Rose was so prominant and cloying had to declutter , if u r not into rose scents do not get this

ozlemmenguloglu

is it discontinued? I can t find it nowhere. it is different from the OG lancome la vie est belle.

Caramelkisses

This is beautiful! I grew bored with the fragrances in my collection and wanted to try something different from it. Raspberry is one of my favorite notes and my chemistry loves it as well. It smells like candy on my skin. This is my most complimented here lately. This last a good 8-12. Now I want the OG.

eau de dosa

This was one of my favorites however, it’s way too sweet and causing headaches for me. Selling largest size on Mercari, name is BusyEmerald.

pakhomovao

Why do they create so many perfumes that are not possible to find some months after their release? It makes me quite uncomfortable. I've just tried the sample of this perfume, loved it, thought "Finally I found LVB that suits me!". And then discovered that it was discontinued. So sad. I think I should start using only reliable perfumes that stay with us for years. I hate to fall in love with discontinued perfumes. I hate LVB even more now:)

Sophia97

Every time I apply this scent, I simply cannot stop smelling myself. It's gorgeous! It has a strong, peppery undertone that lingers and is quite flowery in nature. I also love the bottle. Definetly worth buying!

nisarsarah9

I liked it more than the original and absolutely enjoyed wearing it every time. Got so disappointed when I heard it has been discontinued as I wanted to buy another bottle but couldn't find it anywhere anymore. In the hopes of finding the dupe, I explored DUA fragrances who unexpectedly have a dupe of this fragrance known as 'Hey Beautiful' on their website so I immediately got my hands on it at a much lower rate.

Safe to say, it has the same kinda scent and I'm pleased. Finally my hard work of finding an inspired version of this turned out fruitful and even though Lancome has discontinued it, I can still enjoy DUA's version of it. So whoever does not want to give up on this scent after its discontinuation MUST check out DUA version.

KylieBooFace

Not sure how this is sitting with me. The pink pepper settles down, and the fruit is a bit tart, but the sweetness is not overwhelming. This has a bit more patchouli than I wanted, but let's see how this dries down it's only been 10 minutes or so. I think I wanted something fluffier and more gourmand-sweet, but we will see. Edit: It is a nice scent, but I think I'm personally getting more patchouli than I imagined. Not for me. I think it's my nose, because I think I got tired of overly patchouli scents recently.

Hifza

Oh, the fruity floral is my favorite combination. I love this rosy raspberry scent with a citrusy essence. It’s a bright, cheerful, and exciting fragrance with Spring vibes. This one refreshes myself and boosts my confidence in a crowd. But the only thing which is now becoming unbearable for me is the middle and base notes which are way too sweet, and I find them even sweeter after 3-4 hours of wearing this. I am unable to let go of this one and finding it hard to replace as I am pretty use to of this one now. It would be a great if a new formulation of a less sweet version of this is available in the market!!!

PeachUK

Had to buy a back up bottle of this as it’s now discontinued. I love all the LVEB fragrances but this one is now my favourite. It garners compliments and smells divine. Sorry to hear it’s now discontinued

Koningin

I got a toothache from this. As if the OG wasn’t sweet enough this flanker basically said “hold my beer”.
Too sweet for my liking. It came over as extremely synthetic. I hear it’s discontinued now. I won’t be missing it.

AnlisaC

This has always been on my list, even thou I don’t like the OG. I finally broke down and bought it. It’s a summertime fragrance. It does have a fruitiness to it, which is pleasant, not your teen fruity fragrance. I just recently found out this is being discontinued which is a shame but certainly not unusual Highly recommended 10/10 get before it’s gone! Watch out prices are going to skyrocket very soon! 😣

karinevandal

Just finished my OG btl while testing & comparing the Oui flanker from time to time. I was not totally sure which one I did preferred. They both are similar and different at the same time. Although I find the OG a bit cloying sometimes, I’m not sure I would be totally satisfied with only one of them.

Oui is more on the fresher/tart side, suitable for spring and early summer. With the raspberry note & less patchouli. Well blended. But it still sweet, very sweet. You get the sweetness from the raspberries instead of the vanilla & praline notes of the original. Both are VERY powdery.

On the dry down, we are left with the beautiful rose. It’s very feminine. A very «pink» fragrance.

I honestly think it’s worth having both for people with a large collection. But if I had a very minimal & curated collection, I’d only pick the Oui flanker.

Adjr1087

This is exactly what I wanted the original La Vie Est Belle to be! This is a less powdery version of the OG, emphasizing more on the sweetness than the powder, and toned down on the patchouli. Good thing that the Ylang is not even noticeable because I usually hate that note... you can feel the sweet Rasperries, the Iris and the rose. Such a beautiful blend of notes. Would choose this flanker 100 times over the original.

cacemonster

Oh this is sweet! Its a blind buy as I was so curious and it was the last one i found and no tester so... yea, at least it was on sale :) but I do really like it. I do like the original as well, although I have never caved in and bought it, as its only a like. I read the notes here, and figured it would be worth a shot, and well it is. Its very nice and likeable scent but it wont be a favourite. Its quite strong, and its a scent i must be in a certain mood to wear. I dont think its office appropriate, as its so strong and sweet. At least spray carefully. I really do miss the praline/vanilla vibe as the original have, this is a bit sharper, although I get an old lipstick scent of the original, this is more towards raspberry rose. Its pleasant trail scent, but i dont like to sniff close to my arm. Its sharp and actually a bit too sweet, and that come from me as a person who could wear liquid sugar lol. All in all a nice blind buy, but wouldnt bought it if I tested it first. I would not call it safe blind even if you love the original.

Maria19

I went to a familiar store, one bottle left at half price. I didn't even try it, I bought it. The original LVEB was not my thing, although the scent is not bad, I just wanted more sweetness and softness. Et Oui, je l'ai trouvé maintenant. This is a softer version with sweetness. The fragrance notes are in harmony and that's why I like this a lot. A wonderful update to the original scent.

Gionnijulius1820

So i have the original Lancome Belle, but once that runs out I'll no longer be purchasing it & I'll now be buying Lancome belle Oui! It's such a beautiful scent! VERY feminine, soft, long lasting, berries, candy, rose, pepper scent. Masterpiece. I highly suggest & will be purchasing this for myself for new years(; lol. It reminds me of a beautiful summer day, walking down the town, at beach, and you can smell the flowers in the wind, and as your walking past your local pastry shop(cakes, fruits, etc) Fun, girly, sweet, summer fragrance & I can't wait to have it.

*loves_shoes*

My MIL just came in the room wearing this. It’s filled the entire (large) room.
Even sweeter than LVEB, if you can imagine that, in a slightly tart way (must be the raspberry). But definitely 100% recognisable as a LVEB, I spotted it immediately.
Getting a bit sickly now though. Wear and spray with caution. It will be noticed.

turkishgirl

99% like la vie est belle but that 1% is a hint of stronger sweetness

The original is already very sweet but if you want even more sweetness go for this. Very strong also and last a very long time

LanaDelSlay

the problem for me with this perfume is that the sweet notes smells like a sour candy and the sourness puts me off because it's almost headache inducing or a bit nauseating. sucks because the longevity is very very strong, lasts a long time on you with a few sprays

LanaDelSlay

Red fruits, with sweet candy, so cute, so yummy, and yet it's soft, like a cute cloud of sweetness travelling to your skin. I would even think this would be appropriate for teens to young adults.

loveleen

Very sweet but more balanced than the original in my opinion. A lovely raspberry note helps this flanker smell fresher and less heavy than LVEB original. Lasts a very long time.

Mariyamokshina

very sugary and heavy sweetness, i thought it would be brighter and less heavy and less powdery. this flanker is a little too suffocating. the original is way more balanced

Jasmindee

A fresh, slightly peppery floral with a sweet raspberry undertone.

I didn't expect to like this one, as I typically only wear vanilla-based scents, however, Oui surprised me. The sweet notes and the warmth from the Iris make this a very classy, feminine perfume which suits many occasions. The original LVEB is my mother's signature, while I really enjoy E'clat, however, I think this one is different enough to enjoy on its own merit.

The raspberry in this isn't sharp, but rather soft and really well blended. Sometimes I find raspberry perfumes to be quite stuffy, but this is mellow. Gentle. There is nothing overpowering and the notes really sing well together. Overall this is a very pretty addition. Reminds me of sparkling floral champagne with raspberries at the bottom.

I'm not rushing to buy this. I would however be secretly quite pleased to receive this as a gift.

cloudswirl

I enjoy this one more than the original, it has an added fruity note that I enjoy. Unfortunately, all of the LVEB line has been too overwhelming for me and making me nauseous, and this scent isn't different in that aspect.

The sweetness + the dry down along with the eternal lasting power of these perfumes are too much. But I think if you like the original, you'd definitely like the added fruity note. It makes it a more approachable and dare I say youthful fragrance. If you're wondering if it's less intense as the original, definitely not.

Rozalina

The rich, warm gourmand notes of LVEB are slightly turned down and replaced with a very prominent note of raspberry (same raspberry found in other Lancôme fragrances). The sadly discontinued Intense flanker of LVEB is my favorite of the range, but Oui is an addictive, feminine scent.

wallflower

I cannot agree more with the review who mentioned a popcorn note - when I tested it, I kept thinking that the dry down is really reminiscent of Miss Dior Cherie. I would say this perfume smells like the love child of the La vie est belle L'eclat and Miss Dior Cherie and I love it for this reason. I will need a FB of this asap!

smccmurphy

So similar to the original I find it unnecessary to own both. Very sweet and veryyyy strong to the point of being cloying. I don’t pickup any notes other than synthetic sweetness. If worn, would be best in the fall or winter.

Nurses04.

I’m really enjoying this perfume - it’s sweeter than the original Le vie eat belle, with an Iris note that smooths off some of the patchouli. Although it is a sweet scent I find it fresh and not cloying - it leaves an incredible scent trail. I detect the Iris note the whole way through the wear, although it’s more pronounced with the initial spray . The longevity is amazing - 7 hours plus on my skin - projection is good for the first few hours. (This is a great fragrance for hair as it wafts in the breeze!) “ Oui LVEB” is perfect for UK Autumnal weather.

ozlemmenguloglu

very long lasting

Tessa03

This is a fresh version of the original. It’s less gourmand and feels less “heavy” than the OG. I get a lot less patchouli with this one. This would be a really nice option for spring and early summer. Very feminine. As usual- excellent longevity and sillage from Lancome.

Emma x

An intense perfume, very floral dashed with a peppery undertone that sticks around. I feel this is a more sophisticated fragrance, the lasting power is very good as well.

Cookietookie215

I like the original but I LOVE this version. This smells like LVEB but way more sweeter and addicting. I kept smelling my forearm because it was just that good. It’s way more intense than the original in every way. It’s just the right amount of fruitiness, with florals and lots of sweet gourmand accords in the base. Spun sugar, crème brûlée, caramel, vanilla, caramelized popcorn, it what the base is giving. It’s like a rasberry pie with a buttery crust and sweet scream on top. Highly recommend this one!

Heidi2021

Lovely flanker! Love this perfume. It's very versitale and the notes are blended very well. Imo It's fun yet sophisticated, longlasting and love the bottle.

raiza1990

To me, it smells almost identical to the original. It smells lovely but it’s an unnecessary flanker, in my opinion.

likesleet

i get all the notes listed except raspberry which is sad bc thats one of my favs. heavy on bergamot /pepper & patchouli which ads a fresh cutting citrus to the underlying sweetness.

jeissi

A gourmand which is stomach turning to me. Cheap candy synthetic notes that lock my throat, not even the bergamot and patchouli could make it more "breathable".

Scentedalterego

Like the OG without the praline, with added citrus and rose. I find it more pleasant than the OG, it’s fresher, but it’s definitely not unique and has a synthetic note I don’t enjoy. Wouldn’t mind smelling someone’s sillage of this though.

madonnatella

this is hardly an underwhelming perfume as I had in the shop a nearly empty tester flacon and I could still squeeze some DROPS out of it and this massive delicious perfume came into my nose, my being.... as I am fanatically rosecentered it appeared to be a rose, along with the fruits and already ylang-ylang. I never waste time to decise, I bought a full flacon. it was late in the afternoon I had it in my home and on my wrists and this morning I easily smelled a far away scent of orchards, subtropical gardens. now from the 'La Vie est Belle saga' I have two flankers which both are to die for. LVEB edp Intensement, and how this flanker which fully is called: Oui La Vie est Belle edp d'exception. they are both as different as can be but equally delightful. but then I am a person for such roomclearing perfumes. this perfume, LVEB in general, has two sisters in Vivienne Westwoods Boudoir and V&R Flowerbomb. both flankers are so different you can easily speak of two different perfumes. the overpowering florality is what strikes me most. then also of course the sweetness which I find in neither of the two sickening. a fabulous perfume in its own right !

Controlledbyscent31

So underwhelming, they need to stop all these flankers tbh...
This is just a toned down, flatter version of the original.

electric_evelyn

A toned down La Vie Est Belle.

Nothing spectacular, just the same sweet concoction which you can use during warmer months. The thing is, you’re probably going to be the only one to smell it.
Nobody noticed it on me, while with the original I always got compliments. But perhaps that is the point, having a feel-good sweet perfume.
I honestly still prefer the thick, sweet syrup in the original.

faevert42

Oddly, for someone who doesn't like the OG at all, I quite enjoy this one. I get no patchouli and a very nice fruity opening. The middle and base notes are dominated by iris, which I love, still with lots of sweetness, but it is never overwhelming. What a beautiful sillage this one has! Not bottle worthy for me, but I enjoyed the sample.

Driscent

I got my Oui La Vie Est Belle today 😍 I bought it on sale for a good price. Decided to order after testing at the store, it has a beast mode really, super longevity and sillage. Very gourmand, the scent of a sweet raspberry pie dipped in honey with Iris and a touch of patchouli. It is a strong fragrance perfect for those cold spring and summer evenings and can be worn during the day and evening in the autumn and winter. It can be extremely cloying to be worn in hot sunny days.

carmenandmonkey

A familiar scent, it smells like bath beads. Those quarter sized shapes filled with fragrant oil and you’d drop them in your bath.

IsSheNotFragrant

Oui LaVie Est Belle?

Non si'l vous plait.

LSAUG

I do not know why I keep sampling this line, thank heaven I have been able to sample for free at ULTA or Sephora. This is the same chemical mess as the original but less appealing, which is hard to believe. The iris tries to pop up from the syrupy goop she is drowning under but can't. It is like the poor flower is covered in a thick, syrupy Kool aid. 10 different packets of all manner of synthetic fruity flavored powder have been dumped on this poor lonely iris and is suffocating her to death. I love sweet fragrances and I own quite a few but a sweet fragrance only works if it smells natural, it can't smell like artificial candies. It's like comparing deserts. If I want something sweet, am I going to choose a nice piece of well-made cake or a bag of skittles? For myself I would choose the well-made cake not the bag of skittles. If you like skittles and the smell of them this is the perfume for you. It smells like a bag of skittles that was made into a perfume.

Smellofweather

My two cents: it is delicious, because of the fruitiness. If you don‘t like the OG, you also might not loke this flanker. When the day is not so perfect as yesterday or I need something to comfort me a little bit, I like to take this one.. (-:

tony5596

I couldn't wait to rave about this amazing fragrance I picked up from Sephora. This is my first Lancôme fragrance. I've never been really interested in the La Vie Est Belle line simply because it's too similar to Flowerbomb, which was a scent I was very familiar with and had several dupes of. The sparkling bottle had caught my eye, and the rest is history.

Now, when I first smelled this in store, I immediately picked up a sweet and fruity Iris. Being a fan of Iris, I sniffed the tester strip probably 50 more times lol. On my skin, it opens the same with the sweet & fruity Iris. That fruity accord I get is the Raspberry making its presence known. I've always known Raspberry to be a bit sharp and sometimes dry in some fragrances, but the sweet notes used in this composition really helped with making the Raspberry more sweet and enjoyable. Now this isn't a gourmand sweet, but more of a sweet floral scent. The Rose is detectable, but remains in the background with the patchouli as supporting notes of the prominent notes. The Pinkpepper adds a mild spice to this composition, but not too much to where this scent couldn't enjoyed in warm weather.

In the dry down, I'm left with a calm Patchouli base, topped with Iris & Raspberry. This lasted on my skin a good 6 hours and about 10 hours on my clothes, with an impressive sillage in the first 2 hours of wear. Now, y'all know I could've found this a reduced price online, but for $102, I have 0 complaints. This is definitely another Iris favorite of mine.

Scent: 10/10
Packaging: 8/10
Performance: 7.5/10

lydlid

Ugh this would be so nice if that iris wasn’t so strong!! Granted, it’s one of my most hated notes, but when it’s subtle I tend to be more okay with it. This is just overpowering. The opening is really nice though, like a raspberry lemonade. It’s just weird because once you get the iris it’s like raspberry lemonade, baby powder, and lipstick. Not my cup of tea, but I can see people liking this!

aspirina

I was given a sample of this scent. It opens with a very juicy raspberry and another "tropical"? fruit note, that seems kind of artificial, like from a fizzy drink. Then you get a very sharp, pepper and patchouli note, maybe some ambroxan too...
It is... sharp, piercing, irritating, and the overdose of artificial sweetness can trigger a gag reflex followed by a migraine.
I know this scent will have the masses of women buying it like crazy. I just can't understand the appeal of smelling like this...sorry not sorry...
I guess this horrid scent will stay around forever. Time to go wash my wrist...eww!

Edit: this is almost unwashable. Beware...

star~kitty

After avoiding the regular LVEB free sample offer, I got one for Oui and was excited to try it.

🤷🏼♀️

I don’t like it. It opens sharp, I guess it’s a sharp floral that irritates my nose. I like a creamy white floral, but this is not that. *Maybe* it’s the pepper. Maybe it’s the patchouli (but I love Angel and Angel Muse). I don’t know. Whatever it is, it’s annoying for at least the first hour in an old-ladyish way and then the vanilla and sweetness kind of take over and it’s just a bland, inoffensive scent.

Maybe I’m comparing this to Kuumba Made Vanilla Bean which I just rediscovered last night and, without exaggeration, may be the best vanilla I’ve ever smelled.

girldeadbug

I think the note pyramid is deceptive, as is the “main accords” bars at the top beside the bottle photo. Don’t blind buy, it just doesn’t smell how you think it would if you look at the order of these charts. Unless this review sounds appealing to you. Note: This is just my skin, so you may experience different.

This is immediately leaning mature to me. There’s something that just saves it from being called so, but only barely. It’s like a modern take on a mature scent. Very powdery in a pink and purple way. The raspberry is powdery (more like dusty), as are the generalized “sweet notes”. It eventually dries down to mostly a white musk (fresh dryer sheets scent), powdery floral, and a touch of fruity sweetness. If the drydown were a color, it would be the most pastel pink you ever saw.

Despite it smelling like this, I can see myself having a travel size for the possible occasion. Not sure what occasion, but sometimes you crave scents that you don’t really like so you can understand them better. Or perhaps you see potential with layering them. Angel Nova sounds like a good one to layer on top of Oui. I would try it, but I’m testing Oui solo for now.

Eventually the raspberry fades away, so you’re left with just those “sweet notes” and clean, powdery florals. Does the patchouli come through? I would say no, but that’s just my skin in this moment. Glad Macy’s sent out a sample of this one, otherwise I would have blind bought it based on the main accords and note pyramid. Happy sniffing! 🧚♀️

AllisonNW

I’ve never smelled any of the other versions. I got a sample of this and, on me, it’s quite literally stomach turning. A patchouli bomb nestled into a bowl of super hard, expired Jujube candies. I just may wretch.

maziarzl

Ylang ylang is my favorite note but I don’t detect it with this at all. At first spray the rose is a bit overwhelming. For the price I expected something more gourmand. Longevity isn’t great.

Cocomimi77

Finally a La Vie est Belle for me!

I’ve always loved LVEB on others but on me it just smells…dirty. Not in an unpleasant way, but
not what I was hoping for since I was hoping the delicious vanilla would radiate from it.

THIS LVEB is a great 10th anniversary launch. It’s actually happy-smelling and so uplifting. I don’t normally love fruity fragrances but the pink pepper does a lot to keep the fruits more interesting and not juvenile. It’s grounded in a more sophisticated way than most fruity fragrances and on my skin, the top notes mingle with the dry down for hours.

I also love the bottle! It keeps the signature crystal smile of LVEB but the glitter is on point for how I think we all want to feel after the pandemic years of uncertainty and inwardness.

I would actually have loved this even as a blind buy. If you’re looking for a great new spring /summer fragrance, try it.

Ella7712

I have never cared for the original but this one smells really lovely❣It's more sparkling (the opening is fantastic!) and has a wonderful raspberry/iris/rose combo 😍, so well blended. The patchouli is barely noticeable, which is excellent as I don't like that note. So if you, like me, don't like the OG try this!

gnathaliegh

Opens up very similar to the original but the dry down is lighter and more delicate than the original. The rasberry is there but not super strong and I overall mainly get the powdery iris and sweet notes from this. Definitely worth testing, especially if the original is too heavy and sweet for you!

seannahuffman

I love all of the La vie est belle fragrances, and I immediately loved this one as soon as i smelled it in the store. I bought the 100ml. The Iris and Sweet notes is mostly what you get abd its gorgeous! I'm in love with this fragrance! The Patchouli is toned down so much its barely detectable, so if you like the original but don't care for the Patchouli, try this one!

ceeceelee

Very similar to original, without the wow factor that one had. I say wow factor bc at the time La Vie Est Belle was really big, really out there with her femininity, her sweetness, her powdery iris. her slight creamy fruitiness, her patchouli that reined that all in, giving her sweetness a counterpoint and a kick of spiciness. Kind of a perfect storm of a perfume for the time she was born. This one isn't really that much different. A little more diffuse, a slight bit more patch (which at first, along with the raspberry gave me La Nuit Tresor vibes, but only for a minute) but basically the same. If you are out of your LVEB and want to replace, this bottle is gorgeous and would stand in perfect for the OG. If you just love this line and want the bottle ~ you can't go wrong. I honestly like the second flanker LVEB L'Eau de Parfum Intense, the EdT version and the Rose version. Those I will keep, use and love. This one I'm sending back, but being a bottle junkie, I'm mourning it already. Just not enough to keep her.

stefani valini

This is very similar to the original. The dry down in this one is a little bit more fruity. You definitly dont need both, its almost the same.

Maleficent's cotton candy

This fragrance is sweet but otherwise a bit non-descript to me. It has an unidentifiable flower with confectioner’s sugar vibe. And maybe with those things sitting atop a piece of sandalwood. Not generic but not quite JPG’s La Belle-level gorgeousness for me.

One of the ways I like to shop for fragrance (sometimes) is to avoid giving attention to trends, packaging and notes. I spray various scents on cards and keep them with me while I shop around for other things. While I shop, I smell the cards intermittently to see how the fragrances develop and what I’m naturally drawn to by simply smelling it. I narrow the scents down to two, spray each wrist and eventually buy the winner.

This fragrance’s fanfare and price annoyed me in Ulta but it won the anonymous scent contest I play with myself. Consistently. And twelve hours later, it smells as though I JUST put this on.

Spencemonster

This is disgusting.
Stinky rough patchouli. Not a well blended or appealing patchouli either. I really was let down. I adore En Rose flanker but this. This is awful.

The Iris and the sweet balinese patchouli are just. Rough. Now. If that’s you’re thing, than you’ll love this. For me it’s awful. The bottle is also annoying the glitter starburst was so attractive till you go to touch it and it gets all over your hands. Very annoying.

Way too woody. Way too musky in the mature lady sense. Leans very mature, old fashioned musky like elder and not in a classy way. Shame. But hey. Not everyone is gonna love.

Zentocs

I bought the biggest flacon becouse this flanker is the best!!! I hate the original LVEB but in OUI is no more disturbing scrachy patchouli ang cloying sweetness- only feminin raspberry, iris (as a powdery note) and rose, sweets (but not so cloying). So This is much better than the original! Perfect all seasons scent!

wwrqa

I don't like the original perfume but this one... i can definitely smell the raspberry, like the raspberry's juice which you can add to water to make it swetter and give it raspberry's flavour.

Charlize

Oui, I love it, it's a brighter, more playful version of LVEB. In my opinion it's not that much similar to OG but you can definitely tell it's a family member. The iris is there, the lipsticky raspberry from the Intensément is also there. I smell a sweet citrus note and some honey (I know, not listed). Oui is sparkly, sweet, cheerful. Very good for spring for sure. Longlasting

NancyD76

I'm a big fan of the OG in winter time. However, sometimes the OG is too overwhelming because of the strong patchouli. This flanker Oui LVEB is the floral, fruity, light version of the OG but with a dry down of the same DNA. I think that if you think the OG is too strong on you, this one might suit you very well.

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of floral and fruity scents, and after blind buying it and spraying it for the first time I thought oh no, not fruity or floral... but this scent just rocks it! You really notice the raspberry and floral notes in the beginning, but very soon they settle down and then the LVEB DNA takes over, making it a very warm, sweet but not overwhelming scent. To me, this is the perfect spring flanker of the OG.

The only thing that could have been stronger for me personally, are the vanilla notes. But I solve this by layering this Oui with the Intensément. Love that combination! The Intensément gives it a bit more warmth.

This is a safe blind buy to my opinion, if you like the OG but think it's too strong. More than other flankers, this has the real LVEB DNA. I'm not fan of some of the flankers of LVEB. I do not like the Eclat, I do not like the Rose, and the Cristal Soleil I like but don't love....
I really love the OG + the Intensément + this one, the Oui!

It's beautiful - sweet fruity refreshing girly, different to the original which is more gourmand and woodsy.

I have tried my carded sample. The original gives me headache so I cant wear it but this one is very nice! The patchouli is toned down, it is lighter but still very long lasting, good for all year around. You really get the Sweet notes throughout the whole wear. It is very pleasant and girly. I think even the La Vie Est Belle haters might enjoy this flanker.

Found this at Ulta today! To my nose, it’s what I would call LVEB lite. The initial spray has some brightness from the raspberry and bergamot, but the dry down is exceedingly like the original LVEB, just… more wearable. Definitely springtime accessible, and I might say it would be fine in early summer. I’m so happy to have this, for days when the OG seems overwhelming. The iris, patchouli, and sweetness are still there, just turned down a notch. Give it a shot if LVEB seemed to tickle your fancy but felt too much.

Anyone who really wants this in the U.S. or Canada, it can be bought from a French site called news parfums. You can also buy the new La Nuit Tresor Intense there as well. It's the only place I've found that does shipping to U.S./Canada.

Grown up version of la vie est belle. Patchouli is very strong in this one, i would named it la vie est belle couture, because i find it classy and wearable for a night out. It's like the serious big sister of the original

I tried this today in John Lewis (UK), I like it! It’s not too different to the original, with that oh-so familiar DNA. Not cloying, but still has great lasting power. The Lancôme sales assistant told me that it had Jasmine snd Vanilla notes in it… looking at the notes listed here I think she must have got it confused with another flanker… Oh well. Not sure this is going to be one I’m desperate to own, but it’s a nice alternative if you’re in the market for a new LVEB.

I tried it a few days ago in a duty free shop and I believe its fresher than the original. Still sweet, but not sickening sweet, wearable in warm weather. Still feels like something is missing, but I believe that it will be a hit in sales, for the mainstream market.

Doesn't La Vie Est Belle turn 10 this year?
