Mon Paris by Yves Saint Laurent is a Chypre Fruity fragrance for women. Mon Paris was launched in 2016. Mon Paris was created by Olivier Cresp, Harry Fremont and Dora Baghriche. Top notes are Strawberry, Raspberry, Pear, Orange, Tangerine, Calabrian bergamot and Calone; middle notes are Peony, Jasmine Sambac, Chinese Jasmine, Datura and Orange Blossom; base notes are Indonesian Patchouli Leaf, Patchouli, White Musk, Vanila, Ambroxan, Moss and Cedar.

YSL is launching the new Paris-inspired line called Mon Paris, coming out mid-2016. Mon Paris is announced as a dazzling fragrance that represents a modern olfactory interpretation of love, free from all the obstacles, dedicated and intense.

The composition has a fruity start, intoxicating floral heart and a dark chypre base. It opens with a juicy and sweet blend of Calabria bergamot, strawberry, raspberry and pear. The heart is dominated by datura flower accompanied by a bouquet of peony, Chinese and Sambac jasmine and orange blossom. Airy crystal white musk (three types of it), ambroxan and an intense patchouli duo (from Indonesian and Guatemala) provide the provocative classic chypre signature base.

The campaign shot by French film direction duo Clément Durou and Pierre Dupaquier features Canadian model Crista Cober and French actor Jérémie Laheurte shown together in various parts of Paris, including a club, the Metro, near the Eiffel Tower and on the Opéra Garnier’s roof, during both day and night. The still ad was photographed by Billy Kidd.

YSL Mon Paris is available as a 30, 50 and 90 ml Eau de Parfum.

Anyone has this perfume and would like to swap for Kayali citrus US based?

WitchQueen

Got a free sample from Sephora. Opening was unoriginal but alright sweet pear, then in the dry down it smelled like pennies.

Kjojoba

Extremely offensive. Very strong, VERY patchouli heavy. I smell none of the fruit notes, only the musk and patchouli. The scent is very long lasting but also gave me a headache.

armanid

patchouli heavy.

berrymilktea

My baby. My first designer perfume I saved up and bought for myself in 2020.
Strong raspberry, strawberry and patchouli. I love it. It stays on my clothes even after multiple washes and sillage is incredible on my skin chem. I wear this year round, but mostly for nights out.
Activities: Date night, clubbing
Signs: Aries, Leo and Taurus

This smells identical to The Righteous Butter by Soap and Glory. Like 100% identical. Trust me, that smell is tattooed onto my nose. I used to wear that lotion in my freshman year of college and upon smelling Mon Paris.. I was instantly transported to the horrible memories of an unfulfilling relationship and daily existential crises. Had I smelled this 3 years ago, I would've felt sick because of the connotation but because enough time has passed.. I actually quite enjoy the smell.

It's a beautiful fruity floral smell. However, for the price point.... I'd just buy the Soap and Glory body butter since its projects so much for so long. Seriously, I've never smelled a body lotion that is that powerful ever.

Since this ended up being more of a review for the Soap and Glory lotion instead of Mon Paris.. I'll just say this... Pretty smell, ugly price. $90 for a 1 ml bottle just seems a little too much for something that smells like Bath and Body Works.

Bombshellaroma

I love this perfume! It’s sweet, but more complex. After I had kids it has become too strong for my taste. It may be the patchouli, but I do like the patchouli. I now only wear it during the winter, one spray!

Juliannajames

This is the perfume i get the most compliments wearing. Very fruity and sweet. If I spray too much I do get a headache though

luna96

I like this!!

I first recieved her as a mini from a perfume sampler and found myself gravitating towards it alot - it’s nice no frills/ easy throw on. It’s versatile enough to layer with other scents/ body sprays.
I have the 1oz :)

At first spray I get raspberry / strawberry / jasmine and in the dry down it settles into the musk, vanilla and patchouli.

If you like fruity scents, and aren’t bothered by a woody / musky / patchouli dry down with just a hint of fruity vanilla.

Lasting time is OK, about 4-6 hours but she does even better when layered!

SlavicPrincess7

I got a free sample inside a Sephora order yesterday and was SO excited about this one. I was sure it was going to be a home run for me. Unfortunately that was not the case. The opening was the best part for me. I loved the burst of strawberry, raspberry, pear and peony...not sure if I got the other notes.. After about 30 minutes it was already a skin scent - mind you, I sprayed both my insides of my elbows, wrists, neck AND had already applied neutral body lotion on my skin to make perfume stay longer - so I was very disappointed. I wore it all day long, and like I said, those 30 minutes went by FAST. Definitely not worth the price at ALL. So sad because the top notes were lovely but... for a skin scent, I'll stay with my much more affordable Victoria's Secret and Bath and Body Works body mists if that is the effect I want.

LEM922

This smells better than I remember it smelling last time I sniffed it. I get more strawberry this time, as opposed to patchouli that I got last time. This was my old roommates signature scent back in 2017-2018… I feel like they may have reformulated it since then. I have a newfound appreciation for this now, maybe as my sense of smell has matured over the past 6 or 7 years. It doesn’t smell completely different though.. it still reminds me of her. Pleasantly surprised by this, glad I gave it another sniff!

KerriZ

Pretty, fizzy, fruity, affordable but short lived -- about 30 minutes.

antfarm

Mon Paris is all about the berries and patchouli, but in a way that smells a cut above most other fruitchouli perfumes on the market due to the additions of calone and white musk that skew it clean, and from the oakmoss making it almost Stevie Nicks in the forest-ish. I'd say on my skin, this is about 75% sophisticated, refined patchouli note on me, and it's anisic and addictive. Sometimes it's very earthy and rooty (it smells almost like spikenard oil at times), but it does smell smooth and "perfumey" at the same time. I can also smell the berries and peony blending really well with the patchouli. This perfume is not sweet on me. It portrays modern chypre with a slightly innocent and playful edge--the woody green notes steal the show; any florals or berries are just singing back-up. It lasts a long time and is present without being overpowering. Really impressed, and something I've been wanting without knowing such a perfume existed.

Update: I purchased a bottle, and I did not like it as much as the tester I tried in the store. The one I bought had almost clear liquid (as opposed to the light purple-pink of the tester in the shop) and smelled like syrupy raspberries and very strong pepper. It was definitely Mon Paris EDP with the same black bow, but it just did not smell the same. I wonder if it has been reformulated recently. Or maybe it's one of those perfumes that smells better with age.

heartbeam

This smells exactly how what my favorite honey tastes. Fruity, sweet, ooey-gooey-sticky honey that isn’t cloying or nauseating to me (which is rare); the perfect blend of sweet and fruity! I honestly don’t know what patchouli is supposed to smell like on its own, but this perfume is apparently heavy on it. I don’t seem to mind it so I’ll happily live in ignorant bliss! Although I sing its praises, I don’t think it’s an everyday perfume for me i.e. I only like to wear it on nights out.

adriennb

This was one of my first designer perfumes, I think I got it when I was about 17 and I used to love it a lot, it was my signature scent. It's a very pretty girly fragrance and a cute bottle. I didn't repurchase it though because I started experimenting with other fragrances. I would probably still wear it but I want another bottle mostly just for the sentimental value it holds for me.

sononswife

Sexy smelling perfume. Sweet but not in a juvenile way. An office friendly perfume. On my skin it was long lasting with moderate projection. Used to be my signature fragrance. I think this would still be my signature if a person I dated hadn't smashed my bottle of mon paris to try and get a reaction out of me. It worked because I was devastated. Unfortunately I associate that memory with the mon paris scent now. So warning, you will love this perfume and you will be very sad if anything happened to your bottle!

maheen.i

have an old version of this from my mom and it's gone from pink to yellow, not sure how that affects the smell bu tit's so girly! absolutely love it <3

malake

it's elegant, i can really smell the citrus, it's not really my style though

mea194

I was so excited to try this perfume because it was shipped to me as a free sample alongside another one I bought. I went in totally not knowing what to expect! When first spraying this scent I was hit with a beautiful fruity floral that reminded me very much of a perfume I am really into right now called “Strawberry Letter” by Phlur. I would say it is like the more mature sophisticated and less playful older sister. The strawberry is very apparent along with jasmine, peony, orange blossom and a vanilla/patchouli base. However it has a sharpness from the alcohol that tends to linger and take some time to dry down. I think the patchouli base can also be a turnoff and be too strong for some as a lingering scent. For me I like it but I am not sure yet if this is whole bottle worth it!

anachronism

This perfume is elegant & cute! I like this perfume a lot. Its a syrupy yet soda like fruity perfume
Pros - sweet, perfect balance between floral & fruity, overall such a serious yet youthful fragrance.
Con(s) - the patchouli & oakmoss note.. it makes me smell like wet grass after about 5h..
All and all this perfume is definitely for a business woman or that smart girl in class.
It's not a love but a really like. Overall 8/10 (without the earthy grass notes 10/10)

Alloura

I thought the opening was amazing because it had the most grown up strawberry and fruit scent I'd ever smelled. Fast forward to the dry down.... YUCK! The sweet smells disappear quickly and all I'm left with is oak moss and patchouli. It smells like something an older woman of wealth would wear. I can smell the floral aspect, but the earthiness overpowers it. This smells like the younger grandma that's been shopping at Macy's all afternoon who's not quite old enough to carry peppermint hard candies in her purse, but too old to know how to order anything from Starbucks.

Dea510

Loved in the store, but it doesn’t last on me. Bath and body work mist last longer than this . Bummed.

Luthien999

Youthful and bright scent. Feminine and fruity. Day- time and perfect for Spring.

jessyux3

Sweet syrupy floral. Strawberry, razzberry, jasmine, patchouli. Very feminine. Very girly. Too much so for me but I can see how other people like this. Initial spray smells like fruit roll ups and the dry down is where more of the jasmine and florals come out to balance it. Typically syrupy smells give me headaches but this does not. Just does not fit my aesthetic but it is nice.

Mhka2004

at first I didn't like it and now I just like wearing it but not all the time.

Aquapinkmoon

Reminds me strongly of a moscato! Moscato is a super sweet, easy to drink, white or pink wine and if moscato was a perfume it would be ysl mon paris. This perfume is so fizzy and fruity, it’s refreshing and very girly, and so so pretty. I definitely get that sweet strawberry, fruits and orange blossom, there’s a slight depth possibly from the jasmine and vanilla and overall I could 100% see this being a signature scent. Suits all seasons and occasions imo, I’d wear this for a brunch, shopping, bubbly with the girls, a night out, a winters day, everywhere! Super flirty and pretty, absolutely love it and the bottle with the light purple juice is so fitting, 9/10

Edit: drys down to a vanilla and berries scent

sweetlolly333

This is the most perfume that got me compliments wearing it especially from girls when hugging me, however the silage and longevity are horrible. I remember loving it sooo much when I bought it but now it feels rather boring and generic even though I still like the scent.

Anarig97

I agree with one of my fellow reviewers that this perfume would fit in so well on the streets of Paris. I have never even been to Paris but I'm vacationing there in May and I want to buy a bottle JUST for my trip. However, less is definitely best with this perfume. I can only imagine how potent an intense version of this would be. I initally only sprayed it on the pulse points of my wrist and the ditches of my elbows and knees and that was a good amount. However, once I started spraying it all over my clothes, I started reacting to it. Even though the initial spray is overwhelming, the longevity of this perfume is no where near as good as Libre on me. It was only 4 hours later and I could barely smell it anymore on my skin. Overall, I like this perfume but it seems very much like it has a time and a place (i.e. Paris).

†♡

very fruity scent, i can mostly smell raspberries and patchouli. its sooo elegant ! i picture a businesswoman wearing it idk why, the scent is serious lol

KristenRoche

Smells more like an Avon perfume than YSL. In fact, I’ve smelled many Avon perfumes that were more pleasant. This is the kind of scent that would come to mind if you described someone reeking of headache-inducing perfume. I don’t get the sweetness at all. To my nose, it’s all harsh white florals and patchouli.

betheljaviles

Straight patchouli syruppy bomb. Gagged upon spraying.

SongNSalt

I love the scent itself, it's just that on my skin it doesn't last, so for now it will get a "like".

I have also tried the intense version, but that doesn't work any better for me. Scent wise, that one is an indulgent "ok" and I could barely smell it, but I blame that on the weird spraying mechanism of the sample.

I will retry both in the future, there is something there that's worth pursuing.

PhantomBelle

I got the 1oz of this and it really was a gateway into the fruity/floral realm for me. It really works nice with my skin, I love getting whifs of it during the day. Very pleasant mix with the top notes, florals and the patchouli base keeping it all from being too sweet. Very well balanced, I find it to be an uplifting & fun scent. I will get a bigger bottle of this, for sure.

Beautiful scent with equally pretty packaging. Love it! Purchased from: Sephora

vonevol

I got lured by the bottle, that for sure. I got a tested, I liked it. I got myself a mini bottle, it was a part of a set with 3 different Mon Paris scents. I can't phatom what happened but it has to go. I can't smell it. It's a cloying mess. I need it to be gone out of my house. It's a matter of honour.

Mags322

I’ve had this before and gave it away to my daughter. I’ve decided to give it another try. I’m undecided. Still. After wearing it for a wee while then I’ll know for sure. 🧐

perfumekiwifigorange

Sparkling raspberry. I so wanted to love this perfume but it just did very little for me. It wore off quickly, limited silage and no longevity. Couldn't pick up the patchouli. On me it was tweeny bopper raspberry. Reminded me of a body spray sadly.

cadencebc

I first saw this on the dressing-table of my very glamorous cousin, and was quite taken with the bottle. This seems to be a divisive scent, but for me it's a new favourite. Certainly it is quite safe in its notes and maybe its composition lacks adventure, but I think it's very nicely done. Think of a grown-up Pink Sugar, or Cloud with a bit more bite to it. It's sweet and slightly soapy, with a delicious fruity tang that's nicely balanced out by the musky floral and hint of patchouli. I find that it lasts well and projects moderately without being overpowering. Girlish, coquette, classic. I'm a fan.

swansong444

during the first few days that i owned this it was literally a patchouli bomb, but once you get past that this becomes a gorgeous fragrance, very fruity and sweet. y’all just need to let it sit and give it time. pls don’t overspray because it is very strong lol. love the bottle, too!

london.alaine

this is a delicious fruity sweet perfume. the freshness from the florals make it so it isn’t sickly sweet and suitable for daytime wear IMO. i honestly LOVE how this smells and warms up on the skin. i do wish it was more powerful- while the longevity of it is actually pretty good (especially on clothes!) i don’t think it has a strong projection at all. you can only really smell it on me from a hug. i would love it even more if it had a bit stronger of a sillage, esp for the $. that being said, it’s definitely not offensive or overpowering which could be a plus for many

oxychan

the one perfume that has genuinely made multiple people stop to ask what smells so good, i get compliments every time i wear it. if it didn’t have the patchouli note it would be my signature scent but i still like it either way :)

Heathermarie8617

I would have loved this 20 years ago. This is very sweet and fruity which I can sometimes get on board with, however in Mon Paris it's a bit too much for me. It's not bad...it just smells too much like how fake fruits in candy taste (if that makes sense).

manuelafaria

Very fruity! I absolutely love the red berries notes but the pear and citrus do come through as well. It’s sweet but not overly so, the freshness makes it very balanced. Although i can only smell the orange blossom, i really enjoy the idea of a datura note and having such a dangerous flower amidst a charming girly perfume. And as someone who also loves fashion, it really does fit the YSL brand.

jadepo21

I get none of the sweetness that others mention and only get a heavy floral and musk bomb that leaves me with a headache. I used to enjoy this but have not used it in a while so I wonder if my bottle has aged poorly. In any case, I find it unwearable now.

glitterpens

I sprayed this perfume on one wrist in Sephora and it had a HUGE impact, a cloud of fruity sweetness followed me and my boyfriend had to walk a few feet away from me to stave off a headache. I scrubbed my arm several times in the bathroom with soap and water for his sake but it refused to let go of me.

Smells sweet, almost sickeningly so on my skin but after a few hours and washes off, actually smelled quite delightful. I didn’t understand what sillage and projection really met until I tried this perfume. One spray on one wrist and it was suddenly everyone else’s problem too.

While it isn’t for me, I can definitely see the appeal it’s in playful sweetness and INCREDIBLE projection and last. It’s almost aggressive in its imposition on the surrounding environment.

EvaNicoleFragrance

If you don’t love patchouli, skip this.

This is a sugary sweet Stevia-esque patchouli bomb with a touch of strawberry punch. I love it, but I understand why many don’t. The nice thing about it is that the wearer experience is different from those around the wearer. In the air, this is a sweet fruity floral with some depth and class. Nose to skin the patchouli is much louder.

Still, skip this if you don’t absolutely love patchouli, you will not get around it in this scent, and no matter how many compliments you get, you will not enjoy the wear.

Mooluna

A child would love but you shouldnt too sticky too sweet too fruity cringe and clingy

terezzz

Smells lovely in the bottle, awful on my skin. Initial spray is strawberry + champagne but his lasts for about 5 minutes. It them jumps straight to the dry-down which turns into a dirty musk smell. This by far has the worst musk I have ever smelled, for the rest of the day I smell like sour strawberry and dirty sweat. I really don't understand how it smells good on others since it smells SO foul on me :(

Oxidia

If you want to smell like children's cough syrup, go for this.

primadoll

Got this cause of the bottle and the notes sounded nice to me and its wonyoungs fav perfume. But… it’s awful you’ve def smelled this on a million people if you live in Europe. TOO MUCH fruit at the top, it does not mix well 😭 too much contrast. It’s like the smell is buzzing/glitching. It’s brash and not rounded at all, it’s trying so hard to be it-girl but she needs some grounding, an ego death is what it needs. It’s long lasting tho!

K8lo

Way too heavy on the patchouli. I could not stand this fragrance, but I understand everyone's nose and chemistry is different. Headache inducing for me.

Mshapiro2115

Another blind purchase. This was a step out of my comfort zone as 95% of my perfume collection has vanilla DNA in there somewhere. Mon Paris lists vanilla as a note but i really can only catch a very small scent of vanilla. This leans very fruity and warm on my skin. The bottle is beautiful and it does last a good 4-5 hours on skin. Days on clothes. More of a summer scent in my opinion but could work year round. Full bottle worthy in my opinion.

Elfin Will

Ugh.. Every time I re-test it I remember why I hate it so much. It's waaaayy too sweet, fruity and floral. And in a sharp way. The base notes are not helping either. Synthetic mess and heady fragrance. It's the only YSL fragrance that I dislike. I even disliked the patchouli in it, though I'm a big fan of patchouli. It's a big No for me.. I'm sorry, I'm really unable to get along with that one.. though I gave it multiple chances. Maybe my nose is too sensitive.

3/10

Tarabellexo

I really didn't care for this one much upon first try. It was rather boring and smelled like grapefruit, similar to how I feel about Ruby Orchid. The grapefruit just ruins Flowerbomb for me. So anyway, I let the sample sit for a while and damn. I really see why this is popular. The bottle is so adorable, probably tacky to some, but I love big tacky bows. I love this now trying it during colder months instead of a couple of summers ago when I first opened it. Letting it sit for a while did her a lot of favors. It reminds me of the sun being out, happiness, youth, and sexy confidence. It made my seasonal depression disappear for a little bit. I'm instantly hit with syrupy, jammy fruit, but not in a sickeningly way. More like fresh, homemade strawberry jam. There is a lovely tangy, citrus punch sitting next to the jammy strawberries. Veryyy fruity but has a nice balance from delicate florals and patchouli. I am biased here because I love fruitchoulis, but the patchouli is very tame on my skin. I'm shocked to see it turning into a patch bomb for others. It took a while for the patchouli to creep up on me. A fruity gourmand without being too much, lush and drinkable, youthful but grown and sexy. Anyone who hates sugary fragrances, beware. I want to eat my arm off. I'm loving the sweet but dark forest fruit vibe, like a Goth Tinkerbell. Parisienne is my favorite from YSL, but I definitely have my eye on Ms. Mon Paris.

LEM922

Way too much patchouli to ever be considered wearable IMO. It’s so overpowering, you can barely smell anything else besides a sweet fruity nuance. The fruitchouli to end all fruitchoulis. Too strong and sickly for me.

yelrog

I bought this last year because I had read this was supposed to be the replacement line for YSL Parisienne (one of my favorite perfumes ever). I can kind of see what they were trying to do, but they missed. Big time. The only aspect of Mon Paris that could possibly be related to Parisienne is the overwhelming artificiality of it. Where Parisienne got it right, Mon Paris gets it wrong. Parisienne is supposed to smell synthetic, with the vinyl notes and powdery notes. Mon Paris doesn't have those notes, so why does it smell so damn fake?
The woods are overwhelming. There's too much going on here. I got an instant migraine from this one, and I literally had to take a shower to get it off me. I wanted to run away from it SO BAD. Something about the notes in this one don't work well together. It's like it's fighting itself in some kind of midlife crisis. Perfect scent for someone who has no sense of identity.
YSL should've continued with the Parisienne line, and left Mon Paris where it came from (hell). I've never smelled something so confusing, screechy, loud, and offensive. It smelled okay in the bottle, but when she comes out to play, it's like being sucked into the weirdest mind game ever.

angechante

It's a reason why I've almost exhausted my full bottle within 2 years! One of my first perfumes and I'm sure to rebuy when I'm out, shes sweet and floral but it isn't nauseating, that tart and juicy raspberry projects a lot on my skin and it smells divine! I'm hoping to get the intensement as I've heard the raspberry is even stronger.

Lemisha

It smells great for 5 mins then grassy like Alien aura or spring fresh cut grass. This is the only ysl perfume I really dislike on my skin.

MareaCamacho

I cant wear this unless I layer it with something else

So far I tried
1 spritz of mon paris edp + 2 spritz of ch good girl blush. Peony and citrus go hand in hand. I really like it.

And I tried
3 spritz of mon paris edp + 5 spritz of burberry her edp
They both have strawberry, raspberry, mandarin orange, musk, and patchouli but this blend smells really good to me. 2 scents that I have trouble wearing by themselves came together and made something I can enjoy throughout the top, heart, and base notes.

Definitely recommend if you have these scents on hand to try if you have problems wearing mon paris alone

DreamUpir

Smells like a wine cooler

Deianera

Got this as a Christmas present from my partner as he really liked it. I'm not a big fan of the green fruity grassy-ish opening but the dry down is beautiful on my skin, first it turns into raspberry with vanilla, even later it turns into a soft patchouli with musk and the lingering vanilla. I'll keep it as my partner loves this so much and it's an ideal scent for spring, summer and holidays/city trips to me. Reminds me of midi floral dresses, puppy dogs, afternoon tea and walks in the park.

Perfumecrazycatlady

Oh I so wanted to love this. I smelled it at the store and l liked how it smelled, so I got it. Initially I get the sweet fruity notes that I liked and the patchouli was just enough to give it a little sour kick. I thought! After a while the fruity notes fade into the background and I’m hit with strong patchouli which I’m totally not a fan of. Once in a while I smell the berry notes and I think I love this perfume but no, the patchouli gets in the way and ruins it. It’s just a strong patchouli scent. Also it has a strong projection, which if you love the perfume is great.

Gemsense

Upon first spray this smells amazing!!! But about twenty minutes in it switches up… I can’t believe something so sweet and yummy turned into such a strong green grass swamp thing! Eew! Smells like swamp, weeds, grass, ladybugs, soil, with roses wafting in the wind. Not what I was expecting at all!

mugatupotamus

I love this perfume in the bottle and on a tester strip, but it smells so sickly artificial on my skin that I had to take it off my want list. The raspberry comes in super strong, followed by overripe strawberries and then some other pear and sweet scents. Definitely a perfume for a younger person (late teens to mid-twenties).

This one radiates a few feet away from the body, which is great if you like smelling yourself constantly. This one is just too synthetic for me to enjoy.

shuuush777

What I smell: raspberry preserve, pear extract, strawberry air freshener, overly sweet macarons

Association: a girl's first perfume, what I imagine Hello Kitty would smell like

Overall opinion: very synthetic - not necessarily a bad thing, just smells more like a recreation of the notes rather than the notes themselves. Not a clear scent story and everything kind of mashes together into an undistinguishable sweet scent. Smells kind of cheap.

DidaD

Sweet and fruity, that's exactly what it radiates! I like it

J0Vaughn

The scent profile is nothing more than a big math problem where numbers or in this case notes cancel each other out. First you have raspberry and strawberry which alone can smell artificial but it gets worse as the pear note added even more sweetness without a distinct fruit DNA. That said, this is a loud, annoyingly sweet and pungent undertone scent. There are supposed to be orange and tangerine notes but they never paired with the orange blossom and were completely cancelled out of the dry down which transitioned right to the patchouli note.

Patchouli is a love hate note as it can drown a scent and put a funky body odor twang on the end of your fragrance. This note is so strong that it completely erased all traces of the 2 different jasmine notes that I assumed canceled each other out just like the other duplicates did.

Nothing gelled, nothing was distinguishing, everything was competing as if resembling a teen grabbing 5 different amazing fragrances and spraying them all at once. The fragrance never mellowed or settled and I couldn’t wash it off. I took two showers and it wouldn’t budge. As a midst in the air it was slightly better but do not spray on clothes or directly to hot spots or moisturized areas. Some people like to suffocate walk ways and create a path of fumes. If this is you buy and spray twice for 24hrs of nostril hijacking to all around you.

Hellomoto1!

The smell is overly fruity and sweet, nothing classy or Elegant about this fragrance. It’s nauseating and cheap. It gives fruity escada perfumes 2000’s era.

amaramarie0208

From looking at the scent profile, you can tell right off the bat that this is one hell of a gourmand fragrance. Personally, Mon Paris is verging on too sweet and too sour, I just don't like it. It's like the smell after you've sucked on an artificial strawberry lollipop mixed with those old 2000s Victoria Secret body mists. For YSL, it comes off as awfully cheap, unsophisticated, and to me, an utter waste of money.

terineu

I don’t understand the hype. It smells like strawberry nail polish remover or hair spray to me.

Vmich

If the opening fruity notes had been the perfume, I think I could have loved this, but unfortunately the top nots all but disappear for a typical flower/powdery/musk scent that you could get anywhere. It might also be the strong patchouli presence I get from it, with the slight echo of the deliciously fresh and aquatic fruity opening it had. It’s sad that the dry down ended up making it smell like basically any other basic perfume out there- reminds me of the ones my grandma had.

It’s just ok. Only the first few second of this perfume is unique. It’s truly inoffensive and neutral.

Pr3ttyyrickyy

Omg this is a Beautiful fragrance. It was love at first sniff, I immediately have to get a bottle. Living off a 12 pack of samples. It's fruity and musky and wonderful!

joliecat

Mon Paris EDP is a beautiful mature fruitchouli that can be worn anywhere, any season, any time, day or night. It's a strong, super long lasting crowd pleaser. The fruits blend seamlessly with the flowers for a sweet feminine mix. There's nothing sharp, sour or tart here. Smooth patchouli wrapped in soft dense musk grounds the fruits to keep from becoming syrupy. Moss translates on skin as earthy and sexy. I LOVE this full bodied, rich, delicious, totally feminine perfume. It will be a staple in my wardrobe forever.

touma1995

One of my favourite summer perfumes ! Truly one of a kind, I can smell it on other people and guess it right away. So unique but so fresh and fruity. Doesn’t smell juvenile though. Highly recommend

toosimilar

In the air it feels like Coco Noir, i swear!
maybe just sweeter and thicker!
i loved this one, gonna give it a try :)

MKred

I had a sample and sprayed on my wrist. The patchouli and cedar pull very heavy on my skin. It lasted over 10 hours. Too heavy for me. A beast fragrance if you can handle the dry down.

strawberrymochi

wow. i love this! its very fruity with some floral to balance out the sweetness. i love strawberries so naturally i loved this. i didnt spray it on my skin but i did spray it on a paper and it smells fabulous. keep in mind that this is a more winter and spring scent as it may be too heavy for hot summers and its not very fallesque. lovely bottle

chiaraherself

This was super green to my nose for some reason. Too green.

momooh

I used to use Gucci Envy Me but it discontinued. Used up my last bottle I had and was looking for something different.
This is sweeter than that but I settled with this after testing too many different of perfumes on my skin.
Sweet but not too sweet, lovely floral scent, and it last very very long time. I put it on me when I go to work, and still can smell in my hair after 10hrs of working in the kitchen.

AUyliong

I just got a sample. Initial impression after first spray is that it smells like a women's shampoo here in the Philippines. I just can't remember if the brand in my mind is Sunsilk or Palmolive.

Unfortunately I'm still recovering from an allergy outbreak and immediately went anosmic after that first whiff.

UPDATE: Tried it again after recovering days later. Starts off like women's shampoo as I said but after drying on skin a very indolic jasmine takes over. The shampoo scent has receded into the background.

An hour in, the indolic scent of the white florals have calmed down but it smells a little like urine to my nose. The whole composition have become a skin scent as well.

2 hrs in, now it's just the original J'adore from 1999 right down to the indolic, piss-like jasmine. No change.

It remains this way for the rest of its duration until it fades away.

Caseywasey347

I sampled this in store and all this smells of to me is sour pears and wine or apple juice, can’t smell the strawberry or raspberry or anything else which is a real shame :((

daliladreamer

I feel totally Paris present here... Autumn.... Movie Amalie... Life is inspiring and lovely and makes me wanna dance... I feel strawberry, raspberry, orange blossom mmm happiness...

disintigratedwoman

I was really excited to try this scent as I’m a big fan of berry-forward scents (think Lancôme’s Midnight Rose). However this one left me pretty disappointed. All I got was a muted berry opening, which quickly turned into a generic aquatic/freshie type smell (which is odd since it doesn’t have any aquatic notes listed).

It truly smells basic - like something you’d find in a typical B&BW spray, or Victoria Secret. Absolutely not worth the high price tag.

On the plus side, Mon Paris is extremely long lasting - it’s been 5 hours and I can smell it as clearly on my write as when I first sprayed it.

Mia80

As a Libre fan, I tried it but the flowers overwhelm it and nothing else comes out of it on my hand. Sad. Have to re-sell it.

fragrantO

its apple juice.

Pinkmilktea85

I've only worn this during the summer heat which is fine but sometimes it's cloying/headache inducing. But now I realize that this perfume performs best in cold weather!! Now that it's fall, it's just so much easier to wear, it smells so pretty and elegant.

Bhavnalovesscents

My old faithful, I keep going back to this scent. There is nothing quite like it. It’s so beautiful, intense and smells amazing. Definitely a compliment magnet. Very long-lasting and and my favourite date night scent. The juice is flirty, pretty and extremely gorgeous. Love it 💕 and i will keep repurchasing it 🥰

MadameMerola

Another highly sweet smelling perfume. Nothing wrong with it. I have too many of this type of scents and I am no longer excited about them because they tend to give off the same vibe. I received this as a gift so I can’t complain about the price. I will definitely be using this to layer my exotic Arabian perfumes that are too deep and heavy for daytime wear to sweeten them up more.

Longevity is average on my skin but much better on clothes.

Update: I allowed the perfume to settle for a couple of days and tried it again today. It’s way more better and very flowery now. The longevity has also improved so I am much happier with the perfume now. Quite potent now compared to when I received it and wore it immediately.

MareaCamacho

This makes me super happy which is weird because when it came out in 2016 I was very uninterested with it.. I tried it again because I'm loving the idea of synthetic notes such as the calone and ambroxan... also moss is a favorite note of mine as well.

It lasts really well and projects enough for my liking. I would love to layer this with several other loves in my perfume arsenal...br540 , burberry her elixir, prada paradoxe intense, jasmin wisp, libre intense, black opium le parfum, etc. The list is can go on ... also since the raspberry is so sweet in this it would pair well with my deeper, darker scents .

Discokitty80

I love this scent year round. It is a beatiful, feminine, slightly fruity but sophisticated scent, and I have found it layers very well to change with the occasion. I get the most compliments on it when I layer it over my pomegranite or plum & amber bbw lotion to give it a deeper profile for night wear.

Jujas

Ooof.. as much as I wanted to love this, all I get is a very sour fruity mess. I’ve tried it numerous times just to see if it was maybe a one off. Nope. Still smells like sour juice spilled in a hot car.

mabelangel

this reeks of sugary apple juice boxes! i wouldn’t necessarily say it’s bad, but i don’t like it. it'd be far too cloying in any heat. it just reminds me of a little kids lunchbox

spideyjjk

the most beautiful, fruity, sexy scent in my opinion. preferred for those who love fruity especially strawberry or raspberry scent! lasts all day long, most likely suits better during the night but works regardless of the time of day. this scent makes you feel young and sexy but sophisticated and smart at the same time :)

nympholepsy

a fruitchouli BOMB but idk i kinda love it. it has hella notes but all i really get is raspberry, strawberry, vanilla and patchouli but it was also 80 something degrees when i sprayed it

smells like you snuck into an opium den on a gloomy day because you're living a double life as a cabaret dancer and not the talented liza minelli kind but the tone deaf, clumsy kind but you're the ultimate sex kitten so nobody cares
carmen from the lana del rey song of the same name would wear this

my 4 year old cousin loves the way it smells so ig i gotta find something not as heady for her once she hits 12/13 lol but we both loved it and when i wore my sample she always asked me to wear it and said i smelled nice so very high praise from my most important critic!

kristina_m

The first thing I smell is alcohol. Then I'm hit with super sweet sugar - I really dislike sugary sweet scents. It seems very 2-dimensional to me, I'm really surprised how popular it is. Luckily I only bought this in a small spray.

eausoislamic

I understand the popularity but it isn’t for me. When first sprayed, it is STRONG. Like. REALLY strong. The patchouli is way too powerful and it smells sickening mixed with the fruity notes. Upon drydown and some wear, it smells WAY better and more fruity floral.

blackcat02

Strawberry, floral, and patchouli. It just smells pretty. On me, this lasts sooo long, 3 sprays is enough for me and lasts 6+ hours

MonicaLV

It’s very fruity and young. It reminds me a whole lot of Dolce & Gabbana Rose. It has that same fresh tangy fruit. On me it doesn’t subdue, it remains the same as the opening throughout its 3ish hour wear.

los blancos

Mon Paris is an overrated scent for me. Yes, it’s fruity and light, but it doesn’t do wonders. I’m not sure why it’s that popular. I guess it can do with more Patchouli to give more strength.

sv02

I do like the scent but it's not catching enough for me it's missing something im not gravitated towards it , I think the longevity & sillage is a bit weak i don't smell this perfume anymore after a hour or less which is really sad bc it's expensive

miffy8721381

I'm so confused... this scent is beautiful when I *have* smelled it, but I've sampled and sampled it and gotten almost nothing! Why are the votes on sillage moderate-to-strong? Does my nose have faulty wiring, do I need to see a doctor? I'm driving myself insane.

ambervxyjul

This is a great blind buy and gift to someone because it’s pretty inoffensive and can appeal to all ages. It’s sparkly, fresh and has that floral dna. I love wearing this in the cooler months because it’s refreshing (cold) like snow is. It’s popular for a reason and even with all the flankers, you can’t beat the original.

sarahlage

Definitely appealing to the masses in the same way La Vie Est Belle is– feminine and sweet, very girly and fun! I would probably buy this for someone as a gift because I don't think it's a risky scent. If you like fragrances like La Vie Est Belle, you will also like this one, I think!

exogen

The fruity bubblegum scent quickly fades to a softer scent on the drydown, eventually reminding me of a fresh beach towel at a meticulously-maintained outdoor pool in a private club (hints of fresh laundry, sunscreen, and chlorine).

qianqian

I got a 2nd hand bottle at a good price so I have nothing to complain about the price here. It's very fruity, in a more synthetic way, and the calone is quite noticeable. Overall, it's not bad for a summer scent, but as with all YSL perfumes, spray sparingly so as to be kind to the noses of people who happen to sit besides you on public transport. It could be overly sweet for some people. For me, I am fine with sweet scents as long as they don't come too strong and artificial.

Gillzathrillza

It’s cute and I can see why YSL created it, because it’s a mass-appealer and I’m sure it’s making them a lot of money.

However, as nose-friendly as it is, it doesn’t last very long and it’s also not very original. For this price, I want impact, memorable and longevity - I don’t get any of them. It’s lovely but it’s fleeting, and there are plenty of others which smell just like this.

I reckon if Sol de Janeiro tried to make something with similar notes, you’d be able to smell like this for a fraction of the price.

feuermaiden

Super sugary fruits with a background of white flowers and patchouli dry down. Nothing special, just a pleasant crowd pleaser. Very juvenile, girly, and body spray like. Totally boring to me and not full bottle worthy for the price - just get you something from Victoria’s Secret or B&BW if you’re going for this vibe.

3/10

Ambrocia scents

I just realized🤔🤔after months of wearing la Nuit tresor (by lancome), and just got this recently, they smell so similar.sweet fruity feminine. Just that la Nuit bottle gives a dark vibe while Mon Paris is more day time looking.but they smell ridiculously similar, perhaps it's because they both have notes of strawberry, pear and vanilla and patchouli. They both smell lovely.cant beat la nuit's longevity though

Thykes10

There is lots of fruit in the opening. I get mainly strawberry and raspberry but there’s a sugary quality to it. I can occasionally get whiffs of peony but on me this is mainly a sweet fruity scent. This is just ok for me- I'm not usually into fruit-forward scents. I would say this has moderate projection and longevity and definitely is a feminine scent.

judearose123

This reminds me of the Victoria Secret perfumes I wore when I was 19-20, after I graduated from Bath and Body Works mists. Fruity, sweet and sexy crowd pleaser. This is higher quality, less synthetic and a lot more refined. The sweet fruits are grounded by the double dose of patchouli, and the datura flower and white musk are a perfect base combo. I’ve never had an issue with performance within the first few hours after application, I always wish I would’ve used a lighter hand when I’m rolling down my windows in the car. Strong projection for the first few hours, I would bring a travel size if you prefer strong projection all day long.

Clairexoxo

On my skin, this is completely gone in 1 hour. Sad...

nisarsarah9

I love this fragrance but I can't wear it too often because its too strong for my liking. However, I recently read here that someone was asking about a dupe version of this fragrance which I myself came across a while back. It is 'Her Paris' from The Dua Brand. It does not have the strong scent that this fragrance originally has and gives me a headache, but it stays for so long. It isn't heavy on the pockets so whoever is looking for a dupe must try out Dua's version.

cgaleb

Mon Paris is a light fruity delight when it’s first sprayed. However, after an hour it was gone completely on my skin. I used a whole sample on my skin, on a hot summer day. I do think this is perfect for summer. I just wish that it lasted longer.

Sophia97

It's one of those scents that I like to wear on gloomy days to brighten the mood. The fruity tones are so gorgeously juicy, and I adore the little acidity. It is fruity, flirtatious, and very feminine. It's just that the smell is extraordinary. But the fact that it's a little pricey for me is something that makes me a little unhappy. I would love to discover a dupe or affordable scent that smells similar to this.

igalmusic

This is not your typical fruity-girly scent, patchouli and musk are adding more depth, peony, datura flower and raspberry are also very prominent, it's a very sexy fragrance. The intensment version it's way more sweeter-jammy rose , the couture one it's more zesty-fresher, I personally absolutely love the original Mon Paris, great longevity and stunning bottle.

elisssaxo

I love this one but gives me a headache after about an hour

Hifza

This fragrance reminds me of my childhood memory having a fruity candy DAILY. It’s pretty good and I do have a candy moment of mine whenever I wear this fragrance. I have even received so many compliments on my date nights and even been told it sits my chirpy personality, but the only drawback is that it becomes very powdery once it dries down. I do not want to give up on this fragrance but with a heavy heart I am looking for a fragrance which has the same scent but doesn’t get powdery.

Scentfanatic87

This smells exactly like Ari. Which is disappointing to say the least since it's three times the price. The notes continue with the same consistency and the same sweet raspberry.

Love YSL but it you have Ari or can get it skip this.

Glamour_Magick3

Based on the votes I tried this in spring and it was too fresh, watery and cooling for me. But I revisited this fragrance w a hot humid day in the summer (post rain) and it hit different!

Its refreshing. Its fun and playful. Its an easy reach for anything day time: working out, running errands or just enjoying yourself in the summer w. A glass of rose or white wine.

Its not sexy so I would not wear it at night. Its a fruity freshie for summer.

Not sure if I would repurchase. I will decide by the end of summer

Enrium

Mon Paris is as much a flanker to YSL Paris as Black Opium is to any version of Opium - that is to say, they have nothing in common. I don't know why YSL create these misleadingly-named non-flankers of their classics. Paris is one of my favourite scents - a bold, powdery violet-rose - whereas MP is a sickly-sweet, incoherent fruichouli. I'm not a big fan of sweet scents at the best of times, but this was a disappointment. I'm surprised that MP is frequently compared to Miss Dior Chérie above - where the latter was a clever fruitchouli-gourmand that was made with high-quality ingredients and was beautifully balanced, MP is a synthetic, syrupy mish-mash.

MP opens with sweet orange notes, bright and juicy, followed closely by synthetic strawberry. It is somewhat aquatic here. Syrupy raspberry follows, sugary-sweet, and slightly musky synthetic pear rounds out the sweetness. It more resembles confectionery than natural fruit.

As it develops, sweet white florals emerge, led by synthetic orange blossom - a lazy attempt to bridge the gap from the fruity opening to the floral heart. This type of synthetic, syrupy orange blossom is a mainstay of many mass-market modern feminine scents. Sweet, synthetic jasmine (predictably) rounds it out.

Syrupy vanillin keeps things sweet as it dries down, with a cloud of patchouli acting as an earthy counterpoint to the sweetness. There is liberal ambroxan used in the base, a synthetic grey amber-y cloud underneath the floral-fruitiness. It fades to a sweet skin scent with ambroxan lingering until final fade. Sillage is moderate and longevity is long-lasting.

A girlishly feminine floral-fruity-patchouli, MP is much too sweet and synthetic for my liking. A lighthearted, sugary concoction aimed at teenagers, but unpleasant to my nose. 1.5/5.

creamyandlight

Smells like an elegant version of raspberry syrup. Unfortunately just a bit too generic to me. Definitely more of an evening scent, to me.

Lotte_Liese

This is a very fruity, rather deceptively light and sweet white floral fragrance. It's inoffensive, crowd pleasing and a good daily wear scent. It's the sort of scent you own because you'd rather wear fireworks during the weekend but keep it safe for your 9 to 5.

Trizzyluxe

Fruit forward, sweet, appropriate for all ages. A very feminine smell that is lovely and flirtatious.

lynne2

There were expectations and a 'flirt' with a fragrance each time I was in store. And each time I ended up confused and irritated. It promised fruity sparkling strawberry champagne but at the very end it was ruined by standart chypre. Oh well. Now I know. Miss Dior Cherie always caused me allergies and nausea. If you blind buy this, be aware it's more mature than it's advertised.

Snowflake8000

I want to like this, but this is too sweet for me. Especially on the opening. Very syrupy.

Maria19

Charming! I usually don't like tanginess in a fragrance, but in this one it works. I can smell the vanilla but otherwise this is a celebration of fruity notes. Well balanced, a quality scent.

bijou_

My signature fragrance forever ! Super fruity and sweet, definitely could see this being overwhelming for people that don't love sweet frags especially as this lasts forever on my skin with amazing projection using only a couple of sprays. The fruity notes are so beautifully juicy and there is a slight tartness that I love. I first tried this alongside burberry her and although I did find them somewhat similar due to the prominent strawberry notes, I could not stop smelling the wrist I sprayed with mon paris because the dry down was just soooo good to my nose.

celestial

After the initial sweet fruity opening, Mon Paris turns into a synthetic plasticky unpleasant scent. This is a perfume with a lot of potential, which is held back by the strong musk and ambroxan in the base notes.

Icarel

Mon Paris is my definition of the term "fruitchouli". As the term indicates, for my nose, it is a very fruity, berry-like fragrance, with a strong dose of raspberry, strawberry and patchouli, making the smell rather powerful. I really like this perfume. It's nice, it's extremely versatile, one of the or even the most versatile in my collection. A true Cameleon, it adapts to all situations and lasts a long time. What more could we ask for?! IMO it can really suits any kind of settings; you just need to adapt the number of sprays. Too bad it's not immensely popular, overshadowed by its siblings Black Opium and Libre, because it's worth it, and it's a sure and safe bet if you like berries and patchouli! It's a keeper :D

JustSimpleThings

This is sooooo nice! It smells straight up like a real fresh strawberry to my nose! 😍❤️ Perfect, earthy strawberry 🍓 goodness!

0h3ricaa

Floral, fruity, bubblegum yumminess! Florals mixed with fruits and a hint of musk to tie it in. Such a great spring/summer scent! 🍓 I smell strawberry, raspberry, pear, and I wish I could say blackberry? Florals do come into play, but the fruitiness and Musk settle in. Such a beautiful fragrance!

This isn’t your normal type of juvenile fruitiness, very nicely blended! This fragrance is sweet, but also deep and has a bit of darkness to it? It may be the moss and patchouli, but the patchouli isn’t as deep and dark as the patchouli in Scandal or Angel muse. It takes more of a backseat while the fruits take center stage! I agree with everyone who says this is like a sparkling fruit drink! A more mature take on sweet and fruity.
/(^ x ^)\

The perfect spring perfume! This could even pass for the fall and summer, just be careful in the heat cause it may come off cloying. This fragrance definitely brings me joy ✨

OfTheValley

I insist on buying fruitchoulis that smell nice on others, forgetting that they turn dry and almost sour on my super dry skin, to be dissolved within an hour, whatever the brand, the concentration and the the composition. This one is very nice on others, I can barely smell it on me. I am a forced amber vanilla, spicy-unisex and gourmand lover. All the rest, can only be worn by me on a southern European summer, where they turn fresh and can be detected. At least I never risk to end up with a cloying scent: my skin won't let that happen. It's just a little consolation though, which makes me regret the purchase of all the fruitchoulis in my collection 😔

Maabena85

I bought this from a declutter sale. wore it today.I remembered I had smelled it before and zara vibrant leather. its clean and fresh. will I spend more on this again no, I will go for zara vibrant leather.

ad4

I was trying this version, Intensement and Floral version and this one is for me definitely the best but still nothing I'd buy. It's more fresh and less floral than the two other I've tried but I'm still not getting almost any patchouli. Average longevity, I smelled it a little bit after lunch but not very strongly. Sillage is also average and overall feel is pretty generic.

SweetJhane

I have a travel size of Mon Paris. It is virtually indistinguishable from two other scents I have - Hot Couture (original release) and White Diamonds en Rouge. When I first applied it, I truly thought the label was incorrect and it was really Hot Couture. All three share sweetness (although WDR is the least sweet of the three) as well as a strong raspberry note, which I truly love in perfume. They all have excellent longevity on me and leave a trail. My favorite of these is White Diamonds en Rouge because to me it has a fresher fruitiness. I already have enough backups of that to take me into old age, so even though the MP bottle is just gorgeous, I don’t need it.

Atomikbomb_

I cannot believe this is classified as a chypre, it's the furthest thing to my nose! But...I actually think this has more depth than it's reputed to...at least more than I anticipated.

It opens with delicious berries! I think it straddles the line perfectly, as they don't lean too sweet, but they're also juicy and very pleasant, and tart enough to be convincing.

It's *lightly* floral in tone. Airy, feminine and very pretty. I think they're all blended fabulously well actually, nothing pulls ahead too terribly much, although it does smell slightly more of a girly rose, or peony (sometimes it's hard to distinguish which). When matched with clean patchouli (this isn't the dirtier variety) it feels familiar and dare I say it..."common". Still, although it's an overplayed style of perfume, this is executed well and I find it hard to imagine folks not enjoying this. It's just so *nice*.

Nothing about this is groundbreaking, I actually find it average in many ways. There are no surprises here, but longevity&sillage are decent, it smells lovely, and it's super approachable. I do like it quite a lot, I admit.

Mea.fleur

A happy feminine perfume, like strawberry champagne on a summer day. Every time my coworker walks by I get a waft of this- smells like fully intact hopes and dreams. Sweet, fruity, clean, and bubbly. The fresh note adds something unique that other fruity florals don’t have. This is easily one of the strongest perfumes I own- for this reason I often avoid it. I over sprayed on a jacket and it projected for weeks. Lovely, optimistic, beautiful juice.

irlfireprincess

Sharp, loud, synthetic mishmash of indistinguishable fruits and flowers unfortunately studded by a nauseating blast of patchouli - this is exactly how I also describe La Nuit Tresor. It’s a big no from me.

farah_1111

Mon paris smells like strawberry sparkling champagne, sweet fruity fresh perfume
quite exspensive tho
<3

Kittycat63

I smelled and tested Mon Paris for the first time the other day, drawn in by the fact that I used to have a bottle of the original Paris perfume years ago (and liked it, plus it was a compliment getter!) and by the pretty bottle and colour of the perfume (reminiscent of Tresor Midnight Rose, which I adore). Sadly, this perfume was a flop for me. Firstly, when I asked the sales girl how much it was, she checked the perfume box and, apparently, it was close to £100 (about $125.00) and, whilst I knew it wouldn't be cheap that price is very over-priced, as far as I'm concerned. The reviews for this perfume on here are a bit all over the place - some say it's very sweet, very strawberry'ish with champagne, some say it's reminiscent of macaroons (almond'y?! I don't smell almonds in it at all!), some say it's ideal for young women under the age of 25, etc, etc. To me, it's one of those quite generically slightly fruity, very patchouli heavy (I HATE patchouli!), slightly cold smelling perfumes that just doesn't appeal to me a whole lot. It's neither repulsive to my nose, but neither is it enticing. I don't get a champagne note either - it smells far more dry and less 'bubbly' than I'd expect a champagne note to smell like. One review here has likened it to Alien in some way and I'd agree with that (and I HATE Alien!) - to me it's that cold, synthetic smell. On me, this perfume lasted a long time just from one little spritz on my wrist, and I can still smell it quite strongly on the sleeve of the jacket I wore that day, so at least it has longevity which makes the over-pricing a bit less bad.

I this perfume is far too generic and ubiquitous smelling to be a real standout, special perfume in any way. Having said that, it would be relatively okay as an office type scent, used with a light hand and not over-sprayed, as the 'coldness' of it smells fairly professional and a bit clinical in a way, and it would be better suited to someone who's maybe mid-20s onwards as I think it's too mature smelling for a younger woman / girl who'd likely be suited to something lighter & fresher with a bit of sweetness. Either way, it's a miss for me and definitely not worth the price tag - I'd rather give that money to a charitable cause than spend it on a nothing special perfume! (Oh, and the original Paris perfume is far more distinctive and more likeable to me!).

Kekekie

I have Mon Paris Intensément, I chose it over Mon Paris, I've tried Mon Paris again, I do like it, but it's the dry down that bothers me. I think it's the patchouli.

Lasura

There is something about this fragrance…Berry notes are not realistic to me, not really getting recognizeble fruity notes. I don’t get citrus or the flowers either, maybe it is patchouli with vanilja that I get almost totally, but with something extra. This blend works for me, I think this is beautiful interesting scent and it stays on forever.

TarahB

This scent is a fruit bomb! I get a blast of raspberry & strawberry mixed with florals, it drys down to a deeper fruity floral musk scent which I love!
Only problem is I have to spray LOTS to make it last, even on clothes! I got it for a great price @ boots so I don’t regret buying it!

Blue Orchid

I purchased this as a box set and at the time, I was going by the test strip. The test strip smelled divine. After I got it and started wearing, I hated it on me.

It is an extremely intense smell on me and not at all what I like. The patchouli, jasmine, and cedar combined is very overpowering and settles into a very masculine smell on me. Even on dry down, it's faintly masculine. This is not one for me.

lickroicevanille

To me it smells like macaroons, a bit almond, quite nice but not ground breaking.

makitakeshita

Tried a sample. This is the office woman's scent...umm boring.
I think the white musk makes me dislike it. Sorry.

AnneKirby

Candy sweet and synthetic red berries scent with a touch of orange and a very faint flowery-patchouli accord in the background, but predominantly a fruity fragrance. Pleasant, fun and girly to the point of being almost juvenile, with moderate projection and longevity. Not sparkling, not fresh but just an overdose of sweetness. Not very complex and not suitable for the office to me as it doesn't exude elegance or sophistication. Doesn't smell like an expensive perfume because of the dominant synthetic fruity notes, and lacks character so not worth the price tag in my opinion. This would be a lovely candle scent. Really cute bottle design though.

Fatima1219

Mon Paris truly smells like an inedible fruity candy and sparkling fruit juice! I bought this in 2018. A coworker and I stopped at the mall close to our job and did a little shopping. This was the first time we had a girls outing together. Of course, I had to buy fragrances! I'll never forget, I purchased Mon Paris and Jessica Simpson's Fancy on that day. Both were gift sets. This was the first time I'd smelled either. Pretty remarkable day, huh? Mon Paris is a joyful fragrance. Full of effervescence and personality. It is a feel-good fragrance that can be worn almost anywhere. A safe go-to when you don't know what fragrance you'd like to wear. To my nose, the peony note is the star of this show. Mon Paris is a quality fruitcholi, that is very well-blended. Nothing is over-powering. It is not juvenile, neither does the patchouli weigh it down and age it. It is just a fun fragrance that has great longevity and sillage. Mon Paris envelopes you, and wraps a scent bubble around you that is not bold, but feminine and flirty. This fragrance is great for any age. Especially, if you are fond of body mists. Mon Paris is fruity and fun like most body mists, but it has much better longevity. In my opinion, this is a safe blind buy for the woman who does not take herself too seriously.

saho93

It is nice. Fruity floral with a little bit of edge not to make it overwhelmingly sweet. It is pleasant.

The bottle with the ribbon is pretty. Love the color of the juice, to boot.

ReeReeLove

For some reason I went thru a brief period when I couldn't stand the smell of this perfume. It seemed that the patchouli was way too prominent to me but not in a good way. But I've fell in love all over again. It's so fruity and floral and I can really smell the vanilla come thru which all together work really well with the patchouli. This will definitely be a mainstay in my collection.

cats_eye

This is like a baby Angel/Coco Mademoiselle/Euphoria/Chance. Fruitchouli with roses and a "fresh" note through

Gabbylikesperfumelikeher

My ex gifted me this years ago when I was 19 and I loved it. Used the whole bottle over the year. I sampled it today and it’s a no. It’s not that it’s bad, I think some would enjoy this. But I do think it isn’t that great. It smells like a fruity floral perfume. It’s kind of sourish which I’m guessing is the raspberry and the florals are nice. But for comparison, I love the Chanel Chance eau tendre, it’s a great grapefruit light floral that has a slight soapy smell to it, it’s clean, refreshing but not harsh actually comforting. Mon Paris is bright. Very bright and fruity with some floral. Not a lot of sweet or comfort to it which makes this mature and sharper to me. Not sexy or laid back. I will give it its credit that it always lasted on my clothes for days! But, I think this is a very preppy or mature scent. Someone who is put to.geth.er. Less classy than Chanel Gabrielle, less fruity than Chanel Chance Tendre and less floral than Miss Dior. She’s ok, but with so many others out there she is forgettable.

Autumn_Moon

I have a travel spray of this one, which I obtained around the time of its release; I decided to revisit it again.

For the most part, this comes off as a mix of sweet, juicy mix of summery fruits and florals. (This seems to be what happens on my skin, though... I've noticed that many perfumes tend to pull "sweeter" on me than others report, so you may experience something else entirely.) I get berries when I wear this. Strawberry and raspberry? Sure, I can see that. "Ripe berries, thoroughly pulverized in a blender and sweetened with plenty of sugar syrup, with a faint, floral breeze in the background on a bright, sunny day" is how I might describe this scent. Orange, tangerine, and bergamot? Hmmmm... no, not so much. However, it may be one of the few modern, fruity perfumes I find wearable. I do not detect the citrus aspect of this, nor do I pick up the aquatic/calone note. I can feel the vanilla, a clean version of patchouli, and some musk in the base. MP feels smooth and uniform, not unlike the experience of ordering your favorite blended coffee drink from the menu of your regular coffee shop; you know what you're getting, and it doesn't change from moment to moment, or from day to day. It projects well, and seems long-lasting; I can still catch hints of it the following morning.

Normally, I run into issues with perfumes containing ambroxan or cetalox (my nose doesn't register them "correctly"), so it's shocking that I can wear this successfully. In fact, not only can I wear it, but I don't notice the ambroxan note. So, either it's blended in such a way as to cover it up, or the amount used is below the threshold at which I can normally detect it.

It's a departure from the types of scents I usually gravitate towards, so I plan to use the rest of my travel-sized spray when the mood strikes (I have about half of a 10ml bottle remaining), as it's nice to change things up a bit now and again. It's pleasant; however, I don't think I could see myself buying a full bottle... not because it's bad (it isn't), but because it seems as though my ever-developing tastes are leading me in a different direction.

YourFragranceFriend

This fragrance opens with a blast of slightly sweet almost bitter and dry fruit. It's backed by soft florals. The fragrance radiates a warmth that is likely from the jasmine coming to life once on skin. There's something I can't quite describe in this. It's a bit earthy, cardboardy, musty even that's present. At times, it reminded me of soy sauce. I think it's the calone that's often used in aquatic colognes. Others I know don't smell this but it's definitely present to my nose. I also think the warm jasmine can come off like drier sheets.

Overall, if you don't smell that in this fragrance, it's good for spring and doesn't smell too much like anything else. If you do pick up on this weirdness, it doesn't ruin the fragrance but doesn't make me like it either. I will say, the Dossier dupe is pretty spot on. It's just slightly weaker as confirmed by many people who have smelled them side by side and blind.

siynaloa

Could easily be a signature scent for the cold weather, it classy, sophisticated
A beautiful Chypre well blended
I can distinct the fruits from the flowers, i feel like this is the continuity of the parisienne story

Noelly88

Very sweet. The fruits are the most prominent on me. I’m not able to pick out any of the other scents independently, but I’m sure they add to the perfume. It’s a bit of a synthetic berry smell. Reminds me of the 2000s. I enjoy it, it’s an easy wear. Good blind buy for a high schooler or 20 something, but anyone could wear it. On me it is similar to Gucci Gorgeous Gardenia and Viva La Juicy.
I think the longevity depends on when / where you bought it. When I sampled in store the scent lasted hours on my skin. I bought a bottle off of Fragrance Net and it doesn’t seem to last as long, or maybe I’m going nose blind to it. Disappointing, this is my first experience of this kind with Fragrance Net.

chrrrly

this just smells like bubble mix

thecounterculturist

Adore the opening, loathe the heart.

This dances into your nose with sparkling champagne and fresh juicy fruits—a truly effervescent experience. However, after 20 minutes, the ecstatic bliss fades revealing the same tragic synthetic quality that crashes the party and ruins the fun for a great deal of designer fragrances.

Want to love it.
Cannot tolerate it.

Maneera

Very fruity. Very pretty. Very girl-next-door type of fragrance. This is not the perfume that will make you stand out, but then….I don’t want to make a statement with my perfume every single day.
Everyone wants a “likeable” scent in their collection. And this one is just that for me.
I feel pretty and young when I wear this one 👍

hollyamelie

Ultra-feminine and romantic, fairly sweet but it rounds out the more it dries down. A go-to for date nights or to pair with a floral dress! It gives a similar sort of feel to Miss Dior - there's no hint of any sort of masculine edge here, this is unadulterated femininity without being juvenile. Champagne and strawberries is a great comparison!

BrittJ

Probably one of my favorite scents. Not too old fashioned but sophisticated. Strawberries and champagne is what it reminds me of. Love it. Will continue to buy it.

ilydemirel

It's like armani-my way but with patchouli and framboise. Without patchouli, thats not special.

UnchainedHeart

I am firmly in the "Chypre" camp. A good Chypre floral makes my eyes roll back in my head. My favorite scent in the world is vintage Miss Dior Cherie. Imagine my surprise when on my skin, this perfume is almost an exact dupe! I don't get the strawberry scent hardly at all, only the first minute of application, and then it immediately morphes into a sexy sweet Chypre floral just like MDCherie. After all the bad reviews, I would never have purchased this alone, but there was a mini bundled with other fragrances I wanted. It just goes to show that perfume must be tested on SKIN to determine the final fragrance. This one is a win for me.

AmandaBucik

So sexy, cant wait to buy it🫶🏻

SoftWisdom

I like the cute fresh strawberry champagne at the top, but it dries down on my skin to something more generic. The patchouli doesn't bother me, I love patchouli! Still, I think of window cleaner just like some others here, not a scent I dislike but I don't want to smell like it. I imagine this smelling great on a teen or young adult with an ingenue, sweet and innocent aura. As far as designer strawberries go, I like Valentina better because of the truffle note. Still looking for a strawberry fragrance that doesn't smell like candy, youth, or a suffocating oud syrup. Just natural strawberries with longevity, does such a scent exist?

blkleather_redlace

I remember smelling this in a strip in a magazine somewhere around the time it launched and finding it pleasant. The sample I have from 2022 would be more interesting and enjoyable if it were less polite. It's a bit better as it's drying down, but the overwhelming impression is the sweet peony and slightly annoying musk. There is an appealing oiliness from the "datura accord," I guess. Something white floral, but I want it to be stronger with more patchouli. It reminds me of something from Victoria's Secret, but I don't know what.

eneqvist

Reading some of these reviews, I wonder if they describe a different fragrance. Clearly I experience something very different. It smells a lot like strawberries, but the mossy patchouli? It is far too strong for me. I can appreciate patchouli and have several fragrances with that note, but this is too much. The moss is probably not helping either. I would not call this fresh at all. To me this is like smelling mashed up, overripe strawberries in a dank, wet forest. Nothing to do with spring or daytime. Fortunately we all experience scents differently, so no offense to those who love this perfume. I only describe how it smells to me (and yes, I did wear this multiple times to see how it developed). I do however believe that on the right person, it could be a sexy evening scent. Maybe...

Hifza

What an amazing fusion of floral and fruity notes! Love the scent. Its too balanced and fresh. Also, the packaging is way too attractive.

Ruba99

I consider this to be my signature scent i love it so much , its a compliment getter

alyssarware

Smells like a strawberry sweet tart but in a more chalky way. Maybe like if one of those regular conversation heart candies had a little bit of strawberry to it, it's not super sweet. Just a chalky strawberry

fairycoffins

I tried this in a sample, and it was a like rather than a love, so I’m glad I didn’t blindly fork over the money for a full-sized bottle. It’s a beautiful scent, but it’s just not really me. It performed well enough. I think it’s the calone/musk/moss notes that made it not quite right for me. I’ve recently bought VS Bombshell Magic, which is extremely similar, but it does not contain the aforementioned notes I’m not crazy about. (Bombshell Magic consists of blackberry, peony, patchouli and vanilla, at a fraction of the price — I got the 1 oz bottle on sale for $20.)

La Bella Rosa 222

I've had quite a ride with this one. It was my first designer, "big girl" perfume which I stupidly bought blindly. I hated it! It had so much patchouli! At the time, I didn't really know what patchouli was, so I didn't think it'd bother me. I never got rid of it and managed to use quite a bit of my 30ml bottle and finally abandoned it fro a year or so. Recently, I've started to wear it again an I LOVE it!!! I definitely still get the patchouli but it doesn't bother me.. Its a great "perfumy" scent for younger noses IMO.... It's a typical floral fruitchuoulli but its really nice! Now Im sad that my bottle is almost finished lol. It does give me a slight headache tho. Btw, this layered on top of the Soap And Glory Righteous Body Butter is heavenly!!!

Golabd

Got two compliments in 1 hour from my senior colleagues. And I was not expecting it from them. More importantly I personally love it

Shanipoo

This one is freaking delicious! It's a sparkling fruitchouli dream!! I get a ton of the strawberry and patchouli, but each note plays such an important role creating such a unique scent! Like if flowerbomb and burberry her had a lovechild that outdid them both. Sparkling juicy fruits, freshness, white florals and a chypre base.. this is truly one of a kind

dgtzsrz

Based on the reviews I was truly looking forward to try it, but once I did, it didn’t grow on me.

It smells really good but it doesn’t stand out to me, it smells like a generic fruity fragrance.

Soledad89

My nose instantly picks up the patchouli here, but given the other fruity and floral notes it doesn't come off as sickly and annoying, and I can tolerate it. The scent is just too sweet for me, even to the point of smelling synthetic, especially when I first sprayed it. I realized the second time I tried it on my skin not to overspray to make the scent more pleasant. Even then, the scent is nothing new, still the usual sweet stuff I have smelled in other perfumes.

Kxtie

This is such a beautiful fruity scent, I definitely get notes in the opening of the strawberry and raspberry. The opening is almost a little sickly in how sweet it is, however the dry down is beautiful. The scents settle into a subtle fruity flavour with a soft hint of florals and vanilla. It’s super friendly, day time scent that I love.

SakuraFalls

There is so much going on here, in a good way. This is my first time trying an YSL. I got an Edp mini (sample.) This smells so nice!
Only thing is I now get the headache that some people say they get when they smell certain perfumes. The headache went away after 10 minutes.
I want to give it more tries and see if I can handle it hopefully without the initial headache.
My baby loved it. She kept sniffing my arm and reaching for the bottle. It was surprising to me lol. I have tried many scents recently but she only reacted like that to this one- we'll have to see if my husband reacts the same way haha.
It goes really well with my natural scent and is beautiful on its' own as well.

fujokei

This is such a "safe" buy but I wouldn't tell it to be unique or something to be a signature scent. It smells very common to me, but the scent is not offensive and it is actually good, especially for teens. The balance of the sweetness and fruitiness is good. I will definitely buy the full bottle of this if I have an extra lol. But for now I don't think I would buy the full bottle because like what I said, the scent is very common and it doesn't have anything special on it. It's just a safe and good buy.

Anfissa

To me this smells like a fruity fizzy alcoholic beverage with rose and earthy undertones on the dry down. The bottle is very chic.

Nazzger

Omg i Just got my bottle today but i did not expect to smell so much Champagne in this perfume, Champagne makes me have a bit of nausea but i will try to get used to it, at first made me think of LVEB sweet and Patchouli and i have the bodylotion for summer from LVEB and i think to wear it with this perfume as it seems more lighter to LVEB. A sweet berry Champagne Patchouli perfume modern girly scent.

likesleet

champagne? interesting texture: this literally smells like sparkling juice

kdawg09

I agree with the "champagne and strawberries" comment. I love it and it's my mans new favorite on me as well!

PuppyFever

Mon Paris has a sparkling and cute fruity-floral opening with a dominant aquatic strawberry note, but that bitter-green patchouli dry down is a mess, and it has completely put me off from trying the entire line of flankers. When I spray this perfume my skin smells like burnt rubber or wet cigarettes and unfortunately, it lingers until the scent completely fades away. It's the only perfume that has ever done that on my skin. I wish I got the top notes throughout the entire wear instead. What a waste because I like this scent profile :(

carlylovests

i’m absolutely in love with this product. i’m still a very young girl and i love berry scents. if you like fruity scents, then maybe you’ll like this. of course everyone is going to have different opinions, but this perfume is definitely my new favorite (for now)

Serena007

Champagne and strawberries. That's what it smells like to me, such a beautiful fragrance! If "happy" was a scent, this would be it. It's just fresh enough to not be nauseating but it is still sweet. You can definitely smell the white florals in this one as well as a hint of citrus. The vanilla gives it a perfect touch of warmth. I'd say this would be an amazing option for a signature scent: fits every occasion, it's elegant and easy to like which is perfect for everyday wear but seductive enough to be worn on nicer occasions too. It might not be the fragrance that always stands out but that is the beauty of the fragrance. The dry down reminds me quite a bit of one of my all time favourites, Sí Fiori. The gorgeous bottle is a plus too. Absolutely recommend this one.

OneidaWelty

This is such a sweet scent, "berry" fruity and floral mix. I smell the strawberry note predominantly on this, and as it wears on I smell patchouli. If you like sweet scents, this is one you can have in your wardrobe. <3

StrawberriesAndCream

I wanted to like this because I saw the berry notes but it’s not what I expected. It gives off a very generic perfume smell, something I’d find in my moms collection.

femmefumes

I'm not familiar with datura. There's something about this that I don't love - I'm guessing it's the datura or peony. Having said that, it's still good and unique. Has a sweet quality very floral bubblegum. It smells clean too, tad bit like laundry. Powdery yet aquatic - it might be from the calone note. It's feminine and original.

cecilysmells

This smells like cashmere and pear which sounds nice but really it’s a weird pair.

Gyps

Fruity floral that can be worn every day. I prefer the Intensement to this one.

Mr. Blind Buy

To me it's a simple fruity smell. Nothing more or less. Strawberry is what stands out the most. Women usually have more fruity notes while guys are stuck with just citrus fruits. I love the smell of fruits and haven't found a cologne that is fruity smelling. However I don't wear this a s a stand alone fragrance, I layer this with Cartier's L'envol which is a cologne but has a super sweet smell which some people pass it for a unisex smell. I definitely think women would love that fragrance for themselves actually. The L'envol has a sweet honey smell and the Mon Paris adds to it's sweetness by adding the fruits in. Mon Paris is light so it doesn't overbear but compliments my cologne. By itself, I'd say Mon Paris is safe buy and could see women wearing this a regular everyday scent but not for a special occasion

bella1019

very complex sweet scent! one of my favs, i would say it’s like a cousin to burberry her! however this is quite powdery and tends to dry down very faint and tart but i love this perfume :)

ca$hm3re

As a fruity fragrance, I should like this… and yet it’s so NOTHING to me. Every time I smell it I feel like I’m waiting to smell something that just never comes.

Maybe this is a me problem, but I really want to like this and make it work, and yet I feel like a big chunk of it is missing and I’m smelling the after smell. Maybe I’m nose blind to this and not feeling the full effect.

Shame ☹️

PlanetGrl

I think I finally understand the term ‘fruitchouli’. It’s almost like perfumers have a mathematical formula that produces this same type of fragrance with ease. That said, I quite like this. Patchouli in the wrong place or too high in concentration has put me off many a fragrance lately, but here it is just allowed to buoy the lighter notes (I assume to help with lasting). It is not permitted to run unchecked and become so loud that it overtakes the other notes with its usual medicinal astringency. Masters of the craft, these perfumers.

Kratos07

It's so funny how a few reviewers stated that this perfume evokes the type of person they want to be, because I had that same thought as well. LOL

I think most people don't want to feel like they're too much or too little of anything, and instead would rather feel balanced in all facets of life.

It's a beautiful scent (for those who like it) because it's not too much or too little of anything. It's part sweet, sexy, professional, casual/comforting, warm, cool, familiar, exciting; and it can be worn in essentially all seasons, day or night.

This is a put-together scent, and adds a great finishing touch to a carefully done ensemble. I don't wear this scent when I feel grody and am in a bad mood because I am not being who I desire to be in that instance, and the perfume would just highlight that. LOL (again)

Nil3

Why was my comment taken down ?
I wrote :
The reviewers here definitely know their noses and that this scent IS indeed, IMO, super generic and mainstream .
Nothing new .
Boring !

Compostflower

I love strawberry scents my first was coach poppy blossom and this one is wonderful too. This is a thick scent to me and bold. The first spray reminded me exactly of the scent when you walk into a sephora, definitely a high end perfume. The amber is definitely front and center or the ambroxan i should say. There is that tinge of a sharp perfumey goodness as an after scent too. Its very sweet and lush, kind of reminds me of armani si in the sweet and thick department. I enjoy it alot.

Nil3

The comments of the reviewers are correct.
The reviewers know their noses.
'Granny' ish……super generic. Nothing new or unique. Very mainstream quality. Nothing out -olfactive - standing.

Boring .

lunaenae

this was the first big girl perfume i received in high school. it served me well at the time but now about 5 years later i can’t stand the smell of it! i would say it is perfect for a young girl, but as one’s tastes develops with age you might end up changing your mind! i will be passing it down to my younger cousin :)

ibralemmi

Nope. This is not that likeable at all i think.
This has a twist to it that I just dont like, I dont wanna use the word but when it turns “granny-ish” and in general also its for me a disappointing perfume.
This certain note is in Miss Dior, LA BELLE INTENSE, Bitter Peach etc. Is it the musk? Idk. When people say grandma thats what I think they’re talking about. It has nothing to do with grandmas though obviously.
Veeery disappointed
