Aqua Paradisi by Le Couvent Maison de Parfum is a Floral Fruity fragrance for women and men. Aqua Paradisi was launched in 2019. The nose behind this fragrance is Jean-Claude Ellena.

"Essence of Rose & Pelargonium. A tender Floral Fruity trail, evoking the picking in the Jardin des Roses Premières of the Minimes Convent.  Intense and strong concentration, based on natural botanical essences in the tradition of the Haute Franferie Française.

Aqua Paradisi, young, playful, this Rose flies on a zesty shade of pink bergamot in an infusion greedy and  graceful. In the background, the Violet accord gives a water bubble effect to evoke a resolutely contemporary Rose." - a note from the brand.

The notes on Fragrantica are wrong for this one, as they do not mention pelargonium.

This truly smells like pelargoniums, which to me smell kinda spicy. I'm getting a spicy pelargonium with bitter green stems and leaves. There's a faint violet. I don't get any rose or citrus at first, after about an hour the faint violet is replaced by a faint rose. Overall it’s most of all a true-to-nature pelargonium. It's neither soapy nor floral, and it's unisex.

If you like the scent of pelargonium - go for it.
If you want something sweet, powdery or soapy - this is not it.

Mystères du Château de Dé

The geranium isn't the garden variety with giant flower heads seen in the USA and on Swiss chalets. It's the more rustic Pelargonium crispum type. Now that comes in some very fragrant varieties including many with strong mint and strong citrus. This is the mundane one. The perlagonium really binds the rose and violet to morph them - they do not stand out. The rose may be a bit more detectable than the violet leaf. Bergamot? Bof. A very real trace perhaps. Not what we're used to identifying as bergamot.

This is a gourmand smell. I have the same reaction to Solis Couvent. Not a freshy. Furthermore, effort has been made to make these scents out of the ordinary. Most people who appreciate this, I expect have an adventurous or experienced nose for perfume, light as it is. It could smell earthy, dirty, or like a celery salad, on first impression.

Like Solis, this is sensual on me. Related to the Hermès stylings but if those are watercolour type creations, these are oil pastels.

This one was not for me, I had to gift it away since I didn't get any use of it. The friend who I gifted this likes this though!😁 I would describe this as light, aquatic flora scent. If you like rose, this one is nice addition to your collection for the days when you don't want to put perfume but want something more stronger than eu de toilette.

5xSecrets!

The bottle says pelargonium and rose. Pelargonium is another word for geranium. Neither pelargonium or geranium are listed here, but this is a geranium bomb!

Geranium is typically used in men's fragrances and is essential in fougeres. It lends a fresh, slightly spicy almost minty floral aspect to fragrances. Those words describe well what Aqua Paradisi smells like, with the added touch of watery or airy undertones that is typical for many Jean Claude Ellena fragrances.

High concentration (78% alcohol), if you like geranium, you will love this.

Am I alone in detecting an incense note here? Maybe it's the way in which the flowers happen to interact with the bergamot but I get a distinctly smoky yet fresh note that just screams incense to me, and lingers on for quite some time. It eventually mellows out to something more clearly floral.

Interesting and an alright scent, but not for me.

Update: after some further research I'm rather convinced it's the pelargonium note (not listed here, but mentioned explicitly on the packaging) that I'm picking up. I've found several sources stating pelargonium/geranium can have an incense-like or 'church-like' quality to it.

Like all Le Couvent scents I've tried, Aqua Paradisi is on the lighter side, easy to wear and really pleasant. It's a rose and geranium cologne, nothing mindblowing but for under 20 €/50 ml I got it for, I'm very happy. Lasts surprisingly long for such a light concentration. If you like light, green, rose scents, this is a rather safe blind buy.

Edit: Now that I've worn this more over a few days I must say that I need to be really careful not to overspray because there is something in this which causes severe headaches.

Wasn't loving it at first, but now I think it is simply gorgeous! Flowers in it are somehow strong and deep, rose esp. but not too heavy for a day scent. Soon after first spray becomes milder. After 4 hours I can still smell it. Got compliment too. And the bottle is nice and simple. Will buy again from this brand for sure!

Akoyoko

My first cologne. I usually buy only eau de parfum, but this summer I want to try wearing only eau de toilette and cologne. So far I like the smell but it lacks personality, and the lack of sillage and longevity annoys me.
Nevertheless I am intrigued by this Maison de Parfum, Le Couvent. I will buy some of their eau de parfum and eau de toilette next.

Compositeur

There's a whole note missing, and yet it's right there on the box and blurb from the brand: pelargonium. It's what gives this a bitter-green, earthy twist. There's a similar note in Knize Ten. The feeling I get from this is that of an aromatic cologne. There is plenty of rose, but it is counterbalanced by the pelargomium.
I'm definitely becoming a fan of the whole line from Le Couvent.

This one does not work for me at all. No roses, no violet just dirty water from washing machine. The water is still warm and it evaporates the faint smell of washing powder and dirt to the point that it makes me uncomfortable.

ivadim

Кремообразен, много приятно сладък и гален, розата е кремава и пухкава, цялата композиция е някак гладка и много женствена.

I do like this brand's new look. There is something humble about it.

1st of all, the 200ml bottle definitely worth his price.
The smell does stay all day on me, and more on clothing.

The smell itself does not evoke fresh rose to me.
I smell geranium and violet for sure. Something makes it bitter. Reading the description, it might be bergamot... But I don't recongnize it like I use to, in other perfume.

It reminds me the chemical scented blue sweets I like to eat, when I was young. I never figured out what it tasted like.

Tamlin

After reading the notes I can kinda pick up the combination of rose and violet, and it is actually quite well balanced.

But the impression this makes on me is mainly just a rose and fruit scented soap for older ladies. Maybe a very fancy soap, but still. It's a nice rose scent but the sweetness makes it very feminine and there's something about it that leans a bit "older".

barcandiana

In the beginning it smells like that rose water which is used in arabic sweets. Very sweet, kind of rose jelly sweet.

meroo

An alright bergamot flowers scent, performance is remarkably bad.
Moving on....

So litlle known and yet such a gem.:) Love it a lot! Works perfectly with my skin. Delicate but stays quite long. Sweet but not cloying. There is also some softness in it. If you are looking for a real rose-ROSE fragrance then I'd suggest Jo Malone Red Roses. But if you want to have a nicely blended mixture of heavenly cloud-like rose with a hint of fruits, go for this beauty.

skunk50

This is feminine, fruity and floral. I dislike perfumes with heavy sillage, this is soft-moderate which suits me perfectly. Very good for lasting on my skin, and it lasts for days on my clothes. I still smelled it on my sweater a week after spraying it. I like it, but get tired of it after a while and like to layer it with another fragrance.

TaniaClamp

It leaves a flowery and soft fruity scent trail. For me it’s an intense concentrate of high quality, based on botanical, natural essences in the spirit of French perfume art. This is the scent I first tried from Le Couvent and I just fell in love. It also made me curious to buy more of their scents. It’s an love for me!
