Nice vanilla with a heavy powdery vibe, making this quite vintage to me. Definitely not something a younger person would normally wear. But overall it’s still a nice scent easily liked.

kerolos

To my nose there are similarities between Reve de Cashmere and Cuir Beluga.

They have a similar vanilla note but Reve de Cashmere is not as sweet and a lot more woody.

Performance is great. Worth the asking price but i got for less than 50% off.

Ok let me just start by saying that this doesn’t smell like Cuir béluga!! If I’ll give the similarities a percentage then it definitely won’t be more than a 10% similarity only in a very short period in the dry down.
rêve de cashmere is nice enough yet it’s nothing special. It’s easy to reach for as it is versatile, inoffensive and a comfortable scent. But unlike the rest of the line, I don’t see myself craving it.
I don’t know why the only option is a 125ml bottle as opposed to the regular 75ml bottle in most of the line. I wouldn’t mind buying a 125ml bottle of orchide vanille, orchide leather, ambre imperial, Bois doré or others from the rest of the line, in fact I would prefer it if they came in 125ml bottles! Surprisingly, rêve de cashmere is the one that comes in a bigger size! I don’t know based on what or why, but it would be better if reversed.
In my opinion rêve de cashmere isn’t that special to buy a big bottle of!

Това е прекрасно!!!
Мирише на скъп грим и пудра. Издържа около 6 часа върху моята кожа.

I had a review up that was a somewhat positive review, but, upon further wearing, I have changed my mind. I just can't get over how powdery this is. I'm cool with powder in Dior Homme Intense, but in here, it smells like a diaper. So I guess if you want to smell like a goth baby, this is it.

lmnsvgz

A unisex vanilla - I understand the comparisson with Cuir Beluga. Both have a dry, non-sweet airy vanilla that almost smells like vanilla rubbed on new leather.

Someone on twt said it smelt like Sukuna's choice of fragrance. It's honestly a scent I'm growing to love. SO unique, at first it smells like a leather couch, then the powdery vanilla dominates. Never smelt anything like it. Beautiful!

Erincess

I would say its like a luxury and mature version of the old perfume petits et mamans bvlgari, I absoltutely love it from the first met. If you are a fan of powdery scent you will surely love it so much as i do. At very very last only vanilla remains tho

piccolo3001

It really reminds two fragrances at once Guerlain Shalimar Philtre de perfum and a little bit of Chanel Le Lion! A little bit from the both worlds. Surprised no one mentioned how similar the notes of vanilla and leather almost the same quality as they are in Shalimar and Le lion, well in my mind. Everyone perceives fragrances differently, that’s how I smell it.
Reve de Cashmere is a very sweet, powdery from tonka bean with slight touch of heliotrope as well as a hint of bergamot smooth and suede like vanilla. It’s rich and delicious. Beautiful perfume but I don’t think it’s unique if that’s what you re looking for. It’s technically cheaper if you get on a discount website rather than Guerlain Cuir Béluga (most people compare to, but I never smelled it) very hard to find a good deal.

I was hoping for a bit more out of this one. Unfortunately, it's reading like some vintage powdery makeup (lipstick?) to my nose whether this is on skin or paper. There's something very aged/vintage about the scent profile -- but I hope with a lil time it'll get better... If not, I think I will return it for another offering from the house to try.

Please read this: I value my perfume collection very much, but some of the perfumes are missing the cap - so if you have emptied your perfume, I will be very happy and grateful if I can ask for your cap (size 75 ml)
Please send me a PM - Thank you.

Mike_suede

Milky, creamy sandalwood with vanilla that last for ages and projects. Probably best for layering as i'm not sure what occasion i would wear this on its own. I have a near full 125ml tester bottle for swaps in the uk if anyone is interested, beautiful scent but i just don't reach for it much.

KIZILBAY

I blind bought this as I couldn't find a sample in-store or reasonably priced online. I liked the notes and I generally enjoy the Collection Extraordinaire by Van Cleef & Arpels.

So, it's a nice and pleasant smell, soft and powdery. I don't see how anyone could NOT like it.

However, it's nice but not special. It's not especially memorable, and I don't see myself craving it in future.

So, to summarise, nice but nothing special! I will certainly be wearing it regularly.

It does come in a 125ml bottle, as opposed to the usual 75ml. I know it can seem pricey, but if you break it down to price per ml, it's actually pretty reasonable - except that you HAVE to buy it in a big size.

I think this leans feminine. I would love to smell it on a guy, but I'd probably find it a bit weird that he likes feminine perfume and hope that he would lend it to me someday!

StackMaintain

This has a strong baby powder presence, however the drydown is where this frag shines. Also longevity is extreamly good with at least 9hrs on my skin

faevert42

This is a truly luxurious, exceptionally well-blended powdery scent. This doesn't have any iris/orris root listed in the notes, but there is that vibe going on for sure, hence the Dior Homme comparisons. This leans more feminine to me. The leather note here is very quiet, and I would not call this a leather scent by any means. Pleasant, quiet and long-lasting. Very classy.

THE BLESSED

EXCEPTIONAL LUXURY SCENT WITH GREAT PERFORMANCE

[1] - THE OPENING REMIND ME:

- I found the opening of the fragrance reminds me of (Dior Homme Parfum) but with a lighter and less darker notes than (Dior Homme Parfum)

[2]- THE REASON OF WHY WE DON’T SMELL SOME NOTES:

- I did not notice any jasmine or bergamot notes in this perfume, and my interpretation about this issue that we talk about it all time
- That: perfumer or (the nose behind the notes) may use of some notes with complex compositions such as this perfume, in order to give strength and support to other notes by being present in the background of the main accords, and here lies the creativity of perfumer in achieving the desirable result at the end, so not all the notes added have a noticeable presence in the fragrance's aroma, from top to bottom.

[3] – THE DRY DOWN:

I find it became more attractive, with an airy scent and a very beautiful smell, which I sensed the cashmere leathery notes and and little bit of powdery note.

[4] - THE LONGEVITY :

I have tested the longevity, it's almost eternal, two days and I still smell the scent on the clothes that I was wearing,

[5] - OCCASIONS FOR WEARING:

- In my personal estimation, I find the attractiveness that characterizes the scent of this perfume, as it is closer to being for romantic occasions, it's unisex , the best preferred seasons are during the cold weather and night out moderate weather.
- You may wear it, when you are traveling or when you have to stay away from your home for a long period of time, definitely It will be great choice.

[6] RÊVE DE CASHMERE VS DIOR HOMME PARFUM:

- I have both in my current collection, and after I found the similarity between the (Rêve de Cashmere) and the perfume (Dium Homme Parfum).
- I found that (Rêve de Cashmere) is distinguished from (Dior Homme Parfum) lean more versatility than (Dior Homme Parfum).
- (Rêve de Cashmere) is airy, just what a charming trail you leave after you and attractive presence.
- (Rêve de Cashmere) stable than (Dior Homme Parfum) and I have tested its longevity by using alcohol, however I noticed the scent still on my skin, that means: its stability is very strong.
- If you are a big fan of leather perfumes, in this case, definitely this perfume will occupy the top of your favorite leather fragrances list.
- It is also very ideal as a gift if you want to impress someone close to you as luxuries gift.

So personally I prefer (Rêve de Cashmere) over (Doir Homme Parfum).

DRL

I bought 2 perfumes from the series :
Rêve de Cashmere and Rêve D'Encens.
Rêve de Cashmere:
A large and beautiful and heavy black box with gold inscriptions, beautiful bottle, looks expensive. It would be wonderful and impressive as a gift, but the scent is the worst of any other Van Cliff. At first I only notice a suffocating and synthetic / chemical smell of skin on my skin, I adore leathery fragrances(TF Tuscan leather, TF ombre leather), but I don't even like it in this perfume. Very light cashmere. After drying, only the aroma of sugar cane and vanilla remains, too sweet and intrusive. I miss the note of sandalwood, florals, citrus, etc. It stands close to the skin, does not project well. The longevity of my skin is 4+ (dry to normal skin type)
This is the result of the test at:
-air temperature 30 ° C and 52% humidity - summer afternoon. Poor performance as a fragrance and as durability.
-air temperature 19 ° C and 67% humidity - summer morning.Slightly better performance as a fragrance and as a durability. I smell musk, a warm amber scent.
Geographical region in Europe - Balkan Peninsula. Country Bulgaria(It was established in 632 and is called Old Great Bulgaria. Since 681 it has been renamed the First Bulgarian State. (Bulgaria has a 1389-year history) The Russian people received their writing and Slavic literature from Bulgaria.
I will try it again in winter, cold weather, I think it will work better there and I will announce the result.

I REALLLLY LOVE THIS SCENT.
THIS SCENT IS ELEGANT AND SEXY.
IF YOU GUYS WANNA LOOK HOLY NICE TO SOMEONE, YOU SHOULD WEAR THIS. IT WILL MAKE YOU MOST ATTRACTIVE PRRSON. R.E.A.L.L.Y. I STLONGLY RECOMMEND IT.

진짜 존나 존존나 짱 좋아요 진짜 미쳤어 나 환장해 진짜로

Ymsk

I tried it at Sephora once and fell in love with it. Bought a 125ml from ebay for $150. My favourite winter fragrance out of the 3 I purchased this month, the other 2 being D&G Velvet Desert Oud and TF Oud Wood. The sillage and projection are enormous on my skin. Can't stop smelling my wrists keep getting whiffs even after 6+ hours.

Houdini4

Nothing from this line has blown me away, but again it’s a nicely constructed fragrance of real quality and substance but no wow factor at all. Rêve de cashmere starts out in a very minimalist way, the opening notes, milky, creamy and washed out with vanilla. However the accord starts to build and you get the warm cahmerean the vanilla and sandalwood creeping up on you in a slight but in the end very good performing fragrance. The over all feel is one of a delicate leather with some resinous, balmy qualities too. Very nice indeed but lacking that one note, or little spark and pop of spice or something unexpected to bring it all together and inject some life into the perfume. Otherwise solid and some of my favourites from the line.

GRAF

This is my first impression for VC&A Reve d'Encens from the premioum line of VC&A. It's not at the database.

This is slightly better than Van Cleef & Arpels Rêve de Cashmere a true unisex oriental scent full with spices (beautiful incense), floral (beautiful and thick oriental red rose) slightly semi-gourmand (saffron), safe and versatile for mild weather (spring-fall-summer and early winter, day and night). The only minus is the common (not really a minus..) but pleasant smell. Reve de Cashmere has a more uncommon smell imo.

Dominant notes are saffron, which gives to the blend slightly a semi-gourmand vibe, beautiful smoky rose, the churchy incense is very well blended with the thick red rose, intensive but creamy sandalwood and at the late dry down, a beautiful sensual white musk. Overall it feels very oriental and very pleasant. It you like ssffron/incense/rose combo on a woody base give it a try.

This is good and long lasting fragrance with high-moderate sillage and projection. I'll try it again because it might worth a fb. It retails here 460 usd per 125 ml.

GRAF

This is the best creation from VC&A house imo. A super-smooth and masterfully blended, soft but long lasting with rich body, pleasant and safe, with great versatility unisex scent. Suitable for year round use, day and night, except extreme temperatures.

Dominant notes are cashmirwood (tones of it at the opening and the first stage of its evollution) and leather. There is also intensive sandalwood, mild musk, mild patchouli, noticeable heliotrope. Vanilla has only aroma and not sweetness. Although there is a faint sub-sweet vibe in the blend. As time passes the leather bocomes the leader. This makes it unisex IMO.

Overall it feels velvety elegant and classy but it's not something new. It is long lasting with moderate/average sillage. If you love leather and cashmirwood give it a try.

Update

OK, I don't feel confortably wearing it. Longevity is awesome, sillage/projection are good but it feels strange. Very pleasant smell but I think it would fit better on a woman. The opening leans to feminine scents. The midfle stage is totally unisex because there is a smooth & dominant leather note. And the late drydown feels again like woman's cosmetics or the pleasant smell that my Lego toys used to have. In fact it's very close to that smell.

Verdict. I love it, it has everything, good smell, nice performance, but it's not for me. Some day in future I may buy it but for now it's a no for me.

MysticRose

The initial spray is ever-so mesmerising: a decadent elixir consisting of cashmere, cardamom (to my nose), tonka and vanilla. I was in HEAVEN. 20 minutes later, however, the scent evolved into a rather dull and headache inducing aroma consisting of tonka, vanilla, iris (to my nose) and patchouli. I wish the opening phase persisted because I would have bought it on the spot. The bottle is very beautiful though! Longevity is good, >6 hours on my skin.

Perfume Beginners

It is a warm and excellent fragrance which smells so good on my skin. To me it smells a bit like precious oud but maybe it's just a delusion since I smelt so many fragrances before smelling it. Besides I just tried it once quite a period ago so it may not be so accurate at all. Nevertheless, I can still remember the stunning moment it gave me and the warmness of cashmere it creates when I smelt it. I will definitely get one for winter.

01/01/2021 Update: I am more educated in fragrance after smelling hundreds and hundreds of scents in the past few years. It is still one of my favourites and definitely a 10/10. It is so unique that I can't find any perfume similar to it. The notes are well-blended so you can't really distinguish them but cashmirwood is dominant and it provides the soft and smooth feeling to the scent. Vanilla and sandalwood create the warm cozy creamy base while heliotrope creates the "fresh" top. It is not the citrus or aquatic kind of fresh but one that is difficult to describe. The scent does not develop throughout time so what you smell at first sniff is almost what you get at the end. I cannot catch any leather in it. Besides, it is not similar to Precious Oud in any aspect. The scent is simply divine and I finally get a bottle not long ago. The sillage is moderate and longevity is about 6 hours. It lasts longer on my clothes though. I can still smell it two days later when I put on my coat. This perfume is a hidden gem and I seldom hear people talking about it. Many focus on Orchidee Vanille or Moonlight Patchouli but others in the same line are quite good as well.

Jagbier

It's selective perfume given a strong and powdery smells
