Luna Rossa by Prada is a Citrus Aromatic fragrance for men. Luna Rossa was launched in 2012. The nose behind this fragrance is Daniela (Roche) Andrier. Top notes are Lavender and Bitter Orange; middle notes are Mint and Clary Sage; base notes are Ambrette (Musk Mallow) and Ambroxan.

Prada introduces a new masculine fragrance in Sept 2012, named after the sailboat and the sailing team "Red Moon" or Luna Rossa, which participates in the American Cup competitions. The new fragrance, considering its name, draws its inspiration from the world of extreme sailing, prestige, marine nature and passion for innovation and victory.

The composition is developed around the main note of lavender by perfumer Daniela Andrier of Givaudan. Intensity and freshness of accords are emphasized by the use of classical notes in new, innovative ways. Those notes include lavender absolute and bitter orange in the top, clary sage and spearmint in the heart, and ambrette absolute and ambroxan molecule in the base.

Bottle design is inspired by modern sailboats, signed by Yves Behar. The fragrance is available as 50, 100 and 150 ml Eau de Toilette.

WoW.... Best Prada

Ben&Jerry

Prada Luna Rossa is something different from the citrus heavy perfumes usually dominating in male summer scents. This perfume is indeed heavy on lavender and mint, almost to the point where I fail to detect any other accords. That being said, Lavender and mint is what Prada does in this fragrance, and boy do they get it right this time!
It’s a summer scent with a unique bend. I kinda love it! That being said I still have a few couple of minor complaints about this fragrance. One relates to longevity and sillage. Both could be described as both modest and weak performing, but then again I have to admit I’m normally going light with the sprays. Still I would like for it to stay alive for longer than 3-4 hours before turning into a skin scent. Nostril fatigue may play a part in this, but that’s how I experience it anyways.

To me this is blind buy worthy as I can hardly imagine anyone disliking this perfume. It’s fresh and clean lavender/ mint in a soapy way. It just works great!

Scent profile: Lavender/ Mint
Longevity: 4-6 hours
Sillage: moderate
Gender: Definitely male/ hard to pull off for women
Value for money: Good
Versatility: Allrounder in spring and summertime

Verdict: 8/10
Blind buy: Safe

A fresh, soapy fragrance. Even through the dry down it smells pretty much the same. Projection is pretty good actually. Something you can wear as a daily. Longevity is very good. Not everyone likes the soapy smell though, but me personally I don't mind it but I may have a bias opinion considering I also own two of its flankers. Not a bad smell, suitable for any age i'd say, youth to older men however more fitting for younger adults.
This fragrance gives off a man with white t-shirt, jeans, clean white shoes and a gold chain kind of vibe.

websterdaniel

Alright so here it is!

This fragrance is so comforting. I'm amazed I waited on this one.

Longevity is 12+ hours. Sillage is moderate for first two hours, then sits close to skin for the remainder. This is incredible quality for the price.

The first top notes to me are the exceptional lavender and bitter orange which becomes nuanced by the mint. The ambroxan definitely gives it the longevity and pushes the musk and clary sage.

This is excellent. Anything friendly, but definitely for formal or moderate formal wear. This is NOT for lounging. No. This is more respectable. To wear this as a lounge fragrance, is like wearing Amouage to bed.

Buy it. Get two bottles is possible. This is comforting. Excellent job Prada. 👏👏👏

Clean, bright musk. Very straightforward. The opening is bright and fresh with a bit of citrus. It'll dry down to a soft white musk. The musk has a little sweetness to it, and the texture is like silk, almost.

I had a mildly positive impression of this at first sniff, but it grew on me. Very easily a daily driver/signature scent.

Bizzy1995

Minty orange with fresh spicy sage and lavander, With a woodiness and sweetness to it. Nothing too special

This what I love about Prada and why I place them toward the upper end of designers. The motto "the cleaner the man the sexier" embodies Prada and Italian style perfumery. Ofcourse people will view this as basic but it's supposed to be. What I respect most about Prada is how they have mastered the soapy clean fragrances and don't tend to change lanes. Even when they do a warmer sweeter scent it's still wrapped in cleaness. This one is a perfect example. It kind of reminds me of Prada amber with some citruses and mint. I love the lavender citrus combo. Into the mid you pick up the mint. Dry down its just a little musky and clean. I do feel the citrus persists a bit giving it a slightly watery touch. It's impossible to offend someone with this. This is still a great option from the Luna Rossa line.

It's alright, the fragrance is missing something in my opinion it smells unfinished. It's a bit heavy on the lavender. Very clean smelling. Would make a good gift since it's very mass appealing or good for a first fragrance to start off your collection.

Hulknas187

Great fragrance in my opinion. I have owned three different from this line. Out of Carbon, Ocean EDP and this. I will say this is my favorite, second Carbon. It is clean, fresh, light fabric sheet smell to it. Nothing fancy but well put together. I am looking forward to rocking this more this Spring and Summer. I feel you can get away with wearing this in the early months of Fall, September into late October. Excellent work fragrance. Projection is decent about two feet for about a hour and change. Settles down to just above a skin scent...like three to four inches off the skin. I put this on before work at 5:50am today 3/25/24 and it is now 11:54am and I can smell it going strong still. I can easily say this is a 6 to 8hr fragrance maybe longer. Six sprays is all I put on this morning.

Had a sample of this for years now and never smelled it til recently. I think it came with something I got from Macys. The opening reminds me of a rue 21 perfume I got in the mid 2000s. Quite nice and long lasting. I think it’s worth adding to the collection for casual wear.

Update: after giving this some extensive testing, I really enjoy it and will be adding it to my collection.

YoutubeChannelBobGianShow

Very intoxicating scent. Classy, Elegant, Easy to wear, inoffensive, fresh, clean, citrusy, out of the shower scent.

Reminds me of Nautica Voyage. They are somehow similar in terms of scent profile.

Longevity and sillage kinda suck on my skin, I don’t know anything about the good performance stuff. Rate 5.5/10

JackBauer

I dunno about weak performance, still can smell the beautiful lavender/minty/musky dry down 48h+ later on my shirt.
This and BDJ, right here, right now.
9/10 ( like it better in fall/winter Time )

If you're getting sick of blue fragrances and nauseating elixir bombs, give this a shot. It's overshadowed by its flankers, but I think this is the best in the Luna Rossa line, and it's actually my favorite Prada fragrance overall.

Prada L'Homme is widely considered the best office scent, but I think this works better. Without the iris note (which some people apparently hate) this is less powdery, more masculine, super clean and fresh, and it has great performance. It's perfect for spring and summer, can be worn both formally and casually, and it's very unique. I read a lot of reviews saying this is basic and generic and uninteresting, etc, but I've tried a few hundred fragrances over the years, and I can't think of a single one that actually smells like this.

There aren't any marine or aquatic notes, but this still somehow evokes the feeling of sailing and the sea. This is named after Prada's sailing team, and I was lucky enough to see them in Sorrento and Capri, Italy last year. This fragrance absolutely nails that motif - fresh, clean, Italian luxury. Great stuff.

nísimaldar

Kinda torn. Opens 5/5—beautiful sweet mint and fresh lavender. Then 30min later it dries into a 3/5 musky ambroxan, which is safe and uninteresting. Very very clean and mild despite significant longevity. I guess there a just others in this genre I’d prefer more, including Prada’s own Amber Pour Homme or L’homme for a clean soapy smell with a more interesting dry down.

On a different note, I keep going nose blind. I think it’s gone then I can smell it again an hour later. I think it’s all the heavy aroma chemicals in the base. That’s frustrating as the wearer bc you can’t enjoy your own fragrance. (I have this worth some other aroma chemical forward ones like Dior Homme 2020 or Elysium; why spend $$ on a fragrance I can’t smell?).

i love lavender! and i love how lavender smells on this luna rossa! i get the minty vibe’ with that clean calming lavender .soapy but Manly! musk is on the base with some powder . a safe fragrance if you are starting on this game! I use this luna rossa all seasons .so i dont have any problems with longevity’ great stuff! great price!

Ayman Abdelhameed

Great as a signature scent

Zidde

Beautiful and refreshing! I get compliments on this one in the afternoons. So the longevity is better than you might think. There is a cheaper dupe of Luna Rossa that actually smelles better and performs better than the original. Is that a good or a bad thing?

mergo

I have this fragrance for a year but I mostly used this in summer. So, I still have 20 percent left actually. Today I picked it up from the shelf to try in cold weather. And the smell was out of this world!!! The beautiful orange and the mint just strikes you like in-your-face type of a style. Man man!!. This is something else in cold weather. I certainly recommend this for cold weather. The softness comes from lavander, wow just ambraces you beautifully :) and also besides from cold, try this at night you probably will fall in love with this fragrance... Highly recommend it.

Psalzarulo

I've owned this scent for quite some time now but somehow never got around to reviewing it. This because my everyday work scent as soon as I smelled it. It's Prada's signature clean lavender scent, but with musky/citrus top/basenote combo and pure freshness from the mint.

The lavender in this is just intoxicating. It's super clean, fresh, and just sweet enough to make each whiff feel special. The muskiness that stays on the skin after dry-down just brings this to the next level.

As others have noted, this is the fresh and clean version of Chanel Allure HSEE, which I also own and love very much. While they both capture the musky/citrus combo, Chanel is much more deep and sweet than the Prada. They both make fantastic office scents.

This is definitely a masculine scent, and I do find that the ultra-minimalist, clean-cut scent fits a certain type of man (I'd like to think myself) who's going for a simple, professional feel. This is like a barbershop scent meets tech worker.

This is really one of the scents that has never disappointed me, and really opened up my eyes to how much I loved masculine lavender scents.

You can pretty much were this to any occasion, although it does lend itself to lighter, brighter, more professional settings. I find that it has average sillage. It doesn't last forever but it easily lasts 2-3 hours with projection and when applied on moisturizer can last over 8-10 hours on the skin.

I have only done this once before (Ombre Leather) but I'm giving this a 10/10. The only thing that could possibly improve it would be added longevity, but that could always end up making the actual scent worth, so I think it's perfect as it is.

milan.alleman

Great scent, love the lavender in this. But the longevity is not it. I couldn't even smell it anymore on my clothes after a short time. Pleasant nonetheless.

Prada Luna Rossa: A Peppery Lavender Pleaser
⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

I have a long history with Prada Luna Rossa. It was my signature scent for several years, even though I initially despised it and relegated it to my office desk. But something changed over time, and I began to appreciate its charm. Perhaps it was the constant stream of compliments that it elicited from others. It is a crowd pleaser, indeed, and not in a dull or generic way.

The fragrance is dominated by a sharp and spicy lavender and pepper note, which is softened by some fresh and crisp florals. Underneath, there is a chemical and aromatic base that is characteristic of many Prada scents. I suspect they have a secret ingredient that gives them this distinctive edge. I also own Prada Infusion Iris Cedre, which shares some similarities with Luna Rossa, but is more sensual and refined. Luna Rossa is more playful and lively, but still elegant and modern.

The performance of this fragrance is moderate, but not disappointing. It lasts for about six hours on my skin, and projects well for the first two hours. However, there is a catch: it contains ambroxan, which can make you lose your sense of smell quickly. So you might not enjoy it as much as others do. Prada is becoming more expensive these days, and I think they need to lower their prices to keep their customers happy.

LeSmeller

Prada makes weird fragrances - some better, some worse, but every one I tried was weird. This one reminded me of CK One because of the innocent "young girl with a lily of the valley bouquet" vibe, but while One is very upbeat, Luna Rossa is reserved, shy even. It could pass as unisex easily. In short, the scent is herbal aromatic citrus fresh, and you wouldn't be wrong to call it marine fresh because it's musky and salty. Ambroxan is non-obvious and provides good longevity. A clean scent if I ever smelled one. "Minimalist" is also a good word to describe it. I like it much better than Chanel Allure Homme Sport, with which it unfortunately shares "a thousand tiny needles in your sinuses" quality. This is the main downside of this fragrance, it grabs your sinuses in an unpleasant way.

TLDR: Rioja1973 is right - it's a perfect scent for a [certain kind of] young man. Clean, fresh, herbal, sophisticated and minimalistic.

It's aight, but not as good as Carbon or Ocean to me.

Smells yummy. Smells kind of sweet. Like the tiniest bit. This is great! Just so pleasant to smell. Longevity is good too.

I always check Fragrantica for reviews but have never had much to say. I created an account just to review this scent. I’ve been a fan of luna rossa sport for years but hadn’t smelled the og until earlier this year. Had I read the reviews before smelling this I probably would’ve never gone out of my way for it. Boy am I glad that’s not the case.

This has been my daily frag for over 7 months now as I just can’t stop enjoying the clean, casual and easy-going vibes this fragrance gives. I bought up 4 bottles of it on deep discount when Ulta still carried it. I’m usually a fan of spicer/warmer frags (ysl l’homme edp, spicebomb, etc) but this hits different in all the right ways. It has helped me lean into my ideal clean boy aura while still embracing my casual, fun side. Makes me feel like I am squeaky clean and sexy. Bummer it’s gotten harder to find.

Hamza_Chaudry03

This is a dumb-reach fragrance for me. Ideal for work, going out for errands, school, gym, etc. . . Over-all pleasant, clean and uplifting. I also spray it at home after showering because it makes me feel so relaxed 😄

alexandris

A minimalist and beautiful scent. Somewhat medicinal due to lavender and musk but carries just enough sweetness to pull off in any environment.

You can wear it to office, to daily errands and even to bar-hopping night outs. I wore this for longer than 3 years in university. I wore it to classes, night outs, boys nights, weddings and even clubs. Women always liked this one.
And if you are a neat, charismatic, open minded and likeable person, you can pull this off like no other.

A spring-summer-early fall scent. Moderate longevity and moderate-to-intimate projection. You can go trigger happy with this one since it smells just natural and safe.

alecrangosauro

This fragrance is amazing! I wear this to work almost every day when it's hot. I love mint and lavender, and those notes are honestly the most noticeable when I smell this on myself. It smells so clean, fresh, and irresistible! It's very office-friendly and safe. I also get pretty decent longevity out of this. 9/10

iluvcheeseburgers

Natural smelling, well blended, fresh, and clean. It’s a lavender bomb, then it’s clean laundry. It smells classy. Projection is very weak and It’s a skin scent after 2 hours. Appropriate for any occasion or any season.
Mine is batch code: 91471

First 10 minutes = zesty bitter orange and medicinal lavender.
Next 20 minutes = sweet, herbal lavender and sweet clary sage.
Next 30 minutes = spearmint chewing gum and herbal lavender.
Next 60 minutes = laundry dryer sheets

dantar

Very modest lavender and mint, I’d totally wear this to bed.The sillage wasn’t HUGE on me, but thats not a bad thing. It’s like you just stepped out of a shower but not overly soapy. Kinda “clean girl” but on a dude. I love that it’s a step away from that generic really in your face aquatic scent that men’s cologne always seem to have.

TheodoreMnts

I preferred how it smelled during the dry down over when it was first sprayed. In the Philippines where we still wear face masks and use a lot of alcohol (in the aspect of health and hygiene). This reminds me of the better scented alcohol products

Slimshadybaby

My fragrantica rating is a 4.30.

On a tester strip, I agree with general comments about it smelling like a soapy lavender scent with orange rind - I'm imagining a Baylis & Harding branded soap in a an upmarket hotel or restaurant (a nice smell but not what you imagine as attractive).
On skin, this smell is incredibly masculine and attractive. It is inoffensive, you do smell like you have a modern city apartment that you keep clean, it is suited for office wear... and women find it very attractive in all ways different to how a sexy fragrance is marketed.
Lavender, orange rind, clary sage and ambroxan are the foundations of what on skin is an assertively masculine, clean and sexy scent. Women love it - smelling clean, tidy and as if you have everything in order is pure masculine sexiness. It smells greener on skin than on a test strip (but is so well balanced and blended that it is not overtly green and is supported by a slightly sweet undertone possibly coming from the coumarin).

Sillage is good if not very good. Nearly all fragrances last longer on me because I'm fit and healthy so I can't comment on its general longevity but can tell you it has lasted me over 12 hours with 4 sprays - 3 on the neck and 1 on the wrist. Bottle has nice glass, great atomizer but the metal aesthetic is cheap plastic but looks good from a distance on the cabinet.

Very impressed and has the market advantage of not being so popular compared to blue fragrances currently.

Modern, masculine and sexy.
Suitable for indoor and outdoor ventures in the spring, summer and autumn.
A day scent that can be used in the evenings by cutting through the chilly night.

kanaerion47

It's a pleasant, soapy, relaxing scent, but it doesn't really smell like cologne. It reminds me of lotions, hand creams, certain sunscreens, spas etc. Somewhat medicinal too. You'll probably get compliments for it, but more because you smell clean than because you smell sexy. I imagine a doctor wearing it. Can't really think of what situations it fits, like I said it doesn't really smell like a fragrance. Office maybe if you wanna be as safe as possible?

Brender

Good soapy lavender and sage. It's very minimalistic and serves it's purpose well. This thing says "I shower and iron my clothes every day" and combining it with actually doing that will make you the freshest person in the room. This thing does very little to stand out, but it also results in me having no real complaints. For some it's the master of mid, but for fresh boys it's iconic.

Marshzcents

I like this fragrance a lot, the sage is very noticeable and of course, as Prada does, the soapiness of the lavender is amazing, this is a great masculine modern fragrance. I don't know how people hate on this for being simple, sometimes that's a good thing in my opinion. I hate how much I like Prada fragrances because they don't last much on my skin, I swear lol. I used to have Prada L'homme Intense, an 8hr amber heavy fragrance and it would last I kid you not 10 minutes on my skin, this is the same case. People say this is long lasting but I only get 2-3 hours max, with moderate projection so I guess that's really good! 😁

jessetn

it’s perfect for it’s purpose.
not the most creative or complex scent but really reliable.
i think it’s blended really well. slight citrus with lavender and mint. got a nice slight creaminess to it as well
incredibly clean, fresh, and sophisticated. classic

jose_marquez123

Beautiful perfume, it is really great to appreciate the progress of the notes. It starts a little bit sharp, then you'll have a very nice lavender with sage that will make you remember 212 Carolina Herrera, but this one ends like no other perfume, with a very special clean soapy smell, only Prada can do it like this. It's good for office, but it's the best for romantic dates, your girlfriend/wife will love to be close to your neck!!!!

Matasta

Many people tend to rate this one a bit lower due to a lack of complexity to satisfy their needs. I feel that we should judge a fragrance by its purpose and how well it executes it. This is a no-brainer pick-and-go fragrance, something fresh and alluring that makes people genuinely complement you. I use this all through summer and spring sometimes fall too, mostly mornings. The reason I like this the most is because it's inviting, especially in university, its not cloying, its not harsh to the nose, and everytime I sit next to anyone they say wow you smell amazing (Its meant for close proximity tasks (around 2 forearm lengths away), if I'm in a work meeting, or at uni, people compliment that its not overpowering and headache-inducing. I rate this a 9/10. It is deducted a point due to its market price, around $139 AU for 100ml, which is OK. I feel like the Fragrantica rating should be 4.20 to 4.30.

Realest Rater 47

This makes you smell like you have very good hygiene

seidavee

I sampled this and immediately loved the warm and clean freshness... Wonderfully aromatic, lavender and citrus does not jump at you but more so mixes softly with the mint and musk. I spritzed it all over myself, unbeknownst to me this was intended for men, until a few moments later. There was something so sensual and fervent in the powdery notes, I'd sniff and feel a slight flush from the blood rushing to my cheeks that made me feel so free and powerful... "I think this is for men... I love it." I think of a sophisticated and charming gentleman with a youthful free spirit. Like the kind of man who has not yet been hardened by spice (or something like that). Very pleasant and comforting. Peaceful. To me, there is something that slightly resembles insecticide, but in a really nice inoffensive kind of way. Not a feminine beauty, but not a dominating beast.

Bfreepro417

Revisiting this one, as I’m packing to move to a new house and I found my old small bottle with probably 10 sprays left. I definitely remembered this as being a really classy, fresh, breezy, athletic/sporty scent.
I sprayed it on myself again after not wearing it in probably two years, and was instantly reminded why I liked it in the first place.
It’s so sharp and invigorating on the opening, there’s this really fresh, citrusy type smell- not a sweet, ripe fruit, but a juicy bitter rind, like the pure citrus acid smell from squeezing an orange peel. It’s bitter and invigorating, and there is this added CRISP, green sharpness from mint- incredibly fresh, cool, and undeniably clean. These two aspects alone could easily be too much or too bitter for some, BUT, what makes this a masterpiece in my opinion- there’s this underlying soft, slightly powdery roundness to it from lavender and the ambroxan in the base.
It’s fairly simple as far as notes, but the way it’s crafted and blended is absolutely masterful. It’s incredibly classy and overall, the ingredients smell very high quality and natural. To me, it’s one I love to spray anytime when I’m at home or after the gym, as it’s just so breezy and uplifting, and oozes a cool cleanliness no matter what. It’s fresh in a bottle. It certainly does not smell like baby powder to me but it does have a powdery, warm/round vibe from the base notes, and that makes it incredibly versatile and high-class to me.

I think every other fragrance in this category can maybe be a little too sweet or juicy, this one feels like a light mist of pure masculine freshness, but it does have really good longevity for a freshie. Also gives me a MODERN barbershop feeling.

Compared to the other Luna Rossa line:
Sport is much thicker and sweeter, in fact, I find the Luna Rossa EDT to be a better “sport” scent than the actual Sport flanker. I love them both though. EDT is lighter and crisper, Sport is warmer and more heavy and sweet with the vanilla/tonka bean flavor.
Carbon is much spicier, more juicy and less crisp and fresh. More like a modern “blue” style- like sauvage or Dylan blue- sharp, modern spiciness. Luna Rossa EDT, comparatively, feels like a modern take on the sport fragrances from the 90s, like Platinum Egoiste, polo sport, stuff like that.
Black is in another league as a dry, super dark, thick and rich (almost gourmand) type scent. They’re nothing alike.

Some scents with a similar vibe-
Chanel allure homme sport - sweeter and less crisp, more juicy orange and less bitter orange.
Dior homme cologne - lighter and less complex, almost unisex, but captures a similar natural citrus freshness up top.
polo sport- both deliver this refreshing, minty quality.
Light blue forever- simply due to the natural, bitter refreshing citrus note up top (bitter orange in Luna Rossa and grapefruit in Light Blue Forever)- in both its a very rind-y citrus note instead of the typical sweet citrus juice.

Conclusion: I love the simplicity, clean/soapy vibe, and pure class from Luna Rossa. I quickly went out and bought a 100 ml bottle after using what was left of the 50 ml bottle I found while packing. My only regret is that I left this one on the shelf for so long!

Antmo

I have to admit this is not one of my favorite fragrances. But, yesterday I really enjoyed the smell all-day long. It felt refreshing and warm somehow. I even considered buying it again. I've had it for two years, It just never felt right. Maybe I'm falling in love the my old favorite combination of lavender and sage again? I'm hooked. Replacement Bottle on the way.🙌🏾💯

bvarney_zip

This is such an invigorating mint fragrance. Woody soapy mint. But mostly mint. Mint mint and more mint.

MrLeBop

I love this original Prada Luna Rossa. It is my go-to. The lavender, bitter orange and fresh soapy clean is a wonderful combination and is my most versatile fragrance. I can’t say it enough times how much I love it. I smelled it at an airport duty-free shop in 2012 and have been wearing it ever since. No other fragrance in the shop would do after that one. It still captivates me. I always thought it was a clean manly scent, but I found out 6 months ago my wife was swiping it and using it herself, so I bought her another bottle of her own :-). I think this would work best for someone in their late 20s through their 50s, but I’m turning 60 and still love it.

Amelio77

This fragrance is very nice clean soapy powdery , i can see girls loving this cuz u will smell like a clean baby :D , i may be wrong but it also smells similar with le male leparfum to me , when i first smelled prada i immediately thought about le male le parfum they are not exactly the same but u can tell they have the same powdery lavander kinda vibe , le parfum is more seductive and for more cold weather and night time , prada u can wear all year any time , but im gonna give prada to my brother which is 30 years old i hope it suits him. cuz i also feel like young guys and teenagers can rock prada aswell its not a very mature fragrance.

glouis7

Refreshing lemon/ tangerine base scent. Discrete, simple, versatile day time fragrance. Nothing to dislike nor blow your mind. Well blended suitable for most occassion and season. Better suited for someone in their mid to late 20s.

Very clean, very fresh. It's no ground-breaker. You can wear this every single day to almost any casual function. I wear this thing to the gym because it smells clean and isn't a massive projector. Smells like minty toothpaste with a dash of lavender. It's soapy, for sure. Hyper-linear; dry-down is pretty close to the open, even the mintyness remains. Lasts maybe two hours strong, and then it gets weak. I bought it because I'm exploring the line, but it's not worth the money people are asking for it now, given it's discontinued. However, it is an awesome dumb-reach fragrance. Nobody will ever be put off by this one. I'll certainly be enjoying my bottle.

zensouth

Weirdly reminds me of… D&G Intenso? Just a slightly less spicy version? Is my nose broken?

Docplaya

Fresh and clean scent. Very inoffensive. I imagine you will get compliments. Not compliments like you smell sexy but like you smell clean and nice. This one does sit close to the skin and I can still smell it 5hrs after application. This Luna Rossa is slept on.

Muskyflower

To my taste,
The OG is the best in the line.

Kaos_213

What happened to Fragrantica? It’s a former shadow of itself, this website was once actually pretty solid now thanks to fragrance influencers this website has become a complete fail. No one gives honest reviews anymore, everyone copies and pastes what others say. And worst of all we have people who claim to be fragrance enthusiasts just because they have all 4 Sauvage variations. This Prada does not have poor performance at all. But y’all keep it up with the fake reviews.👍

Rouge66

Smell is excellent. Unfortunately, it doesn't last long at all. It is very expensive for such poor performance.

Shadi118

I really like all Prada perfumes. They're classy and different.

tailoredshirt

This is my dumb reach casual/office scent for warm weather. The lavender and mint combo is a nice departure from all of the citrus-heavy summer fragrances (personal preference, I wouldn't mind if the orange disappeared entirely). Smells clean and doesn't get cloying in the heat. Thumbs up.

Jfox910

Baby Powder Mixed With Spearmint Gum.Weak Projection and Sillage But Very Solid Scent..This Is The Epitome Of Safe and Inoffensive. The Ultimate Wear Around The House Scent. 7/10

WildBorder

🙂 First wear, ok
After a week, damn!

After two weaks, It can be my signature!

Trosè2

Opens great, then turns quickly into baby powder

Plopeye

Myer recently gave me a sample and I loved it. Finding this is like finding a needle in a haystack. For me it has a similarity to PDM Carlisle which I also have a sample of and I LOVE.

Prada Luna Rossa is the perfect scent to just splash on and feel fresh and invigorated. The search for a bottle continues.

alrangel

Very weak, reminds me the same soap smell present in 212 Men

fromthesidelines

Surprised at how underwhelmed I am by this one. There's been some hype on it recently as a great summer daytime wear that stands out. Well, it is different. I get lavender, mint, some orange in the opening and, to me, a very off-putting wet green note. Luxury mint/lavender soap. Unisex. I wanted it to be fresher, more masculine and a little more invigorating.

WildBorder

This is good for summer. Fresh scent, safe to wear and maybe unique. Because It was old enough.

doodluv

This is a complete banger.

My favourite type of fragrance is probably something that is aromatic, fresh, ultra clean, professional, green-ish, with a 'cooling effect'
Living in a place where summers can reach 60 degrees celsius, I can wear this sort of fragrance every day and wouldn't get bored. It's precisely how I'd like to present myself at work, especially because said work involves getting very up close and personal with people. I want to smell well put together and classy in a very clean way.
The king of this genre in my humble opinion is Platinum Egoiste. Terre d'Hermes Eau Intense Vetiver is also brilliant.

Luna Rossa is another of the same style.
Aromatic? Check! (Lavender bomb)
Clean? Check! (It's a Prada)
Green + cooling effect? Check! (Nicest interpretation of mint I've smelt)

It's not as masculine, sharp or dry as Platinum Egoiste or TdH. It's a lot more rounded, a bit soapy, and ever so slightly sweeter. But I don't mind one bit, it's a great alternative to them while smelling totally different.

I get decent/good performance from it as well, awesome sillage and it lasts a solid 5-6 hours, especially on clothes.

Overall for me a solid 8.5-9 out of 10.

bma17

Really safe and linear. Love it for work or in any professional setting.

sammEslappa

This really is magic to me. One of the most versatile scents I own, very low key but to its benefit. It is signature scent material, dumb reach material, and you will smell incredible, like you take showers professionally. Lavender, mint, musky, ambroxan, clary sage and orange, I can pick up every note in here and they work so well. This is a scent that holds a gentle power. Decent performance/longevity, amazing profile. One of my few 10/10s.

DapperDon

Musk mallow, lavender & clary sage is all I smell. Something smells off about this one. Reminds me of Burberry touch.
A Strong 💪 💪 No for me!! 👎🏾 💩🤢

sam smith99

This smells like you're walking through a minty valley. fresh nice, but a one note hit.

karlee79

This is the OG and outshines em all, as a female I wear this and am in complete love with it. Bought it for my son but I always go into his room and spray myself lol 😆

justinmartini314

This I feel is one of the more underrated scents out there. Everyone talks about the flankers, but the original is always overlooked for some reason. I can see how some might think it smells generic or just ordinary but this truly is an everyday stable. I mainly get mint and lavender with this one which creates a minty yet slightly sweet scent. Some might say it smells like toothpaste which I can see but it smells like the best toothpaste ever made. I also find it super versatile but I find myself wearing this a lot in the gym as I find it smells good when heated up and it also has a sporty feel. 9.5/10

joopalainen

Love it. This is what I imagine an Italian old money family smelling like.

HikingViking

Best performing EdT I own. Clean, fresh & soapy very suitable for spring & summer.

Lhomme_Juanco

Smells like nice lemon zest at the opening and settles to a slightly powdery floral

SneezeNose

Classic Prada. Citrusy, clean, fresh spicy, and easy to wear. Summer appropriate.

This has the best scent profile in the Luna rossa line in my opinion. Performance is not great but you can spray as much as you want and won’t offend anyone.

This has ambroxan in it and I will try to layer it with molecule 01 and give an update.

Rogerant

My favourite if the luna rossa line. Simple fresh and elegant get great performance from this one. Spring summer sense. Sometime layer it with molecule 02 which packs a punch

Lhomme_Juanco

It’s not exactly sexy but it’s likeable. Sure this fragrance isn’t meant to be sexy but more of a casual office fragrance. With the note breakdown you’d expect it to be boring but Imo it’s very nice. Extremely versatile and compliment getter. Not so cheap which I still don’t know why Prada just doesn’t make these cheaper. It’s a good frag

scoopsoupOG

The more I wear it, the more I like it. Awesome freshness, like a lemon mint drink served on a hot day. Just wished it had a bit more strength 8/10.

MB76

This has been one of my choices for Spring wear and today I was a little undecided if I wanted to wear this fresh aromatic gem or Mont Blanc Explorer. I decided to layer them and wow, what a nice mix. They both are ambroxan based with a citrus opening and mid green notes so there’s no conflicting note mix. I do pick up a little more of the soapy clean blend of this Prada, but where the citrus dissipates fairly quickly in the Prada, Explorer comes in to boost that. I find its made for a very nice layering.

Vat1cano

I just finished my bottle .

I have decided to not place this one .
It’s a pleasant smell. But It smells like fresh laundry. I got one compliment from it (from a guy)
Not the type of smell I am going for.

Apache1830

Soapy, elegant, fresh

Imo a good everyday wear

8/10

planet19

Peaceful yet generic and weak :((

Daviako

This is how you do lavender. I absolutely love this fragrance, and was sad when it finally ran out. Spray it all over your clothes and it will last a lot longer than on skin. Very calming and creamy, yet citrusy enough to be perfect for any time of year, save for maybe the extreme cold or heat.

9/10

Elijah_lyndon

Very pleasant smell, mass appealing for sure. Soapy and familiar, but definitely has character and personality. Can be worn pretty much everywhere, though maybe not in the winter, as its longevity is mediocre. Linear fragrance, but it suits this type of scent, I really enjoy it.

hellogoddag

Great scent!
Elegant, sophisticated, lovely.
Less soapy than Pradas usual signature but it still has some kind of soapy accord.
The combination of lavender, mint and citrus is simple but awesome. It's mouth watering, smooth & sharp at once.
A humble and understated winner

Kerveros

I totally agree with Swolecido. The fragrance is nice but weak af... I sprayed like crazy and 2 hours later the fragrance was gone. And it was not nose fatigue, I asked a co worker is she could smell my perfume and the answer was no.

Swolecido

This stuff is super weak sauce. I sprayed it 10 times and it's still VERY subtle. It faded within a couple hours so I sprayed 7 more times and still could hardly notice it. Very fresh and light citrus, and definitely gives you that "clean" vibe. I really like the scent, just wish it preformed better. Im gonna try some flankers, hopefully they will do better on my skin.

Edit 2/17: I got to try Luna Rosa Black, Ocean, and Carbon. Carbon is the best out of all of them.

Salv

Somehow, some way I get more compliments from this fragrance then any other in my collection and it is just my dumb reach. I don't think about the situation or what I'm wearing, I just spray this on and get noticed.

Smells likes a spa, very simple fresh clean smelling soap. The bitter orange opening is lovely and fresh and the longevity is really, really good.

Afrikano

Very light fresh and aromatic. Perfect for when you want to wear something easy or something fresh out the shower. I get mostly lavender and mint, but the clary Sage adds a nice “spa” feel to it that makes it relaxing. It performs great as well and I think that’s thanks to the ambroxan, also got me compliments whenever I wore it. Definitely a bottle I’ll keep having in my everyday rotation. 7.5/10

Humble13

Very safe scent. I can definitely see this being a lot of people's signature all year round.
It is light, soapy and it's sillage isn't something crazy. People can smell you if you're next to them or if you walk by them. Longevity is also decent.

7shzy

Had this is my collection for a while . Smelled again recently and I am confused as to why people like this . If I had to describe it’s like if thin air was a scent. My review may change in a more hotter season where the notes may come more alive

Matherly

I’m finding this actually works really well for me in the cold. Will probably make this one of my year round scents

relw

Its just too powdery for me and strong at the same time. And it gives me headache.

twiztidladii

As a woman I love this whole line for men. My favorite on a dude would be Ocean but the original comes in second. Very attractive scent. Great for a night on the town or a nice dinner date.

ShinningLightOfThunder

Green lavender is very gorgeous!

I didn’t initially notice that it’s perfume for men :D I love it on my skin. It can definitely be categorised as unisex

MarkoPeeko

Beautifully crafted. So clean and uplifting.

A magical blend of orange, mint, lavender and musk.

Longevity is around 5-6 hours on my skin. Projection is moderate. Around arm’s length. A few compliments wearing this today.

Can see some resemblance with Infusion D’Homme. Especially that clean, bright freshness that lingers.

For the $100 (for $150ml), this is gonna get worn a lot this summer.

Genuinely, I don’t think I’ve smelled a bad Prada frag. Awesome again.

Rob321x

This is truly a masterpiece. So damn good the lavender and orange combo is done to perfection. Will get you so many compliments.

Invasionbg

The simplicity and the lightness of this fragrance is super charming. It is quite transparent, reminding me of something that MFK may create.

Very pleasant aroma, super elegant but there is “I don’t care” kind of vibe as well. I am who I am. It reminds me of D&G Pour Homme if the dna was up to date. Same heavy use of DIHYDROMYRCENOL but in a much softer way.

Don’t know if that performs, but just trying off the paper strip I am enjoying it big time.

It is aromatic, woody, clean and soft smell.

What I smell the most is musk, lavender, ambroxan.

Lotus/iris

I really like this, lavender is clean and quite mass appealing. It has a slight resemblance to nautica voyage which slightly ruined it for me, considering I spent 5x more for the prada

PWAAAA

Lavender-orange bomb. honestly, maybe a bit too orangey for me, but overall great, and the lavender is done beautifully.

Let_it_be

You would've thought this is a marine or blue fragrance since it's named after a yacht. Thank god it's something different and quite good actually.

The Spearmint note makes all the difference, giving the scent a minty freshness that contrast with the light sweetness of the base. This is basically Spearmint + Lavender and light sugary base. The sweetness is just the right amount, most other fragrances these days are just too sweet. It smells simple but is actually quite stylish in a minimalist way. In comparison L'Ocitane is more old fashion. Both are good just different personality.

Filosykos

I have a new bottle but I had this back in 2012 and I would swear it was almost beast mode back then. Could be the newer sprayer I don't know.
Its still good but the first release was almost too strong.

Llcj

This is one of my favorites of my entire collection. For those who shy away because of the performance dua’s darkside of the moon is east sme smell but beastly longevity. Was shocked at how exact they are

Hümpel

It's not a mint fragrance. Not a citrus fragrance. It is an inoffensive, slightly metallic lavender and ambroxan fragrance. Modern feel, crispy, freshly shaven cleanness. Perfect for the office. Performance is nothing special.

I have L'Occitan EdT, which is a more realistic, natural lavender, therefore Luna Rossa is redundant to me. I also have Dior Sauvage, which is denser, has more body. So, it's business as usual - pleasant modernity

SamM1971

It's amazing how 10 years later the OG smells better than any of it's flankers. Clean, soapy, slightly metallic, subtle but yet present - this scent is easily the best office/day fragrance I have. Not a big wow but a bit unique and very luxurious smelling. Not a statement fragrance, more like easy breezy daily beater. Longevity is a little bellow average (5-6 hours), so I re-spray after lunch. Everyone loves it, not a single negative comment, love the bottle, the sprayer could be a little better.

DBlack47

One of my favourite lavender scents. Starts out super fresh, soapy and lavender that dries down to clary sage and ambroxan. I enjoy this scent for business meetings and workshops, or when it’s warm and I’m on a mission (to get things done).

Its a safe blind-buy, longevity is amazing, projects well and sillage is average. I love the Luna Rossa line for spring time, as well as summer (moderate heat <36 degs Celsius)
Rating: 4/5

d.montalvo

Its okay, it isnt anything special in terms of sillage and duration. Honestly a beautiful smell all throughout, it just doesnt perform.

wristmeetrazor

gonna need a few more wears to decide if i love this or hate this. on one hand it lasts long, projects well without being cloying, and has a nice freshness to it that isn’t quite shower gel type freshness. on the other hand i kinda get lavender fabuloso from this. i mean, it’s a good floor cleaner, just not sure i wanna wear it as a perfume LOL

TetraMike

My favorite from prada. This is signature scent worthy for me and if you like soapy fragrances, you will love this one. The projection is very good, however the longevity on skin isn't the best for me. It lasts much longer if you spray on clothes.

vilasgaikwad

This is my signature fragrance, smells like a luxurious soap.

Scotty123

A nice clean soapy scent. A good fragrance if you’re just looking for something to wear everyday for whatever reason. I get decent longevity on clothes it can last over 8hrs like that, but still only has very light projection. It’s nothing spectacular, but a really nice scent. If it was stronger it would be better. However if you just want to smell fresh and clean this is the scent for you.

jpere963

Smells great. Nothing mind blowing as it’s just a typical aromatic lavender based freshie. But this one definitely stood out from other freshies for me.

This smells very familiar but I just can’t seem to figure out what smell it is. My instincts are telling me it’s an AXE scent I’m comparing it too. But which one?? I use to collect so many axe bottles when I was a 11-14 year old kid. I guess you can say that was my introduction to fragrance collecting.

If my memory is correct, this could be reminding me of axe kilo? Based on fragranticas notes for that scent has lavender and vanilla so I think that’s why this scent is so nostalgic for me. Definitely a successful blind buy 🔥👍🏼

MaciekLondonWwa

I love this one

Phenomenal mix of lavender and minty notes
It is a symbol of true elegance for me like freshly ironed white shirt
So crisp fresh and masculine.
I love to smell wiffs of it in the air
I just wish it lasted a bit longer. I don't know what is the trick as some people say it is long lasting.
Either my nose goes blind quickly or it simpy doesn't.
Mine is a 150ml bottle batch code 2021 production year.
One of my all time favourites but at the same time I am always so sad it doesn't last
Go heavy on the trigger, be amazed and delighted whilst you can still smell it

Vat1cano

Great fragrance. The sprayer sucks.

holdaer

This is a safe daytime / office scent. To me, this cologne reminds me of Bath & Body Works lavender sleep lotion. Not in a bad way, just in a safe clean relaxing way.

With that said, I'll move on from this one and keep looking for a more unique daytime / office cologne.

Hsuan

I get it now, whilst Carbon smells good the metallic smell can come off a bit harsh or cloying in summer time for some people. The lavender+mint in this comes off just as luxurious and a lot more lively.

Barista1989

The best. I said it. By best, I mean the best in the Luna Rossa line. Fresh and clean for any time of the year. Subtle but still gets the job done. One of my favorite fragrances to wear after a shower and shave. One of my favorite lavender notes. I do wish there was a bit more punch to the mint but I'm not complaining by any means. Bottom line, it's been good enough to continually go back to and wear consistently for 10 years.

jond11

Prada Luna Rossa is my first designer fragrance and it has introduced me into the world of fragrances. I find it to be fresh, friendly, and non-offensive. It's versatile and I've been very pleased with it's performance. As far as longetivity and projection, you can easily pick up the scent it from six feet away and it lasts around six hours. I have never been complimented on a fragrance until I tried this on. I would recommend Luna Rossa if you want a signature scent. Something you could throw on every day without a thought whether you're going to work, the gym, or just running errands.

JayBeez

I reach for this one when I want a subtle, yet noticeable clean and soapy vibe for a few hours. After that, it's mostly a memory, which is OK since I don't always want to have my fragrances linger forever. On me, this is quite similar to Paco Rabanne PH which lasts far longer if I'm looking for more longevity.

Great any time of year, but on me it really shines in warmer weather. Will be a permanent part of my collection for years to come.

dogmeat

I have always loved Luna Rossa and I still do. I own this one, Black, and Ocean. I think those two flankers along with Carbon get all the love (I have never tried Eau/Sport). However, I think the original is much more unique than Ocean or Carbon. It is more versatile than Ocean, Carbon, or Black (I do love Black though). I have been re-visiting this one in the summer heat and I am falling in love with it all over again. In typical Prada fashion, this is clean and fresh with a luxe quality about it...still soapy and powdery (maybe a little less so, than L'homme or Amber Pour Homme). This is a rich, soft lavender musk that always smells right for the occasion...even if the occasion is just sitting at home, smelling nice. I love this stuff.

Eple Drikken

this smells better to women than men, guys. been wearing it for a few days and I'm liking it more and more, but I've only gotten compliments from women. if you want something clean and safe, and very appealing to women, this is the one to get.

jarno1208

I like it. Aromatic scent. Masculine. Clean and Fresh. Great for office. Safe.

Marxwick

It is a clean, soapy, and aromatic fragrance, portraying a masculine scent.
If you take out the soapiness and bitterness, then it is similar to Dsquared2 Wood for Him.

sea2sky

Just finished a 100ml bottle. Turned out to be the most used fragrance in my collection. It is fresh and green without being too citrus forward. It is casual enough but also elegant too which makes it quite versatile. And yes - very mood uplifting.

SmellBound

I first bought this in 2013, shortly after it came out. It was a nice, clean fragrance that served as an olfactory "swiss army knife". I could wear it anywhere at all with no concerns whatsoever. I finished the bottle and moved on to other dramatic, popular scents of the day. I though I had forgotten about it altogether.

And out of the blue a few months ago I came across a bottle on ebay. I wondered if I would still like it as much as I did back then, and decided to buy it. I wasn't disappointed at all.. Not a bit. The stuff is just as wonderful as it was before. (even more so because of the simplicity of it)

Something about the clary sage, ambrette, mint and slight citrus just makes magic on my skin. A clean, fresh, very slight sweetness that lasts for a solid 7-10 hours on my skin with 6-8 sprays. Where this one truly shines is in the high summer heat. I'm talking 95F and up. It never gets cloying, or "too soapy/fresh". It does come and go after the first few hours, but it's always there.

This one really is a hidden gem that most people pass right on buy and never consider. But, it fits the bill for any situation I can imagine. Office, casual, night.. It doesn't scream.. It doesn't even really shout. But it gets noticed, complimented on, and remembered. And that is exactly what I'm looking for a lot of the time despite all of the other scents I've picked up over the years. It just "fits" so many different social shapes, its almost impossible not to love.

I'm very glad I decided to pick this one up again. Worth every penny.

Edit: This is becoming a summer favorite this year. a number of wears in temps at 100 and above. Great results.

claudiatalaugon

I went on a date with a guy that was wearing this and I was sooo obsessed with how he smelt that I HAD to ask. It is such a lightly sweet minty clean unisex perfume, that's the only way I can describe it for now. I almost want to buy it to wear it myself... so tempting! But perhaps I'll just let this scent remind me of him lol.

sebseb

This is a very beautiful clean scent, very smooth, very soapy barbershoppy, that leans unisex. This smells refined, but there is nothing strong in it, something to make you go "wow" or turn you away, so it kinda lacks some character. This would smell like a very good cheapie, but it's a Prada and it's not cheap. I do like it very much, but for that kind of money I would better get Guerlain Homme EDP and still have half of my money left and the Guerlain does the exact same thing, only a little less sweet and more masculine.

Riverwind79

Seriously, this smells way too good... so good! I'm so in love with the scent. The opening of that minty bitter orange lavender is so mesmerizing and cleverly done. Already past the 6.5hours mark and I can still smell the perfume. I bet if I tell someone that this perfume cost me few hundred dollars they will sure believe it.
The only regrets I have is to only discover this fragrance 10 years later.

FloridaFragLover

I get what people say when they say this has a “plastic” vibe but don’t be turned off by that. This is and has always been a clean, soapy good quality great scent and bottle overall. And surprisingly still has good performance.

aczwy

everyday i-want-to-smell-nice-but-i'm-not-doing-anything-special scent; so nice for running errands but not using precious sprays of niche fragrances. the lavender and mint really shine to give this a bright freshness, but it's neatly balanced out by the ambrette and ambroxan to give it some depth. minimal projection, it stays pretty close to the skin although there's still a reasonable scent bubble. leans a touch masculine on me, but i would still say it's fairly unisex

Shipo77

All I can say about this fragrance is that it’s fresh and smells amazing, the comments I get from this are only positive ones, when anybody asks me what it is I’m wearing I refuse to tell them haha, I can still smell this fragrance on me the next day and even on my shirt collar after it’s been washed, if you want to attract attention then this is the one for you

08310831

This one has got the DNA of Prada Infusion d' iris in combination with something fresh. It's got great longevity but medium projection.

RogueZXRO

My favorite Prada and I have carbon, ocean, and black. I'm just a big fan of the bitter orange note, it's so refreshing. Such a simple fragrance but it's amazing. This will definitely be in my collection forever definitely will rebuy it. This was a blind buy for me and I love it.

Eldi91

Now i'm not an fragrance expert so i'm puttin it this way:from all the fregrances i've tried recently including some heavy hitters such as Aventus, hacivat, virgin iseland water ,YSL bleu electrique,BDK citrus riviera any many more,Luna Rosa is by far my favourite with only Virgin Iseland Water coming closer to it!

Waldo Jeffers

Versatile, fresh warm weather fragrance. Very well composed, quality is evident but individual notes are hard to identify. There is nothing jarring about Luna Rossa. Fine for office or basically anywhere. Can easily be worn year round but best in summer for me. Good longevity— lasts all day. A great example of a safe scent with mass appeal that is not boring. When I just want to smell good in the summer without really having to think about it, this is what I reach for

Bfish88

Got a newer style tester bottle and wasn't impressed at first but this has grown on me because it opens up a bit. I thought it would be a skin scent quick by the soft opening but in the very linear drydown, it gets some heft to it...not much at all but enough to be a moderately decent upscale fragrance. This has office appropriate all over it, duh it's Prada.

Quite possibly the best warm weather dumb reach fragrance for a more classy scent profile. I really like this and even in its current formulation. Nice!

This will get a spot on the rotation shelf for sure!

Jayjay2

I was looking for a nice mint fragrance and once I smelled this I knew I’d found the one.

This is a really nice scent that everyone will enjoy. It’s fresh yet soft and can be worn in every situation and any weather.

The mint is nice and strong in the opening and the lavender is present as well. It’s a lightly powdery freshie that I enjoy.

If you’re looking for a dumb reach or signature fragrance, this is a great choice

ikea pencil

Everyday freshy runner.

Fresh, gentle, soapy, versatile and unisex. The mint, lavender and sage are mixed incredibly well, the bitter orange gives this a small bite, The amberette giving a brighter side here and the ambroxan gives a hint of masc (but I still consider this unisex). This is so easy to enjoy and very easy to put on! I can see this be something someone throws in the morning without thinking about just for the sake of smelling nice without making a statement. Also, this is infinitely better than Carbon.

spartaksci

Very clean and soft green scent. While i do find it pleasant and refreshing, i don't think it comes close to other Prada frags in terms of originality and presence, like L'homme and Amber Intense. But it does have the signature soapyness from Prada and it's very well-rounded with no sharp notes that could potentially put people off. Casual summer days or even as an office scent, since this is very fresh and clean.
Also, there's a slight bitterness here that very faintly reminds me of Versace The Dreamer, which i absolutely love, but much more toned down and subdued. All in all, Luna Rossa is a decent pick-up.

UPDATE: Turned this from a like to a love. After a couple of wearings, this one has grown on me. There's something about the simplicity of this scent that got me as i wore this throughout the days, it doesn't "try" to be classy and elegant. It just is.

Burtajones

Great white tee shirt spring/summer run to the grocery store fragrance. No complaints here.

lockwood_douglas

I've been wanting this for a long time, and finally pulled the trigger. This is an inoffensive, dumb reach fragrance. Nothing mind-blowing, but just smells damn good. I was always afraid it probably had weak performance, but here on Fragrantica, it seems most ppl have judged it moderate or better. This, to me, smells better than all of the [more popular] flankers. My 2nd favorite is Luna Rossa Eau Sport in the white bottle.

vola_cea

I do not need to leave a review, because it feels like preaching to the choir. People buying this 10 years after release already know how excellent Prada is. As expected, this is another incredibly smooth and interesting fragrance that is entirely inoffensive and safe. Blind buy worthy if you like Prada's line.

I was afraid this would be more herbal and flat based on the notes, but to me this is a clean soapy take on Versace Pour Homme / Acqua Di Gio style fragrances. I am not an expert nose, but they all have the same intoxicating aromatic accord. Luna Rossa simply supports this accord better and does away with overly scratchy citrus and water notes.

Definitely a crowd pleaser and compliment getter. This will be replacing VPH for me.

Parfum Prononcé

I’ve had this a while and after months I pulled it out as the weather is beginning to warm up. This is such a stunner in terms of a designer fragrance. The citrus, the lavender and ambroxan, gtfoh. So fresh and vibrant. And I get very solid performance out of it, even in its current formulation which is the one I own. Aces.

Vat1cano

I previously gave this fragrance a bad review calling it a smell of dryer sheets.
I have to say that I had a change heart. I happen to get my hands on a small bottle of this and tried it on for a week and I find myself liking this fragrance.
It's far more interesting than bleu de chanel
Citrus and powdery, it also has a herbal aroma to it. It smells natural and not synethic like most fragrance and not over the top. I will be buying the jumbo bottle soon!

bpmck78

I'm convinced that folks are here at the Luna Rossa page writing reviews for LR Carbon and LR Sport.
Luna Rossa does NOT smell like Sauvage. Luna Rossa Carbon does.
I would not consider Luna Rossa a lavender bomb. Luna Rossa Sport is the lavender bomb.
Regardless, all 3 are good and the entire Prada lineup is solid.
Luna Rossa is soapy, clean and fresh with moderate performance but good performance for a freshie. It isn't loud or brash. It is what it is and does it on purpose.

Sapere_Aude

prada is simply the best contemporary fragrance house today. i love everything they do, but this is just too special. they decided to ditch the iris heavy tradition and went with something more minty and my god does it work. one of the best fragrances in stores today. nobody says anything about it online? everyone rates black and carbon and ocean much much higher. but this to me is the winner, that mint and sage smells so fucking expensive and clean! <3 prada you are amazing

willnpc40

I am disappointed in this one. I am a big fan of Carbon, Sport, and the L'Homme line, but this is just so so to me and the worst one in the Luna Rossa line. Its fresh and pleasant smelling, but I was expecting more from Prada.

5/10 - Meh

ViceCity

I was surprised to observe how highly rated and praised this perfume was on many discussions, having more or less bought mine on an impulse 2 years ago. I personally rate it second best to Amber Pour Homme among the Prada fragrances I have owned.

Having said that Luna Rossa remains an easy one to enjoy. To me it smells very sweet and flowery so I reckon the clary sage plays a big role. It makes you feel refreshed on those hot summer days and is not uncomfortable or headache-inducing. I find it holds up quite well: sometimes I will spray around midday and still find the smell lingering when taking my evening shower 7-8 hours later.

Tinidril

Yes I am a woman, and I wear this. I have always prefered mens scents...maybe its the musk and spice and lack of overwhelming floral. I have loved fendi, givenchy pi, mr.burberry...there's a trend..

I am not very good at picking out notes, but I can get images from the scents.

This one makes me think of when you are going to an expensive christmas party. Or any special occasion in the evening, like a yacht or fancy wedding reception.
It is quite strong at first, enough to make you wonder is you've made a mistake, but it levels down to a sharpness that is pleasant. It lasts quite awhile for me.
I usually spritz it on a half hr before reconnecting with my husband as he dislikes strong smells.
I am happy I bought it and it should last some time as I don't wear it every day.

Satanael

Another classy from Prada.
They are master of soapy, clean fragrances but in soft musky way rather then detergent wise.
To bad we have only option for day and night.
For me it works best just late afternoon during summer holiday.
Just spray it and grab some nice cocktail on the beach.
also good office scent but would rather L'homme for that purpose.
If you can get it with discount, don't hesitate.
Very clean and inoffensive and not much citrusy either. It says bitter orange but I am getting neroli vibe of it and dry down is just smooth musky amber.
I wish my pillow and duvet smell like that every day.
So calming, relaxing and cosy.
Performance is quite good. On my skin about 5-7 hours but on clothes way longer.
Silage is not strong is off course rather small which in this case is big plus, as you want to smell like that for close encounters.

jbozz

This one reminds me of a lightly scented laundry detergent, very pleasant and clean smelling 🧺🍊 Definitely best for warmer weather. If you want something light and citrusy that’s gonna make you smell really nice, you definitely can’t go wrong with this. It lasts long enough for what it is. Blind buy worthy for sure!

Luuk

*my first blind buy!

- For me, this fragrance smells really : !light! powdery, soft, clean & soapy.
I wouldn't say this smells Fresh.

picked up a 50ml bottle at a discounter for 30,- EU.
I feel like that's a great deal getting a nice, clean, inoffensive smelling fragrance like this.
2 sprays last me about 5-6 hours on my skin.

Smell : 7/10
Performance : 7/10
Price : 8/10

Basman

This was something that i didn't had in my collection yet.
A really nice fragrance that works even in the hot summer.
I'm very difficult with hot weather scents and this one might be my favourite to wear this summer.
It doesn't hurt that i got this for a great deal.

Kevin The Llama

I blind bought this and I'm glad I did. Very pleasant clean smelling fragrance. This would be perfect for an office or school setting because it's inoffensive and smells very nice and clean. And surprisingly I get pretty good performance from this fragrance. Overall this is a pleasant inoffensive everyday fragrance that can easily get the "you smell nice" compliments. I give Luna rossa a 8/10

Srben

Prada doing what Prada does best: a beautiful, clean, powdery fragrance. Skin times obviously vary, but this stayed on my clothes for 12+ hours. I've had no trouble finding this anywhere that sells men's fragrances, so if the notes intrigue you, it doesn't have to be a blind buy. Very clean and fresh, highly recommended.

HikingViking

This was a surprise. Got a testerstrip last week, and was immediately enamoured by the super fresh soapiness of it. Today is exactly a week later, and the strip is still radiating this lovely frag. A little acidity from citruses in the opening but rapidly followed by sage, lavender and general clean soapy mids. Blue fragrances can suck donkey schlongs - soapy is the new fresh. Payed $75 for a 100ml. A little close to Intenso (D&G) in the opening and early mid, but the Prada is a enormously better performer.

Made by Kouros

Smelled this in the mall. 1st IMPRESSION: Unsurprising, okay but generic, left no memory.

Months later I read the note breakdown and reviews: people call this tangy lavender soap. I like lavender, so this sounds like a great sports scent. Must try again!

2nd 1st IMPRESSION: First ingredient is synthetic shower gel. The second ingredient is mint. Third ingredient is water and soap with which I washed this off. It is strong. It's not lavender, it's not classy.

VERDICT: This is a good gift for your 19 year old nephew who likes to smell like a fresh perfume guy. I still only like Black from the Luna Rossa line.

Luxfare

A sage monster, clean refreshing and easy to wear, opens strongly with sage and dries down to a musk, I personally don't get any bitter orange. Nice but not exactly ground breaking.

Roman86

This is pleasant but Luna Rossa Sport took the original Luna Rossa and made it more interesting. Not bad but it has been improved upon by the sequel Luna Rossa Sport with the added vanilla and better performance.

aliilo2

Phenomenal 🥵🥰🥰,luxury sporty fragrance,as expected from Prada ,aromatic citrus powdery scent.perfect for high heats.if you dont have it you need it in your collection suppperr underrated.little bit similar to eros flame

Vat1cano

Wellll.... I didn't hate it. However this fragrance was not a Wow. Infact it smells like clean clothes and dryer sheets. Doesn't Make sense to spend all this money when you can litterally throw your clothes in the dryer and maybe spray it with febreeze. It's litterally the same CHIT. I think the Ocean is their best smelling fragrance.
I decided to buy the Bleu De Chanel Edt. It's such as timeless fragrance and now under rated because people are now buying the newer scents.

matty77

Perfection ! Still great after nearly ten years. Perfect for so many occasions when a subtle fragrance is required. You name it. Work, interviews, weddings, funerals, casual or smart. Just a staple in my fragrance arsenal. Its basically the dumbest of dumb reaches and who doesn't want to smell clean and well put together. The great discontinued 'Infusion d'homme' and 'L'homme L'eau' do virtually the same thing with small variations in the notes. This is fantastic ! Longevity is surprisingly good off my skin. I can still smell it after 8+ hours but by then its merely a skin scent. It is moderate in its projection from the start as you would expect from a Non shouty Cologne.

Burgandy74

Smells like Eros but instead of vanilla, it’s lavender but doesn’t command that attention like Eros. A very nice pleasant scent, it’s a hug scent, people can smell on you then they hug you. It’s definitely a summer scent. I like it just because it’s safe and can be worn by women.

Likeablesauce21

Great everyday cologne, fresh scent good for something just to through on real quick and go off to work. I picked it up for $112 at Nordstrom’s and I love it. It could be relaxed and business oriented, very clean and professional, and luxurious. I get a good 9 hours from this cologne performance wise. Great buy!

santeripe

What a beautiful, sparkling, clean and fresh scent! This reminds me of a forest after rain. The sun is shining through water droplets on leaves and the birds are chirping. There's no woody base like Prada L'homme has, so longevity isn't amazing. This is less soap/fabric softener than L'Homme. More like a post-shower clean feel.

I think this is pretty similar to Baccarat Rouge 540 in feel. It's got the same sparkly airiness, but it's lavender/mint instead of cotton candy. And leans masculine rather than feminine. I love this for what some people find a weakness, its lack of substance and solidity! So safe and easy to wear. Not sure how this will fare in the winter, but I can't imagine it to smell worse like some heavier scents do in the summer.

gtvidal

This is fresh, but not in the same way as your typical blue fragrance, like Bleu de Chanel (a masterpiece), or lemony citrusy and spicy, like Acqua di Gio, and even though it has Ambroxan, is not like Sauvage or Montblanc Explorer (the ambroxan is practically undetectable, so I guess is just there to support other notes).
It is fresh in a similar way as Allure Homme Sport, but with a notable difference I'm going to explain. Both have an orangy opening, wich is tangy, citrusy, sweet and a little bitter. Both have a powdery and airy, almost like a cloud, vibe but in Allure Homme Sport it is achieved through Aldehydes and Tonka, which makes it creamy but also adds a gourmand vibe. It is creamy-fresh like, kinda like a tangy milkshake cloud. Luna Rossa is also creamy, but not in an edible way, but like a cloud of creamy soap, achieved through Lavender, Bitter orange and mint and some artificial note which is not ambroxan. So it is like a cloud of tangy lavender soap. I like it. It gives you a similar vibe to Allure Sport, but it can stand extreme heat, where Allure Homme Sport might be cloying.

smoothsubtlescents

i love this scent. it has a very exuberant, youthful vibe. i feel energized when i spray it, and yet also calmed. it's quite a sensation. i don't always reach for it but whenever i do, i enjoy it thoroughly. it lasts nicely for an edt, still pungent at 6 hours in. when i think of the word aromatherapy, this fragrance comes to mind. it's a feel good fragrance.

vitolezio

I love this one, very casual. Just one of those you can never get enough, my only problem with this guy is that doesn't last more than 2 hours.

billblm93

Nice one
smells fresh and clean
powdery
opens up citrusy green then dries down to a powdery lavender scent
versatile could be worn by women too
problem is : no character at all
average to ok performance
forgettable but i dont regret buying it

nelsongil13

The pioneer of one of the most successful saga 🧼💧🍊. LUNA ROSSA for men is just awesome. A Tender CITRUS, FRESH and CLEAN smell with the “who is smelling so good” effect. I feel a cooling ANISE MINT accord and yes! I get the potent LUXURY LAVENDER SOAP BAR vibe. gentlemanly, versatile, office friendly and perfect for casual and neat “white outfits” style after showering.

CGC

Very fresh, clean and soapy fragrance however not one of these generic fresh ones. It has unique and aromatic freshness. Very versatile, love to wear it every time, every season to the office and casual meetings. I wish it has a bit more longevity it stays with me 5-6 hours then become skin scent. My GF love to smell my shirt the days after use it before washing

Fragaddict123

If you ever thought Prada lhomme is good
Try this one it’s soap on another level
Fresh soapy long lasting scent
It keeps giving even after the 6to 7 hours mark
I recommend it for Prada lhomme lovers

stephen.redeker

For anyone who knows Prada Luna Rossa Sport first, consider this one similar, just less lavender and tonka and more soapy fresh. The Prada Luna Rossa line is one of the best values as they're quality designer fragrances (and versatile), that can be had under $40.

UPDATE: These aren't cheapies anymore, like they used to be. Perhaps this one, and Eau De Sport, can be had around $50. Sport, Carbon, Black, Intense? Forget it...closer to $100 and up.

VERY CLEAN FRESH SMOOTH RICH CREAMY AND SUPER SEXY

It doesn’t get much safer than this!
😌
This is the perfect office scent. Fresh and clean, as only Prada can do. You will offend no one with this. Extremely versatile, I’d say all seasons and any situation!

On me, it lasts a solid 8+ hrs & 2.5-3hrs strong projection. (An arms length for the duration of the fragrance.) Blissful scent trail! ❤️

Excellent compliment getter if that’s what you’re after.

This is a keeper!
10/10 👍🏽👍🏽

Luna Rossa starts off with a blast of herbal notes. I mainly smelt mint and lavender - a combination which I found to be very fresh and pleasing - but no orange at all.

20 minutes in, the fragrance slowly calms down and becomes a sophisticated, soft and somewhat unique blend of herbs. The note most prominent to me was the sage, but I could have sworn there was orris in there as well, although the fragrance pyramid later was to prove me wrong in that regard. At this stage, Luna Rossa is perfect: elegant, cool, versatile and very white-collar. It reminded me of a more herbal version of Infusion d'Iris, which is one of my all-time favourites.

About an hour after the initial application, at least on my skin (on the paper strip it was a different story), I got what I thought was a remarkably strong tonka note. Although after looking it up in the pyramid, I realise it must have been the ambroxan, what it did was smoothing the scent even more, giving Luna Rossa a dry and powdry quality that I enjoyed a lot.

However, as with other Prada fragrances, the pleasure is a rather short one. While displaying a moderate sillage in the beginning, from hour 2 onwards, Luna Rossa becomes very much of a skin scent. After only 4 hours, it has disappeared altogether.

Luna Rossa in a unisex scent that is suitable for almost every age group. Despite the weak longivity I like it enough that I will probably get a bottle soon.

In my opinion, this is a fragrance you cannot go wrong with. It deserves a clear recommendation.

TL;DR: elegant, cool, soft and very white-collar, poor longevity

hans.backe

Super fresh, clean soap fragrance.
Not bad at all tbh, but its strong, if you over spray it the lavender soap will give you a headache.

HARDSTYLE916

The lavender is just too strong so at the end it just smells like a bar of soap. Super clean and fresh kind of like Gucci Guilty Black but GGB has green and herbal notes that makes it unique.

skyward

Luna Rossa is one of my favorites and pretty unique smelling.

Aromatic, fresh, soapy, elegant, easy to wear. It's an uplifting scent suitable for spring and summer. Performance is moderate.

This is my favorite from all the Luna Rossa line. I have the new bottle version and probably it's reformulated. I had a sample in the past and I think the opening was more strong and bright.

confluent qualia

I smelled this for the first time many years ago and it left an impression on me. I have never smelled any men's fragrance quite like this, probably because the lavender is dominant, which I always associated as being more feminine. I was wrong. This is a simple but elegant fragrance that unites mint and lavender and is bound by what I describe as the fresh-wet-scent-of-spring-rain-in-a-forest. It is both calming and invigorating due to the lavender and mint, which is sort of an unexpected duo. The mint fades pretty quickly, unfortunately, and the fresh lavender maybe lasts for an hour or so before fading to soapy.

What's great about this is that to me, it seems highly versatile and appealing without smelling entirely generic. It is soapy, but maybe that's why it's appealing. I can't think of anyone this would offend unless you despise lavender.

MWS3

I love when my husband wears this fragrance! It's definitely my favorite on him so far and it was love at first sniff. It's such a clean and refreshing scent that I honestly love day or night for him. It's not loud or offensive, and I'd say it has moderate projection (my husband is not an oversprayer). It's a compliment getter for sure and worth every penny.

Trab

I own a lot of fragrances but anytime I wear this I get compliments – people love this fragrance, more than f.e. Prada pour Homme – they love it because it’s not overpowering, it’s not too loud even now with Corona, when people keep a certain distance the silage is enough to get noticed at a couple of meters distance without annoying anyone

freqish

the opening is very harsh, a little headachy imo for the first 10-20 minutes but after that it slowly becomes very different to something amazing.. super clean, fresh and soapy scent. i just picked up a 100ml tester for 20 euro!!!! batch code 00342 production date 2020-02-03.

EauDeBaldy

This thing is damn beautiful. The lavender is the king in this one BUT... it is a soft & beautiful...one that mixes well with the notes that, it isn't annoying.

There is a reason why the comments before me rave about it... it's a nice, soft, lavender one that literally anyone will like to love and can be worn at anytime.

Season wise, I'd go for the Spring, maybe summer.

By the way, don't let the fact that, it's light make you think that it won't last long... this thing lasts hours and hours on my skin.

Mlb1906

Delicious just delicious. I can’t wait to wear this all day tomorrow!

dilagrms

I love this scent on my boyfriend, it’s so refreshing

ktttheone

Why does nobody talk about this? It is phenomenal!! This was my wedding scent it was that good!! Women adore it, it just has class written all over it, and the Lavender in it is just to die for!

logan.ak

This is your rainy spring morning fragrance. It's been a while since I've tested this but I remember it being this shot of lavender. Will buy a full bottle eventually.

xanderbari

picked this up the other day, initial impressions are very positive. think soapy fresh out of the shower with a splash of peppermint, lavender and citrus. very refreshing, and due to the lavender, quite sophisticated and elegant. energising while also being classy and inoffensive. considering i got a heavily discounted price, im very happy with the purchase. i would probably not be as satisfied if i payed the full retail amount.

MarkoK87

Perfect fragrance, safe and inoffensive, best for spring and summer.

Gents-Scents

Oh boy, where do I start! This is a perfect, all-season, all-occasion panty-dropper fragrance. It is very unique to be honest, nothing on the market smells like this, soapy, clean, masculine lavender. It might deceive you thinking the longevity is moderate, but i still get whiffs of it at the end of 9 hours. Have gotten about 16 compliments in 3 days wearing this. Just go for it. It's a Modern day staple, especially if you live in warmer countries.

februarysfavourite

Luna Rossa it's a more exciting version of Dior Sauvage, it definitely doesn't last as long but the fragrance is less one dimensional. That being said, it's not something that will blow you away, it's a classic fresh soap fragrance that won't offend anyone, great for a daily application right out of the shower.

Guitar 2016

It's a nice scent, Elegant, Classy, Sensual and Light. If you like a Light fragrance, you will like it. Luna Rossa opens up with like fresh soapy citrusy then dry down is musky. It is perfect for the spring and summer. I like Luna Rossa Prada for Men.
Rating : 7.5 / 10

DirtyMandarin

The scent is soft and inviting. I have some fragrances where the lavender can be very harsh and this is everything but harsh. Smells absolutely delightful and longevity is good but there is no projection. I would only wear this at night after a shower for myself or at a workplace that doesn't allow fragrances because no one else will smell it.

baliszonyi

My favourite warm weather fragrance, hands down. Unique, understated but complex and smells of incredible quality (to me at least). Longevity is very good (around 6 hours) but it doesn't project heavily (no Prada fragrance does as far as I know). This is so easy to wear and it's very versatile too. The ambroxan here is blended well, it doesn't really bother me at all, because it does in many fragrances.

9/10 exceptional fragrance

Raoku

Prada Luna Rossa.

Underrated.

Not worn by many.

Complement machine.

It's a good buy. But test first though not for everyone.

SpectralScents

Super clean and has an effect like that of baby powder but for a full grown adult baby...you know? Its an innocent wearing kind of scent. Maybe suited best for church or Easter? Very inoffensive and worth the price at discounters!

Tj282

This one just does it for me. Soapy Lavender bomb with the perfect amount of spice. It’s very versatile - easy to dress up or down and inoffensive.

The only con - it’s easy to go anosmic to. It’s very BR540-esk in the way that those around you will smell it but you as the wearer may not. However, just when you thought it was gone you catch a whiff of your sillage... lurking like sexy soapy bodyguard.

One of my favorites! Hands down.

vitolezio

This one would be really good in a hot summer day
Nice clean fresh soap scent.
