicious, but this one literally smells like a heavenly caramel dessert. I'd say I do get slight florals at first spray, but I can't quite pinpoint what notes I pick up. After about ten minutes though, the caramel is pretty much front and center. The amber and vanilla in the base really elevate the sweetness, while the Sandalwood adds a slightly spicy touch. Performance is really good - I get about five hours on skin, and even longer on clothes. I've received a compliment while wearing this as well, so that makes me happy. Fancy is a keeper, and I hope to always have a bottle in my collection.

ElusiveChanteuse

My favorite celebrity scent of all time and will always have a spot on my “main girls” perfume tray. When I wear this in the summer time I add Country Apple by BBW to bring out the freshness of this fragrance. In the colder months I add Bare Vanilla and Vanilla 28 to bring out the sweetness. I’m on my fourth bottle at this point.

greentea1983

It opens very peachy and fruity, then dries down to a vanilla and caramel scent. The caramel stays the longest. I enjoyed the way it developed on my skin. It's very sweet and feminine, with a pumpkin spice latte, bath and body works Fairytale, college age white woman kind of vibe. Not sophisticated but not bad either. The price is great and the bottle is beautiful!

AbbyLaRue

I wore this perfume religiously in high school until I started presenting symptoms of autoimmune disease and my nose totally changed. The scents I used to love, Fancy, Taylor Swift Wonderstruck Enchanted and BBW Velvet Sugar (all of which are warm and extremely sweet) made me want to vomit and induced instantaneous migraines, so I eagerly threw all of them in the trash. The past couple of years I’ve been able to wear perfume again; overly sweet scents are less of a headache than they were for awhile, but I still don’t think I’d ever revisit this one. It smells like an intense burnt sugar/caramel. This stuff is eternal, making it great for the value for the price but just thinking about the sillage makes my head throb. It would linger on my jackets for weeks!

Bree0904

By far my favorite cheapie perfume!! It’s a sweet fruity-almond-caramel-vanilla dream.. She’s not beast mode, not a huge sillage but for the price the longevity is pretty freaking good.. I get at least 4 hrs on my skin and it lingers even longer on clothes.. I love this one!!

Blizzie99

Such a great, cheap scent! It smells like apricot, berries, and caramel to me. It last a couple hours on skin and well over 24 hours on clothes (if you spray enough).

kawaiithugg

I'm so glad I read a review that said give it a minute to dry down. At first I was super upset with the cheap synthetic spray it gives off initially, but give it about 20-30min and it turns into an almond/vanilla cake. It smells HEAVENLY. I bought a smaller bottle because it was a blind buy, I'm already half way done.

chelsmells

IN A SENTENCE: the very best the mid 2000’s celebrity fragrance era/craze has to offer.

What other praise could I give her? She is cheap, she is scrumptious, she is everlasting. Okay? What more could you want?

Seriously, if you like sweet feminine gourmands and being nice to your wallet, you could not dream up a better fragrance. It’s the quintessential (kind of slutty lol) crowd-pleasing sweet profile men supposedly go crazy for, but it still has a comfy vibe to it that adds a layer beyond sensual appeal that feels fun and great to embody. Not sophisticated by any stretch, but still yummy and carefree. It’s cozy. It doesn’t try too hard.

It’s heavy with the caramelized brown sugar vibes, so definitely a fragrance more fit for fall and winter. The fruits give it a clean edge (and yes, it can read a bit shampoo-y). The only negative thing I can think to say is that it does have a harsh alcohol opening. Just give it 5 minutes on the skin to develop. Did I mention it lingers for the gods? Because it does. Dionysus can smell this shit from all the way back in time. The longer it lingers, the more warm and caramelized it becomes.

This is my go-to fragrance since I live in a cold climate. I was able to get a decant of delina exclusif, and to my surprise I had a feeling I’ve been able to smell it before – I realized it was JS Fancy. The drydown of Delina Exclusif and JS Fancy smells very similar imo, it’s just so weird knowing this is really cheap compared to the former. This is a fragrance that won’t offend anyone, it just smells good.

The Frougie Fragranista

This perfume reminds me of the Sol De Janeiro Cheroisa '71 body mist, I like to layer the two.

yeesa_

I think its a greater starter fragrance for any teen girl. I feel like I grew out of it but its still such a great sweet cheapie

iammelody

I had this many years ago, and I still remember it vividly. That's how remarkable it is. It's a rather heady, sweet, gooey and powdery aroma with a slight hint of something vintage in there. Caramel and apricot stood out the most on my skin. It lasted FOREVER. Anymore than two sprays will choke out everyone around you. Quite unique for a celebrity fragrance (I love celeb frags regardless).
I decluttered it for a stupid reason. OK maybe not so stupid, but it kept flooding my head with awful memories of the time when I was wearing it often. It kept bringing me right back to a horrific period of my life... But all that is gone now and life is good. I'm missing this now. I might give it another shot because I think I can handle it now.

marietangerine

I don’t see Floral Street Sweet Almond Blossom up on fragrantica yet, but I received a sample of the fragrance in a recent Sephora order and to my nose it smells nearly identical to Fancy. FS SAB has notes of pink pomelo, passionfruit, mandarin, apple blossom, matcha, heliotrope, vanilla, tonka, and sandalwood. It’s giving me fruity, caramel, powdery, woody. It’s giving me Fancy.

ReeReeLove

I can't believe it took me this long to buy this fragrance. It's so pretty. It's a sweet, powdery, caramel/vanilla dream. I'm not super big on gourmand scents but this has gourmand elements but it's also fresh and floral at the same time. I have Fancy Love which I think is just ok. But this is so much better. I love it!! 😍

Dhayana

It has a sharp boozy/sour smell at first spray, I think its all the top notes fruits. GIVE IT 30m & Voilà !
Delicious almond sponge cake 🍰

spellbook.soaps

The reviews were soooo good… I really wanted to like it. It does smell a bit sweet on a breezy day or next to a fan, but on my skin it just smelled like glue. Heavy floral for me, which isn’t bad, but I hoped it would be sweeter. I’m definitely going to sell it. The lotion repulses me.

lilifums

gardenia note is screechy and too prominent at the start buttt the dry down is amazing, it smells like caramelised vanilla and it leaves a trail. my friend said i smelled like sugar when i walk passed. lasts me all day and projects quite a bit

passthemustard

Soft. Sweet. Pleasant. Comfortable. Unassuming. Cozy. Inexpensive.

marietangerine

This is nice. Delicious and warm, with a splash of tartness from the berries. I mostly get red berries, caramel, pear *and gardenia. It reminds me of a “brighter” JPG La Belle. Definitely smells like a solid designer, not your classic “celeb perfume”. If you like sweet, girly fragrances this is fantastic for the price!

My apologies to all lovers if this fragrance but this was a huge nope for me. I love Fancy Love but there is something in the strong top notes that reminds me of bug spray. I became nauseous and had to scrub it off immediately.

books.art.dogs

If this had a designer name on it instead of a celebrity's, people would be buying this beauty like crazy.
It's mass appealing- sweet without being cloyingly so, moderate sillage with great longevity. For example, this is my after shower/at home perfume, and my bath robe permanently smells of Fancy. I pick it up, and I immediately get wafts of almond and fruits.

Fancy opens with these fresh, sweet fruit notes then settles to a delicious almond/amber/sandalwood. My nose really picks up the almond, so if that's a favorite note for you- you'll enjoy this perfume. To compare it to other floral/fruity gourmands- I definitely smell the similarity to V&R's BonBon and Viva la Juicy Gold Couture, although I find Bonbon to be more powdery and Viva la Juicy Gold to be more fruity.

Momopeach

Imagine eating a bowl with peach cobbler and a huge dollop of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and an extremely generous drizzle of caramel sauce while you're sitting on grandma's front porch, admiring her garden and watching the sunset. There is something wholesome and nostalgic in this scent.

This is definitely one of the BEST celebrity scents, in fact it's shocking that they sell a smell this good for so cheap. AND its quite long lasting on clothes, I could smell it on me still after a 12 hour workday (by the way I overspray).

suzanne_ronald

APRICOT, PEAR & CARAMEL Gourmand. Opens with a sweet, fruity-gourmand burst of apricot, pear & red berries, that deepens into a caramel heart with creamy, sweet, almond, powdery, fresh, floral & near-violet nuances, all resting on a vanilla amber-wood base. The caramel here is not as forward as some comparators and has a sheer quality. There's a hint of a yellow-floral here (not listed), and a darkness in the base, that reads as tonka to my nose (not listed), and way into the drydown it takes on a cherry-cinnamon vibe (not listed). Personally I get reminders of Good Girl Carolina Herrera, Hanae Mori Hanae Mori & Joop! Le Bain. Seekers & collectors of gourmand scents won't be disappointed. Above average performance for a year-round wearing experience.

Contrast to Viva La Juicy Gold Couture Juicy Couture:
These are different, but there are similarities with a caramel-gourmand vibe. VLJGC is more caramel forward, while Fancy has a more forward apricot-pear. Roughly equivalent performance.

Contrast to I Want Choo Jimmy Choo:
These are different, but there is a similar fruity gourmand vibe in the openings. Both are sweet, but IWC dries down sweeter. Roughly equivalent performance.

Contrast to Ari Ariana Grande:
These are different, but there is a similar fruity gourmand vibe. Ari has a more forward whipped quality. Fancy outperforms.

Contrast to BonBon Viktor&Rolf:
These are different, but there are similarities with a fruity gourmand vibe. BonBon has a more forward caramel, while Fancy has a more forward apricot-pear. Roughly equivalent.

Contrast to Dior Addict EDT Dior:
These are different. Dior Addict EDT is more about jasmine-sambac, while Fancy is more of a fruity-gourmand. Roughly equivalent performance.

Contrast to Brazilian Crush Cheirosa '62 Sol de Janeiro:
These are different, but there is a similar caramel-nutty gourmand quality. BC has the nutty quality more forward amd a saltiness not present in Fancy, while Fancy has a more forward pear-apricot. Both have a faint but pleasant doll's head note, but it's more forward in BC. Fancy outperforms.

Contrast to Hanae Mori Hanae Mori:
These are different, but there is a similar fruity & brown-sugar/caramel gourmand quality. There is a hint of a yellow-floral in Fancy that reminds me of HM, but HM has darker fruit in the opening while Fancy has a more forward pear-apricot opening. Fancy dries down richer & deeper with near-cherry tones. HM is more similar to the Fancy Body Spray, but has roughly equivalent performance to Fancy EDP.

Overall: Above average performance, with a refreshingly complex gourmand scent profile. I'm enjoying the reminders to many of my favourites. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

alKaori

wth, i don't get any caramel AT ALL. ugh, it smells like licorice on me?? must be the gardenia/jasmine i am not a fan of....i really expected to like this from the descriptions and reviews that i have read but this is a big nope. something in this really hits me wrong, like with the adam levine for women. ah well, a "cheapie" giveaway to someone - my giveaway collection is getting pretty big lol.

edit, ugh i have to wash this off my arm, it's making me nauseous 😕

ravenjane

Such a pretty fragrance !! I was a bit nervous about this celebrity fragrance at first, since I *really* dislike Britney Spears' more fruity, teenager fragrances; but Jessica Simpson's Fancy most certainly does not disappoint. I absolutely love how this smells; its a sweet, almondy caramel vanilla goodness. The fruity notes disappear almost immediately, however. But it lasts long, and meshes well with my skin; I've been complimented even hours after not being able to smell it on myself.

I love mixing this with Bare by Victoria's Secret; I always receive compliments when I wear the two.
Found a 100mL bottle for about $20 at Ross; well worth the buy.

In my opinion, if you like Fancy, you'll like Fancy Love as a scent more geared towards the warmer months ;)

Detman101

Picked up a small bottle of this to see how it flows.
To me, it feels like "Jimmy Choo - I Want Choo" but with apricot & red berries instead of the Peach.
Right now, the Gardenia note is blasting everything else away. Wish I could smell the Almond, vanilla and caramel...more than anything else.
But I have a good feeling that in about 2wks-1mo this will macerate and the other notes within it will become discernible.

Until then, I'll use it as a nice floral addition to lighten up my heavier musky/oudy/patchy fragrances.

Edit: Nope...wore it once, wife took it. Frankly, it smells better on her than it does on me.

Syrupy, caramel sweetness with a powdery dry down! I can smell the almond, caramel, amber, and apricot. This fragrance is very well known, if I smelled this anywhere I know EXACTLY that it’s fancy. Regardless, I still think it’s great fragrance to have :) It’s strong, projects well and lasts a long time! My boyfriend loves this fragrance on me, I love to wear it on cuddle nights or at the movies, it’s a great comforting fragrance. An amazing cheapie!

hpeeters

It’s syrupy sweet! a true gourmand. Smells delish and i get a lot of caramel. Too sweet for my liking though. I just prefer to not smell like a candy shop because i’d probably have a sweet tooth all day. My fav fancy is…I fancy you. Fancy love is lovely but too light! I do appreciate this line because all the flankers are very different from one another so I feel there is a fancy for everyone. ♥️

Ainasyasam

Easily one of my favorites perfume in my current collection. Begged my husband to get it for me out of hype from YouTubers, and at first I wasn't getting it. First few sprays all I get was the fruity juicy lychee. Eventhough it's not listed. I left it for a week or so and came back to it. The fruity accord was less noticable in the opening, and the dry down of sweet gourmand vanilla caramel is to die for. It's totally worth the hype in my opinion.

Performance not that great, but considering it was really cheap, I don't mind to overspray. I mainly wear it at at home when I'm cuddling with my husband as it turns intimate skin scent really quick and you really have to be close to the wearer to appreciate it. My husband loves it and so do it. The dry down is not your typical celebrity perfume in my opinion. Lasts longer on clothes than on skin, but if layered correctly may last up to 5hours on skin.

I love viva la juicy gold couture, and to me they don't smell similar. Same vibe, but different scent. I'd definitely keep both in my collection and are absolute repurchase.

shoujomarina

caramel drizzled over berries. easy gourmand! almost identical to Ari! i think ima buy whichever is cheaper. i will say that this one is the more muted version of Ari. ari is more juicy and sweet

Petrelli

If this hits the top limit of your budget, it is definitely not a bad perfume. To me, it smells a lot like peachy Garnier shampoo - sweet, happy and clean. Nice for a day at home, quick spritz at swimming pool or any (trully) casual occasion, when you want to smell nice without spending a ton of money. On clothes it lasts all day. I can see myself wearing this as a teenager or nowadays as a hair mist.
To any of you, who are used to higher-end perfumes, this is not a way to go.:)

kayvee1102

I saw this and Fantasy really cheap and remembered all the great reviews they had so I purchased both. Oh my, thankfully I paid less than $10 each. Both are tragic. I didn't have high expectations and Fancy was the worst of the two. A real scrubber. I didn't get any fruit or vanilla, maybe a bad batch? Try this before buying.

Kizzyb93

When my teenage daughter came home with this and asked to smell it to see what I thought of it. She did not believe me that are used to own lives when I was a teen.
I do really like the scent, but I am way too old to be wearing something like this nowadays. Keep on getting wiffs of pure sugar as she walked past. Perfect for a teen

mnkfragrantica

Just absolutely warm and delicious! Sweet, but not sickening. The caramel, amber and vanilla are oh so cozy, but the jasmine and orange keep it from being flat and boring. My memories are tied strongly to scents, and this is absolutely perfection in September through December. I smell this and instantly want to make caramel apples for Halloween and start my Christmas shopping after Thanksgiving dinner.

My only complaint...this is gone off my skin in just a few hours. I have to keep the bottle with me and reapply throughout the day. If this had lasting power, it would be perfect.

moresco_rouge

I have to say I am in the same boat a D97 in her review.
I got this perfume two years ago and there was something screechy that I did not like. I found it somewhat a bit obnoxious despite being fruity sweet. It had a hairspray tinge…
Yesterday I sprayed it and I love it! I am not sure what sorcery this is but I am going to wear it a lot before the weather warms up.

Anything4talishas

Great fall perfume to mix with any of your pumpkin b&bw body sprays. I think it smells beautiful and if you need something affordable and that will do the job, this is it! A 3.4 oz won’t be more than $25 at most discount stores or websites. It lasts decently on the clothes and in the hair, so/so on the skin.

Beacon631

This reminds me of the 80’s/90’s musk perfumes. But sweeter. It is a fairly light scent so I use this as a hair mist.

Marianna Lival

This to me smells like a pretty woman in the early 2000s sporting a juicy couture tracksuit. It's very nostalgic. The gardenia is prominent, especially at the top, and gives this a KKW fragrances vibe. I like the dry down but the top isn't really for me and after owning it for a few months I find that I don't reach for it. I will probably give this away soon.

briannadedrew

smells very similar to viva la juicy gold couture but with apricot. i enjoy apricot in perfumes but unfortunately it is very sharp and screechy in this one, so i prefer the juicy couture one. was hoping it would be a bit creamier but it was cheap so no harm no foul. i could do without it though.

JessiePooh

Received it on yesterday. I sprayed a little bit on me last night and my fiancé came in the room and immediately complimented me on how good I smelled! I’m wearing it today also. I’ll see how well it does throughout the day. The perfume is amazingly pretty :). I know many people suggest that this scent is a fall/winter/night scent. It’s like 80 degrees where I am. Yes, it’s still February lol. The woes of living in the south, but I wear what I want when I want ;). I just make sure to spray sweeter scents sparingly during warmer months.

To my nose i pick up the pear and a salty caramel fresh vibe. The fresh aspect is why i feel you can get away with this scent in warmer temperatures. The price is pretty good and worth the money. It’s a classy scent, not childish at all. Try it!

Update: This is my new signature scent! It lasted all day today and just smells soooooo gooood!

whisperology

One of my first perfume loves, this was discovered by teenaged me asking a lady at the store what she was wearing. She smelled absolutely delicious, edible! It really projected enough for me to follow the scent trail and get to the bottom of it.

I get the florals instantly - they're a bit sharp on first spray and are truly not a good indication of what this fragrance becomes with wear. I don't get much fruit, and the fruit I do get is not fresh or uplifting. Overall the scent is candied and dense.

Fancy, for the majority of it's wear, is incredibly well balanced. As syrupy as it can be it's somehow not too sweet, not too floral, not too fruity. I do get a bit of an incensy, spicy vibe - perhaps from the sandalwood? Either way, it's comforting. I'd call this a grown-up gourmand. It's a winter hug by the fire. This winter-only for me.

As others remark, it smells expensive, and the name Fancy is fitting.

Can smell this on my clothes the next day.

Eurasian

Ok so I bought the 8oz JS Fancy body spray. I'm going to start off by saying it smells nothing like I remember the perfume smelling years ago. Idk if I got a bad batch but smells like an older ladies perfume. I know perfumes and body sprays are a little different but this is just not even in the same family. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this experience with the JS FANCY body spray??? My expectations were so hi and couldn't wait until the mail came.😣 Oh well glad I didn't spend a lot of $. Well this is just my own experience and opinion. Oh well on to the next one. ✌🏼 Health and Happiness

Dee97

I wrote a review on this a while back saying how much I disliked this perfume, I don’t know what has changed but I love it now. I think it’s because I let it sit for a few months. When I first got it, I couldn’t smell any caramel/vanilla, just gardenia and it smelt like air freshener to me. In fact I couldn’t stand it. Fast forward a few months later, I can actually smell the caramel, it’s a gourmand scent but it has this clean vibe to it which I love as it’s not cloying. I think this could easily become one of my favourite perfumes! I think it works best in the cooler months and perhaps spring but it would probably be a bit much for summer unless you wear it in the evening. Every time I catch a whiff of myself I just keep thinking how good I smell! For anyone who buys this and doesn’t like it at first, let it sit for a few months and see if you like it because I was ready to sell my bottle but now I LOVE this scent. And with the price, you really can’t go wrong!

EDIT: this has become my new signature winter fragrance! I’m always craving this smell and when I spray it I’m just so mesmerised by it. Normally I get sick of perfumes if i wear it too much but I see myself wearing this everyday without getting tired of it! Also I’ve had lots of compliments wearing this which only happens with a few of my perfumes. Also, my friend said she could still smell this on her after I hugged her, so it’s definitely a strong perfume (but soft and airy at the same time). I’d say 1-3 sprays is enough as if you overspray it can be headache inducing!

Astroditz

This is a fantastic perfume. Picked mine up for under 20 bucks at Ross as we've all heard of her and I just had to try it for myself. I'm soo happy with it, its fluffy and clean and sweet. Maybe a little too sticky for the humid Texas days but it's such a winner on the cooler days. I've been told I smell very nice and surely you will to. It's not sweet in a juvenile way, not at all. I feel very pretty and feminine when I wear it. Highly recommend, lasts a long time and you cannot beat that price. Yep, she's a keeper and imo worthy of the hype.

DarkestBee28

Appropriately named. Upon first sniff I exclaimed, “Oooooo… fancy….”

If that’s your thing, go for it, darling. ✨✌🏼✨

snoopy2

I found this on sale at Burlington and picked it up as it’s famous in frag world. Apricot is the most noticeable to me. It’s like opening a can of apricots.

People call this a floral fruity gourmand and I think that’s right but it is 1/3 floral - 1/3 fruity - 1/3 gourmand. So it doesn’t smell like a traditional gourmand to me which would be heavier on the vanilla and caramel. Perfumes like Black Opium and Hypnotic Poison are sweeter and richer IMO. This is more like a sweet shampoo smell.

Edited to add: this one definitely gets sweeter over time. A couple months in and the sugar smell is ramped up so now its less of a shampoo scent and more of a gourmand. It is a pleasant, sweet smell.

jreyes366

I've left reviews on this fragrance before, but I feel it needs some more love and attention!

This fragrance ticks all the gourmand boxes for me and seemingly for a large amount of people. The caramel alone is absolutely addictive in this fragrance!

The caramel is gooey and warm, almost salty. Then you have contrast with the pear and apricot, leaving a jammy accord. The gardenia is absolutely beautiful and creamy within the whole composition. The Almond and Vanilla in this is are the backing of all the notes! It creates a powdery, sweet trail.

If you love sweet fragrances that aren't considered "for younger people", then you will love this. It's mature enough for a 70 year old lady and lively enough for a 20 year old lady.

However, I do not like gender conforming with fragrances or anything else really. Men, women, non binary, teens, give this a sniff! This is an oldy but a goody and has been in my collection since 2009.

Please take time to consider this if you have never sampled it, you will be pleasantly surprised with the quality and fall in love instantly!
Best wishes to all my fellow Fragrantians! Happy sniffing!

mesalem

Despite seeing so many positive reviews of this fragrance, both on YouTube and here, I was still surprised by how good it is! I have quite a few designer and niche fragrances and this ranks in the top 10. At this price point, it’s beyond a great value. It’s a sweet gourmand without smelling cheap or too generic. People have added Bonbon in the “this perfume reminds me of” and I agree to some extent. I own Bonbon the OG as well as 3 of its flankers since I just love it! However, Fancy doesn’t smell so much like the OG as it does Bonbon Pastel. It smells almost EXACTLY like Bonbon Pastel since it has a lighter, airier scent than the OG Bonbon, which is a bit more dense and less fruity. Of course, Fancy is way less expensive than any Bonbon while not smelling cheaper. I sprayed some on a few hours ago and can still smell it strongly so performance seems to be great.

LiliiiS

I bought a bottle of Fancy five years ago and I remember that it was a love at first sniff but then it was neglected because I was a perfume junkie and there was always another new perfume that grabbed my attention. I'm not a perfume junkie anymore,at least I try not to be one. now I try to enjoy the ones I already have so I remembered long forgotten Fancy and sprayed it in a cold winter day at home. since then, I'm almost always wearing this and I find it difficult to use another perfume because I crave Fancy all the time. this delicioualy sweet, warm beauty is addictive for sure.
among the perfumes voted as similars, I have Viva la Juicy Gold, Cacharel Amor Amor in a Flash and Viktor&Rolf Bonbon. I agree that all three have similarities with Fancy but they're also somehow different and if I had to keep just one among the four of them, I guess I'd keep Fancy. I'm 32 and I believe Fancy is the most grownup one among them.
I can detect apricot and pear as fruity notes here, fortunately no red berries and there's definitely this lovely white floral heart but neither fruits nor flowers, not even the almond note, don't overpower and make the scent all about themselves because they're well rounded by smooth and deliciously sweet base notes of caramel, powdery vanilla and amber. it also has a nice nutty vibe but not a really strong almond note.
Fancy is truely a floral-fruity-gourmand. a beautiful, well blended one. it usually has a sharpness in the opening.feeling a bit screechy as if the apricot and gardenia are not brhaving and they might seem overpowering when first sprayed but give it just a few minutes and it settles down to something well blended and harmonious without any screechy notes.the drydown is warm, sensual and very yummy and can easily compete with much more expensive designer perfumes, even some niche ones in floral fruity gourmand genre. it stays at least six hours on me and has a nice, moderate sillage. for me this is a fall, winter perfume because I crave more floral, less gourmand ones in spring and summer. if caramelized floral fruitys are you're thing, this one is ageless beauty and I highly recommend you to give it a try and give it some time.

AnaIli35

This is one my go-tos; period. The best of the celebrity and Jessica Simpson scents, in my opinion. One of my favorite fruity floral gourmands that I’ll always have in my collection. Versatile, sweet, warm feminine perfection! I wear it day or night; I think it especially shines in fall and winter but can be worn in the heat with a light application. Want fruit, white florals, caramel and vanilla? It’s all here. Such an easy reach when I don’t know what to wear. Longevity and projection rival or are superior to a number of designer and niche frags in this scent profile. Beautiful, a great value and signature worthy . 10/10

mben086

First day wearing was disappointing, weak, generic, no depth, hint of caramel only.

Then 3 days later its turned richer, deeper more caramely! This baby needs to macerate! Its now in frequent rotation in my large collection. I prefer this over many niche expensive perfumes. Mass appealling but with a sophisticated depth, delicious and feminine.

yeesa_

Sweet caramel, its a very nice perfume for the price. I just never reach for it anymore as the scent is very linear and nothing extraordinary. I feel like its a great youthful perfume, now that I have more in my collection I have other sweet perfumes I reach for more

smelly_cat_94

Well, this perfume is just beautiful… it is sexy, feminine and fancy, just like the name suggests. I don’t know how else to describe it. It’s just a pretty girl scent. It’s still one of my favorite scents (if not THE favorite) ❤️❤️❤️😊 I can smell the vanilla and the caramel, also some flowers. Everything is blended in such a nice way. I just love this perfume so much! It’s really long lasting as well! 😉 and I’m a huge Jessica Simpson fan, as well. 😊

powederedoranges

Imagine you and your friend are making a snack, putting spreads on biscuits. She's got a jar of something caramel next to you, and you've stuck your nose in a jar of apricot jam. That's what this is like. Definitely an apricot jam, with a caramel, biscuity background. It slightly reminds me of one of the Fantasy flankers (I think Midnight fantasy) which smells like plum jam. I am learning that when perfume is described as "jammy" it's not my.... jam. This is more bearable to me than MF, I think because the base is nicer to my nose. I have learnt I prefer my fruits to be juicy and aquatic, and my gourmands to be vanilla-y and nutty and creamy and spicy. Anyway this is fairly nice, but not a love. It also faded fairly quick, which is sad because I like the dry down a lot more than the opening.

Dee97

I don’t get any of the caramel or vanilla notes.. this honestly smells like air freshener to me. I tried to like it but I’ve had it a couple of months now and I still can’t get into it. Will probably sell my bottle.

Catmo

This is a very light and basic scent. It’s not bad but I definitely don’t need it. I only really get a little fruit with some vague sweetness. I’m not sure id necessarily say it’s caramel. So many people talk about this one that I really thought it would be better and more pronounced. Bummer.

PerfumeAdore♥️

I do not get a delicious caramel scent that others smell. This is a slightly caramel gardenia instead. When I first sprayed this, I thought I had gotten a bad bottle. Surly this could not be what everyone was raving about. Alas, it was. Everyone smells perfume differently. I can only tolerate this perfume in small doses, two sprays. I have heard that others have had the same issue and grown to love this, so I will keep it in hopes for this to turn to a love.

Jaimielee123

Before I really got into perfumes and became a frag head this was my signature scent for years and years. And it’s still my top 5! It’s so sexy, sweet, cozy and decent lasting power!

ThatGothBBW

I don't know what it is, but I'm just not crazy about this fragrance. I've tried,to retry this Fragrance many times now. It's definitely sweet, but not as sweet as something like pink sugar by Aqualina, warm vanilla sugar by BBW or bare vanilla by VS. But it's definitely gourmand/fruity. I definitely get the pear, apricot, berries, Carmel, almond, etc. But I just don't see this as anything special. Maybe it needs to grow on me? I don't know, it's not disgusting or bad by any means. But on me, it just isn't very good. I just think some of the notes pull really weird on my skin, sour and synthetic. Don't let my review put you off, I can see why this fragrance is so loved. To edit, this Fragrance may have been reformulated. If you find the juice with dark liquid, that will probably be the older batches, I remember that being more sweet and Carmel heavy. while the clearish juice could be a newer formulation. (That's the version I have)

ssamhita

I've had quite the journey with this fragrance. It was love at first sniff and I happily sprayed some on my arm, and then as I kept sniffing my arm I started feeling the dreaded nausea that I usually associate with the apricot note. I set it aside, but I love myself a challenge when it comes to perfumes, and so I tried it again another day. Nope, I couldn't wrap my head around the apricot and the floral notes along with the caramel. Just the imagery made me wanna gag. And then, one afternoon, determined to make up my mind about it, I sprayed some on myself. That's when the magic happened. I started falling in love, slowly but surely. For what it's worth, I don't think it is at all like Viva La Juicy Gold Couture. Gold Couture is all buttery caramel to me, whereas here it is truly like apricot jam with a side of caramel. I can see how some people compare BBW Dahlia and Fancy, but while they share a similar accord, Dahlia has more depth I think, whereas Fancy is more effervescent.

A few days later, sitting in a cab, wearing Coco Noir layered with Idole (so far far away from anything remotely gourmand) I suddenly found myself craving for a very specific smell , and it took me some time to realise that it was Fancy. Sitting here today having doused myself in Fancy, I am finally admitting that there is something almost addictive about this scent. I want to go spray some more on myself even if I can still smell it on me! I am so glad I gave this the chances I did.

For a celebrity scent this is excellent without a doubt. I’m a collector and I have to say this is pretty good, if you like fruity gourmand scents. This fragrance must be oversprayed to get the full effect, it’s fruity but not in the usual fruity way, it’s also floral in a beautiful smooth soft way. I feel this can be worn by someone young or mature. For the mature wearer I prefer it in the summer months, when you can be carefree and easy. For the teen it’s ok all year long. Don’t get me wrong this is not your teenager scent at all, it’s quite different than your Juicy Couture scents, I own a few of JC fragrances so I know. Just a wonderful surprise of a fragrance can stand with the niche world! Highly recommended 10/10

jadebratz

I love gourmand scents but I have to say this one is just.. meh. for the price, it’s not absolutely horrible. I just don’t think this screams young, sweet, cupcake. upon first spray, I was getting like a middle aged cool aunt lol. I can’t say I ever reach for this fragrance, but can’t be bothered to return it because how affordable it was. I definitely think if you’re older and want a slightly sweet mature scent this is for you. If you’re wanting a teeny/20s gourmand, sweet, caramel-y overload, this definitely isn’t it. I believe it’s the peach and pear notes, they just kinda remind me of bath and body works or something lol. if you’re looking for something young and sweet, I suggest fantasy by britney over this. sorry jessica lol. points for how long lasting this is though, comparable to some of my more expensive perfumes. sillage is okay. 4/10

intoxicatinggourmand

It smells like warm apricot jam. Based on the notes and some of the reviews I was expecting a heavy cloying gourmand scent but I actually found myself liking this one a lot. I bought it about a week ago and I have worn it almost every day since then. It is a perfect scent that can be worn no matter the context. It is sweet and feminine, yet it has this fresh quality to it. I've never been this surprised when it comes to perfume before. This may or may not be my new signature.

Sassy1

I really tried to like this one as it's touted as an inexpensive gem but all I get is an alchohol blast then nasty burnt sugar and cheap plastic fruit.

I'm a little sad....

b.a.denney

I recently repurchased this after being without it for several years. It may be the only perfume I’ve finished a bottle of, which says a lot, especially considering I have way too many perfumes. I sprayed this today and am again reminded how amazing this is to me. It’s not listed but I smell a slight lemon zest among all these gourmand notes. If I had to pare down to say 20 perfumes, this one would stay in my collection. I love it and it wears a decent amount of time on me, no small feat.

bellabae

I decluttered this due to having bad memories associated with this smell. However I find myself missing it so I think I’m going to repurchase. Don’t let the price fool you, it’s one of the strongest and long lasting perfumes I’ve ever tried. I don’t get any fruity or floral , just pure boozy vanilla and caramel.

Mr. Bakery

It's a nice perfume, very sweet caramel with some nice florals. I blind bought since I'm a gourmand lover, I will say it's not my favorite and I don't plan on buying another bottle. I'm going to agree with another comment and say that this does give early 2000s vibe and maybe that's what's I'm not loving about it. But it's lovely nonetheless, not a bad fragrance by any means especially for the price!

eneqvist

I prefer Fancy Love, but also love Fancy. I use it whenever I am feeling playful, because it smells like a dessert served with a glass of liqueur to boot! In fact, a neighbor asked if I was baking cookies when wearing this, lol. To me it is very boozy, especially in the beginning, like I spilled gin or Cointreau on myself. As it settles, it becomes more of a bourbon scent to warm up all that caramel and vanilla. Perfect for the upcoming holidays, but works well anytime you want a delicious gourmet with great staying power to brighten up your day!

AutumnJewel

The hype is real . Returned this . Not horrible by any means but wow is this over hyped . I love Jessica Simpson btw

Londonfrog

This fragrance is a compliment magnet. I’m not in love with the initial top notes, but the dry down is an amazing vanilla almond. I regularly get asked what perfume I’m wearing when I wear this and people are surprised that it’s a celebrity fragrance.

Bingbongbingbong

Smells deliciously yummy. First it gives me yakurt vibes. Sweet fruity yogurty scent that reminds me of my childhood. And it changes to a subtly sweet jasmine which gives it a soft feminine touch.

jorgeyellowbobby

Jessica Simpson's Fancy is my signature scent. Ever since I bought the body mist, I instantly fell in love with this fragrance, so I also bought the Eau de Parfum and the bottles are so Fancy. I smell the sweet berries and caramel, I don't get any of the florals mentioned? I don't seem to get any of Gardenia nor Jasmine? Could be the powdery note I get here and there. I do get some of the almond on the dry down and gives the scent a very unique profile. This perfume is very gourmand and it smells like a caramel treat. I love this fragrance so much. I've used it during the spring and summer but during the winter, it seems to project more. I definitely reccomend this fragrance. Great Job Alexis Dadier for this wonderful fragrance. Honestly, fragrance is not a one size fits all, whether you're male, female, trans, non-binary, etc, mix and match fragrances to your liking and Jessica Simpson's Fancy is a beautifully blended and delicious fragrance for all ages and genders.

mhubbard1961

This is Christmas in a bottle. Feel free to wear daily for the next month. Caramel and then some. Really nice celeb scent and lasts fairly well. Best for evening or at home wear.

Tessbes

I feel like this perfume is a strange one. I don't get the caramel at all, pure florals and amber

The older it gets, the more floral. It's not bad so I use it up but it's not sweet or warm enough for me so I wont repurchase

KindnessPunk☮️

A sweet yet refined gourmand; white flowers and caramel stand out to me the most. When I can’t decide what to wear, this is my go-to, it’s one of my top ten favorite celebrity scents. If you like Eternity for women and Viva La Juicy, you’ll like this. Definitely a safe blind buy if you’re fond of feminine (but non-soapy) scents. It lasts moderately well-three to five hours for me, and the projection is subtle, but not weak like other affordable scents. The dry down is soft, almost a honey and pie vibe. Great for fall and winter, but I wear it all year round. I’m on my second bottle this year. 10/10.

sravz

Like most of Jessica Simpson perfumes this is also One of a kind. Sometimes it gets a little too sweet but it is worth a try.

panyadoll

This was such a pleasant surprise for me. I blind bought this for very cheap at Nordstrom Rack. Admittedly, I am wary of celebrity perfumes. This is just lovely, though. Performance is surprisingly good- especially for a cheapie. While at first I labeled this as a pretty but basic floral-y sweet teen fragrance, it grew on me more and more. This settles into a delicious apricot jam cookie on my skin. I even smell a sort of powdered sugar. The apricot makes it an unusual gourmand and the dry down doesn’t smell too juvenile or cheap to me. Love.

Katelynl88

I’m not sure what all the hype is over this perfume ? It smells very basic , smells animatic? That sort of barnyard/ lily type smell . Not a huge fan . Idk I smell rose, it’s sweet but not terribly sweet , it’s very floral , I don’t why any type of gourmand vibe with this . I expected something extremely different than this , it’s ok but nothing special at all . It smells like soooooo many other perfumes . I don’t pick up on the caramel , this morning when I sprayed it almost reminded me of pink sugar but now this afternoon I sprayed again and get nothing close , this smells a lot like the perfume sample they send me called “ exceptional”? Or “ simply belle” I get heavy powder notes from this one .

SheRays

I understand why people rave about this but I Don't Love this- the caramel is almost too sweet for me. Although, the floral fruity notes makes is more tolerable. Overall I think it's a well designed fragrance. Great for sweet caramel note lovers !

typeonegative333

this is honestly my favorite inexpensive fragrance, not your average run-of-the-mill fruity caramel & vanilla scent. it has depth, the apricot is very present and almond keeps it from going into cloying territory. moderately powdery vanilla with a bit of amber and sandalwood. this is one of the few fragrances that deserves its cult following, every girl needs this in her collection.

kittywhiskers

This is very sweet and heavy on the caramel. I don't like to be too negative but this is just a big no for me. In the beginning I was unsure, but I think I've finally made my mind up. This would better suit a high schooler, or maybe certain people could pull it off if they had the right chemistry. But on me, it kinda just sits there... awkwardly. Just seeing the bottle gives me a stomach ache lol

Joani_Cheddar

A fantastic sweet melted caramel scent. Caramel is a note that i dont fancy BUT i truly enjoy this innocent perfume. This is simple, this is a smooth floral caramel, this is energetic, and this is cheap. Is this good? Definetly. can u find better fragrances? of course. Any season, any time, any occassion- blind buy worthy. Rated Twix-like, A side

AllisonNW

I did not think I would like this so I bought a mini spray. The apricot is nice and fresh and keeps the fragrance from becoming a toothache. It keeps the caramel at a good level and I find this to be a pleasant crowdpleaser for when you just want to smell generally nice and uncomplicated.

unicorn1

I got this as a blind buy after reading the reviews and I also love sweet fragrances. This one does not disappoint, it is a sweet, sugary caramel goodness that seems to have great lasting power. I have gotten compliments on this one.

pure_placeboeffect

It smells bubbly, juvenile and fun. It's also extremely versatile. The bottle could be better, but the quality of the fragrance outweighs its cheap look.

DWCMUA

To me, this scent is a fairly average scent. If you want a delicious gourmand, there are so many others that either have more oomph or are more unique. I recommend Viva La Juicy EDP by Juicy Couture, Kayali Vanilla, Vanilla Bourbon by MixBar, Ristretto Intense Cafe by Montale, Cheirosa 71 body spray by Sol De Janeiro, etc etc. The biggest reason why I do not recommend this scent personally, is because it contains coconut byproduct which can be super irritating to sensitive skin. I know for me, the scent makes my skin itch like crazy, that I only tested it on clothes after realizing. Yes it is inexpensive but there are other options which are better for the price.

Dannielle

I used to dislike this fragrance, but I think it was because someone I knew wore this as their signature and over sprayed ! It would make me nauseous around them. I only ever smelled strong floral notes from this. I recently tested the body mist and now I can definitely make out all of the gourmand base notes. So today I decided to pull the trigger and purchase a one ounce edp. Unfortunately upon first blast I was hit with rose ! Now I remember those dizzying florals .... luckily as it dries down it gets more rosey vanilla . The edp and mist seem very different! Two spray max this is very strong ! Dang it I was really wanting the delicious caramel and almond notes . Maybe it has been reformulated my batch code reads 6 months old !
Edit : I am back to say that I now really love this scent! I think it performs better in cool weather, im getting less floral and more syrupy carmelized pear now that it's under 80 degrees outside!

Mtht

One of my first loves. Sweet, powdery, feminine, and easy to wear. I get lots of caramel, with some almond, vanilla, jasmine, and pear. My bottle has been neglected since my collection has become so large. I finally pulled it out tonight, and it's definitely still a love for me. Fancy will always have a place in my collection.

bintTapputi

Unremarkable, sweet powder. 5/10

miss_aly

Just bought a 1oz bottle from TJMaxx to give this one a try and to see what all the hype was about. At first sniff, I was like “WHERE have I smelled this????” And then it hit me! Viva La Juicy Gold! Which I already own. Overall Fancy is nice and probably one of the better celeb fragrances out there. If you’ve smelled Viva La Juicy Gold, they have the same dry downs. But is it special? Not really. So for me it’ll just be a cheapie that I wear when I don’t want to waste my nicer frags.

Allegoria

Perfumer Alexis Dadier really did Jessica Simpson proud. He created a lovely wear-anywhere-anytime caramel/vanilla fragrance with outstanding silage and longevity.

I was testing the similar, Dolce’s The Only One on one arm - Fancy on the other. Fancy was still fragrant for at least 4 hours more.

I find Caramel to be the star here. First hiding behind the fruity opening — then serenading the florals & almond — and finally reaching a long delicious dry down combined with vanilla.

All in all, a very good purchase for the minimal cost of around $30.00!

jreyes366

This fragrance really takes me back to my college days. I wore this a lot in my late teens and early twenties. It was about 10 years in that I didn't find this scent pleasing anymore, my taste had changed! Now in my early thirties, I sense the appeal again. It's very feminine, sweet, floral, and powdery. It's a fragrance you can throw on for any occasion. It lasts a good while and it gets me compliments all the time.

Suzabelle6

I can't believe how much I have fallen in love with this scent...it's sweet without inducing a headache, it's vanilla and floral and nutty...and the dry down is soft and sensual.
Its perfect for work or going out...it's cozy and sexy. If you've been wondering for way too long as to whether to pull the trigger on this one- DO. It's a feel good fragrance.

sravz

Very easy and manageable perfume. Jessica perfumes are just delicious. Caramel and pear are dominant. Simple girly scent

xxgetaway

For me, this is a good alternative and a layering option for Girl of Now and Girl of Now Shine by Elie Saab. Not identical, but good enough and very pleasant. As a stand alone fragrance - also beautiful, light, and not too sweet (for someone like me who's into some serious sugar).

Fatima1219

I could wear this every day! I love this--so feminine and pretty! You haven't lived until you've worn this to the beach!
This will always remain in my vast collection of fragrances.

haleykbhenry

This is exactly what I would imagine a Goddess would smell like ✨ It’s such a beautiful well blended and CREAMY Carmel scent paired with sweet fruits and HEAVENLY white florals to give this gourmand well rounded BEAUTIFUL dimension. Now that’s it’s getting into the colder fall weather I’m reaching for gourmand fragrances and my goodness is this LOVELY!!!

This one literally melts in your skin and becomes so yummy and intoxicating. Smells expensive, I had to do a double take because I was shocked that I was able to pick up a bottle for $14.99! I’m very late to the bandwagon but to put it lightly, I’m obsessed. *crying face* Lasts around 4-6 hours with 4 sprays and moderate projection. I hope others enjoy it but even if you try it and you’re not a fan, it’s so easy to gift to any lady :)

Chinello23

This is... nice. I certainly don't understand the cult following and borderline obsession this one seems to have but, it's pretty. I wouldn't say it's generic, because it isn't - but there's something familiar and comforting about it. It smells very early 2000's as well.

I mostly get powdery florals and sweet berries - the tiniest hint of caramel peeking through. There is also a slightly tropical shampoo-y vibe in the beginning but that dies away. I like it.

Update: My review was based off a sample, and I've gone ahead and bought a full bottle. It's seriously a comforting scent - the kind of perfume you can throw on every day and know anyone (including yourself) who gets a whiff of it will be pleased. It'll be an enjoyable, easy reach.

Final update: I'm leaving the original review for transparency but I've fallen in love with this LOL. It opens and pulls very apricot heavy on my skin and I can't stop spraying this one it's addicting. I absolutely understand the obsession now, I just had to warm up to it.

carneliansky

First perfume purchase since I heard good things about it and the notes seem pretty basic and inoffensive. I love the dry down but I don't see the caramel at all. The vanilla and almond create a caramel-esque scent but to me it's just a fruity vanilla. Overall I still enjoy it and it's worth the price.

Texasperumefan

Smells like Pink Sugar's older, more sophisticated sister. Really pretty, but it makes my head hurt. May be too cloying for some. Very cozy, sweet scent.

marialena888m

Fancy has been in my collection since winter of 2011 and my most recent bottle was acquired late last year. I don’t really notice that it has been reformulated, though I remember 10 years ago I could never pull off this scent in warmer weather, it would give me headaches when I did because it was just so ‘syrupy’ thick. I think the current formulation has been diluted in strength, though it still smells exactly the same (to my nose atleast). It still has very good sillage and longevity, so I am not complaining, I still love it, perhaps even more so. Infact, I’m happy now that I don’t have to wait for the weather to get cold to wear it, it used to be too cloying to wear any other time than winter. I highly recommend the body mist too, it smells just as delicious, and I love it even more than the perfume because I live in a desert climate and it’s light enough for the hottest days. The body lotion is also fantastic. Does it smell identical to VLJ Gold? I own both (I am a fan of the VLJ line), and no they don’t, though they are ‘sister scents’ for sure. VLJ is a tart-fruity-caramel, VLJ Gold is a deeper, ambery version of VLJ (like OG VLJ mixed with Fancy), and Fancy is less fruity/tart and more powdery-sweet in the dry down, it also lasts longer. I love both, but I seem to get more compliments when I wear Fancy (perhaps it’s because Fancy is longer lasting so people are more likely to smell it?). In terms of their personalities, I’d say VLJ Gold is ‘playful-flirtatious-cheeky’ with a girl’s night out vibe, happy hour, or that first-date-excitement feeling…and Fancy comes off as more ‘sweet-charming-innocent’, like a cozy night indoors, or a rainy day spent in a quaint patisserie with a best friend or a lover, enjoying a crème brûlée and some light-hearted conversation while watching the drizzle through the window. Overall, fantastic caramel perfume, my favorite celebrity scent. If I ever had to downsize my collection, I’m keeping this one, it’s in my top 10.

coffeebean83

Gorgeous delicious celebrity scent. I've had my bottle for quite a few years so it's one of the older batches before it was reformulated. The juice is a rich dark amber color and pretty much smells how it looks. Resin-like heavy deep amber with a subtle caramel undertone. This scent has been a true compliment getter. Not sure if this review will be of any use since the new versions are on the lighter side as I understand it. But putting it out there anyway for those that might pick up the older bottles somewhere. Would buy again if I found one. Slightly curious about the new version but we'll see.... Overall great longevity and sillage.

Goblincat

I’ve been on a kick of trying older and cult celebrity fragrances lately. A lot of the time they’re disappointing (eg Britney Spears Fantasy. I love Brit and I know a lot of ppl love this but to me it’s super basic). Fancy was a surprise though; it smells more high end than it is and lasts a lot longer than other celeb perfumes I’ve tried. It’s warm and sweet but not cloying, and I really like the dry down. It’s a great cozy scent for fall/winter.

fragrancebaddie99

I blind-bought this fragrance for $20 because of the positive hype online, but I can't get myself to enjoy it. There is this super artificial note in the opening that I just can't get over when you first spray this. It smells like a strong, rose syrup note. To me, this is a more mature scent, which is not really my vibe. I don't know if I got a bad batch, but I will be giving it away!

cunt.dracula

Definitely on the fruity side. The caramel was a bit subtle which disappointed me. I'd only say blind buy if you're ok with it being mostly fruity. Get a sample if you can

KatelynMLovesPerfume

This has been my signature scent for 10 years. And I'm still not tired of it. Everyone that smells this fragrance that knows me says it reminds them of me. This is a gourmand with a slight floral tinge, mostly I smell the caramel, almond, vanilla, gardenia, and the jasmine. I honestly do not smell the top notes in this fragrance oddly enough. It is not a fruity fragrance. And this lasts ages and stays on clothes. You absolutely cannot go wrong with this if you love gourmands for THAT price. And it's honestly unique! I will forever LOVE fancy!

LSAUG

I had left a negative review of this awhile back. I bought a mini of this, tested it and hated it. It smelled off. Then my sister came to visit and smelled really nice. I asked her what she was wearing, and she said Fancy by JS. I was shocked. She got out her purse spray put a little on my hand and it smelled just the same as it did on her. Sweet, caramelized pear ground into a floral almond perfume base. I must have gotten a bad mini bottle. It was leaking when I sprayed it a bit so maybe some air got in and ruined the perfume. I just added this to my collection. It is gourmand and I usually don't go for those, but I do like Fancy. It is an everyday type of scent. Girly, fun and casual. Sweet and innocent. Comforting. The gift sets are wonderful. $35 and you get a full size a purse spray lotion and shower gel. Makes a great gift as well. So glad my sister was wearing Fancy and I got a chance to revisit it. It is a fun perfume and a nice cheapie.

amg7613

Comforting, sweet, gooey goodness! It’s a caramel glazed peach pie just pulled from the oven with a hint of almond. It’s luscious and an easy grab. Gourmand in every sense of the word. This does not disappoint! I remember when Jessica Simpson had those edible body lotions, and this came out in that era. I think my nose pulls out the gourmand first, I’m reading another review with getting the magnolia (and now a few minutes into dry down I can smell it, though it’s definitely not magnolia forward like the other fragrance I just bought).

Are there fancier, pricier options out there? Yes! Are they always needed? No!

candieskulls

Getting mostly caramel/sandalwood from this while the subtle sweetness of the fruits gives it a nice lift. There's kind of a fruit pie quality to it, yet it's not intensely gourmand to my nose; it's actually quite soft (maybe that's the florals). I personally can't detect any of the almond. This feels like something I'd reach for around the holidays a lot for sure. I quite like it!

Edit 9/21: There's something slightly synthetic (with the apricot note, I think) that I'm still not entirely sure if I'm wild about, kind of in a similar vein to Britney Spears' Fantasy (another one I'm not totally in love with). Nothing bad enough to make me completely dislike it, but just not a favorite.

nateya

I can barely smell anything. The opening smells like alcohol and after a few minutes I only smell vanilla. And it doesn’t last long at all. Idk if it’s cus of how hot it is outside but imma come back and try this when it gets cool. I hope this isn’t a flop.

Okay so I wore this on a cooler day and there’s a huge difference in the smell. The opening is caramel and floral, oddly it works and the caramel isn’t too sweet. After a couple hours, it turns a little more sweet but it’s definitely not gourmand. The dry down smells like powdery makeup with just a touch of sweetness. This is a very light scent and even though it smells good I wouldn’t repurchase because I have body sprays that are stronger than this. This does not smell like Viva La Juicy Gold Couture at all to me. Perhaps if you took away the JC dna and watered it down 75% then maybe it would smell similar. But the dry down reminds me of Si!

avril_gnb

I'll give it a 6/10 for now, might come with an edit later. (8.5/10 after edit!!)

I just tried it and I'm surprised. It's a bit soapier than I expected! It's definitely a clean kind of pear vanilla, shampoo-y and lotion-y in a good way. It's not really my cup of tea but definitely a good scent. It doesn't get very gourmand on me, still very fruity and sweet especially in the opening. Im not head over heels for it but i like it, it's a safe-ish blind buy :>

EDIT: the longevity is amazing for the price! I wasn't expecting to get whiffs of it 2 days later. The drydown is the sweetest vanilla sandalwood I've ever smelled! I don't get so much caramel but i definitely get warm sugar, reminds me of bare vanilla's drydown a bit. It's a great fragrance overall! Not exactly love at first spray but after trying more it's getting addictive! I don't know if I'll rebuy as its not my fave yet, i definitely recommend it to anyone who likes vanilla gourmands and fruits :>

EDIT 2: It lasts longer than any expensive perfume I own! I'm surprised

likesleet

this threw me off guard bc i actually really liked it. so sweet like whoa kind of caramel but not gross light & creamy. thee celeb gourmand. is unique

diorspears

Really suprised with how much I like this perfume. I usually don’t like anything with a caramel note but I love this so much. So yummy and edible, i sprayed around 8:30 am and it lasted all the way till 3 pm. Reminds me a little bit of Britney Spears Fantasy even though they are very different, just both very sweet and cozy

Caslml

As someone who tends to pull the florals out of most perfumes, this takes a long time for it to smell gourmand on me. The gardenia in this is very strong and lasts a good while. The apricot sticks around for the first hour or so but I really wish I liked gardenia. The only time this smells amazing is after 8 hours of wear when its the base notes and caramel left. I really wanted to love this with all these reviews but if I had known that the gardenia was so strong I wouldn't have blind bought it. Thankfully its inexpensive.

Edit:
I know we aren't supposed to rub our perfumes when applied but doing that really helped break up the floral in this. Layering it with a gourmand lotion and rubbing it works beautifully, then Layering with a mist is 🤌🏻💋

evelin.fosher

I love this perfume, it last alright but not the longest longevity..
On my skin this is a very sweet, powdery scent. To me it smells like baby powder with a caramel hint. Beautiful perfume 😍

Robynwosv

I am looking for a vanilla woods similar fragrance. Does this smell like candied pear and vanilla with caramel? Cause that’s the vibe I’m looking for. Thankuu

Laynie_Scents

This reminds me a lot of Le Belle by JPG. It’s a rich caramel vanilla and pear. It’s pretty damn strong for a cheapie!

Gawdlovesugly

Blind buy. I like it, but I’m not head over heels. It’s great for the price. I don’t think it smells like Viva La Juicy or Viva La Juicy Gold Couture. I prefer those fragrances over this. I also prefer Sol De Janeiro over this. This is still a nice fragrance though. The first spray was very powdery, which initially turned me off…but it dried down very sweet and mostly vanilla. Not bad. Maybe I’ll like it more in the colder months.

CandyButterfly

I am anosmic to the gourmand notes here, apart from the tart fruits. The sandalwood, jasmine and tart fruit accord I'm left with is screechy at best. It reminds me of mosquito repellent. I'm bummed. I really wanted to enjoy this as the affordable caramel gourmand most others enjoy.

Kitcaliguluhhh

Picked up a little 30 ml bottle at TJ Maxx as a blind buy. For reference, I adore Viva La Juicy Gold Couture, (no relation to Jeremy Fragrance lol). Fancy is great if you love Gold Couture, it’s a very safe blind buy since there’s decent similarity with the “fruit and caramel”. It doesn’t last very long on skin, maybe an hour or two before it fades, but on clothes you can kinda keep that initial opening going- apricot-berry and then on skin it dries down to a somewhat “lotion powdery” caramelly gardenia on my skin. I somewhat associate playdoh with the way it smells at the 1-2 hr mark, but like caramelly playdoh. It’s lovely, it’s just one you might want to douse yourself with including your clothes so you can smell it for longer.

chicagogirl

I still love this one! It's probably my fav celebrity perfume of all time, even more than Cloud. A cozy cuddly absolutely DELICIOUS caramel with almonds and pear. I still remember when this came out (It was 2008, I was in HS and a very nice saleslady gave me a sample as I passed the perfume counter). Instantly fell in love. It's absolutely the perfect fall scent. I have an older bottle so I reeeeally hope this wasn't reformulated.

Dramaloladiva

Fancy is a much tamer version of La Belle to my nose. Of course, not everyone will agree with me and that’s completely okay.
I think that the pear note, the vanilla, and amber are what remind me of La Belle?
Fancy has a tinge of hair products shampoo-like aspect to it but not in a negative way. La Belle is a perfume with a sucker punch quality that never-ever quits. I prefer the quiet quality of Fancy. It projects but nothing nuclear, thank goodness.
It’s sweet without being gross, fruity without the rotten quality that some perfumes can have. I like it. It’s very nice and just perfect for an everyday no brainer scent.

cccam1lle

Literally get non stop compliments when I wear this to school.

cosyangelic

Okay here's the thing, this perfume bottle is so beautiful, probably my favourite looking perfume bottle in my collection. It also has GREAT sillage, one that I wish some of my favourite perfumes have.

But to me? It just smells like a vanilla scented air freshner, sprayed in a bathroom.... after you've gone number twos.

And for that reason, it makes me feel ill :(

Not sure what to do with the 100ml bottle I have.

VJP

This perfume is very nice. I received many compliments. My body chemistry loves Pear, vanilla, caramel , sweet fruity-type scents. I was asked what I was wearing and told that it was really nice . It is not too overpowering or sweet and dry down is amazing. The price point for Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton perfumes is awesome. I'm very happy with this purchase.

This is really sweet! I definitely get a lot of caramel out of this one. You definitely have to be in the mood for something super sweet to wear this one. I love this, but just don't think I could handle this all the time.

I see why this is similar to gold couture to a lot of people, but I wouldn't say this one is a dupe. This is more straight up sweet than gold couture- which gold couture to me has a bit more complexity and warmth than Fancy. To me these are noticeably different fragrances.

Sweetcherrysun

A bit more "mature" than the other gourmand perfumes in my collection, I don't wear it often but it's nice.

It’s alright for me but I wouldn’t wear it. Idk why but it smells very y2k and a bit cheap to me but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It just reminds me of the early 2000’s, low-rise jeans, juicy couture etc which I do like about it. It’s a sharp, sweet floral. I think it’s the pear and fruity notes that make it a bit too sour to me, I would’ve preferred less sour more caramel sweetness.

Rehderja

Very sweet. Almost cotton candy like with a floral note to it. Very feminine.

This opens very sweet and fruity but the dry down is incredible and I can still smell it on my skin more than 12 hours later. I bought a small bottle of this but I will definitely be getting a bigger bottle when I finish this one!

Edit 1: Wearing this again today.... the dry down....chef's kiss!! The caramel adds a slight burnt sugar to this and the almond and amber add warmth and creaminess. Yes, I need to be in the mood for sweet when I wear this, but when I'm in that mood, this hits the spot.

I feared that it would be similar to bonbon but this stuff is so addicting. Sometimes I catch whiffs of myself during the day and can't imagine how good I smell. Its super warm here and I agree with someone saying it smells like caramel and vanilla.

I just saw that the perfumer behind this perfume also made Womanity. Such versatility in perfumes coming from this nose! Amazing!!

Wow, wow, wow! I'm really surprised at this lovely scent. I didn't put much stock into it as it's a cheapie celeb scent, but wow!

It first reminded me so much of Viva la Juicy that I was bummed because I already have that scent. But Fancy is so different in the initial fruity, sparkling notes. The dry down is very similar to VLJ or one of its flankers but I feel like Fancy is more complex. The scent seems to evolve and change on the skin, going from bright and fruity to sweet and caramelized, then back again with sparkling fruit.

The longevity is really good. I sprayed a bit of Cheirosa 62 on top and I was in heaven. So good.

I blind bought this about two years ago when I was very new to fragrances. I always thought I was into fresh citrusy, fruity even, type of scents like the ones from brands like bath and body or body fantasies from back when I was in high school, but it was this one that transported me to the gourmand side. Oh, Fancy was my first ever love at first sniff.

I remember my first day wearing it, I was in the kitchen putting things away. My son walked by me and stopped to ask if I had subway cookies. I asked him why, and he said he smelled cookies. We didn’t have one cookie in the house that day.
This fragrance lasts pretty long, too! I usually smell that sweet caramel/vanilla all the time, but I believe when the weather gets cooler, the florals are stronger. I thought the juice altered, but when it started getting all hot again, it was back to caramel/vanilla.

I’ve been seeing a few people talk about how it was reformulated and how it used to be a lot richer and sweeter, which kinda surprised me because it’s one of my sweetest ones. But I was able to get a bottle that was made in 2008 and the people were right! I barely get fruit, the caramel isn’t light, the almond is richer somehow. It really is a syrupy sweet vanilla & caramel with the richness of the almond. It also projects a lot better with even just one spray, I usually spray about 4-5 times with my other bottles to get the projection this one spray has.
I have two other bottles, one from 2019 and the other is a recent purchase that was manufactured in 2022, they smell the same except the newer is tad bit lighter, I’m thinking let that one sit for a few months and it’ll be smelling exactly like the 2019 one.
Now maybe I could get the same scent with these other two if I let them sit for a few years but I don’t have that kind of patience. Especially since the old bottle is almost 14 years old, no thank you lol. Either way it’s still one of my favorites, reformulated or not, it’s a favorite of mine.
Another thing, I tested the perfume again now in the summer, I only ever wore them in the cold weather, but it does become sweeter in the summer but it’s not cloying on me like I thought it would. So now I will be wearing this all year round, newer bottles that is. I can already tell the older bottle I have will be WAY TOO SWEET.

No thank you!

I found a deal on this and grabbed it just because I'm on a vanilla kick and it seemed to pop up on a lot of lists. So much regret.

People use the word "synthetic" in various ways when they discuss perfume - like, for example, when describing Molecule 01. This is synthetic in the sense that it smells like a computer designed an interpretation of a vanilla perfume. It smells like a cupcake scented kids toy. Save your money and get Bon Bon, or even Fantasy, or Warm Vanilla Sugar. This ain't it.

I bought because of the reviews saying it's like JC Gold Couture, it's not. That doesn't mean it's bad, but this is like juicy powdery more jammy cousin. Jc is definitely not as long lasting but I prefer it over this. I haven't seen anyone else making the comparison but something about this reminds me of Carolina Herreras very good girl, I think there's vetiver in this perfume that is not listed. This has a dry jammy apricot and caramel smell that reminds me of the similar jammy rose smell in CH VGG I wouldn't call it juicy sweet caramel, like I said it's a dry smell. This is nice, but I'm a little disappointed it's not more like Gold Couture, this is definitely a winter fall perfume. This is very feminine smelling, but I wouldn't call it gourmand I would say it smells too powdery/dry to be gourmand. I'd call it more powdery vanilla fruity floral. It's nice I'd give it a 6/10 not my favorite but nice.

After wearing it a little more I'd say it's good to wear In the summer too. Better for fall but still good. It's actually nice now that I've gotten over the initial disappointment of it not being a closer juicy dupe. I move my 6/10 to a 7.5/10

Update: I'm rethinking this after several months. I already love it but it just gets better and better the longer I have it. After sitting in my med cabinet for about 8 months, this is aging nicely (as happened with a few others I bought around the same time). The caramel is more pronounced but not in a bad way. It's not stronger but it's more "up there" and it lingers longer. This is now an almost total (and lovely blend) of caramel & sweet apricot. I almost hate saying it but at 61, my body is liking these cheaper scents more than the pricey splurges I loved when my skin was younger.

Body chemistry is complicated. From 20 - 40, I could wear almost anything and it smelled great and lasted forever. At 60, I struggle to find even halfway lovely & lasting fragrances. I bought Fancy in the same week that I got The Only One from D&G and I thought that Only One was going to be my absolute favorite. Nope. Fancy is everything I thought that I would get from T.O.O. Shocking.

For me, Fancy goes on already half-developed. I don't get the subtlety of the top notes segueing into the middle and so forth. I get Apricot, Caramel, and Berries right off the bat. After just a few minutes, the caramel comes up more and I get hints of Almond, Amber, and Vanilla. Giving this a full hour, I get all slightly sweet Caramel/Vanilla with some Amber and a little tiny bit of Sandalwood and Gardenia. Just beautiful.

I wanted this when I saw so many reviews comparing it to my beloved (but pricier) Juicy Gold. That's a great comparison. This is in that family of scents - not a sibling but more like a 1st cousin. Frankly, I might even like this better than Juicy Gold, and that is really saying something.

I plan to buy more Fancy just in case they decide to tinker with the formula. I love this scent. Longevity is better than most for me but not "eternal". I spritzed a cotton ball and tucked it into my bra after dabbing my scalp with it. If someone had predicted that Fancy would become my new "signature" at this age... I am not of the Jessica/Britney generation but those baby gals have it going on with their perfumes.

Eveningrose

This is a unique scent in my collection! It’s fruity and sweet . The performance is really good to me and I can smell it on myself all day. This layered with Dylan blue is pretty nice combo!

FCrisp

By the notes, I should have at least liked it a little. Can't stand it. It's an obnoxious, synthetic, sweetener scent you just can't escape on me. It's probably just my chemistry because it smells nice on paper. Gave it away. Aunt says she likes it.

AllyMage

Very sweet and basic. It doesn't have that weird annoying smell a lot of cheaper perfumes have so thats a bonus. Not a bad perfume but I'm really more interested in unique kind of odd ball perfumes. So there's definitely nothing wrong with this. Just not for me.

Flowers bloom here

Just tried fancy for the first time ! The opening smells alot like fantasy minus the dark fruity notes.. it doesn't pack the punch or have the sillage that fantasy does but it's a nice soft daytime scent and I love the bottle.. Of all my celebrity scents I get the most compliments when I wear fantasy by Brittany spears so I'll be reperchasing that one :)
Update: I find myself reaching for Fancy when I'm craving a clean sweet non flora/fruity fragrance. The scent and bottle are becoming a favorite in my collection!

Myru

This perfume has been a curse to me! I just can’t like it at all! It smells so artificial!

I don’t get the hype around this perfume at all! It doesn’t smell sweet and inviting and like a gorgeous edible gourmand it’s been hyped as! It smells really artificial and chemically and screechy! I just can’t bring myself to like this at all!

It doesn’t smell nice on my skin or on clothes and I just can’t break away from the chemical smell!

I’m a gourmand lover and boy was I disappointed!
