This is like Johnson's baby lotion but more gentle, sweeter and vanillary. This is a little powdery and a little floral. It's quite close to skin and not the longest lasting fragrance. I enjoyed my 40ml bottle but I wouldn't repurchase even if this wasn't discontinued. I get that this can make people think of nappies, I guess the baby lotion association is strong for some people. As someone who has never had children, it's not strong for me.

I was initially drawn toward the rice note... I have long since sold my bottle of this. I wish I would have given it another chance, but I was immediately hit with an over powdered diaper type smell.

Soapyscent

I love this one for fall. It's pretty much vanilla, rice and powder. It's so so nice, but I wish it would be more strong, it's really soft in my opinion. It lasts a pretty long time on my skin and it's so easy to wear.

This is a sweet, powdery skin scent that is going to be good for occasions when you don't want to overwhelm someone with sensitivities to fragrance. Generally, if someone could smell you, they would be most inclined to believe that you've just showered - in the best possible way. I would say that this is like smelling the skin of someone that has showered with finely milled, high end spa soap. And, you're getting the traces of any fragrance from the soap left on their skin. It is warm, and cuddlesome, but it reminds me of a finely milled oatmeal or almond soap. I like it, but it's not going to be one that makes a strong impact on others. However, if you're one that wears fragrance to bed, or if you're just wanting to wear something while you snuggle blankets and watch a fireplace, this is the scent for you.

An underrated gem. This is sweet and powdery, never cloying, and always present. I do not detect obvious creamy vanilla or rice notes. However, what I do detect is warm, comforting, and very minimal. To me, this is a second skin scent done much more artfully than so many pretentious, overpriced fragrances on the market today that are entirely molecule based. I can't imagine anyone not liking this. Quite a safe blind buy for lovers of warm, powdery scents.

On a slightly more critical note, I am really not a fan of the bottle. For a fragrance that is so minimal yet intriguing, the bottle should have been designed to reflect that.

aguschinita

I had high expectations, especially when I opened the box and saw the liquid was cloudy, a rose powdery liquid!
After trying on my skin, all my high expectations crashed with the fact this is very, very similar to Emporio Armani Lei and Omnia Crystalline. this is sweet, why so many reviewers said there is no sweetness in this fragrance? I disagree completely.
I also cannot find any similitude with Valentina Valentino. I wish!

This is a lovely, delicate, milky-powdery, vanilla-rice scent. It smells like clean body and relax to me. If you love powdery scents, I believe you won't regret if you buy this. For those who also own the powdery "holy grail" Teint de Neige - when I first smelled Simply Poudrée, I didn´t really think it was sweet. Only after wearing soapy TdN, only then I realized that Simply Poudrée is actually quite sweet. Anyway, both are great perfumes that have their individual stable place in my collection. :) Simply Poudrée is more of a daily scent.

Kellergirl

I blind bought this. I regret it. I don't get vanilla or powder from this. Just sour flowers.

Egaines23

This is so lovely. I can’t stop smelling it. It’s warm, clean and slightly powdery. It smells like baby oil to me with a touch of sweetness. It’s not sugary sweet or cloying, just a perfect dash of sweetness. I feel so comforted while wearing this and I feel like you could wear it any season and any time. It smells “innocent” but also has a sensual edge to it. On me, it is close to skin and doesn’t project much. But if you don’t mind that and enjoy clean, safe scents..you have to try this one!

perfumesniffer

so this was a blind buy because I generally love a powdery rice note. I'm glad it was inexpensive because it's just a Weak Nothing. it's lightly powdery, but it is in no way a replacement for Love, Chloe. Possibly I'm anosmic because it's just this barely there unsweet generic powdery thing. It's so nondescript, I'm not even sure what else to write. If I'm in the mood for a powdery-almondy scent I'll wear Guerlain L'Instant Magic. If I'm in the mood for full heliotrope heaven I'll wear LT Piver Heliotrope Blanc. If I'm in the mood for sweet vanillic almonds I'll wear Profumum Dolce Aqua. If I want a fully present rice note I'll wear Etat Libre Fils de Deau. I guess I've got my bases covered and shouldn't have blind bought this! I was looking for a Love, Chloe replacement but this ain't it. At least it's boring and not actually awful. I guess I can spray my sheets.

EDIT: It just occurred to me what this reminds me of - L'Artisan Bois Farine. Slightly powdery flour. I had Bois Farine and finished a bottle a long time ago because it was quite comforting but similar to this the longevity was nonexistent so the main reason I finished it was because I had to spray myself 14 times just to smell it for 2 hours.

I got this perfume as a blind buy based on the notes and reviews and I am perfectly happy with my purchase! Soft, creamy vanilla, not sugary at all; beautifully delicate rice powder, a hint of mysterious heliotrope. I can do with a lot of musk, but here it is extremely subtle anyways so it shouldn't bother those who are averse to it. I think this would have fit perfectly into the Softly line - it has the same sophistication and gentle quality. Longevity is not bad either, on clothes and hair it can last a couple of days, on skin - moderate. It puts me in a good mood every time, at the same time I find it rather elegant as well.

applejack78

This was a blind buy based on the notes. I've been doing it a lot lately due to not being able to find samples online. I wasn't disappointed from initial spray to drydown. This is feminine loveliness all the way through. I really enjoy the vanilla powdery scent in a cloud of soft flowers. Great for daytime and I think it's perfect as a quick spritz before bedtime.

Joani_Cheddar

Vanilla powder, extremely similar to Kenzo Amour. You must like powder perfumes to enjoy this perfume - there is no in between. I believe the solar note is what differentiates this perfume from all the other kids in the class. In a nut shell this is vanilla powder of the finest johnson & johnson. I do fancy this perfume but I mainly wear it to bed.

Ferra_Verto

Milky, powdery, and earthy vanilla; it's comforting and cuddly with a tangible sophisticated polish. The vanilla, rice, cashmere, and tonka are the most dominant notes. Still not sure wherein the solar notes come, there's nothing solar/solar-like about this scent. At all. I like it very much, there's an intimacy to this scent that is well-executed, very classic Jil Sander.

KathieA

To me, this smells like a cross between Kenzo Amour and Guerlain L’instant Magic. It’s a very smooth, comforting scent. I love it at bedtime and can still smell it on my bed clothes in the morning. Overall, it’s a good “cheapie”.

ivadim

Много сладък, много. Но в сравнение с интенз е по-кремообразен. Ще ги пробвам и двата в студено време, защото явно там ще им е красотата

Patricia888

Nice bottle and the juice inside is milky. Surprised nobody has yet mentioned this smells a lot like Katy Perry Indi.

Jaxie23

I just got this based on reviews. Blind bought for the chloe love comp. yes the opening does slightly resemble but it’s a totally different scent. Overall I was happy. It’s a powdery scent and I love powder so it was a good fit for me

Flacon-de-Bonheur

Blind bought this and received my bottle yesterday. I am so disappointed. On me this smells exactly like Lalique Satine. Will give it away.

fillifelle

The rice powder note here reminds me very much of Kenzo Amour. And like Kenzo Amour, Simply Poudree has a rather modest projection. I blind bought this based off voted similarities with Valentina Poudre and Love Chloe. You know what they say about shooting for the moon and landing among stars instead? A very successful blind buy even if I don’t love it as much as the Valentina. The powder in here is vivid, and most importantly non-baby-powderish. Vanilla and a ton of musk give this a clean, feminine vibe. I picture pink pastel Pez candies when I smell this. Not sugary though. Just the visual associations. A solid budget LOVE!

genny17

I don’t know what it is with the Jil Sander perfumes but they fall short of being super good and end up smelling flat or too powdery
This one is no exception , it snells of toiletries and it is nice in a way but not super feminine or warm or sensuous in the least bit .
It is very hygienic in a way
Not for me

zind

Very Nice! Nothing complicated about this fragrance, which is exactly what you need sometimes.

The positive:
The rice note is gorgeous and very present if that's what you're looking for. Heliotrope tends to make a lot of scents smell dated to me, but they balanced it perfectly in Simply Poudre. It's not overly sweet and definitely not cloying, which I think is pretty impressive for this type of note pyramid. I also bet this would be great for layering.

The negative:
I find the opening a bit unplesant and it smells a little bit synthetic and cheap (but not overly so). The main let down is the performance. Low sillage isn't always a negative, but when that is the case I at least want to smell it on myself - something I struggle with after the first hour. I may have to experiment with the application, but it does unfortunately lack in the performance departement.

Ameliadrevein

I own love Chloe and this very different scents to jil poudre.love Chloe is for summer spring and jil poudre is all year round i dont like sweet scents luckily jil poudre is like rice pudding without sickly sugar sweet.stay long lasting on my skin wear at night before bed and still can smell on my skin the next morning silage is moderate for 1 hour then turn to skin scent . I’m into powdery notes and this one smell different from my other powdery scents glad I own it

Edit 9/20

There a 90% dupe to this is mancera indian dream .indian dream much more floral and rounded to my nose .jil poudre drydown is rice notes dominate indian dream is heliotrope

angelica1931

I bought this perfume after seeing Maria Meloiria review it on her youtube channel. I was not disappointed. This is my favorite fragrance to wear while lounging at home, which I have done a lot of lately :) It smells exactly like Johnson's baby lotion when you first spray it on. Which is a lovely thing if your babies are teenagers like mine. The dry down is rice powder with a little more sweetness to it though (heliotrope I suppose). It doesn't last long on my skin, but I can faintly smell it on my clothes or pajamas the next day though. It's a perfect fragrance to put on right out of the shower. This is one I will buy again for sure.

Perfumedsecrets

The tester comes with a cap (if that's the only bottle you can find online and were wondering). Simply Poudree is a soft pink powder that's as if you were spraying liquid powder. In the 90's there were more of those, but they're not as easily found now. Comforting after a bath.

UnearthlyApothecary

I love makeup scents: wether it’s powder or lipstick I just can’t get enough. Do I need another one? Probably not but it’s JIL SANDER. I am such a fan of Jil scents and especially the simply line. I had to have it. This one reminds me quite a bit of Lalique Satine and Alaia Blanche. I would say though this is less sweet then those. The silage is pretty soft and while I always want MORE especially when it’s this yummy, I worry more about longevity. Poudree is such a soft fluffy pink powder puff. I don’t really get the solar vibe but I for sure get the rice and it reminds me of Kenzo Amour. Vanilla and heliotrope are very noticeable as well. The musk and cashmere are there but neither overwhelms. This one is spectacular and very affordable right now ;)

Anamandy

Wow, this is the best $20 bucks I've spent in a long time. Love this powder in a bottle. Even the contents of the bottle is milky, like liquid powder. Soft, comforting, slightly sweet from the Tonka. The heliotrope is lovely with a barely there hint of sometimes cherries and sometimes almonds, as is the same with the vanilla - just a hint. I'm not getting the freesia and citrus at all here as there is zero sharpness to this scent. Just a smooth powdery effect. Silage is light but you are always aware that you are surrounded by a soft powdery cloud. I've had it on since this morning and I can still smell it, so longevity is great too. Love this!

Update - I applied more because I wanted to keep this lovely scent going. I'm now picking up the citrus and freesia, but they are so light and right at the very beginning that you really have to sniff your wrist to smell it. Ahhhhhhh…. this powder perfume is wonderful!!!

giakerr

Simply Poudree is right up my alley as a powder lover. I was in search of a rice- based scent and found this listing rice in addition to many of my favorite notes- powder, heliotrope, tonka & vanilla... and oh my, I love it. It definitely shares characteristics with Valentina Poudre, Kenzo Amour and Love Chloé, but is on the lighter side in comparison (which would probably be my only complaint as I love powerful projection, but can’t expect much from a powder- based fragrance).

I also really love the bottle and the juice- it’s a milky pastel pink liquid which really fits the whole vibe of the scent. It accomplishes the ‘bare skin’ feel for sure.

Safe blind buy if you like powdery scents, especially for the more than reasonable price!

imoore

Johnson and Johnson baby lotion (pink).
Smells like iris, and the flower here is not even listed.

SailorV

Like the name suggests this is a powdery fragrance that feels like a warm hug or a cashmere scarf (without being a cashmeran bomb). It has a lovely sweet vanilla rice pudding note, but it doesn‘t go full-on gourmand thanks to the musk and florals. The heliotrope gets a little cherry-like and the freesia is very subtle.
I get similar vibes as in Kenzo Amour, and they share a couple clearly detectable notes, too: Rice, vanilla, musk and heliotrope. But this is not a dupe. Amour is more vanillic and fluffy, Simple Eau Poudrée is a little more spicy thanks to the tonka bean and the typical Jil Sander DNA in the background. Amour is a big favorite of mine, so I don‘t love Eau Poudrée quite as much, even though it‘s still really nice.
It doesn‘t have anything in common with the other Simply fragrances, this shouldn‘t be a flanker but a new scent. It‘s even closer to Jil or the Sun line than to Simply‘s Fahrenheit vibes.
This is an inoffensive and feminine scent with character, not too boring, a good easy reach for daytime wear in the colder months. The performance is more on the average side, but not bad.

raiza1990

The opening is a bit too dry for me, but later it gets really nice. I get a very comfy and a bit masculine musk, with a bit of sweetness. It projects well and lasts long ( i can still smell it even after a shower).
It is not the best powdery perfume out there, but it is good and the price is ok. If you like musky fragrances, i think you will like this one.

COSMICSCENTS

I love Jil Sander perfumes and powdery perfumes so this is going to the top of my I want list.
